My branch is located at XXXX XXXX in XXXX, VA. A copy of the wire is attached. The next day, on the XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX I requested an amendment as the account number for the recipient XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, that had been entered was incorrect. The correct account number for them was XXXX.
I received a letter from Capital One dated the XXXX of XXXX that all should be good with the wire referencing my Claim # XXXX. A copy is attached.
The recipient XXXX XXXX XXXX whose correct account number XXXX with XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX has still not received the funds till date the XX/XX/XXXX. They have also initiated a trace from their side and have not heard anything yet from Capital One.
I initiated a trace ( Trace # XXXX ) on the XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX and have not heard anything back from Capital One. Today is the XXXX of XXXX and I have initiated a Recall on the funds from the XXXX branch with the Claims Intake Department. I spoke to a lady by the name of XXXX and her supervisor XXXX ( EID : XXXX ) who told me that the processor will call me.
It has been more than 30 days since I initiated the wire. I request you to please treat this with the highest priority, escalate the matter and advise me when the funds will be returned to my account.

Complaint: I emailed the CEO at Capital One, as I am trying so hard to get this account re-opened. I have the money to pay the entire balance!!! I am baffled and confused why my account was closed. We are leaving the country on vacation in 3 weeks & was planning on paying off card & using while in XXXX. This affected my credit score tremendously! As I have had this card for over 5 years!! This is the email Hello. My name is XXXX XXXX. I have had a Capital One card since XX/XX/2012. In only five short years, I have paid religiously and in return your card has helped my credit tremendousy. I am not sure if people ever thank you, but I really do appreciate that your company took a chance on someone with not great credit.
Today, however, I learned that my account was closed without my knowledge. I have ben racking my brain on why this would happen especially jsut after the holidays where everyne tends to spend more. My first thought is blame My wife ( haha-just kidding ) but we recently switch from a bank to a credit union, as we are hoping to refinance our car for a shorter period of time. Well with the kids and the holidays she assumed I updated Capital One bank info and I assumed she updated, so we made scheduled payments but they were returned as that account was closed. I have the money to pay off credit card in full and was planning to pay off by end of month as we are leaving for XXXX in XXXX. ( Last year capital one went on a cruise with us and what a blast we had!! ) We had planned on paying off & bringing our most trustworthy card and having the times of our life ( for a week, anyway ). But the account was closed??? After years of struggling financially and now finally owning a successful business, I am saddened by this. I hope you can reactivate this account, as although my credit is improving, I feel a loyalty to Capital One and would like to continue business with you for all future needs.
Again I have been thinking and thinking why you all would close my account and thought maybe a little more activity on my credit may have looked suspicious. I was told by my credit union I did not have enough loans and credit accounts. So last month I got a personal loan, another small capital one rewards card & a store card as well, just to show I can balance many payments while maintaining a good payment history. So ultimately trying to build my credit may have ruined my good standing with my longest card and I hope thats not the case, as the personal loan will be paid off within a year & i hoped to keep the smaller capital one card available and then add my teenage daughter as a user in a few months, that way we can track her spending some. I had great plans and was looking forward to no longer having average credit and hoping in 6 months have excellent credit, but by you all shutting off my longest, oldest account-i think I will be back to step one again.
I sincerely apologize about the returned payment, and I hate to think years of my on time payments would be affected by one small human error, especially during the holidays with kids -- its a busy, fun time and it was an error not intentional at all. I hope you will find it in your heart to reactivate my account so we may enjoy a great family vacation without the headache of dealing with banks & cash or credit reports. Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Complaint: Contacted Capital One on XX/XX/2019 was placed on hold for a long time ago and was constantly transferred. When I was finally able to speak to a rep, I explained my situation in regards to the credit limit on my accounts and asked for a supervisor. I was then placed on hold by rep ( ID # XXXX ) for several minutes, then was told that the supervisor she spoke to told her that they could not override the automatic system decision. I then explained to the rep that I asked to speak to a supervisor to be able to escalate my concerns to the executive office. This has been an ongoing issue when I contact Capital One, horrible customer service, long wait times and no resolution. Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I closed my checking account with Capital One Bank. At the time I signed the papers to close the account I was told I had to close all auto pay accounts. I called the next day to close an autopay I had through this Capital One account for a XXXX Credit Card. They said it was too late, and that they were already processing the payment. I acknowledged, and I am prepared to pay for, the overdraft fee and amount of this original payment - even though I then paid XXXX directly over the phone through my new bank account ( with XXXX XXXX. ) However, a month later I went to charge a 4 payments for XXXX through XXXX XXXX, via XXXX, each roughly {$13.00}, {$17.00}, {$3.00} and {$3.00}. Although I had closed my Capital One bank account, Capital One did NOT mark the account as closed. A debt collection representative called me on the phone and said I owed over {$600.00} in overdraft fees as they re-opened the account when XXXX XXXX went to charge the account - instead of just reporting the account as closed. This was not an automatic, recurring payment. I had other payment methods available to XXXX ; however, Capital One allowed XXXX to charge the account multiple times resulting in multiple overdraft fees. I have tried to resolve this issue with Capital One and XXXX ; XXXX refunded their charges but is unable to assist with Capital One overdraft fees - fees that would have been avoided if the account would have remained closed from the XX/XX/XXXX date as I signed off on. I closed this account. No further charges should have been able to post to this closed account. I have paperwork I signed noting that the account was closed. I want Capital One to charge me only for the {$42.00} and the resulting overdraft fee from XXXX.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment in the amount of $XXXX to Capital One towards my credit card balance. The card rewards state that as long as your account is in good standings with the company, you are able to utilize the cash back feature towards the balance on your credit card (which my account is and I have paid more than the minimum balance each month). My payment due on XX/XX/XXXX was $XXXX. I utilized my cash back credit of $XXXX in addition to a payment from my financial institution, which totals $XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I reviewed my account information for the month and noticed a late fee charge of $XXXX which was debited to my account with Capital One. The statement also showed that both the cash back used towards my statement in the amount of $XXXX along with my $XXXX personal payment was received a nd utilized toward my balance on XX/XX/19. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted customer service and spoke with XXXX, a customer service rep and then asked to speak with a manager to have the charge removed as my account has NEVER been late.Next, I spoke with XXXX who stated she is a senior account supervisor. I asked that the late fee be removed. She said that the system would not let her remove the fee. I asked for an explanation and she wasnt able to provide one. I also asked her where I could review the information that states that the cash back could not be used towards my statement for the month. She stated it is shown on a box that is checked when I redeem the cash. There is no way to view this information now. I also looked on the company website under their FAQ segment and have a screen shot available showing that NOTHING online on their website states any disclusions about using cash back rewards towards the statement. When asked who I could contact at Capital One regarding my credit card with them, she told me to go on their website to find the address. Because I had just experienced a problem with the transparency of their “rules” for redemption of cash back on their website, I did not trust that the website would provide me with accurate or reliable information which is why I have contacted you.If needed, I can certainly supply all of the screen shots I have taken regarding this information to support my case.I would like the fee to be reversed, as well as help other customers of Capital One in the future. There should be transparency and available information to the consumer regarding limitations on their cash back limitations.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I was lied to about shoes. A man on XXXX was saying XXXX for XXXX dollars. I texted the number he gave me his XXXX app name and disappeared. He stop responding and blocked me from everything. I have screenshots of everything we talked about. I went to XXXX app and they said there was nothing they could do and to contact my bank. I called Capitol One and they told me to wait until it clears and then dispute the charges. I dispute the charge but they tell me there is nothing they can do either because I transferred the money already.

Complaint: I have been a victim of ID Fraud back in XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. During this time, there were multiple Capital One cards opened in my name without my permission. This has been proven based on Capital Ones investigation along with a copy of the police report that was given to all three credit Bureau, and Capital One took them off except 1. They left one card on my credit report stating that it was mine and instantly reported 60+ days late. Obviously this is not mine. I asked them to send me something in writing that I personally signed authorizing them to open this account. If they can not, then they must remove this account off of all 3 of the Credit reporting Bureaus (XXXX, XXXX and XXXX) immediately!

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Capital One explaining that after an SCRA benefit was attached to my account, my interest rate was lowered to 4 % and that they now owed me {$780.00} dollars. I called them and they said they would mail the check out to me then, and it would take up to 10 business days to receive it. 3 weeks go by and I call back again. During that phone call, Im advised that they havent sent the check because my account needs to be in good standing for 3 months and that they, will send my refund check of {$780.00} dollars in XX/XX/XXXX. I call back in XX/XX/XXXX and Im advised that my account is in good standing and they will release the check to be sent out on the XX/XX/XXXX and that it will be 10 business days maximum. I call back in XX/XX/XXXX and Im told I shouldnt have waited so long for a check and they will reissue another one that day, and to wait 10 business days again. I call again on XX/XX/XXXX and Im told its been sent snail mail. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and I called again a few days ago and Im being told to wait. I have received all my monthly statements but this check is magically missing. It doesnt make sense, and I would like this looked into. I have asked on multiple occasions Ive asked for the check to be overnighted, and was told that was not an option.
