Assuming the line was increased, I received notification from credit bureau stating my score dropped due to over credit limit ... I was told by capital one that their was a glitch allowing it to go that high, she then transferred me over to a senior supervisor named XXXX, who said there is absolutely nothing they can due regarding an issue they they made, and is affecting MY CREDIT in which im trying to build back up upon declaring bankruptcy last year.

Complaint: opened an account with Capital One with offer code XXXX -- the terms was to deposit at least {$50000.00} in new money, with NO cumulative balance required ( copy of terms attached ). I fulfilled this requirement, and confirmed with Capital One representatives that I had completed the requirements. The representative confirmed, and told me I just needed to wait 60 days from completion and the offer would be posted ( confirmation attached ). I have not received the bonus payment even after the required wait period.

Complaint: To Whom It May Be Concerned : I represent XXXX XXXX XXXX. Mr. XXXX is an asset to our company. We have granted Mr. XXXX an exclusive card that is not available to our normal customers. Mr. XXXX was treated unfairly upon the investigation of the fraudulent account ending in XXXX. Mr. XXXX is a severe victim of ID theft. As a world elite and preferred card member, Mr. XXXX has access to our bank fraud department intervening and resolving credit grantor disputes. According to the call with the Cap1 agent, XXXX ( { call id : XXXX, Dispute ID:XXXX, Date of Call : XX/XX/XXXX }, the agent confirms the account was closed for fraud on XX/XX/XXXX. He still says there is a fraud investigation that is opened on the account. To our knowledge, the consumer had received a confirmed letter in XXXX confirming fraud and the closure of the above referenced account. It is quite unfortunate that Cap1 took over 90 days to complete the investigation. I will be cc'ing the FTC and the XXXX in regards to this matter. Complaint: My complaint is against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They charged me {$520.00} for their insurance that they did not tell me about when I rented the car from them. My insurance, XXXX XXXX, was already covering this rental and the insurance for the rental. I feel like the addition of the redundant rental insurance was deceptive and was not disclosed it to me until after they charged my account. My bank Capital One has not been helpful in helping me resolve this issue with XXXX.

Complaint: I had my wallet stolen on the evening of XX/XX/2019, which contained my social security card and state issued ID. I attempted to call capital one to report the fraud and freeze my account, but their fraud department was closed. This is the only card ( of the ones I have ) whose fraud department is not 24 hours. When I called the morning of XX/XX/2019, I was transferred to a foreign call center. The representative was adherant to a script about issuing a new card and would not listen to my concerns about my account information being compromised and having steps taken to prevent fraudelent activity and changes to my account. I was issued a new card and because I could not make any progress with the representative, ended the call to make other calls for the day. On XX/XX/2019, I recieved an email that another new card had been requested on my behalf ( not the one I called for ). When I called again, I spoke with the US fraud department and was told that a fraud alert would be placed on my account and told me my information would not be supplied to anyone calling, only confirmed or denied according to policy. My account was locked to my phone number - seemingly because the thief tried to change the phone number, and I was transferred to the IT department. The IT person could not unlock my account, so transferred me to the foreign fraud department. The representative then read out my phone number, and asked me to confirm. This is concerning becuase my identity is already severly compromised at this point, but now the thief potentially has my phone number too, which will allow them even easier access to my accounts. Repeated calls to Capital One local and foreign agents have been unsuccessful in resolving this issue or securing my account and the representatives seem wholly unconcerned about this issue. I've been told repeatedly that while it is not their policy, they can not keep their representatives from accessing and giving out my personal information.

Complaint: Called Capital One on XX/XX/19 to discuss the credit card limit on the XXXX and Platinum card accounts. Was told by one rep that he was transferring me to the dept that would manually review my accounts for more credit limit. After being transferred numerous times and placed on hold for over 1 hour, was told that manually reviewing an account is not an option. Called on XX/XX/19 and spoke to an account specialist that refused to begin an investigation process of why one rep said that the account would be manually reviewed and another stated this was not an option.

It is showing that I have a total of 3 credit cards with all negative balances and maxed out how is that possible as previous stated I have been a victim of ID THEFT even with the internal revenue to the point I have a specialized pin I use to my federal income taxes. I can verify that I only opened one of the credit cards and I still have that one card in my possession ending in XXXX. Please see what can be done so that the company removes this information on my report because it is negatively impacting my character and credit history any assistance that you can provide will be greatly appreciated the account numbers that are in question are : # XXXX balance is also showing for XXXX and also XXXX now how can a company say I owe this many cards if the first one is defaulted why are they issuing more cards this information needs to be updated and removed immediately

Complaint: I have a Platinum Mastercard credit card with Capital One Bank. My Payments are due on the XXXX of every month and I initiated a transfer of the remaining balance on the card to my XXXX card on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$200.00}. I mainly wanted to pay off the card, because my account was placed on restriction by Capital One, for reasons unbeknownst to me. Unfortunately Capital One processed the payment late, charging me a late fee of {$25.00} and two interest charges. I called Capital One to provide proof that I did indeed pay the account on time and I want to close the account. The associates refused to provide any info regarding the account over the phone with me, despite having answered security questions such as what is my SSN, etc ... Please resolve because this account is accruing interest fees and charges, impacting my credit score ... when the payment to pay off remaining debt has been issued.

I am the Trustee of my fathers Trust and I am his Power of Attorney. The beginning of XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Capital One to close a 360 Savings Account. I was told that I needed to send them the Power of Attorney documents. I sent them on XX/XX/XXXX. Since that time I have called and called and the response is that department is backed up - we are going on 60 days to close an empty account. The account has a XXXX balance - I just need it closed. Complaint: While Out of town I was using my Debt / Credit card from Capital One Bank. I made various charges as a credit card to the account.on XXXX Simultaneously an automated Debt Check hit my account in the amount of {$270.00}. This put my account into a low balance of {$130.00} On XX/XX/2018 a charges were put thru in the amount of XXXX on XX/XX/2018 {$8.00} XX/XX/2018 XXXX XXXX {$73.00} That caused a negative Balance of {$16.00} as a result caused a {$35.00} Overdraft Fee. Debt Card Charges on XX/XX/2018 {$23.00}, {$45.00}, I was then Charged {$70.00} Overdraft for {$68.00} in Card Charges. See attached XX/XX/2018 Statement. On XX/XX/2018 Card Purchases {$3.00}, {$13.00}, {$49.00}, {$56.00} and {$100.00} were processed and the account was charged {$170.00} in Overdraft fees for {$230.00} of charges. I was never alerted by Capital one as they allowed over 8 Charges since the negative Balance appeared. So from XX/XX/2018 to XX/XX/2018. So for over 8 days Capital one allowed me to run a negative Balance. Without any communication to me. I found out about this about this on XX/XX/2018 and called Capital one customer service and Spoke to a Representative that identified himself as XXXX. I explained to him that I had no idea of the negative balance and why did not Capital One at least notify me. I also notified him that I am a Merchant and accept Credit and debt cards and when I put thru a sale Especially on a debt card the sale would be rejected as should so the purchaser can know that their is no more money and use an alternative way of payment at point of sale. He apologized and said he could only credit my account 5 or 6 Overdraft fees but if I went into the branch they would credit my account for all the overdraft fees a total of 10 fees amounting to {$350.00} On XX/XX/2018 I went into my nearest Capital One Branch in Naunet I spoke to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX the Branch Manager. I explained what XXXX said. She told me that was not true. She then went on to say there was no XXXX at customer service that I called the Night Before. She said as a courtesy she could only credit me two overdraft fees a total of {$70.00}.. I explained to her that Capital One allowed me to run a negative balance for 10 days and that this pattern is predatory. She said sorry that is the best she can do. I said Fine give me the balance due and close all of my accounts and I Gave her XXXX to XXXX out my account and I handed her my debt card and told her to destroy it. She said that should do it. Recently I Received a letter from Capital One stating that their was more charges to my account and more overdraft fees. Capital one Cleared Charges on XX/XX/2018 for XXXX cents and {$19.00} and Charged me {$70.00} in overdraft fees. then on XX/XX/2018 in the amount of {$17.00} with an Overdraft fee charge of {$35.00} and a maintenance fee of {$15.00}. another {$120.00} in Fees and they refuse to close my account. So if you add it up Capital one charged my account a total of {$470.00} for {$280.00} in Charges that should have never been processed. This is a predatory practice to say the least. This should be investigated not Just for me but also for countless other Customers they have done this to.
