Getting a loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Confusing or misleading advertising or marketing
Complaint: My last complaint was closed because it was determined it was a duplicate complaint which isn't true. Look at my prior complaints to both Companies Bridgecrest Credit Company and XXXX XXXX. Through misleading tactics from both companies I have been misled and has suffered from mistakes from both companies. To recap I bought a vehicle from XXXX XXXX from there XXXX XXXX, Maryland location in XX/XX/XXXX. It was a XXXX XXXX XXXX. After a long battle of arguing with both companies it was bought back from me because of the rust and mechanical issues I was having because of Flood Damage to the vehicle before I had owned the vehcile. So after numerous days off taking the vehicle in to repair shops for opinions and getting things documented it was finally bought back from in XX/XX/XXXX. So I was told at the time unknowingly that the money I had paid into my first vehicle wouldn't count on my Credit Score and wouldn't be entitled to any of the 6 plus months of on-time payments. So when I was put into my new vehicle from this company I could only use my original down payment towards my new vehicle. At the time I was just happy I was able to get out of my current vehicle and into a lower mileage vehicle. So My interest rate was raised because of things outside of my control and was told after many discussions that Bridgecrest wasn't in charge of setting my interest rate even though they are my Finance Company but XXXX XXXX would have that ability. So my interest rate was raised and after also fighting this point it was also offered to match my original interest rate of my prior vehicle but because I was upset at the time and lost my temper, that settlement was taken off the table. I was rightfully upset and I can only apologize for my shortcomings. For this complaint I am requesting some more answers to my ongoing concerns. I have been in contact with Maryland State Police Automotive Safety Division which is in charge of Maryland State Inspection Inspectors and Guidelines. Too much time has passed since getting my original vehicle so they cant investigate the issue of how my original vehicle ever passed inspection. The first thing I would like if it would be possible to see what happened to that vehicle after I had returned it to XXXX XXXX. I your companies cant help me to with this I will be forced to take legal action and research it myself to make sure someone else didn't get into this unsafe vehicle. I was told verbally without knowing and signed documentation that gave top my ability or to have been made aware that all of my payments form my prior vehicle was not entitled to me as well as the 6 months of on-time payments which is unfair twice so it is like nothing ever happened fro the 6 plus months that I was in my XXXX XXXX XXXX. That is my main complaint of why just because I was in the vehicle the money was paid for the time of use of a vehicle that wasn't in my opinion uo ti par for sale to the general public so both companies made that money without any repercussions for saying a vehicle that should have been sold to the vernal public to begin with. It is common sense to me to at least give that money back to put towards my new vehicle that I had gotten but we are passed that now and will not quit filing complaints until I get at least some of my money back I had paid into my other vehicle. I believe I should be entitled to because of my pain and frustration while dealing with my prior vehicle. I am being punished for owning a vehicle that shouldn't have been sold to the general public. Also I need some more answers. I am requesting the process from start to finish on how vehicles are sold from these companies because I believe there has been more mistakes made that helps convince my case. From getting approved online for a vehicle and when entering the dealership acquiring finance for set vehicle. Like I said XXXX is in charge of setting the interest rate to Bridgecrest so I need to know why they could up my interest rate fro things outside of my control. In my eyes it is like beating a dead horse. So I am under rate influence I can throw all that money at my prior vehicle which was unsafe for sale to the General public and not to be able to retain any of my money bth payment wise and lost time from taking off to get it into a repair shop. SO I would like a detail explanation of the process even how the Salesman that took care of my situation is paid with the sale of both vehicles. So I am led to believe that he made commission both times which would be unfair in my opinion. Both companies are making out without having to sacrifice anything like I have. So free money for 6 plus months and the ability to XXXX me over a higher interest rate and keep going on as business as usual. I cant get out of this vehicle because of how much I owe so I'm between a rock and a hard place. I'm at the point my credit isn't getting any better too not fast of my own so what if let these companies repo my vehicle because I'm at the point when is enough, enough? I have nothing to show for the past year of on time payments and instead of paying these companies and not getting anything I'd rather just take the hit that I'm already taking and be un burdened with having to pay a company that hasn't had my best interests in mind form the start. Im tired of arguing my points and paying into a system that is rigged to hurt people in my situation with horrible credit. Im not use with he interest level but jus the increase that was made because of no wrong doing on my part. One the life of the loan ( s ) the higher interest rate would amount to over {$600.00} in extra money because of the error made by both companies. I would have to check but If I was to go rob a back anything over {$500.00} would be a felony. That is what is happening to me. It is theft. So I would be held responsible these companies should be held responsible. I have copied this complaint and as you are getting this I have forward this to the Maryland Attorney General 's office as well as the Maryland State Police Automotive Safety Unit to investigate both companies in the Sate of Maryland because it is my belief I can't be the only one this has happened too. So I might not be able to have my original vehicle investigated but I believe I have enough evidence for the State to investigate any of there companies inspections of other vehicles to show that there is a pattern of wrongdoing and should have set companies be held responsible for saying sub par vehicles to the General Public.

Struggling to pay your loan

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a modification of terms. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received another one. In XXXX, I've worked extra hard to honor my agreement with Bridgecrest. I event went back to working a XXXX job as a teacher XX/XX/XXXX. Since XXXX began, here are the amounts paid for the year based upon clearing my bank account : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX At the end of XXXX, I inquired about another extension, as I could prove that I started the new job with a more consistent salary to help catch up, but I wouldnt receive my first paycheck until XX/XX/XXXX. Nevertheless, I worked my XXXX business and XXXX XXXX day and night to generate the income to make up the payments, as the collections rep was really nice about helping me. When I last paid Bridgecrest on XX/XX/XXXX {$460.00}, the rep asked me about the next payment. My response is and has always been " I make a payment by the end of the month '', which I've been doing since my finances became time in XXXX. I even paid extra. On XX/XX/XXXX, I receive a credit alert from XXXX XXXX saying " Improved Account BRIDGECREST FORMERLY XXXX XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX ''. Maybe that is what prevented me from proactively reaching out to Bridgecrest again, as Im thinking the extra payments are really working to catch me up. The two FULL payments in XXXX would remove 60 days of delinquency. However, after work yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, I'm on the phone with my fiance and hear '' are they getting the car ''? The repo man was here. I'm beyond shocked. I immediately call Bridgecrest. Why is the repo man there? " You put a XXXX on the account ''. " Yes I did, but I also asked you all to contact me by mail, since you disrupt my work environment by calling multiple times a day. My track record is that I will always pay the bill. You all could have also emailed me to let me know I was out for repossession. '' Sir, we sent you a letter. " When? I havent received it yet ''. We also sent a repo notice by email. " NO sir, you did not. The last email I received from Bridgecrest was XX/XX/XXXX thanking me for my payment. I periodically got emails from Bridgecrest, including XX/XX/XXXX for address verification, and one in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, but whenever I respond, Bridgecrest reps do not reply. However, I was never notified that I was in default of the contract and repossession was imminent. Bridgecrest reps also told me that there had been calls, but NO ONE left voicemails of any kind nor is there a record of the calls, which would be a violation of the XXXX. From previous deadlines, I know that Bridgecrest will charge off the account at 120 days. As of yesterday, I was 117 days and payment was scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX, as Bridgecrest knows I get paid at the end of the month. However, to submit it for repossession is absurd. Previously, I've crossed that deadline and Bridgecrest communicated with me to resolve the delinquency crisis. However, that has not happened this time.

Loan sold or transferred to another company
Complaint: We have a customer by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX who refinanced with us back in XXXX. We sent the Power of Attorney forms to Bridgecrest along with the payment of {$28000.00} for the XXXX XXXX XXXX he financed with us. Everything has been finalized and it has been now 3 months and Bridgecrest is trying to hold the title back from us and even tried to send us our money back after they already cashed it to force Mr. XXXX to stay with them to take the car back. This is not attainable for the simple fact that he has his loan tied into one of our client 's, Bridgecrest is now legally obligated to send us the title regardless of what matters they have with Mr. XXXX or contract. They have been sent payment for the car and once accepted even if they send us a check, that is on them to give us the title for the vehicle. The vehicle VIN is XXXX.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Auto debt

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: I bought a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX Bridgecrest on XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX Plus I also added three extra services because it was used, and I wanted to make sure it was covered in case of a breakdown, loss, damaged, or totaled. So I paid XXXX for Gap, and XXXX for motion Gps and, XXXX for XXXX XXXX coverage for maintance issues. will on XX/XX/XXXX I was in a auto accident, and the car was deemed a total loss. I was rushed to XXXX XXXX at XXXX in XXXX XXXX for a XXXX XXXX, and was in XXXX. I filed a claim, and the insurnace and, Bridegcreast agreed to a settlement amount of XXXX My insurance sent a check in XXXX and, another in XXXX. Gap also applied XXXX and, I had made payments in the amount of XXXX. I never did get a refund on my warrantys even after I canceled them acording to XXXX it was applied to my balance. The car was only XXXX dollars, I only had the car nine months. Bridgecrest charged off my account, even after they got over XXXX. That is odd because they got payments in XXXX XXXX XXXX. I spoke to XXXX from Bridgecrest on XX/XX/XXXX and, he told me that the account was paid and, that they report to the credit companys at the end of the month, and it would say paid. I am being charged interst on a car I only had for nine months. They basicly got almost the full contract as, if I had the car for the full 65 month term. This is wrong. This account should not be charged off as, they where getting payments from the insurance companys that I paid for those inruances to cover things like this. It should count as, payments that I made. the car was a XXXX car that I had for only nine months but yet Bridecrest got basicly XXXX and is still trying to claim I owe XXXX they reported it to my credit reports all three. so in fact they are trying to get the full interest for the full 65 months, and the prinpicle balance, when I should only be charged interest for the time I had the car which was only nine months, its a simple interest contract, and you got payments in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I should have only been 30 days late for XXXX. I also want to add that even after I signed the car over I still made payments to the lien holder. I was in XXXX XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX I told Bridgecrest this, but they did not care.

Debt was result of identity theft
Complaint: I found out that I was a victim of Fraud and someone falsely used my identity as a co-signer on a auto loan. I was not aware of this until XXXX XXXX had gave me a call. They stated that the person who stole my identity had gap insurance and that it would cover the debt. Managing the loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Billing problem
Complaint: I made 3 payments of {$420.00} each on the due dates for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. The website showed most of the payments each month went toward principal, however I called XXXX today because the dashboard was confusing - indicating my payment of {$100.00} was not due until XX/XX/XXXX ( skipping XX/XX/XXXX payment ). According to the Rep and Manager, their computer did not show any pay-down on principal. Rather, it showed only paid-ahead status and told me that I should've called to ask them to apply the over-payments in a specific way. In no way or form was it ever communicated to me that I needed to do this extra step ( and each month going forward! ). Also, it is extremely misleading to show a pay-down on principal only to be inaccurate when I called. A normal and reasonable consumer would think the website is accurate and continue making payments, which is what I did until today ( via AutoPay ). For example, my {$420.00} payment for XX/XX/XXXX showed {$300.00} to principal and {$110.00} to interest. The XX/XX/XXXX payment had {$310.00} to principal and {$100.00} to interest. The XX/XX/XXXX payment had {$310.00} to principal and {$100.00} to interest. The manager attempted to fudge the simple interest loan information and claim that I did not know what I was talking about and it did not matter whether I paid in XX/XX/XXXXor all now, the benefit would be the same. This is clearly not the case because if the remaining principal was lower in XX/XX/XXXX, I would've owed less interest for the XX/XX/XXXX payment, and so forth.

Complaint: I NEVER received any documentation from XXXX/Bridgecrest stating that the car was facing repossession. I made a payment on XX/XX/2017. When I woke up the morning of XX/XX/2017 the vehicle was gone. I have NOT received ANY documentation from XXXX/Bridgecrest about their plans to sell the car. I have NOT received ANY information that they have disposed of the vehicle. The ONLY communication/documents I received from XXXX/Bridgecrest was a redemption and reinstatement form back in XX/XX/2017 dated XX/XX/2017. Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: Good afternoon, I believe I have all of my issues correctly documented. Going forward since obviously can't beat a dead horse anymore I have come up on a year of dealing with these issues and wish for something in writing stating what XXXX/Bridgecrest has done for me in the past year after dealing with issues form my first vehicle being bought back to getting a higher interest rate on new vehicle because of no fault of my own other than buying a vehicle from XXXX that shouldn't have been sold to the general public to begin with. It has been too long for me too file a claim with Maryland State Police Automotive Safety Divison to have them investigate the Maryland State Inspector that passed my previous car. So what I'm to do. The settlement was taken off the table after I voiced my opinion on how horrible set companies were on dealing with my issues and making things right. I do apologize to a point but got to look at it from my side of things everything has been set up to cover the dealership and/or company which I cant complain about that is business but I have not gotten anything in return other than heartache trying to get things offered to me from both companies. Biggest waste of time was no one relying the information to me who was actually responsible for setting my new interest rate until it was too late. Also after being offered a reimbursement check for some things which I wasn't entitled too but tried to make me happy with my situation. It was delivered late in response so I would have to make a mother payment before I was to get set check before leaving to go out of town on business after giving both companies more than enough time get it to me before I left. That clear disregard caused me to question to keep fighting the issue and that was when I sent some nasty emails and correspondence at which time the settlement was taken off the table. Your companies hasn't done anything in my view to help me move rthis past year other than cover your XXXX. Part of the settlement would be to quit fighting these issues and would going forward not be able to bring anything up. Made all of my payments on time with a company that is suppose to help customers rebuild their credit. There simplest answer which is a escape goat was they have no control on how the credit bureaus report the info they give to them and I get that but at the time of signing for new vehicle it should have at least me given the same interest rate not higher. Worst business ethics ever in my opinion and would recommend anyone to use these companies and would rather looking back rely on public transportation than with these companies. Setting the high interest rate Im not upset with but to be backed into a corner to where I cant get out of this vehicle with out taking no hit at all is unacceptable. No one would take it as a trade in because of the terms of the loan. How can you as company do this? In writing what your company 's have plans to make me happy or at least a summary of what exactly has been done in my favor of the past year. Which is nothing in my opinion other than screwing my credit up and getting me into the situation that I cant get out of this vehicle without taking serious hits to me to my credit.

Struggling to pay your loan

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Complaint: My car was repossessed because I forgot to make the payments. I have XXXX in my brain and have been affected for about the last year only it has gotten worse the last 6 months or so. I called my son XXXX XXXX, who is an authorized person on my auto loan, to help me figure it out. I went to my bank and still had the money in the bank for the car payments. My sons and daughter helped me raise the remaining. My son paid {$1400.00} to get my car back on his credit card and I gave him the money I had. We were about to get the car back but the repo company named XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX would not allow me to pick it up and requested a third party ( my son ) for the car to be released to instead of me because of the altercation I had with the repo man when they picked my car up. That morning, while I was still sleeping, my wife woke me up and told me that someone was stealing my car so I got my handgun and proceeded outside to protect my property. Once I realized it was the repo man I put the gun away and was confused because I was convinced that I had made the payments. My son agreed to pick up the vehicle for me but the repo company and the bank made it very tedious for my son the pick up the vehicle after they'd told him that once the payment was made, it would take approximately 2 hours to get the car back. The next day after the payment was already made, my son went to the tow yard ( XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ), to retrieve my vehicle but was already stressed and agitated with both companies because he perceived them as taking advantage of me. When he encountered the men at the towing company, there was a verbal confrontation between my son and the managers. Words were exchanged, and a fight almost happened but my son left the property to cool down and came back to apologize to the company with the help of the Sheriff 's Department and he shook hands and made up with the repo company and they all forgave each other. The Sheriff 's were no longer needed and the repo company was then willing to release the vehicle to my son, but since they had already contacted the bank ( Bridgecrest ), the Bank told my son on the phone that they decided that based on the two emotional experiences, they would be keeping the car and refunding the {$1400.00}. My son then pleaded with the bank and also explained to them that this incident was caused by his own stress and that I was not at fault. My son lost his cool and that cost me my car? We already paid the money and my son agreed to help me set up automatic payments and to also pay off the car early so that I won't get behind again. I have been paying this car for 4 1/2 years and only have 1 year left. I need this car for my wife to drive me to and from my medical appointments as I am a XXXX senior citizen. Please help me to work something out with Bridgecrest as the confrontation was not my fault and my son has already admitted he was wrong and amends with the repo company and tow yard have already been made. I sincerely apologize for all of the stress this has caused. My other son and his wife who is a XXXX will be helping me to get home healthcare soon but I live in a semi remote location and do not have transportation. My wife and I also take care of XXXX young children. I do have a steady fixed income but do not know much about bank stuff. My son 's and daughters have now realized the severity of my medical problem in regards to my memory and are all kicking in to help me manage my bills. I did not fail to pay because of excessive spending but only because I believed I was paying the car. Please Help me to work with Bridgecrest. I asked Bridegecrest how much I have paid for the car in the last 4 1/2 years and the amount was close to {$27000.00} for a {$17000.00} vehicle. My son spoke with Bridgecrest and even offered to pay off my vehicle in full but bridgecrest declined. I now believe that since Bridgecrest has already made so much money off of me, that it is more financially beneficial for them to keep and sell the car to a second person at 21 % interest. I have the means and can meet any requirement of me for the car to be returned to me. As it turns out, my son has a friend that works at the tow yard who wishes to remain anonymous, and he states that a member of management offered to buy the car from Bridgecrest for a reduced price, for one of their family members and that's why Bridgcrest is declining to give me my car back. I do understand that I was 4 months behind when the car was repossessed but I have paid back 3 of those payments and am willing to be put on automatic payments, a vehicle immobilizer, and/or to pay the car loan off in full. The original company that I dealt with was XXXX XXXX and as now called Bridgecrest. Yes I got behind, and yes my credit isn't great but I did not know how to check my credit until my son, who works for the Federal Government, discovered fraud on my credit report that will be disputed and removed from my credit report. Please Help me as I do not want to lose {$27000.00} for a car that will be paid off soon as a punishment for my son 's behavior. Please excuse him as well as he is a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX veteran and is dealing with a great deal of stress and is being treated for XXXX.
