Complaint: On or about XX/XX/ 2018 Capital One removed {$1300.00} from my checking account without my consent or authorization. Despite spending many hours on the phone talking to various employees of Capital One, nobody was willing to give me any explanation for why the money was taken. I was simply told that they received a request from another bank that they couldn't refuse. The remainder of the funds in my checking account were mailed in the form of a check to my PO Box , and my account was closed. This caused a very real hardship, as I explained to Capital One that I had a flight booked that very same day to leave for vacation.

Complaint: To whom is may concern : I XXXX XXXX have been a credit card holder of capital one for at least 5 years. Starting XX/XX/XXXX someone has been trying to steal my identity. Someone would call into Capital One customer service and change my address request new/replacement credit cards be sent out to them. We are XX/XX/XXXX and this is continuing to happen right now today over a course of 4 months. Capital One has failed to meet the satisfaction of a customer by proctecting a customer from such indents and to keep such indents from occurring. Each call the fraudster has made they have been Successful at getting my address changed and replacement credit cards mailed out to them. Despite all measurements I have taking diespite all measurements Captial One has taking with noting my account and placing restrictions on my account. By the time I have changed everything back to my information and I have received my new cards only to have them canceled and the fraudster having other cards mailed out to them. I have placed fraud alerts in my credit files I have all credit files frozen and locked. But so some reason the fraudster is still able to gain access to capital one and get my information changed and new/replacement cards mailed out to them. Capital One has failed to keep a customer information safe and secure. Capital One does not take this matter seriously. And are continuing to put my information at risk by allowing this to continue. Despite telling me my account is heavily noted and nothing can be changed or requested without doing a extensive verification check to confirm identity.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: For the past several months Capital One has billed my account for a XXXX subscription that I did not open or authorize. Even though I have repeatedly called, nothing was done to stop the charges. Finally, in XX/XX/XXXX, a merchant block was put on my account and I was " guaranteed '' no more charges from XXXX would be allowed. Each month I've had to call and cancel my card, get a new card and activate a new account. Now in XX/XX/XXXX I see that on XX/XX/XXXX, another charge from XXXX was allowed on my account. A supervisor from Capital One, XXXX # XXXX, stated that Mastercard is pushing the charge thru my account even though there is a merchant block on it. I feel that Capital One should contact Mastercard on behalf of their customers and let them know not to push through a charge that has repeatedly been disputed. It is a hassle to sit on the phone for several minutes ; this particular call I am currently on is at 36 minutes and still going. At this point, we are currently on a call with XXXX on a very long hold for a supervisor because XXXX can not even find an account related to my credit card number or past numbers. While XXXX and I waited and waited on hold with XXXX for a supervisor, when the rep told us he would transfer us, he actually disconnected us instead. There should be better protection for credit card customers than to have this type of hassle. I am closing my account to ensure no further charges since we could not resolve this issue with XXXX. XXXX did say at my request that she would forward this issue to Mastercard in hopes that customers receive better customer service.

I believe I made my payment to you when I received my statement. My only thought is that my statement did not get to me.

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: I have been a customer with capital one for 3 years.. And I have been paying on time. But I got behind on my account because I lost my job and had a baby. I wrote a letter to then explaining that. They checked my credit, which I didn't know was going to happen.. and drop my score down 30 points. Then I received a letter stating that they can't remove the late payments. I really think that sucks.. I have been paying my account on time each month. All I ask is for a little help to get my credit score cleared. I messed up and I'm sorry. I trying to make a better life for my family. I want to buy a house and those late payments are holding me back. Please please help me.

Problem getting a working replacement card
Complaint: 2nd complaint. I have had my capital one credit card for several years and my son has been an authorized user on the account ( he is a minor ) Per capital one credit card agreement he meets the age requirements to be a user, I recently added additional authorized users. Upon doing so ALL MY CARDS WERE RESTRICTED, because they wanted the PHOTO ID and SS CARDS to all at the same time otherwise the card would remain restricted.. I was able to obtain all information from all authorized users except one. My brother travels and does not carry his sscard with him. ( per the SSA recommendations and all credit bureaus, consumers should not travel with or keep this in their wallets, etc ) After I have received all information from all parties, they are requesting that my son has a government ID. He is a Student. He does not drive, and in TEXAS it is not a requirement that he has a government issued ID, at his age. Capital One has blocked me from using my own cards. I understand if aall the authorized users are not allowed to use the cards. However, Capital One does not allow me to remove any authorized user that placed on the account. I.E if one of the authorized users decided that they did not want to provide capital one with this sensitive information ... CAPITAL ONE informed me that my card ( Primary Users CARD ) WOULD HAVE remained BLOCKED! THis process is ridiculous and needs to be streamlined to make sense. THere was also no warning prior too. If I was aware that this information would have been needed I would attained all information prior. To ensure a streamlined process. I would have NEVER wanted my card to be restrictedor my son to be embarrassed while trying to get food on the day the card was restricted without NOTICE. THERE was no email, call, text or automated call sent. Although I receive a daily summary of my balance via email each day. They also do not honor your automatic payments when they account is restricted. i was charged a late fee because they failed to inform me that they would not draft the payment from my account for the minimum amount due when the account is restricted. I have talked to Capital One and they claim they have talked to other financial companies that have the same process. The fact. Other compnaies request the inoformation prior to sending out the cards and they inform the Primary card holder during the process of adding the Authorized user and or the call /email with information and a time frame ..i.e 72 hours to provide documents before request is cancelled.. However the Primary card holder is not restricted unless they are the party in question. please assist me in this process. I have been on the ph today 96 min trying to get an answer regarding my sons required docs and there is nothing written in the Capital One by laws that state this information.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: Good Afternoon, I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payments reported on my credit report. I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me. I still went ahead and made the payment as shown on the receipt attached, however there still discrepancies shown on my credit report the way it's reporting such as with the wrong balance, wrong date of last activities, etc. There are several and multiple inaccuracies reporting on my credit report with this account. Due to these multiple violations on the way, it's reporting, I'm asking that this account be updated and paid as agreed never late or completely removed from my credit file. Please see the settlement offer shown attached!

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I called Capital One to get the payoff on my GM Credit card ending in XXXX.
I pay via their on-line system same day, total {$5500.00}.
Approximately 30 days later, I received a bill for {$91.00}.?. I called Capital One twice and ask to speak with a manager because they said it was an interest charge and it was not included in the payoff they provided to me. They would not waive even though I was quoted a different amount for payoff. I was advised interest would not be charged on interest, but that isnt correct either. New bill reflects XXXX. I filed a claim with Attorney General and they said I need to file on this website.

Complaint: I was talked into a card I didn't need.It had perks such as a hat, tote bag and a discount.Cabela 's Club card issued by World foremost bank.Made a {$52.00} XX/XX/XXXX and did not receive a bill for quite a while.First bill arrived with a {$27.00} late fee.I attempted to pay the card but mu account information was not recognized.On XX/XX/18 I called and talked at length with a rep and tried to pay the balance and get the late fee expunged.XX/XX/18 a confirmation number of XXXX was assigned.Next bill came with additional {$38.00} late fee.At this point I couldn't believe this was happening and emailed them concerning the oversight, ( Picture of email attached ). Now the charge is {$53.00}, {$80.00} and $ XXXX.I am a senior citizen who has strived to maintain an excellent credit score all of my working life.On XX/XX/18 I paid the full amount {$91.00} because nothing else was working.At that point I sent an email ( attached ) to Cabela 's customer service so they would know what was happening with the card.Apparently my credit score has taken a big hit due to this unethical business practice of Capital One.
