Complaint: Volkswagen Credit ( also known as VW Credit and XXXX XXXX , XXXX ) advertises that they have no pre-payment penalties for early payment of principal on car loans they provide. What they do not advertise is that there is no way to self-service this pre-payment ( via an online portal or webpage ) ; in fact the ONLY way to apply a pre-payment to principal at VW Credit is by calling in to their 800 number and even then, only by speaking to a live representative. This number routinely takes over 20 minutes to reach a live representative. VW Credit has proven their disregard for American laws and regulations, and now they are materially impacting the ability to pre-pay their loans by enacting systematic and process-driven blockers in an effort to drive more interest revenue ( NOTE : prior to XX/XX/XXXX overpayments were automatically applied to principal ).

Complaint: VW Credit account XXXX The payments on this account have been reported and changed over and over. It had showed payments on time after disputed and then it changed again to show negative payment history. The reporting has been inconsistent over the several months that I have been trying to get in corrected. Each time VW Credit says the account has been verified. Clearly it is unverified because the payment history changes every month and is being reported differently to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX.These errors are negatively affecting my credit score, my ability to obtain credit, and my reputation. VW Credit has had more than enough time to correct or delete this information. According to the FCRA they continue and knowingly are in violation and can be held accountable for actual and punitive damages.
I have asked the creditor to provide physical proof and verification of the payment history on numerous occasions and they have failed to verify this information but continue to report it inconstantly to the credit bureaus. It obliviously cant be correct and verified when it keeps changing and is not being reported the same to all bureaus.
The last payment that they are reporting was made from XXXX XXXX on a payoff. It was based on a 10 day payoff and was submitted in plenty of time to be on time and should not be showing late.
I demand that these specific and unverified information be corrected immediately!

Complaint: I had an account with VW which was paid off by the Dealer in XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. I had to include it in Bankruptcy because the account was still open with all 3 credit reporting agencies.
I have consistently tried to remove the late notice in XX/XX/XXXX because at the time I did not have the vehicle since it was traded in at XXXX XXXX in XXXX Fl.
I contacted XXXX over the phone because they do not allow me to dispute online as is my right. They have me blocked. I told them the account was never late.
As a result XXXX updated the account as a charge off on XX/XX/XXXX in error. I tried calling them and explained I had no lates for about 4 years and they told me the score dropped because of XXXX charge off. This was false information. The report dropped because they updated the report to show VW Credit as charged off in XX/XX/XXXX making my credit score drop 24 points as well as my credit rating from Good to Fair for being late .1 years - IN ERROR. I could not dispute online. THis caused my denial of credit. I can not wait 30 days for them to fix their grave mistake. The account has no activity since XXXX. Yet, their ineptness added it as a recent negative which made my score drop 24 pts. This is in addition with their taking the XXXX account and counting it as 6 accounts late rather than 1 account in their scoring model.
They investigated both the XXXX and VW incorrectly and now I am being penalized. I also am complaining against VW Credit US for attempting to re-age the debt on the account that has been closed without activity for almost 4 yrs.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I want to complain about VW credit for their 1 ) Mismanaged service, 2 ) Excessive wait times, and 3 ) Faulty equipment that makes it impossible to pay by phone.
My wife attempted to make a payment on our VW account. No matter how many times I have authorized her to make payments on this account, VW has denied her.
Which means that every time she attempts to make a payment, she needs to reinput all the numbers on our bank account after waiting an excessively long time.
Today, she waited on her phone over 20 minutes to speak to a supervisor in addition to the 15 minutes to wait for a person to take the account number after their system did not accept the account number punched in.
Their attempt to " help '' was to call me during business hours. This is not acceptable as I'm in meetings most of the day. As I already had authorized my wife to make payments by phone, this should not have been an issue.

Complaint: My daughter purchased a XXXX XXXX earlier this month. I co-signed on the loan with VW Credit. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, i received the first payment invoice, which VW credit gave a due date of XX/XX/XXXX. They also advised, on the invoice, that i should allow for 5-7 days for mailing to ensure payment is delivered by the due date.
I called VW Credit, spending over 30 minutes on hold, to request a reasonable amount of time. They told me i would have 10 days after the due date ( so, XX/XX/XXXX ) to submit a payment. Given the intervening weekend, and giving allowance to the 5-7 days i was advised, this payment would have to be mailed by this Friday, XX/XX/XXXX.
VW Credit ( XXXX XXXX XXXXl ) stated that if we made payment within 10 days, we wouldnt be charged a late fee. I requested that they provide that assurance in writing instead of just verbally, they refused, and then stated that they couldnt. They said i should have known that the payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX, as it was in the contract. While this may be true, they did not provide the means for which to make a payment until i received this payment invoice today.
XXXX continued to tell me everything was in the contract, but abjectly refused to listen or cooperate. I was never disputing what was in the contract, but the unfair and deceptive execution by VW Credit of its obligations under the contract to provide us the means to make timely payments in accordance with the contract without incurring fees ( late fees ) or damages ( credit reporting ). When asked for written assurance, they refused any written assurance.

Complaint: I am a 6 year, 2 car lease customer of XXXX.Despite logging in to pay my XX/XX/XXXX bill, the payment did not post ( 1st time in 6 years ) .Emailed President of XXXX . A " special IT investigation " was launched to see if there is any evidence of logging into pay XX/XX/XXXX payment as the VW Financial Agent " XXXX '' said that if they see I logged in on the day I said that would show intent and that would substantiate that I tried to pay my bill. They called me and said the report shows I did login like I said I did. However, the report coincidentally stopped short of providing what they deemed necessary to show " intent ''. They said the report shows I logged in on the same day I have for XXXX past 6 years. However, they didn't release anymore info and closed the case. I requested a copy of the " IT Investigation '' report. They then stopped returning my calls. I feel not only are they hiding information needed to clear report, but they are also retaliating for a prior lawsuit I had with them in which I prevailed. My credit has seriously suffered due to this incident. I want to subpoena the reports and clear this false late payment.
Based on their logic they are saying the following : I did in fact login as I said I did on the same day I have for 6 years prior to pay my bill. However, this time I intentionally decided to not pay my bill after logging in, ruin my long standing perfect line of credit with them, and logout.
This is ludicrous. I now can't purchase a home as I intended this year, a new car since my 2nd XXXX is up in a couple months, etc etc. This is not right and I want this false report removed from my account.

Complaint: I have leased a vehicle in good faith from XXXX using XXXX XXXX XXXX.
In XX/XX/2017 I acquired financial difficulties. In order to resolve those, I am working on reducing the cost of vehicle leasing.
When I attempted to make the changes to my XXXX lease, I encountered unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices on behalf of the XXXX XXXX : I can not obtain a transparent PAYOFF amount for my lease, like I have with my XXXX, whereas I log on to the website sign in to my account, and see it openly.
With XXXX, I cant access that information on my secure XXXX Account, where I make payments etc. There is a statement that claims I have to go to the dealership to obtain the payoff. Instead I called, and got an outrageous number by which the original price of the vehicle would be ten to fifteen thousand dollars above the actual price. So I requested in writing an explanation from XXXX XXXX. They responded to my letter with a phone call, stating that in the State of Florida they can not disclose .... blah blah blah ... That is totally illogical, as I am the one in debt, and need to know my numbers.
I am fighting XXXX for over two weeks, with calls and letters that get me nowhere.
Also, as I attempted to transfer my lease with one of the online companies, I learned that XXXX does not allow me to transfer in the last 12 months, ( I have 11 remaining ) which makes it brutal.
So : I can not sell my vehicle to XXXX or XXXX since the " Payoff '' I received is illogical ( shy of {$36000.00} while the XXXX XXXX value is in the {$29000.00} 's ) and seems arbitrary but no explanation of how XXXX reaches that number, while in an advertisement, XXXX offers me to take off all of the upside down number with discounts and bonuses, if I can get " hooked '' on another VWXXXX product.
I am being subject of non transparent, abusive and unfair practices and wish to raise my voice.

Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: In XX/XX/2018 we were referred to XXXX XXXX by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The XXXX authorized person at the dealership worked out a lease deal for us that would give us payments of about {$390.00} per month. The lease was no money down, no first month 's payment, and no security deposit which is a standard XXXX deal. The lease term was 48 months with a residual value of {$18000.00} and a 10,000 mile per year. Well before we drove the two hours to get to the dealership I submitted the online application and BOTH XXXX XXXX and Volkswagen Credit ran my credit report as a hard inquiry. We had provided a deposit to hold the car when they confirmed the lease and payment and they said that would either be applied to the lease to further reduce our {$390.00} payment or we could have it refunded. We arrived at the dealership to pick up the car which we had been assured several times was ready and all we would have to do was " sign and drive. '' That turned out to be a lie. The dealership said they could not verify my income ( I am a XXXX employee and I had already provided my past three Earnings and Leave Statements ) Then I was told that I was not allowed to use my rental income then they told me it was not necessary. Then they ran hard credit inquiries three more times which by the end trashed my credit score and then came to me and told me because they could not " verify my income '' and because I had so many hard inquiries the only way they could make the " deal '' was to add an extra {$120.00} the the payment ( going from {$400.00} per month to {$520.00} ) and they would now require that I pay {$1200.00} up front and have a higher payment than what was promised. They also claimed that they could not verify that I had any previous car loans -- although I had a lease with XXXX that was paid off early and still shows up in my Volkswagen online account. The other was an actual car loan through XXXX that was paid off in advance also. The series of lies were designed to increase the cost of the vehicle significantly -- {$6200.00} over the term of the lease. We were told our deposit would not be refunded if we did not complete the deal because they had taken the car out of stock and held it for us.

Complaint: In XXXX, I lease an XXXX XXXX and the financing for the lease was through XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I traded-in the XXXX and started a new lease for a XXXX XXXX XXXX. The paperwork was finalized and I owed nothing on the lease and only owed my first month payment at signing. The paperwork was finalized and XXXX XXXX XXXX took back the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The first week of XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notice that my XXXX XXXX payment was late. This car had been purchased back by XXXX XXXX XXXX several weeks earlier in exchange for my new lease XXXX XXXX. I tell XXXX XXXX XXXX the situation and they state that XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Texas has not sent them the payoff. They have had the car for about a month at this point and I have no possession and have traded it back to them via all paperwork that was signed XX/XX/XXXX when XXXX XXXX was purchased. XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Texas tells me that they are backed up getting the payoff information to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I ask them if this will be reported to the Credit Bureaus. I can not get a confirmation that this will not be reported to the bureaus since I do not own the car any longer and XXXX XXXX XXXX is slow to get the payoff to XXXX XXXX I continue to get late notices from XXXX XXXX XXXX even though I have told them XXXX XXXX XXXX has possession of the vehicle and I traded it back to them with the purchase of my new vehicle. I am now in the process of trying to figure out if the late payments have been reported to the Credit Bureaus and to dispute the information if necessary. Due to XXXX XXXX XXXX 's negligence my credit history my be at risk. This is an issue that others considering lease financing and working with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX need to be aware of in the future.
