Complaint: Recently I applied for a credit card thru Wells Fargo I was approved for the card when I call to activate the card I was told I would need to go to my bank and have the banker call them and I would need a Id. Since their was no wellsfargo banks near me going to my personal bank would be ok. Well did this four times and I live 15 miles out of town after the fourth trip I was told I would have to step into a Wells Fargo bank so I drove to XXXX Texas which is about a three hour trip from my home to take care of this. I met with the banker their and she was very helpful made copies of my Id and copies of XXXX bills they needed. So i left with the understanding all was good then the next day they wanted full pages of the bills so trip back to town to fax the copies. The very next day XXXX get a call from a lady that said she never received them I said I have confirmation that you did she said the fax machine was at the other end of the building and she had not looked yet. They kept telling me that a hold had been placed on the card because of recent activity that had been on the card and to activate I would need to call the number provided so we could clear this up we 'll soon as I would call they would tell me that they could not discuss this matter with me that I would need to step into the branch to get it cleared up but the letter I received clearly stated that I was to call them. Each time I was told the same thing. Still I have not got a straight answer because they will not discuss it with me. The lady that had helped me at the XXXX XXXX branch in XXXX filled a complaint on them Also. They have lied to me cost me money and time jumping thru all the hoops and they want talk to me about a card that has my name on it yet they are telling me that 's it 's activity on the card but the card has never been activated. Something very shady about this hole deal. I have dates for each event that has taken place emails sent to them And records of all of it. I this normal practice for a bank because it does n't seem Very professional my bank even thought it was strange. Why send me a letter telling me to call them to get the matter cleared up then tell me they can not discuss it with me. Biggest dog and pony show I 've ever seen. Can you please tell me what I need to do. The card is showing up on my credit report and shows the balance but I ca n't use it.

Complaint: Home equity line of credit application # XXXX with Wells Fargo On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted the application for home equality line of credit ( application # XXXX ) in the local Wells Fargo branch in XXXX XXXX. Two weeks after the application submission, I received an email asking for more documents. I didnt understand several of the items on the list, so I tried calling the number on the email, trying to get an explanation. However, after many attempts of calls and voicemails, I did get any response. I even asked the local banker to help explain such terms as acknowledgment of residual income and most current statement verification ; but even the banker himself could not explain. I finally got an opportunity and spoke with my loan application processor, and submitted all the documents she asked for on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted more documents via email and also explained that I would be out of country from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, and not able to answer phone call or check email frequently, if there are any additional documents needed, I will submit it on XX/XX/XXXX when I return home. However, they emailed me a denial notice on XX/XX/XXXX when I was still out of country. The two reasons for denial are : 1 ) amounts owned are too high relative to your income, 2 ) income stated on the application can not be verified. <P/>I was unfairly untreated in the process of applying for the home equality line of credit with Wells Fargo for two the following reasons : 1. I was not given clear instruction on what kinds of documents. They used the jargons that even their own bankers could not explain. They repeatedly ignored customers requests for clarificationthey ignored my emails, ignored my phone call and voicemailssee attached email exchange. Such arrogant and negligence of customers was unacceptable. <P/>2. Their denial reasons were not unfounded. 1 ) For the first reason, amounts owned are too high relative to your income. I have sufficient income and limited debt, the home equality line of credit I applied for was only $ XXXX for 10 years ; the monthly payment is less than {$250.00}. My monthly income is {$10000.00}, plus {$3200.00} rental income, plus personal investment and savings of more than {$20000.00}. My debt is limited, my income is more than enough to make this monthly payment. Plus, my credit score provided by WF is XXXX. <P/>2 ) For the second reason income stated on the application can not be verified. I have submitted my XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, tax returns of XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX, monthly pay stubs, and bank statements. I am a tenured XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX University, as a XXXX XXXX employee, my yearly salary is published online. In addition to the salary of my job, I also submitted statements of my personal investment and leases of my two rental properties as additional income. If these are not sufficient verification of income, I like to know what kind of verification they need. <P/>To conclude, my experience with applying for home equality line of credit with Wells Fargo Bank was very negative. I was treated unfairly. Complaint: I filed a complaint with your group and the company submitted inaccurate information. Company advised they could not speak with me, I spoke with Wells Fargo on 2 separate occasions. Wells Fargo has continued to conduct deceptive business practices which should be illegal. They tried to foreclose on my home initially by not going through the proper channels. They stated I had abandoned my home and submitted paperwork legal documents to clerk of court to expedite foreclosure. Next they advised you all they would try to help me with appeal, they denied my appeal with continued faulty explanation. During this entire process they have continued simply wanting to foreclose on my help since it is insured by FHA. They have did this thousands of times to many consumers and your group CFPB has allowed this practice. You closed out my prior complaint without giving me the opportunity to respond. I am writing my local representative i n Congress and the Senate along with SC Dept of Consumer Affairs. I was advised your organization was the group to submit a complaint but you continue to allow such behavior without any oversight or accountability on the behalf of Wells Fargo. Several pages later on this complaint you ask me for the billing address on the credit card. I tried to leave it blank because I do n't know. It would n't allow me to continue so I was forced to say it was the same as my mailing address.

Got the furthest with XXXX XXXX who said no one could refund more than one late fee and he was the highest person I could speak with. To summarize the issue, on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX I logged into Wells Fargo Dealer Serv ices website to catch the auto loan up. At this time it said the balance due was {$250.00} on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX , I made this payment at that moment, and scheduled automatic payments starting on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX . Unfortunately, the amount due was not actually {$250.00} and an additional {$240.00} was due. I understand that at this time, but the website to this day displays incorrect information indicating that the loan is not behind a payment.

T hey showed that the payments were late in both XXXX and XXXX 2017 . The only late payment was in XXXX 2017 , because I was not able to pay full amount due because I had paid my last fine payment, I can understand that. But it also showed the payment for XXXX 2017 was also late. In XXXX 2017 , I made two payments, 1st one was on XX/XX/XXXX and 2nd was on XX/XX/XXXX . the total of the two were for the amount due of {$410.00}. I also have proof from XX/XX/XXXX statement that they received those payments, yet falsely reported late payment for XX/XX/XXXX . Complaint: I was selling a household goods item - the person that bought it sent me a Wells Fargo Check for {$2000.00}. I deposited it into my Wells Fargo checking account. The company picking up the item for the individual was paid by me out of that {$2000.00} - a sum of {$1000.00} to pick up and transport the item ( about 40 feet of solid surface countertops, a sink, and a range ). As it turns out, it was fraudulent - the persons that sent me the check fraudlently drew a check on someones account, sent it to me. The bank took the {$2000.00} from my account, of which only {$1000.00} was left. So ... I am out {$1000.00}, the person to whom it was taken from is whole, the fraud perpetrator is up {$1000.00}, the bank is whole - it was a Wells Fargo check and I deposited it into a Wells Fargo account. I am the only one that was punished and I was as much a victim of the fraud as the other person. I thought fraud protection was one of the things the bank was supposed to help prevent, help make clients whole ( they do it for credit cards that they charge you 20 % on ). I have copies and specific dates as needed.

Complaint: Wells Fargo opened an account under my social security number and date of birth, it has been affecting my credit and information and that person has been using my info to get apartments and fraud on my credit card. I have complained to Wells Fargo and still nothing has changed and I am still able to log into Wells Fargo and open the checking and savings account online at WellsFargo.com. All Wells Fargo did w as mail me a fraud kit to pay them money to fix a problem they created. After I logged into WellsFargo.com the first time I made a complaint to CFPB and Wells Fargo. Then a few weeks later, I logged into WellsFargo a nd I noticed they changed their mailing address of the person who was using my account.

Complaint: I previously requested a modification on my home loan with Wells Fargo. While the modification was pending..payments were made, but not applied to my loan. I was advised that the loan must first be in default before the loan can be reviewed for the modification. This resulted in my loan showing more delinquent than the loan actually was on my credit. The lender then appraised the home for more than the value of the home and did not provide a copy of the value obtained when requested. The principal balance was then increased excluding the payments made and not applied at the time of the modification. Wells Fargo excluded the payments and based the monthly payment on now a more significant appraised value and raised the monthly payment by several XXXX XXXX . I was forced to accept the terms in order to save my home and was now severely delinquent. At the time of the modification the principal balance was increased to more than the value of the home at that time and the previous payments made were now misapplied. I followed up with the mortgage company in regards to the misapplied payments made during my modification review and they in turn researched it and after several phone calls and months, reversed them but indicated the payments could not be applied to the mortgage payments, but had to be put on the principal balance, in putting the payments on the principal balance, no restructure took place to lower the principal to reflect the funds applied. So.. to me if felt as if there was no resolution. I fell behind on m y HOA f ees trying to regroup from the now increased payments that caused an additional hardship. To make matter worse, I am in a community property state and from what I am being told, the modification was recorded incorrectly.

I then asked as advised in previous complaint to just close the accounts over phone but Wells Fargo still wants me to go to the branch. as I have stated I am XXXX and am unable to go. They are required to close my account over the phone but insist they do not have to and want me to go to branch and that is only way to close it. Is this how any company should run a business? This will be my last account with Wells Fargo . period. Please have them close my saving account and send me certified check for balance to my address on record.. I am done with this bank.
