Complaint: I became aware of a credit inquiry on my XXXX credit record dated XXXX XXXX , XXXX which I did not authorize. I have a fraud alert on my credit records due to previous id theft and fraud loans at Wachovia aka Wells Fargo. The unauthorized inquiry was : Wells Fargo Phone Ban k ( a credit card division ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , OR XXXX XXXX I called the XXXX # associated and was transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Executive Branch ) in XXXX , Va. She inquired into my identity and asked if I had recently applied for a credit card. I said no. She then created fraud report XXXX and provided me with her phone number XXXX , XXXX , & XXXX . I have called all and gotten absolutely nowhere with regard to getting this inquiry to my credit investigated. I have been told it was an inside team member who was pre-authorizing me for a credit ca rd ( wit hout my authorization? or knowledge ? ). Forbid den, unacceptable, FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! I should be monetarily compensated for damages associated with ongoing stress over the past 7 years associated with Wells Fargos ' il legal business practices and issuance of fraudulent loan products and obviously now credit cards. They refuse to provide me copy of the credit application or any other definitive information about their unauthorized inquiry. I want to sue.

Complaint: this started with complaint XXXX . Wells Fargo who bought my VA loan has complicated my ownership of parcel XXXX XXXX . I contacted CFPB and they helped clear this deeds legal description. all when well. this was apparently straightened out. Then at the refinance the lot was completely disreguarded. no record of it. after months of straightening things out, Wells Fargo is very slow. nothing is done by e-mail. all snail mail.
It appears they are working with my municipal tax office to manipulate ownership from me.

Complaint: Wells Fargo posted a check to my account on XXXX in the amount of {$2900.00}. On XXXX {$2900.00} was deposited into my account and I had more than enough to pay the difference. They claim that it was received on XXXX . However, everything on their mobile banking states " Posted XXXX . '' This seems like that game where they re-order the transactions in order to charge at NSF fee. Even though they paid the check out. Which, if the funds were n't there, why would a bank pay out {$2900.00} in overdraft?? They knew the funds were there and had no problem paying the check. The check even " posted XXXX '' according to their website. Yet, somehow, the check " withdrew '' on XXXX and paid out without the proper funds in my account and they let it through, only to charge me an NSF fee. Eventually they waived the fee after " educating '' me on their procedures. However, this seems a lot like the stuff banks have gotten in trouble for before.

Complaint: I went to my local Wells Fargo branch to review which loan options would best fit up to {$20000.00} in home improvement projects prior to putting up my home for sale. A Wells Fargo consultant sat down with my husband and I and we viewed a few options I had questions on. We decided that a personal loan would best suit us at the time. I was interested in a personal loan because I plan to sell my house in the next couple of months and pay the loan off with the capital gains from the house. I wanted a loan without prepayment penalties and a fixed interest rate so in the event that something happened and I was not able to sell, that it would be an easy and reasonable payment. We decided with the Wells Fargo consultant that the personal loan was our best option. The consultant ran our Wells Fargo account information and walked us through the loan application process. She put in our monthly bills, mortgage, and car etc ... She said that we would definitely qualify and that I could qualify on my own if just I apply and the interest rates would fall somewhere between 6- 9 % on the loan. She recommended we complete the loan application online and then bring in the documents for signing that would be mailed to us. I finished filling out the online application on 4/18. I received an acceptance letter in the mail and opened it on Monday 4/24. The letter stated that I had been approved for a line of credit with a variable interest rate of 12 %, instead of being approved the personal loan that I had applied for online with Wells Fargo. I thought that there had been a mistake and I took the documents down to my local branch and talked with the same consultant as before. I showed her the documents and said that there has been some mistake and that this is not what I applied for, or spoke to you about when we were researching our options. She said that she remembered, but that she really could n't do anything that I would have to call Wells Fargo. I explained again that I had applied for a loan and not a line of credit and asked if she could look into it with Wells Fargo. She copied the first page of my letter from Wells Fargo and said she would try to investigate it and call me back.
After leaving the branch on the afternoon of 4/24, I called the Wells Fargo to follow up and was transferred from person to person until being transferred to Customer Care and Executive Services where Wells Fargo opened up a case to investigate what happened to my loan application getting turned into a personal line of credit with a variable interest rate. I was not allowed to send any emails or my letter from Wells Fargo, or screen shots of the application process. I was told that I would be able to do that once I was transferred to a case manager at Executive Services. I was told that if I wanted a loan I would have to apply again. I asked Executive Services that if I applied online for a loan again how could I be assured that it would n't get turned into a line of credit again? I chose to go back to the Wells Fargo branch and talk to the original consultant that helped us. At the same time, she had called me back and said that after her investigative work with calls she was told me that my application was for a line of credit instead of a loan. I explained that I had most certainly applied for a loan and wanted to sit down and show her my documents and screen shots from the application process, so I returned the branch with my documents and screen shots the evening on Mon XXXX .
She told us that I could apply for a loan again through her to make sure everything went through and that it would most likely account for only 1 credit inquiry because she made notations in the file for what had happened with the original loan application. She also told us that I had 7 business days to withdraw from the already approved line of credit and gave us the number to call and that I would need to call before XXXX or I could not withdraw my application, it would book automatically. She also told us that we would need to call XXXX ourselves and request that the credit inquiry be removed because it was not the product we had thought we applied for. After my husband called XXXX himself he was given a Well Fargo number and told that we would have to ask Wells Fargo to ask XXXX to remove the Inquiries.
While at the bank branch on the evening on XXXX 4, we went through the loan approval application process with the original consultant and we were approved verbally through her for {$10000.00} loan at an interest rate of approx. 19.99 %. I do not remember the exact amount for interest, but it was much higher than the line of credit, and I rejected the loan offer there on site. Even with the notations she added in the file during the loan application process, from my previous online application, that I only wanted the personal loan, Wells Fargo counter offered instead of doing anything to try to withdraw or change the original application into the product we were asking for both in person and online. ( At the same time we are sitting in the local branch an email came through to me saying that my application was accepted and even though we did not accept the loan offer there on site and then an email was sent to me approx. 2 hours after leaving the bank saying that I was denied the loan by Wells Fargo, even though while in the bank we were given a loan offer? At this point I am not really sure what to believe or who to trust. ) The next day on Tuesdays XXXX , I called my contact through Costumer Care at Wells Fargo, to try to resolve the first case number and only escalated into a second case number. She transferred me twice to a Wells Fargo line for help in the removal of the credit runs at XXXX , both of which I was not able to leave a voice mail as she had directed. Also on XX/XX/XXXX , I had called the number given me to withdraw from the line of credit and I was told that there was nothing that they could do that the personnel line of credit was already booked. I do not understand how it could be booked when I was still within the timeframe to withdraw? Also I never signed any documents accepting the line of credit, and I have been on the phone and in the branch explaining that I am not interested in having it or using it and that I wanted to withdraw and cancel this. He repeatedly told me that there was nothing else he could do, and he was the number given to me at Wells Fargo for withdrawals, both in person at the branch and over the phone. I explained that I wanted to find out my options for cancelling and or withdrawing from the loan since I was never intending to use this. He told me that I could only work with Customer Care. He refused to help or give me any further assistance. He was very rude ( Everyone has been very friendly with the exception of this rep. However, even though they are friendly and polite no one is able to help, answer questions, or take any action to help the customer. I have been constantly told through this process and by several reps That is a great question XXXX XXXX ) When I called the person back at customer care this morning XX/XX/XXXX , to report it and pick up where we had left off from yesterday, I explained that I had until XX/XX/XXXX and that I was calling in the evening of XXXX and should be able to cancel the loan. After about an hour of her working with personnel at Wells Fargo while I was on hold, she said that she couldnt do anything more and transferred me to another member in the Executive Care for complaints that was for sure going to be able to help me with this. We started from the beginning all over again, and after an about an additional hour on the phone, another case was opened for the inability to withdraw from the loan. The case was then assigned to a new analyst at executive services that would be expediting this inquiry in 5 business days. I am back where I started and have not spoken to this analyst yet. I do not understand why it is so difficult to cancel or reject a product I did not intend to apply for or ever use.
I am reporting this because I did not receive the product I applied for both in person and online on two separate occasions this past week. I have banked with Wells Fargo my whole life, have never had any type of issue with any of my accounts and have a very good credit rating. While banking with Wells fargo I have never applied for any type of loan. I was accepted for a product I did not apply for and have tried to both change from credit line to loan, and now withdraw, and yet I have not been able to reach any type of resolution with Wells Fargo. I have been handed from person to person and now have two separate case numbers on this incident with Wells Fargo. While trying to resolve the issue on my own with Wells Fargo for several hours each day, I do not have any resolution other than Wells Fargo collecting information from me, and it morphing into more issues, when all I would like now is for the loan applications to be withdrawn and the credit inquiries removed.
Even in reviewing my emails from Wells Fargo the information in their emails is different than the information given to me in person and over the phone with Costumer care. Even while they refused to withdraw my application for the line of credit they went ahead and with my current open cases, and calls to try to resolve between XX/XX/XXXX through today, XX/XX/XXXX , Wells Fargo still went ahead and activated the account that I did not apply for and am not interested in. While Well Fargo knew this and I had been reporting it to them all along, they refused to let me withdraw the application within 7 days. I was told my the rep at the bank, XXXX XXXX , that I had until XX/XX/XXXX to withdraw the application. Wells Fargo would not honor my wishes to withdraw, close, and cancel when I called the number for withdrawal on XX/XX/XXXX , and spoke to XXXX XXXX , and therefore this must be reported. In addition, there was never any clear documentation from Wells Fargo calling my application a line of Credit and not a loan. It was n't until I received the docs in the mail that it specified that it was for a line of credit and not a loan. Then I received an email on XX/XX/XXXX even after contacting Wells Fargo that the line of credit was active and this was sooner than it should have been activated. I was still within the time frame to withdraw the application but wells Fargo is refusing to do this for me even as a long time costumer that has never asked or applied for a loan.

Complaint: In XXXX , I obtained a mortgage from Wells Fargo to p urchase an investment property. I 've never missed a mortgage payment since. In XXXX XXXX , there was fire damage to the property caused by the tenant at the time. I filed an insurance claim and received an amount that ' s 2.4 times th e mortgage I currently owe Wells Fargo. At about the same time, I have received an offer from another investor wanting to buy the pro perty as-is, but I have a HELOC on the property as well through another financial institution that I was going to pay off using the insurance proceeds. Since the insurance check was made out to Wells Fargo and me, I called Wells Fargo 4 TIMES in less than a week explaining that I had a buyer lined up to buy the house as-is and would like for them to endorse the check and send back to me in time for it to clear and close by XXXX . Each time, the claims dept said ok. I even sent the check Next Day mail and included a Next Day return envelope ( at my expense ) so I could get the check back prior to my XXXX closing date. On XXXX , I received the pre-paid Next Day shipping envelope I sent them but it was empty. I called on XXXX and only then was I told that the funds were put into escrow and paperwork sent me to detail how I was going to fix the property!!! I have now had well over 15 conversations with different Depts at Wells Fargo in less than a month, including with a XXXX XXXX at thei r Executive Solutions (? ) Team but they keep asking for an insurance adjustment sheet for repairs to the property. Last week, their collections dept even called me stating my mortgage is past due ( which means there 's a real chance my credit will be affected ) WHEN WELLS FARGO HAS MORE THAN TWICE THE AMOUNT I OWE THEM!!! I keep telling them to deduct the mortgage balance and send me the rest, but NO ONE seems to care ... for some insane reason! After faxing the worksheet ( which I 'm still n ot sure why they need it as no one has explained it to me ), I am told it may take another 30+ days for the funds to be returned me!!
In my opinion, this is a blatant example of how a trillion dollar company uses their weight to crush the average person because they can. I am missing out on selling the property ; my Federal tax liability was not paid on time ( as I made plans based on them endorsing and sending me the check back ) and my credit rating may be affected as well, not to mention the emotional toll of having to deal with front line reps who are completely helpless, providing me canned/templated policy responses! On top of all this, they 're making money on my misfortune because the property is still incurring {$2.00} in interest A DAY while they hold on to the money I 'm counting on to pay them off! Should I be considering legal action instead?

Complaint: They hit me with overdraft fees cause of regulations on daily spending limits. went there in person on three occasions to have fee removed they would n't remove it. I tried to close the account they would n't because I had a balance and my auto pay for my mortgage through the same bank. Now after a little research I find that they set up fake accounts, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , and defrauded fha and payed XXXX XXXX in fines to justice department to make it go away? How is this company still in business and no one went to jail? So now I 'm stuck with bad credit and issue is still unresolved? So this institution does n't follow the laws and stays out of jail? But they want there customers to follow there regulations when they do n't follow any. Wondering what to do? I 'm disgusted with trying to resolve this? Complaint: Wells Fargo/Health Advantage off ered a product satisfaction guarantee as offered by both XXXX and Wells Fargo/Health Advan tage. If the h earing aids did not w ork to satisfaction within period then return the hearin g aids and the y would credit the card back and cancel the transaction. I returned the hea ring aids to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX , TX and notified the company that I returned them. I cont acted Wells Fargo a nd told them. They promised to refund and close out this credit card account. I never even received this credit card. It was just a promotion wit h Wells Fargo and XXXX XXXX XXXX that I saw on tv offering 0 % interest for one year and product guarantee 100 % satisfaction. XXXX XXXX I did a loan modification with wells fargo on which I wanted my ex wife taken off loan they said they would if I sent divorce decree and a quit claim which I did the quit claim was on all my acres decree gave me all rites to home. XXXX XXXX had to have land appraised get flood insurance on my barn and pay my bank fees for the loan. XXXX XXXX my bank said they could n't give me the loan because wells fargo had a lien on my house and had a lien on all my acreage. I told them there was not a lien on my 22 acres I w ent to courthouse got all my papers and found wells fargo had lien on all my land because they wrote wrong land description on my modification which they should not have done and did have lien on all acres. XXXX XXXX XXXX called wells fargo told them the situation and I needed the loan from my bank for my business and to get up to date on loan with them. they said they would do the lien release in 1 to 3 days. Complaint: The com pany is Wells Fargo and they are trying to collect and foreclose on a home and the it is illegal because both of the people who had the loan are deceased. They have received death certificates, durable owner of attorney, however, they are still threatening foreclosure on a deceased person. The Governor of Missouri and several attorneys have stated this is illegal in the state of mo. A complaint has been filed with the attorney general in Mo. Wells Fargo has failed to let the current relatives who are living in the house to assume the loan. Wells Fargo sent the mortgage under the deceased person 's name in Texas. They received the death certificate and said they would no longer collect on the debt. Complaint: I applied for a jumbo mortgage with Wells Fargo to refinan ce a first mortgage on an apartment located in XXXX jointly owned by me and my domestic partner. After a lengthy and inquisitive proc ess, Wells Fargo app roved the loan and send us a commitment lette r. ( atta ched ) In the meantime, I had filed a refi application with another bank and was approved very quickly, with better terms than the one offered by Wells. So I told Wells that we would not close the loan with them, which I had every right to do since I had not signed the commitment letter accepting the loan. We than both received what I would call a retaliation letter, stating that the bank had rejected our applicatio n ( the ver y same that I had accepted earlier ) and enumerating a lot of vague arguments and phony reason s ( payments incident, bad credit score etc ... ) to justif y the rejection. They knew perfectly well that those were pure fabricated falsehoods, since they had all our financial background in the initial application. I am very concerned that the disparaging comments about our finances ( wh ich we can prove are a pure lie and fabrication ) will somehow be leaked to other financial institution or used for scoring purposes. What if I ever apply for another loan that asks whether you have been previously rejected? How am I going to answer that question? Bottomline is that WELLS FARGO, which has already been haunted by numerous scandals, is simply trying to retaliate by tarnishing with falsehoods my financial reputation Thank you for your help, I hope Wells wo n't be allo wed to continue spreading deliberately false information to retaliate against clients
