Complaint: Sadly there was a returned payment on XX/XX/XXXX to my load provider West Lake Financial. I was not notified via mail or phone. I was out of town working in MD. XX/XX/XXXX I come back and have a knock at our door at XXXX. A repo guy. He had the car hooked up. He asked for the keys and I emptied my car. In 2 hours we paid XXXX via XXXX as no other payment was good. We were told you couldn't pay on the spot. ( If I knew we had an issue before hand the cash was in the bank. ) So I called Westlake Financial to give them the XXXX confirmation number. Well, I was told I have to wait 24 to 48 business hours. I was told they only made 1 call to notify me and that they admitted they didn't leave a message. I was told that it was my problem and not theirs. I then called back later to ask if we could avoid having this on my credit report. The guy on this call was very rude and mocked me over the phone. He told me that should know how to pay my bills and that it was my fault and to deal with it as I was going to have that on my record and nobody will remove it. I have issues getting people on the phone to discuss these matters and I was told they do not allow customer to talk with the collections department that decides what is going on. In addition to paying the XXXX which included the processing fees, repo fees I logged into my West Lake Account and found they are trying to charge me another {$350.00} that was already paid. I had called XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX and asked why I was being charged 2x. They said they didnt get all the money and yet I had paid them via XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. My account reflects they got the XXXX and shows no payments due but this repo fee. I want the repo removed as we were not notified and I was told that because my check didnt clear they had the immediate right to take possession of my vehicle since they made it 2 months behind. In addition, this was not my original lender. I was to have been with XXXX XXXX ; however, after a month I was told our loans were moved to XXXX XXXX without any agreement or documents. I didnt agree to have this company as my lender and I didnt sign a loan agreement with them. There are numerous complaints on a site called XXXX XXXX. Why are they allowed to treat people this way. I am a single mom with an XXXX child and I can not afford the stress and all they had to do was communicate.

Complaint: The fees of the company seem Highly inflated and every time i've called to get more details on the fees of my loan, the representatives can not fully explain the breakdown of the charges. The maturity date on my autoloan is XX/XX/2018. I have had 3 payment extensions during the 60 month term of the loan. My monthly payment is {$420.00} so therefore my loan balance should be around {$1200.00} but instead the balance is {$3200.00}. My auto loan was also transferred from XXXX to Westlake Financial about 30 months into my loan and without my consent. Furthermore, the original amount financed was {$13000.00} yet, as of today I have made {$21000.00} in payments and STILL have another {$3200.00} before the loan closes

Complaint: Good afternoon, I am asking for your assistance in correcting my payments, making adjustments, I sense that my leader is using and has used illegal practices. My loan was opened in XX/XX/XXXX. I have been in constant communication with this lender and the contact person is XXXX XXXX. Resent Email sent to Lender on XX/XX/XXXX Good morning XXXX and West Lake Financial, I received your letter and the payment history of my account # XXXX and I am requesting your Accounting Departments review and recondition with correcting many late charges, assures that the amounts applied to Interest and Principal are correct, it doesnt look constant, payments made from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX all went to interest and also late fees were applied, please adjust this. I will also be seeking free legal review as this payment history does not feel right, I know from past conversations from your staff the system applied the amounts incorrectly and was told many times that it would be corrected in the system and as I stated before this auto currently requires repairs and I also have an open hearing with XXXX not yet settled for fees that a previous company should have paid, I have attached the open dispute and due to this I have been unable to register my auto since XX/XX/XXXX. I honestly feel that I have paid this auto off and possibly even over paid by now and unfortunately from the XXXX feedback regarding your company, I am not the only one who has this happening and I would really like you to understand that this whole situation has been a burden, pressure and a constant headache since I receive letters from XXXX XXXX stating that a total amount is now due. I am a single Mom with two pre-teen children and live in the XXXX XXXX so everything is high in cost and I am doing my best to resolve this situation and really ask for your help and if you help me resolve this we can have this added to the XXXX as positive feedback.

XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter with no acknowledgement or agreement of removing the accounts. They refuse to delete this information as verbally agreed by them in XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: I financed a car through Westlake Financial back in XX/XX/2014 with a very high interest rate and monthly payment. I am in the process of refinancing that loan through my credit union ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) with a much lower interest rate and monthly payment. I have worked on my credit and paid the high car payment on time for 3 years and am now in a position to be approved for refinancing which was always my plan with this car loan. I have been calling Westlake Financial for almost 2.5 weeks and had very poor customer service and been give different information from everyone I have spoken with. I even spoke to a lead supervisor named XXXX XXXX and she was very rude and rushing me off the phone. I need a front and back COPY of the title to my car, in order for credit union to refinance. Westlake Financial is giving me the run around and saying they do not release that type of info. Basically, Westlake Financial is preventing me from refinancing my car at a lower interest rate and monthly payment by not providing my credit uinon with just a front and back COPY of the title to my car which is needed by the credit union to verify the car has no other lean holders.

Complaint: onXX/XX/XXXX at XXXX I drove my vehicle to XXXX to buy milk for my son and when I was driving back my car shut off and shortly afterwards a tow truck pulled up behind me started lifting the rear of my vehicle, I yelling for them to stop and once my cars was lifted high in the air, two men approached both sides of the car shinning flash lights in my eyes demanding me to exit the vehicle or I would be arrested. This continued for about 5 mins or longer. They continued to threaten me to be arrested and the police were on there way and I was going to jail. I police vehicle arrived and the two men walked away from my vehicle. I couldn't what was happening because the police had there spot light pointed at my vehicle. About 5min had passed and the police hadn't come talk to me, so rolled my windaws down and asked if he would come talk to me. The officer told me to keed me hands out of the window and he would instruct me how to exit the vehicle, The had me keep my hands over my head and walk backwards towards his voice until I was told to stop and drop to my knees. I did as they asked and when in view there were 4 offices with there weapons pointed at me. the officer said that I was not under arrest at this time but, I was being detained. I tried to explain my side of events but, they were not interested in my statement. I was told the I would in-cuffed and to go on home that my car is being repossessed.

Complaint: West lake financial returned my vehicle as agreed on XX/XX/XXXX. We were informed that the vehicle was in the same condition as when it was picked up 6 months ago. We have been working with XXXX XXXX. When the car was delivered it was NOT in running condition and the key was broken off in the ignition the car has no power and is not running. My mother has made several calls with no answer. One additional call was placed this morning to XXXX which is XXXX number at west lake that has now been disconnected. Since my loan falls under the SRCA it was rewritten following those guidelines. As you can see in the attached documents westlake states the car is in running condition.

Complaint: I purchased a car and Westlake was the finance company. I am XXXX XXXX and informed the finance company of this and was told there was no relief for me. I was lead to believe that repossession was my only alternative. They came and picked up the car XX/XX/2017. I have since found out that I was covered under the SMRA and should NOT have had my car repossessed. This is a violation of the federal law that protects military personnel. I have since tried to retrieve my car back without success and my credit has since been ruined. They have been unwilling to work with me to settle this issue.

Complaint: My car was illegally repossessed by this company. I never received in documentation that I was in danger of car being removed. Once it was removed, company failed to send me and proof of accounting and documentation on how I could pay and get my car. I called and sent letters to get info for car ... NO RESPONSE. I have contacted a lawyer and was informed there was supposed to be documentation sent to me in accordance with repo. I only received a settlement later months after the car was taken. I have also referred this to a FDCPA attorney to file a motion.

Complaint: went truck shopping for a certain truck which was a XXXX XXXX XXXX or higher. found car stars on XXXX of a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX fully loaded sunroof navi the works in stock forsale at this lot., i called i spoke with XXXX , invited me in too view the XXXX XXXX. i have all documents for proof also. im not a car expert i have very little knowledge about cars/trucks. The truck had no sunroof as described in ad. but that was ok. i purchased the vehicle as an XXXX model which is the middle class of the XXXX. i thought i got a good deal until i went too XXXX dealer for an oil change they made me aware of the true model of the truck which was the lowest model of the XXXX for that year, the dealer charged me for the XXXX version when i had the XXXX version cheapest model. XXXX i paid for down payment. contacted the dealership and made them, aware of the findings they told me i was wrong and that my information was wrong and that it was an XXXX model. it was not, i sent over paperwork stating what the truck was and how can we work this out. dealer didnt want too make new terms for vehicle at correct pricing, so i returned the truck a few days later.. i was told no one gets too ride for free after bringing a vehicle back too cancel deal so i was charged a rental fee and damage to the left side driver rear view window that had a scuff on it from sitting on the lot for several months. dealer on refunded me XXXX out of XXXX for rental fees and a mirror that was already scuffed up when i purchased. i was charge more taxes then usual missing paperwork, miles were submitted wrong to finance company to recieve more monies for the truck and it was not even the correct truck trim that was submitted, if it were the would have not loan that amount. its alot of fraud being done at this car dealer.

Complaint: I paid off the loan -- in full -- on XX/XX/XXXX ; that's the day XXXX delivered the check. XXXX XXXX XXXX claims they didn't credit the account until XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX told me it takes them 30 - 45 days to update their system ( which is outrageous because they IMMEDIATELY report if I miss a payment ). 30 days from receipt of the payoff check would be XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX was still reporting the loan open and now 90 days late. On XX/XX/XXXX ( after 45 ) the account was still listed as open and 90 days late on my XXXX report. As of XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX still reporting the account as open and late to XXXX and XXXX ; thus harming my FICO score and my individual credit rating at XXXX and XXXX at 60 days since I paid off the balance.
