Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Complaint: My problem is with Bridgecrest formerly known as XXXX. When I purchased the car I did not know of the problems the vehicle had such as rusting due to bad weather in a previous state and it was not disclosed to me. Second issue and most important was I was a victim of Hurricane Harvey is XXXX and I lost everything, I relocated back to XXXX and the car was with me. Because of the natural Disaster in XX/XX/XXXX, I feel behind on payments, I contacted them for an extension and it was granted. When I call back for the paper work I was told by a rep none of that was notated, not even my call is what I was told, also I updated a telephone number where I could be reached and a mailing address where I resided until I got back on my feet.. ( how unprofessional ). Here is the BIGGEST issue ... 1. ) Around XX/XX/XXXX the car was repossessed in the state of XXXX. The XXXX states " Youre entitled to notice of the repossession under XXXX law, and the statutory requirements for this are pretty specific, The notice must include a statement in no less than 12-point type that the lender is entitled take your vehicle without further notice or judicial process '' I did not receive a notice or any paper work. When they took the car I did not know where it was and I was not notified in anyway. SECOND BIGGEST ISSUE ... -I was notified my mail, phone, email, ANYTHING of what the intentions was with the car. The state of XXXX States - '' Required Notifications : Before your lender can sale your truck, they MUST notify you of their intentions. You can waive this right, so make sure you dont sign anything the lender gives you until you consult with your lawyer. See XXXX Business & Commercial Code Sect. 9.611 '' The State of XXXX states also that they " Must send you a Notice of Sale first, and a Notice of Disposition after the sale if it wants to hold you responsible for any deficiency balance '' I did not receive anything and they did not have my currently mailing address because they did not save it in the system ... My email and phone number was on file. Once again I did not receive anything. That is AGAINST the law to not inform me of the intentions with the car. In XXXX it states " Content of Notice : The notice must list your name and the collateral that the lender intends to sell. It must state how much money it would take to REDEEM or reinstate the loan. It must provide a telephone number to call to redeem the loan. It must state how they plan to dispose of the truck and tell you that you are entitled to an accountable of any debt remaining after the sale. The lender must tell you the time and place of the auction ( or other manner of sale ). Its pretty easy for lenders to follow this rule the form is listed in the statute. See XXXX Business & Commercial Code Sect. 9.613 and XXXX Business & Commercial Code Sect. 9.614. How could I try to redeem my vehicle without the information provided to me.. or what was done with the car. On my credit report it states I owe XXXX. How can you just place something on someone's report and I know nothing of what was even done with the car, was it sold, did they keep it, was it involved in a auction? My problem is that they did not go about this the correct way and placing information on my credit report with stuff I know nothing about. They went about this all the way WRONG. This company prays on people and they are such scammers. Very unprofessional.

Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Complaint: I am so hurt and disgusted by XXXX/Bridgecrest. I was 28 days past due on my car loan payment and I intended to make a payment before the 30 days past due mark. I called in on the XX/XX/XXXX to make a payment but my phone call was interrupted by an incident in my home. The XX/XX/XXXX is when I became a victim of XXXX XXXX. I was XXXX and had to run from my home. I called in a few days later to make a payment and when I did, the representative said that there would not be a penalty other than a late fee but there would not be a late payment reported on my credit report due to this circumstance. A week later, I checked my credit report and a late payment was added to my account after I was already told that I wouldn't be penalized. I called in and asked why this happened and the 2nd representative told me that the 1st rep meant something different. The 1st rep was very clear in saying that if a payment was made the day that I made it, there would be no reporting of late payments to my credit report. The 2nd representative said that was a lie and refused to forward me to a manager. I FEEL LIKE I AM BEING PUNISHED FOR BEING A VICTIM OF XXXX XXXX. I also contacted them by way of email, explaining the situation and hoping I would get a call back and I didn't. I even offered to send the copy of my police report to them to show that it was not a made up story and they handled me terribly. Now this is hurting my credit and has severely lowered my score. I can not get an apartment or anywhere to stay due to my credit score dropping and it's affecting both me and my XXXX year old child who is also a victim in this situation.

High-pressure sales tactics
Complaint: I bought a XX/XX/2012 XXXX XXXX from XXXX and it turns out that it was a lemon. The transmission is slipping and my car shudders. The more I look into the issue the more it seems like XXXX should have told me that this would be an issue. Also I am being charged >24 % interest on the vehicle, is that legal? I purchased the car alone and I feel like I was taken advantage of.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX My husband ( XXXX XXXX, SSN XXXX ) and I traded in for payoff, a XXXX XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The XXXX was financed in XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX ( fka XXXX ). XXXX and I left the XXXX at the XXXX dealership and took possession of a XXXX XXXX XXXX We were of the expectation that within 10 days Bridgecrest would be paid in full for the XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, we saw a 30-day late on our XXXX Credit report. We disputed it several times online to no avail. The most recent dispute is attached. This was filed after I personally spoke to Bridgecrest and XXXX and Bridgecrest stated they were not going to change the report. XXXX suggested that I get more supporting documents, which I attached to prove that we were not at fault for the 30-day late. The General manager at the XXXX dealership also drafted a letter stating the same and detailed the turn of events that resulted in the late payoff to Bridgecrest.

Problem with fees charged
Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXXwe purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from a company called XXXX. We had auto draft payments every 2 weeks. At one point we made a early payment and it automatically canceled out the auto payment for that week. Everything was going fine with the payments until the XX/XX/XXXX payment was due, first the loan was transferred to a company called Bridgecrest. I made another early payment on XX/XX/XXXX, and thought nothing about the auto draft payment stopping, because it had always dropped in the past. But for some reason the auto pay did not drop and I was charged twice, this was devastating to our checking account, because a domino affect happened where everything that tried to clear was charged an overdraft fee, we have payed around {$600.00} in service fees. We called Bridgecrest to talk to them about why they had taken an extra payment, and told them about the service fees. At first Bridgecrest denied any wrong doing. So I reached out to our prepaid legal services to see if they could help us, The lawyer was able to get the extra payment refunded back to us, but Bridgecrest still refuses to take responsibility for the service fees, our attorney has advised us to write this letter to you since there is nothing more they can do for us without spending money to go to court which we don't have. We have been living in the negative in our bank account since this has happened, been unable to pay bills, even our van could be repossessed if we don.t come up with another {$670.00} by the middle of XX/XX/XXXX, plus pay my cousin back {$660.00} by the XX/XX/XXXX as he helped stop total repossession of our van.

Billing problem
Complaint: OnXX/XX/XXXX my vehicle was repossessed for being past due. I contacted Bridgecrest to get details about how much was needed to FULLY REINSTATE the account to get my vehicle back. I first spoke with XXXX ( XXXX ) who said my vehicle was 81 days past due. I asked for more details about this and she transferred me to XXXX ( XXXX ) who explained I was due for {$770.00} for the account, {$300.00} for the repossession fee, and {$95.00} for the late fees ; Total = {$1100.00}. I advised I'd call back to pay. I called back that day and couldn't reach XXXX so I spoke with XXXX ( didn't get ID ). However, XXXX reassured me that what I was paying would bring the account due for XX/XX/XXXX for {$42.00}. I paid her {$1100.00} plus the processing fee for two payments because their system didn't allow the amount in one full payment. I told XXXX I would call back the next day and pay the {$42.00} for the XX/XX/XXXXpayment. I picked up my vehicle the next day but did not contact Bridgecrest again until Friday XX/XX/XXXX. At that time I spoke with XXXX who advised me, my loan was due for {$75.00} toward theXX/XX/XXXX payment. I disputed that verbally on the call and she apologized for the misinformation, reassuring me that it was {$75.00} to bring the account current. I asked her again was sure that my next due date would beXX/XX/XXXX. She said yes ( several times throughout the call ). I advised her at that time that I wasn't sure if i'd be able to pay the next payment until XX/XX/XXXX because of how I just paid them and my rent was due. She said to work something out because that would be too long without a payment. I advised I'll see what I can do. Thankfully, because of how my pay checks are falling I was able to pay 2-biweekly payments totalling {$430.00} with this weeks paycheck. When I called to pay I spoke with a representative ( didn't think needed to get ID ) who advised my account was 47 days past due 800 some odd dollars. I asked how so, and explained the same information explained as mentioned above. She transferred me to XXXX ( XXXX ) who apologized for me getting the wrong info. I disputed this again because at this point every time I call I'm getting apologized to for getting the wrong information. Therefore XXXX transferred me to XXXX ( Triplet - manager ). He tried t explain the payment breakdown and I advised him that I was told what I paid would bring my account current forXX/XX/XXXX payment and no fees. He tried his best to handle the situation by advising he would escalate the issue for review. Prior to all this I've had to request a representative no longer call me for being harassing on the line and her manager was the worst. Prior to that I've had to address Bridgecrest calling my cell phone 2 times in one minute. Prior to that I've had to ask for less calls because of excessive calling. Now I understand if I'm past due to call but there is a fine line when the calls become overbearing ( more than 2 calls per day - 1 in morning and 1 evening ). Because of the excessive calling I asked bridgecrest not to call my cell. No contact caused me to get the car repossessed prior to the most recent time. Therefore I advised it's okay to call. That's when I experienced the horrible service of that rep and her manager. I asked to be transferred to a different rep and for that rep to no longer contact me. ( she called 2 days in a row at this point ). XXXX ( XXXX ) advised the horrible rep was the one that put the cease and desist back on the account and it was her and her horrible manager who put my car up for repossession. That made me very uneasy, feeling personally attacked. As far as my loan is concerned : i've learned my interest rate is predatory and with all the payments i've paid so far i've paid for the sale price plus more at this point. My problems : 1. misinformation every time call 2. excessive calls 3. horrible customer service My Wishes : 1. account brought current as I was told it would be 2. limited phone calls ( 1/day only if I'm 30+ days past due ) 3. Loan reviewed for write off/paid in full

Billing problem
Complaint: There are a couple of issues with this loan : 1. The car is a lemon. They sold this car to me XX/XX/XXXX for over $ 14k. Trade in value for this vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX is $ XXXX. I have tried to trade this vehicle in and even refinance it to get a lower interest rate several times and it is impossible to get anyone to even look at it. I still owe almost $ 12k on this vehicle over 3 years after purchasing this car. 2. I do not believe that payments are properly being applied to interest and principal. I do not see where my down payment was even applied to principal when I first took out the car in XX/XX/XXXX. This payment was reversed out of their system and it appears that I was paying monthly payments as a down payment in XX/XX/XXXX. 3. I got behind on making payments in XX/XX/XXXX and had asked several times that Bridgecrest assist me with getting caught up. I was unemployed from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX and then got a full-time job at the end in XX/XX/XXXX. I asked for their assistance with a forbearance or something that would keep me caught up and they refused to help until finally a call to a rep in XX/XX/XXXX got me caught back up and paying on schedule. I was still making payments throughout XX/XX/XXXX. They reported me late to the credit bureau 6 times in XX/XX/XXXX and I do not believe they should have if forbearance options were available the whole time.

Struggling to pay your loan

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Loan balance remaining after the vehicle is repossessed and sold
Complaint: I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and begin monthly payments of {$480.00} on XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX timely with no late payments. I had financial difficulties and had trouble making the payment. On XX/XX/XXXX my husband had a car accident in the vehicle ( to no fault of his own ) but it took three months for the repairs to complete and caused additional financial strain because car rental costs that exceeded the coverage had to be paid. The vehicle was released from the auto body shop and two days later XX/XX/XXXX the vehicle was repossessed for having past due payments of {$1700.00}. On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX the {$1700.00} was paid in full by my mother in law via checking & routing but Bridgecrest will not release the vehicle. Instead, they are holding it for an additional 14 days in order to collect more fees and transfer the vehicle to the state of Nevada and charge me transportation costs, repo fees and redemption fee for the auction place in Nevada. My mother in law confirmed with the bank that monies have been deducted from her account yet Bridgecrest will not honor this transaction. My other issue is that Bridgecrest will not confirm any cost in writing, I spoke to XXXX once, XXXX once and XXXX twice whom all said that if I pay {$1500.00} I can receive my vehicle and work out an arrangement for any additional costs, instead I received a Notice of Intent ( NOI ) letter that request {$2800.00}. Over the phone I'm being told that the NOI is standard and those fees aren't guaranteed either and to accept their verbal agreement but since the past due was paid via checking & routing instead of debit/credit I'm being penalized. I need for this vehicle to be released immediately because all of the past due is current and I have a new payment coming up next week. This is a great cheat and the finance charges are extremely high and overwhelming. I want to add that I also have a second loan with the company with a perfect payment history but it doesn't matter to them, all they want is to make people with credit challenges worse when they have a hiccup in payments.

Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Complaint: I have tried to resolve the issue of the payment posting date with Bridgecrest. They were paid prior to the posting date and have documents to show. They reported my payment 30 days late to the credit bureaus. I called numerous times and all they send me is a letter to show the debt is paid in full. They are not helpful what so ever. I still receive call to get people to come purchase cars. I reached out to their social media no resolution. it made my score drop considerably. I wrote a letter to explain how I have made on time payments and to please reconsider and still nothing. I see numerous complaints from the company and this is the very reason why I saved to get a better vehicle and a company that actually will try to listen. I see this is a common practice with them. I tried disputing with the credit bureaus but all they did was update the paid in full date the same as the delinquent date which makes no sense. They just updated comments and didn't bother to further investigate.
