Complaint: More than 200 checks issued to me or my business disappeared in early 2017. By XXXX, they were discovered and by XX/XX/2017 traces completed. All items had been deposited into a Wells Fargo account created by Identity Theft but to which I was denied access to any information regarding the account, who was involved etc. A Police Report was filed with XXXX Police in XXXX of 2017 and a claim made with FDIC. To my surprise, the onsite manager of my Bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX, interfered with successful resolution by reporting the items had been previously deposited to my XXXX XXXX XXXX account by Scan. The OCC ruled the items never deposited by any means to my XXXX of XXXX account and therefore my claim for Deposit Insurance didn't apply but in the process verified the checks were never in my possession. I still have no information about the account so I may press my rights regarding exposing and stopping the Identity Theft and at the very least making available the means by which the monies can be repaid.

Complaint: I am writing to request your help. I am a victim of identity theft. I tried to solve this matter with Wellsin the past. Back on XX/XX/XXXX, they received a demand for validation letter from me delivered via certified mail, since they are reporting accounts with FRAUDULENT CHARGES. As of today they have failed to provide me with the proof I have lawfully requested. These accounts with fraud charges being reported to the credit bureaus is a violation under the FCRA. Accounts are the following : 1 ) WF CRD SVC XXXX. Opened Date XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX Credit Limit {$700.00}. Balance {$0.00}. Status : Closed. 2 ) Wells Fargo Opened Date XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Limit {$5000.00}. Balance {$0.00}. Status : closed. 3 ) WELLS FARGO BANK AUTO # XXXX Date Opened XX/XX/XXXX. Closed Date XX/XX/XXXX. Original Balance {$18000.00}. Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I contacted my bank Wells Fargo and informed them that my phone was stolen from my car and that I have purchased a new phone and changed my username and password to protect my account and that I received an email stating that someone was trying to access the card free atm but was unsuccessful. I informed them that other than that I had no suspicious activity and no unauthorized transactions and was advised to change username and password to prevent any future attempts and Also to call them back if I notice anything unauthorized. Two days later on XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo disabled my online account. When I called in to get my account enabled they informed me that my account was under review and that they had no further information. 4 days later they made a business decision to end my relationship with the bank. With out any reason. I did as I was supposed and informed all my financial institutions of my stolen device. And that although my device was stolen I had no unauthorized activity on any of my accounts. But Wells Fargo decided to punish me for my phone getting stolen and then closing my account saying I could never be a customer ever again

The transaction summary that was sent thru the portal also confirms that wells Fargo has only credited my balance since XXXX XXXX -I have been reporting to cfpb and the Occ that wells Fargo dealership and wells Fargo bank XXXX XXXX XXXX etc regarding numerous issues THIS 1 IS regarding my car loan agreement I entered into thru Wfds in XXXX XXXX XXXX which I have requested copies of both the loans for FRAUD REVIEW. NO CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS sent to me as Of present date. This complaint is another appeal I have submitted to the consumer financial protection bureau regarding wells Fargo denial to give me the true facts in my auto loan of XX/XX/XXXX purchase of XXXX XXXX XXXX from a car dealership in XXXX SC. I applied for 39 HAMP Modifications. Yet I was denied 37 Modifications although, I was approved by XXXX XXXX and Hamp? 2. I was placed in Foreclosure in XX/XX/XXXX by Americas Servicing Company despite Evidence that I was in Good Standing. I received information from Wells Fargo stating that in XX/XX/XXXX I owed XXXX. In fact I paid the money upfront to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and when they entered Bankruptcy because of illegal practices the loan was sold several times in which the previous companies recognized payment and on time status. WHY WAS I PLACED IN FORECLOSURE FOR NON PAYMENT DESPITE THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE EVIDENCE THAT I WAS NOT? PLEASE EXPLAIN. 3. Wells fargo and ASC ( Who is owned by Wells Fargo ) placed me in foreclosure since XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX ... .. and offered me a Modification in XX/XX/XXXX. YET, WHILE IN FORECLOSURE YOUR POLICY STIPULATES THAT CUSTOMERS CAN NOT MAKE PAYMENTS WHILE IN FORECLOSURE. AS a result, WELLS FARGO/ASC ATTACHED {$500000.00} to MY LOAN. COMMON SENSE SAYS THAT I WASN'T IN FORECLOSURE I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DENIED ACCESS TO MAKING PAYMENTS. THE ARREARS GREW NOT BECAUSE I WAS IN DEFAULT BUT BECAUSE WELLS FARGO PLACED ME IN DEFAULT AND PAYMENTS AND INTERTEST GREW AND I WAS CHARGED FOR IT WHY? 4. WELLS FARGO WAS INFORMED BY THE INDEPENDENT FORECLOSURE REVIEW THAT I SHOULD RECEIVE A Modification without restrictions for the following mortgage abuses : Redlining, Predatory lending ( 10 % interest rate, illegal Balloon Payment Rider, Computer Glitch which denied me and thousands of other customers Modifications and numerous other crimes ETC. ). Yet, Wells Fargo refused to honor the Modification. WHY? Clearly the Federal reserve board who investigated the loan knew what they uncovered. Yet Wells Fargo sends documents and refuses to Answer the questions. WHY? 5. Where did my {$37000.00} worth of payments Go? And why weren't they applied? 6. Why was I placed in Foreclosure when you clearly had the payments?

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 I made a purchase through XXXX to the plug closet which was an online boutique. On XX/XX/XXXX I placed an order with them for a wallet and a handbag which totaled to {$280.00}. By XX/XX/2019 I still had not received any merchandise from them even though I was told it was 5 to 10 processing days plus 2 day shipping. Between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I have reached out to the company over and over again to try and see if my merchandise was on its way if I were going to be receiving merchandise or if I was just going to get a refund. The company and I finally decided that I would receive a refund between 7 to 10 business days and I still have not received anything from them to this day! I reached out to my bank Wells Fargo to see how they could help me with this transaction since I sent my money through XXXX through Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo told me that there was nothing they could do to help me because they see it like a cash transaction even though there's proof that I sent the amount of {$280.00} to the company. I reached out to Wells Fargo once again to see if they could help me with this transaction and I have an open claim with them now for the second time! I really feel like that I'm not getting any kind of help with any of this so I'm coming to you to see what we can do to resolve this.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I was approached online via email from a person wishing to purchase art from me. I agreed to create art for them and they sent me a check in the mail. The check had several security features and appeared to be from a reputable source. I deposited the check into my Wells Fargo checking account. Part of the money sent was to be for a shipping agent who was supposed to pick up the art from my home. Once the check cleared ( or appeared to clear ), I sent {$1800.00} to her shipping agent via online payment services. I also ordered her canvases from my printer. She then canceled her order and asked for a refund. Since the funds had appeared to clear, I processed her refund for about another {$1000.00} total. The check bounced after I paid her the refund which resulted in my account being overdrawn in excess of {$3000.00} including fees. Im on social security XXXX and only make about {$700.00} a month. The bank never should have made the funds available if the check was bad. I went into the bank and asked what I could do and they said there was nothing I could do but pay the {$3000.00} to get my account back in good standing. They are also charging daily overdraft fees. Its an unfair banking practice. I did nothing wrong, in fact they said they made the funds available because Ive never bounced a check and have been a good customer. Im scrambling trying to open a new account for my XXXX benefits to be deposited into each month. Until I can do that I have to have social security send paper checks, a major inconvenience when I did absolutely nothing wrong. I have also reported the person of the transaction that scammed me to the consumer protection agency.

Complaint: Wells Fargo has used the past national scandal involving widespread abuse of the application process by its representatives to practice widespread discrimination -- according to the perceived ethnicity and/or racial background of applicants over the phone -- in the form of a policy of doing hard inquiries on consumer credit files in connection with any and all applications for Wells Fargo consumer financial products, without having any intention to compete the application, until and unless the applicant phones in. Long before I adopted my recent practice of freezing my credit files, Wells Fargo has always been the only financial institution I have ever encountered that consistently requires me to phone in to verify my identity in connection with an application of any kind, which I have been informed today by a Wells Fargo representative is standard procedure with Wells Fargo. Although Wells Fargo will doubtless claim that this is a means for Wells Fargo to address past widespread abuse of the application process by Wells Fargo representatives, it also serves ( intentionally or not ) to provide Wells Fargo with an opportunity to practice widespread discrimination based on the perceived ethnicity and/or racial background of applicants over the phone ( I myself am of XXXX-Descent ). By way of example, my application for a VISA Cash Wise Credit Card ( Reference # : XXXX ) was declined over the phone today ( I had received an email from Wells Fargo last night indicating that I needed to phone in for my application to be processed, 22 minutes before I got an email notification from XXXX that my credit file had been accessed by Wells Fargo ), supposedly because I have too many unused credit cards. Although it is conceivable that this could be a legitimate reason for declining a credit card application, it is one that I have not previously encountered or heard of in 20 years as an avid e-consumer. More to the point, it is blatantly fraudulent for Wells Fargo to have a policy of doing hard inquiries on consumer credit files in connection with applications for a consumer financial products without having any intention to actually process the application until and unless the applicant phones in. Of particular concern is an application I submitted online on XX/XX/2017 for Wells Fargo Ways2Save and Everyday Checking accounts ( Reference # : XXXX, in response to a Wells Fargo flyer sent to me by U.S. Mail ). The application was immediately conditionally approved via email pending my return of a signed & dated standard Consumer Account Application form, only to have Wells Fargo send me a second email 10 days later requiring me to phone in for my application to be processed, which I did not do, since I suspected it was a ruse on the part of Wells Fargo to use the national scandal involving pervasive fraudulence on the part of its representatives as a pretext for practicing widespread discrimination -- and which I phoned in today specifically to confirm ( I only unfroze my credit files yesterday through the end of next month because I am in the process of moving and have no plans to apply for any more consumer loans or financial products of any kind ).
