Complaint: My husband and I have only been with Westlake Financial services for a short time now but the problems we have encountered are beyond belief. My husband and I are military and due to this we both have POA 's over each other. I have sent in the requested POA 4 times and they can never understand how to read it or how to notate it in their system, it was supposedly approved by 2 managers ( XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX ) yet they also failed to notate it in the system. My husband also sent in two letters authorizing me on the account that Westlake said would help them yet every time we call there are no notes in the system under our account. Me and my husband decided that due to the numerous problems we encountered we would refinance through a different bank and therefore received a pay off check that we promptly sent Westlake in the mail. We put a tracking number on it as well as requested that the company had to sign for it in order to receive it so that we could see exactly when they received it from our side ( due to lack of ability to be honest with us in the first place and lack of ability to notate when things are properly received ). They received the check on the XX/XX/XXXX and when I requested to know when it would be posted Westlake stated that it would post in 24-48 hrs. Soon I called back because it did not post in the time stated I was than told by a different representative that it would take 3-4 days instead. I than asked to speak with a manager in which I was informed that the manager was unavailable. I asked for a callback and never received one so I than sent in an email and never heard a response there either. I than called back because 4 days had passed and no check was posted. I than was finally transferred to another supervisor that I had not spoken to before. This individual ( XXXX XXXX ) had assured me that the check would post by today or tomorrow ( Thursday or Friday at the time ). I than waited over the weekend until Tuesday in which no check had been posted STILL!!! I called back and was transferred around numerous times with still no answer! I was than hung up on twice in the process. This is a full pay off check and the way this company handles business and client relations is horrible! I have documented every conversation with this company, when I have called, why I have called, Who I spoke with every time! I am in need of answers and am not pleased with the lack of professionalism!

Complaint: At the end of my loan ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I made my final payment and thought everything was done and over with. Then I see on my credit report 4 months later that my account wasnt listed as paid in full but listed as a charge off for {$40.00}. Resulting in my credit score tanking by 115 points. I called Westlake financial XX/XX/XXXX to find out what was going on and they said that they texted me in XX/XX/XXXX that there was a balance due. And that its my fault the account was charged off because I ignored the text message. My auto loan was for {$10000.00} and I paid 24 % interest for 4 years never missing a payment, and always on time. And now there is nothing I can do about my account being listed as a charge off for {$40.00}.

Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: I started my contract with Westlake FinancialXX/XX/XXXX. The opening balance was {$20000.00} with an annual APR 23.99 % and a loan term of 72 months. I have a simple interest loan with interest incurred daily at a rate of {$12.00}. On XX/XX/XXXXI requested the payment due ( {$530.00} ) be deferred. I confirmed with XXXX XXXX that my payment would n't change and was told it would create a balloon payment with interest at the end of the loan. I confirmed that it was okay. Upon my request a document was sent to my email for me to electronically sign. In the document it says " You understand and acknowledge that the referenced extension shall result in additional interest being assessed on you account. Therefore, at the end of your scheduled term, there will be a balloon payment. '' I continued to make regularly scheduled payments XXXX XXXX. With a then balance of {$19000.00}, this balance remained from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX with a total interest of {$4800.00} being paid. I spoke with a customer service individual XXXX XXXX, XXXX who confirmed that my monthly amount applied towards interest is {$370.00} and {$160.00} towards principle. After careful review of the payments and charges on my account I have found that there has been several payments that I made that were only applied to the interest. I have paid a total of {$8600.00} just in interest. You will see in the attached documents that I have gone several months with an unchanging balance amount. My current balance {$19000.00} has remained the same since XXXX XXXX. The conversation on XXXX XXXX, XXXX with XXXX XXXX discussed the details of a deferred payment. I was told that the principle amount was the only payment that was coming from the balloon payment at the end of the contract. Interest is added from the last time you pay until the next time you pay when you defer the payment. For example, I deferred my payment XXXX XXXX, interested accrued at {$12.00} per day from XXXX XXXX until XXXX XXXX when I made my next payment. I am very confused because I feel as though I am not getting anywhere. Refinancing is not an option with this financial institution nor with any other because my car is worth less than owe.

Complaint: I have an auto loan with Westlake Financial. This a loan that was transferred to Westlake from XXXX. At any rate, I felt forced to cut off any verbal communication with them in XXXX of 2017 to where I changed my cell phone number. My payments are due on the XXXX of each month and if the XXXX comes in with no payment yet they would robocall my phone 3+ times a day from several different phone numbers. One time I had even called to give them a double payment after being over 30 days late and was greeted by a very nasty agent threatening to take my car if it were even seen in a grocery store parking lot ... all the while calling them at the time to give them two payments and have the account up to date. I am rarely as much as 30 days late. I have been trying to make my payment online as I typically do. I 'm assuming they are mad they do n't have a phone number to robocall me at so they have made it so I can no longer make my payment online ; which I 've been doing since I changed my phone number. I click to make the payment, fill in everything and get a message telling me the payment date must be between the date I 've selected ( which is the current date ) and the previous day. If I drop down the calendar to try and make a different date selection the calendar is grayed out and not allowing me the ability to select any dates. I have screenshots of all of this. It occurs despite the total amount I put in as well. In the morning I will use someone else 's phone and block their number, so they do n't get robocalls, before calling Westlake to make the payment but can this be fixed? This is really unfair to those of us making honest attempts at paying our bills and being prohibited because we do n't want to call to end up getting harassed by the agent on the other end of the phone or having our numbers added to their robocall list.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2016 I was approved for a loan through Westlake Financial and purchased a car with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for a total amount of {$4500.00}. Thirty days after my purchase I was expecting my Title. After calling multiple times, and I was told by XXXX XXXX XXXX that he was trying to locate the title. I was given a letter stating the vehicle I had purchased, " has been delayed due to no fault of her own ''. In which the DMV accepted the letter but my registration was only good for 30 days. At one point he called and told me the woman who owned the car was bringing the Title to sign it over. I called and called but my calls were not answered. I have called Westlake Financial multiple times. Im always told that someone will be returning my call. Im still waiting months later. I have had this car sitting in my yard for months that I can not drive due to me not having the proper registration. I would like to have this settled. I have been contacting the finance company they are also giving me the run around. Everyone has been paid in full for a car that I can not drive due to a car that I do not own without the Title.

Complaint: I have had an auto loan with Westlake Financial since I purchased my vehicle from XXXX back in XX/XX/XXXX. I finding out now a lot of things that was not told to me before and also that I do not recognize in my contract. When speaking to a rep about it he could n't give me the page in my contract where it was listed, but instead asked me to send him a copy of the contract because he do n't have one and that XXXX was supposed to verbally inform me of these things. This company has placed so many extra fees and charges on me out of nowhere and for everything making it impossible to pay my principle balance down. I paid a {$4700.00} down payment and was also told by an employee that I have paid close to if not over 10,00 dollars additional to that and only about {$1500.00} of that has went towards my principal balance. My principal has even went up. I was told that the only way I can bring my principal down is to pay extra or earlier. There is no way that I can do that being that I am a single mother of XXXX and have other bills as well. I was recently informed that there is a {$7.00} charge per day and an additional XXXX every day that I am late. I was also recently informed that because of me changing my due date in the second month of my term from the XXXX of every month to the XXXX after being offered it to make my payments " more convenient for me '', that I am being charged interest as well for that ten day gap each month. This company will offer you an " extension to help you get caught up '' but will not tell you that the extension builds of interest as well. For an example I was involved in what was considered a national disaster, Hurricane XXXX. They told me that they were offering customers a two month extension because of the crisis, but did n't mention that everyday in between that time and my next payment that I would be charge interest. My pay off date was supposed to be in XX/XX/XXXX, but I just found out the other day that it has been changed to XX/XX/XXXX. My vehicle was repossessed after talking to representatives and informing them on Tuesday that my payment was going to be paid on Friday. Friday when I woke up my car was gone. This was on XX/XX/XXXX. I got my car back on the XXXX. Ii was told prior to getting my car back that I had to make my past due payment and the new one that had just came, plus the repossession fee. I made three payments which would have caught me up completely and made XXXX payment as well. I also paid the repo fee. Now looking at a complete payment history that was sent to me it was stated that the repo fee was {$570.00} and they will not explain to me what costed {$570.00} after I was told that it was {$300.00}. They charged me for that and out of three payments of XXXX, only {$600.00} went towards my principle. They reported to the credit bureau that Ii failed to pay 3 months including that XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/XXXXwhich is not correct, as well as other times, causing harm to my credit, but will not update it. Ii have tried to make payment the following week or even pay at least half and the other half next week, but they will not allow it and would say it has to be paid today or make remarks about putting my car up for repossession. Not only this, I have also received harassing phone calls at inappropriate times and back to back while at work and in church. Westlake has also called people that I did n't authorize them to call or numbers that Ii called them from giving out info that should not be disclosed to these people. I called and asked them about giving the car back and they said that If i would they would put it on my credit report as a repo and if they ca n't auction it for the pay off of XXXX that I would be responsible for what is remaining. I 've become completely devastated and want to get out of the loan with this company. I see after investigating that I am not the only person having issues with Westlake. If I do n't i will be paying over 40,000 dollars for a XXXX. Please Help.

Compliance Specialist, stated XXXX XXXX provided documents for a repossession on account number XXXX. However, if she reviews the account data she will notice the information is incorrect. The address listed on the notice is incorrect. The address was XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TX XXXX. XXXX XXXX was fully aware of the correct address. They can reference the correct address by reviewing account number XXXX. In addition, representative XXXX XXXX (possibly misspelled) was contacted on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX CST @ XXXX ext XXXX and was provided with the address details. In addition, XXXX would have supplied a change of address as one was on file since XX/XX/XXXX. Any notices sent from XXXX XXXX would have received a return change of address. Again, XXXX XXXX at the correct information for their files. The documentation within itself contradicts what XXXX XXXX notes in her letter. It is not my responsibility as a consumer to advise a data furnisher or credit bureau what is reporting incorrectly. Related to account number XXXX, the information provide contradicts the documentation provided as well as what is being reported.

Every time I am late making my loan payment they harass me by calling my work and cell phone number repeatedly. Then when I do speak to them, they are very hateful. What are my options?
