Complaint: I just recently got the auto title loan due to rising medical bills. I was in this hospital for over 2 months, I 'm in XXXX, XXXX XXXX and have medical appts and tests that may XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX due to being 7 days late on paying the payment. While at the grocery store with my son ( XXXX XXXX2017 ) we walked out and my car was gone. They simply told me oh I 'm sorry you should of called us but now you have to pay this fee and that fee which total to almost {$2000.00}. I told them its kind of hard to call when your in XXXX and cant talk because you have XXXX coming out your neck. They had 3 wrong numbers listed as my number when a gentleman called me on my cell confirming payment for the month prior. Thenthe following day they called me again to find out my payment status and I told them once again that I have my medical devices, medical papers and my social security forms in my car and my son and i walked home ( 4miles ) crying with groceries in our hands and it was 32 degrees outside the male told me well you can pay the repossession company to get your belongings back and the letter of intentions was already mailed out to you so are you going to pay the amount due which doubled over night. Im on a fixed income and now do n't have transportation period. But I will get my car back and will make sure these rude, uncaring and hostile employees keep getting in trouble for their deception ways

Complaint: Westlake Financial is charging me more than 17.99 % on a used car loan. The interest rate of 17.99 % is already to much that they charge daily. My note is XXXX a month that started last XXXX. I started by paying XXXX a month to pay it off quickly but starting the first payment they took nearly 300 in interest, and it increased. I stopped paying that amount and started paying less and they took more of that for interest. It 's to high of interest vs. Legal limit in my state of Louisiana and their 's in California. I have paid a total of just over 4010.00 on a XXXX loan and my off as of today is XXXX. That is more than unfair. It is usury, not to mention pathetic.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX Westlake financial received a payment and then showed up to repossess our vehicle after the payment was made. I was told that they would be taking care of the repossession and fees. Later, they put a rendered repo on my credit. I called the company for a year and finally talked to their head of legal. He informed me it would be taken care of. I then received an email stating that they would be removing the repo from mine and my husbands credit and it would be complete by XX/XX/XXXX. It still remains. I have sent multiple letters, called the company MANY times, sent letters to the credit bureaus and called the credit bureaus and still nothing has been done.

I REMEMBER GOING TO SCHOOL AND TRYING TO APPLY FOR LOANS AND THEY KEPT ASKING ME ABOUT THIS COLLECTION ACCOUNT THAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF! I HAVE REACHED OUT TO XXXX XXXX ABOUT IT AND THEY HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING TO ASSIST. I HAVE EVEN ASKED THEM FOR THE CONTRACT AND IN THE CONTRACT THEY ARE MISSING NAMES. YOU COULD ONLY SEE THE FIRST 4 LETTERS OF MY FIRST NAME AND THE REST OF INFO IS MISSING. I TOLD THEM I NEEDED A VALID VISIBLE CONTRACT SO I CAN REPORT THEM AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE ME WITH ONE. Complaint: A payment for XXXX that the Westlake Financial commando took from my account on XXXX XXXX, 2017, has not been accredited, I have written emails, without receiving any response to my request to credit the missing money, I have called and they just tell me that in the next week they will credit it and nothing happens, I do not receive an answer, 6 months ago, and they charge me excessive interest charges, it is not the first time and two more payments have not been accepted, but those were solved, but This payment is pending. My initial credit was {$18000.00}, I paid {$8900.00} in one year and only {$4000.00} has been credited to my account. I think it 's an abuse on the part of this financier. Complaint: Subject : Regarding fraudulent account from Westlake financial services, XXXX XXXX, CA Dear CFPB, I am victim of identity theft. Someone got car loan with my details from Westlake financial services. I sent all my documents such as SSN card, police report, drivers license and latest utility bill, FTC complaint, ID theft affidavit to Westlake financial services to prove that I did not buy any car in last 2 years, and so did not get any car loan from any financial institution. I sent all documents on XXXX of XXXX and disputed the account. Since then I kept calling them to know the status. I might have called more than 100 times since I first I disputed the fraudulent account and each call last for 20 min to half hour on an average. They really killing my valuable time. Whenever I call them, they say it is still under investigation and not resolving the issue. Interesting thing is, car was bought on different address and they gave loan without proper verification. I have decided to bring this issue to your notice because Westlake is not at all working to resolve the issue. Can you please work with Westlake financial services and try to resolve the issue. I really appreciate your help in this regarding.

XX/XX/XXXX- letter received from west lake financial thanking me for being a customer and states that they realesed of interest document to appropriate party. Stapled is original retail installment sale contract. Stamped paid. XXXX-received statement reporting total amount due. XXXX due date : XX/XX/XXXX Everything is great, credit, bank, west lake financial, until ... XXXX receive statement with payoff balance @ {$550.00}!! Called company multiple times and Received attitude from collections and customer service and refused to settle or come to an agreement. And demanded their money and all of it. I have disputed with another credit company and they ruled in my favor and reverted my credit score back to where it was before my issue with this company.

Complaint: Westlake financial services cancel my loan for a used car on XXXX XXXX XXXX because the dealership that i went through submitted a secondary loan contract with my signature unknowing to me. When XXXX from the Westlake verifications department called me on XXXX XXXX, I told her I did not send a second loan contract in. The next few days after I received the Adverse action notice from Westlake, which i have uploaded with my complain. My concern is that i did n't commit any fraud and my loan was denied because of the dealership actions, that Westlake knew before they sent out the adverse action notice. And i 'm also really concerned that they said I was denied because of Credit. This has cost me money to retain a lawyer at Westlake 's request, to obtain any paperwork between Westlake and the dealership from them, but they told my attorney I was not a customer and i needed a subpoena to have those documents sent over. So I filed a complaint with The XXXX. Of XXXX Services, and Westlake then turned over my paperwork without that subpoena they requested prior. The time in which the loan was canceled/denied, was only 14 days after purchase date. The most significant time frame for expirations on loan are 30 days. The loan had already gotten to the verification Department twice in two weeks. Credit was not a reason for the denial. How can this be the reason in your Adverse action Notice sent out? This is not acceptable to me and it should not be acceptable with CFPB.

Complaint: I have made to XXXX finance this year! The only payments not attached is XX/XX/XXXX which was paid via money gram. XXXX HAS VERIFIED THAT THEY HAVE THAT PAYMENT. This company will constantly accuse you of not paying so KEEP ALL OF YOUR STATEMENTS AND RECEIPTS they gave me an extension which waived my payments for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. but then said i never had an extension and never paid. Again i kept my proof their rep XXXX who is suppose to be a supervisor the most unprofessional supervisor i ever came across her and XXXX. told me that my payments that I'm assuming are missing went towards XX/XX/XXXX payment. XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX were waived. I'm passed frustrated at this point I'm feeling as though my money was stolen. Ive been accused of not making any payments. This vehicle has been nothing but a headache. There has been nothing but repairs needed for this vehicle. The dealer intentionally sold me a vehicle that was not state inspected that they knew needed repairs as the result there is a pending law suit. XXXX accused me of lying about that. I submitted documentation from the courts regarding the law suit. I have submitted documentation from the motor vehicle administration which outlined that she did not have any inspection documentation. I have done everything that i am suppose to do regarding this vehicle.Ive given them everything. Yet today XX/XX/XXXX XXXX told me that i still had to pay what i paid over I have risked losing my home, I have risk going into default with bills, so that this vehicle could be repaired and paid for. Yet I have received nothing but disrespect from your representatives. I am finally fed up and frustrated I have submitted a complaint and submitted all documentation to the Better Business Bureau, the federal Trade commission as well as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It is inexcusable that anyone paying over {$450.00} a month should have to do contact repairs on their vehicle. The average consumer who is dealing with claims of missing payments and constant vehicle repairs would just absolutely stop paying. I did the opposite I continued to not only pay the car note but tried my best to complete the repairs no matter how at risk it put me. I will contact the attorney who is assisting myself as well as others in the lawsuit against XXXX ( the dealer in which i purchased the vehicle ) to see if she can give me information on how I can legally get out of this vehicle based off the lawsuit against XXXX and the motor vehicle administration stating that XXXX did not have proper documentation to sell the car. The only payment i owe is XX/XX/XXXX therefore that will be the only payment i will make. XXXX can financial has not reported the vehicle to credit bureaus. Only one shows the account. I have made a total of 12 payments on this account yet my balance only reflects 2 payments. XXXX XXXX has stated that they have notreceived payments and reported late payments to the one credit agency they report to t which has dropped my score. Im sick of it. I have my bank statement showing proof yet they keep reqesting me to pay the notes over. This is a crooked company

Complaint: Per my XXXX credit report last checked on XX/XX/XXXX Confirmation # : XXXX there is an account that should not be on my credit report. I have tried 5 times in XX/XX/XXXX to remove a XXXX XXXX XXXX account from my credit as inaccurate information is being reported. I have found a major discrepancy and I have tried many times to correct the issue directly with XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX as well but have gotten no where with the issue. The date of first delinquency on this account is incorrect. Back in XX/XX/XXXX the car that I had financed at the time through XXXX XXXX XXXX was repossessed. For some reason they are reporting to XXXX that the date of first delinquency was on XX/XX/XXXX. It is impossible for a car to be repossessed by the bank if the consumer is not past due therefore the date of first delinquency is incorrect. The other inaccuracy I found was that the 81 Month Payment Chart does n't even match the date of first delinquency. For the 81 months shown on the payment chart it is full of NR ( Not Reported ) or CO ( Charge Off ). On the 81 Month Payment chart on XX/XX/XXXX which is the supposedly date of first delinquency Westlake Service reported NR ( Not Reported ). If I were delinquent on that date the 81 Month Payment chart should reflect a 30,60,90,120 etc showing some sort of proof that I was late. The information that they are reporting within itself does n't match. Let alone it is the incorrect date. If the account would be reported correctly with the correct date of first delinquency being XX/XX/XXXX when the car financed was repossessed the 7 years from that date would of been in XX/XX/XXXX meaning that this item would no longer even be on my credit report. Please review the details of this account carefully as you will find exactly what I am referring to and see that this account should be removed from my XXXX report. I have made several attempts in the past few months to contact Westlake Services and the lawyer they hired to hand my case on their behalf and have not had any resolution from them. The lawyer that they had hired to handle my file was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX located in XXXX, FL. That lawyer is no longer in business so I have no one to contact on their end. Everytime I call Westlake directly I try and speak with them but they say that they can not talk to me and someone from their special handling department will contact never does. Do not understand how I can communicate with them to have this issue resolved if there is no point of contact on their end. One last thing I would like to add is that XXXX and XXXX removed this account on their own as they had the correct information being reported at the time and automatically removed the account at the 7 years from the date of first delinquency. XXXX is the only bureau with the problem.
