Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: hello, the following cc company ( VW CREDIT ) are reporting the wrong information on my credit report. I have never been late or missed a payment, yet they have me showing 30 and 60 day late. the problem I have is that the last report date and active date and payments dates are all inaccurate. each of the 3 cb are showing something different. they only report what they are giving. so with that being said whos to say the information that im 30 days late isn't an error on the creditors end. I would like them to fully investigate the problem and make the correct changes to there error.

Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finish
Complaint: I have a XXXX XXXX lease from VWCredit bought in XXXX, California. My lease ended XXXX XXXX, XXXX. With my lease i had bought excess wear and tear protection for ( XXXX $ ) which covers damages upto XXXX .
Fast forward ( during XXXX to XXXX ) : we had multiple incidents on our right side of the car in our XXXX XXXX XXXX parking lot. Next year : we moved to XXXX, WA and as the lease was getting over i had a series of questions with the VW credit folks.
1 ] I was confirmed by 2-3 reps multiple times that my damages will be covered as the lease return pre-inspection report confirmed damage repairs of XXXX . This was also confirmed by the 3rd party Pre-Inspection. I had clearly mentioned that i would like to keep the car incase the wear and tear protection does not apply to the car but i was confirmed that this will not be the case.
2 ] Reps at VW dealership in XXXX ( XXXX 's XXXX of XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX also confirmed that the damages will be covered by the wear and tear protection and you are safe to leave the car 3 ] When i got my first bill from VW after i returned the car, it came with XXXX $ bill and they missed applying wear and tear protection 4 ] Upon asking, they confirmed it missing so they send it to their wear tear protection department and after 20 days, i got another bill which reduced the bill by XXXX+ XXXX This got the bill to XXXX $ upon inquiring why the full was not covered : they confirmed that the 3rd party who looks into wear and tear feels like this was a one incident and hence will not cover full damage.
It took me 3-4 phone calls to again check on the status and provided good amount of reasoning why the assumption of single incident was flawed and why the damages took multiple incidents but its still not working out.
The rep offered me good will discount of another XXXX+ $ and pro-rated plan to pay XXXX $ a month. ( this was so nice of him ) But i think they are missing the commitment to resolve customer issue.
I would love to get help on this and challenge the assumption that the damages were done in single incident as opposed to multiple one. They confirmed if that's proved, the charges will be XXXX. The assumption is clearly flawed as a ) there is no symmetry on the damage on both the front and back sides b ) the damage in the center area near the doors has far greater intensity than any other areas, clearly suggesting that there were multiple occurrences. I am happy to send snapshots of the parking place where this happened more than 1.5-2 years back.
Thanks for looking into this matter. Hoping to get your help to resolve this.
Attaching photos front side, middle and back side as well as the parking lot area where the incident happened.

Problem with additional products or services purchased with the loan
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Audi Financial Services to cancel the Gap insurance on my recently purchased XXXX XXXX. I was advised by a salesman at Audi that I should not have been forced into paying for that especially since the warranty was soon to expire and that I can call Audi to have it cancelled. I called and spoke with a customer service representative who advised me that the Gap insurance must be cancelled at the dealership from which I purchased the car. So I called XXXX Audi of XXXX XXXX, CA located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX phone number, XXXX. When I called, I was advised that I had to make the request in writing to the Finance Manager, XXXX XXXX. I had no problem doing this since he has helped me both times when I leased and purchased my vehicle from this location. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent the following email : From : XXXX XXXX Sent : Monday, XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX To : XXXX Subject : Cancellation of Gap Insurance Request VIN # XXXX Good morning, I am writing as a formal request to cancel the Gap Insurance on my XXXX XXXX XXXX, VIN # XXXX. I have spoken to Audi Financial Services and they informed me that I have to make my request through the dealership where I originally purchased the vehicle. Please let me know when my request has been fulfilled.
Kind Regards, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX I did not get a phone call nor a reply. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent the following email with High Importance : XXXX XXXX Tue XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Good morning, This is my second request to cancel my gap insurance on the vehicle listed below. I expect that this request will be completed by COB today. Thank you.
Still, no response. Today is XX/XX/XXXX and I have yet to receive a phone call or email regarding my request yet I know that the request was delivered because I have read receipts. This is unprofessional and very unlike the company Audi that I have trusted for several years, establishing a good relationship and superior payment history. I would like my Gap insurance to be CANCELED, effective XX/XX/XXXX and the check to be mailed to my address which they already have on file. I expect this to be done within the normal 15-30 business days. If not, my next step is to file suit, which is not a route either parties would like to take. Please advise.

Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finish
Complaint: I leased a vehicle from Volkswagen in XX/XX/XXXX, and purchased an Excess Wear policy from Volkswagen at the same time.
When returned the vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX Volkswagen failed to apply my final lease payment to my account. They also applied {$270.00} of excess wear fees to my account instead of claiming those from the policy they sold me, and they refused to provide me with documentation I needed to make that claim myself.
In XX/XX/XXXX they referred my account to a collection agency, with the final lease payment ( that I already made ) still uncredited and with the {$270.00} excess wear still uncredited. In XX/XX/XXXX they finally corrected the final lease payment, 8 months after I paid it. But the account was already in collections, and at the same time they introduced a new payment that they had never before billed me fore. In XX/XX/XXXX they finally mailed me the documents needed for making a claim on the Excess Wear policy.
My demand now is that Volkswagen Credit recall my account from the debt collection agency, recall any reports of overdue or delinquent payments from any credit reporting agencies to whom they have reported this, issue a written apology to me for their inept and malicious handling of my account, and if they believe I still owe them something, deal with me directly in a constructive and responsive manner.

Complaint: VW credit, audi financial intentionally destroyed my credit. The payment may be late but due to unexpected, unforeseen emergency and have been unable to pay current but make sure account doesn't go over 30 day. Payment is paid every month by the same date as reps has mentioned that if paid by 3rd, payment will not report derogatory. Therefore, I make all efforts that payments are paid monthly and by the 3rd. These conversations with the Audi, VW reps were recorded.
VW credit, Auti financial does not attend to serve me accurately as a customer and should correct this inaccurate reporting immediately. VW credit, Audi reported me derogatorily to all credit reporting agencies and I paid by 3rd as I did prior months, however reported this month.

Complaint: i no longer have the original lease documents for this car, but lease origination date, term, and number of payments received are all very clearly visible on my credit report as reported to XXXX and XXXX by VW Credit Inc.
The lease started in XX/XX/XXXX with a term of 36 months. My credit file shows on time payments each and every month through and including XX/XX/XXXX so 36 months, 36 payments due and 36 payments made.
For the time period from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX the loan was reported as Account Status = Closed, Payment Status = Paid/Never Late. For some reason in XX/XX/XXXX VW Credit Started reporting again on a lease that had been closed out for a year and is now showing it as Payment Status = Paid, was a repossession. Repossess a car on a lease which had ended and was paid a year prior?
I don't get it.

Termination fees or other problem when ending the lease early
Complaint: I returned my XXXX XXXX 3 months early ( 39 month lease ) on XX/XX/XXXX as part of a " pull ahead '' arrangement and I signed a new 36 month lease for another car ( XXXX XXXX ).
On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from VW Credit , Inc. ( dba Audi Financial Services, " AFS '' ) indicating that I owed monthly payments on the XXXX and that failure to pay may result in them reporting to the Credit Bureaus. I called XXXX that evening to express my concern about the letter as I did not owe monthly payments on the XXXX as I'd returned it at the end of XXXX.
AFS said that this is a dealership issue and that I should contact the dealership.
The dealership said they submitted all the paperwork to AFS but that AFS hasn't taken care of it because they have computer issues and are otherwise backed up. They even shared a " grounding report '' statement with me that was generated on XX/XX/XXXX.
On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from my bank that my credit score dropped [ xx ] points.
I pulled my XXXX credit report which shows that XXXX was OK and had no Balance or Past Due - this makes sense as XXXX was the last month I had the car. However, XXXX, was noted as 30 days past due.
I immediately called XXXX and sent them the grounding report I received from the dealer. They said they would correct any issues with the credit reporting agencies.
On XX/XX/XXXX I called AFS who said that the credit mark was reversed on XX/XX/XXXX and that I'd receive a letter from AFS.
On XX/XX/XXXX I called AFS who said that I shouldn't have been expecting a letter from AFS ; the letter would be from the credit Bureaus but that he'd generate a new final statement with excess wear and tear costs that I owe on the car.
On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX to see if they received the correction from AFS. They indicated that the last update they had from AFS was XX/XX/XXXX.
On XX/XX/XXXX I called AFS who said my account was sent to the credit team for adjustment, but that it didn't get done. She was going to request it be rushed through within 24-48 hours and she is really sorry. She also said she would note that my account had a complaint.
My understanding of 12 CFR 1022 is that AFS has 30 days to correct misreported data. I called AFS on XX/XX/XXXX and its 58 days later with no action taken to correct their mistake.

Changes in terms mid-deal or after closing
Complaint: On Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX, I went to the XXXX XXXX dealership with a family member who informed me that he had spoken to a sales representative who informed him that they were able to do six-month leases for situations where a co-signer was needed. I want to strongly state that I was opposed to being a co-signer for this person, what made me change my mind was what took place at the dealership. I later learned that this sales person was a friend of the family member and that the six-month lease deal was a ploy they used to convince me to co-sign for him. When I hesitated about signing the lease, the sales person told me that he had bad credit and that a family member had co-signed for him and within six-months his credit had improved and his co-signer was able to get out of the loan. I finally signed the agreement and a month later the family member started defaulting. ( I recently learned on this CFPB site that the creditor VW credit was supposed to provide me a separate notice about co-signing which they did not ).
I contacted VW Credit to try to find a solution about the tactic used to have me sign on to this loan but instead of offering a solution they also participated in unfair and deceptive practices. On XX/XX/XXXX, I learned that they extended the term of the lease without obtaining my consent or signature on XXXX different occasions on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Without my permission they extended the lease from terminating in XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX based on the co-applicants requests without informing me. The co-applicant turned in the car in XXXX of XXXX now I'm being asked to pay {$13000.00} in a XXXX XXXX invoice. My credit is ruined, it was XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX now it's in the low XXXX and now I have this debt that I can not pay.

Complaint: I have an auto loan with VW CREDIT. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report, I called VW CREDIT and they said their system automatically put me on paperless billing, which I did not request. I was awaiting letter in the mail all this time just to find out their system had an error. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and VW CREDIT with no successful resolution. XXXX, XXXX, XXXX only reporting me 30 days late twice. There was an error on their part. I was never 30 days late twice.

Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, without notice, a violent Volkswagen credit XXXXXXXX entered my home, attacked my children, and stole my XXXX XXXX. At this time, my family was facing XXXX retaliation which I shared with VW Credit as well. Also, I always said I would pay for everything that I owe to VW. Moreover, VW Credit XXXX attacked and stole my car when XXXX and XXXX retaliation case was going on in the federal government.
XX/XX/XXXX : Without notice, a violent VW credit XXXX entered my home, attacked my children, and stole my car away. I also called the police.
Volkswagen cheated me and sold me an emission car ( XXXX XXXX )? I have an emission recall statement, VW credit stole my car on XX/XX/XXXX. Then, after depreciating the car for six long months, VW credit claimed that it had sold the stolen car. Based on what happened on XX/XX/XXXX, everyone says it is stolen.
XX/XX/XXXX : I wrote a letter to XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX asking for the explanation on why they attacked my children and stole my car. I have not received any response to my questions from VW Credit yet.
XX/XX/XXXX : I get a bill from XXXX XXXX, a collection agency demanding me to pay {$6100.00} for the automotive deficiency.
On XX/XX/XXXX, without notice, a violent Volkswagen credit XXXX entered my home, attacked my children, and stole my car away. After six months, they sold my car and now asking me to pay {$6100.00}.
VW Credit does not respond to me. VW Credit is using their influence and covering up their crimes. I want my car and compensation for my losses.
Sincerely, XXXX XXXX P.S. There is no option for a lender stealing a car and attacking children in the form, so I selected repossession as the option.

Problem with additional products or services purchased with the loan
Complaint: When I purchased my car I called VW to ask them if for some reason I had to move or leave the country due to work/school, if I would be able to transfer my loan to someone else fully. I was told over the phone that it was not a problem at all. Now I am being told that I would still be listed as the co-owner and responsible. There are too many people giving me different answers and now I may be stuck with a car that I bought based on different information.

Account status incorrect
Complaint: The following correspondence was sent to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ( I have redacted my contact information : I am writing this letter for your assistance with a recently reported 30-day late payment on my account. I have been a loyal XXXX customer for several years and never had an issue with my account that required escalation to this level.
On the XX/XX/XXXX, I accessed the XXXX XXXX website and made a payment as I typically do every month. Everything appeared in order as I submitted the payment and I received no other correspondence ( phone calls or mailings ) after that date regarding my account, so I assumed that everything was fine until Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX. On that date, I received several alerts from my credit monitoring subscriptions that I was delinquent on the account and a 30-day late was being reported to the credit bureaus. Upon receiving these alerts, I immediately tried to phone XXXX XXXX, but unfortunately the office was closed. In addition to calling, I immediately accessed my account online and paid the entire outstanding balance, with the account now reflecting a payment due date of XX/XX/XXXX ( which was also verified today XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX ).
In closing, Im not clear what occurred with the payment on XX/XX/XXXX, but this has been an extremely stressful event for me. I take great pride in having good credit and this problem has caused my credit score to drop significantly ( 100 points ). My lease on this vehicle is due to end in XX/XX/XXXX, and while I was hopeful to remain an XXXX customer, this adverse credit mark will make that difficult.
*** In a short letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX responded that they would not be able to help me and provided me with a phone number to call ( XXXX ) with additional questions. No details regarding what happened to the payment made on XX/XX/XXXX were provided. I have tried to call the above mentioned number numerous times to get clarity on their investigation and have been put on endless holds and informed that there are no details to share. They also continuously quote wrong address information when verifying my account for security purposes ( which I have corrected every call ). This may be why no correspondence regarding the original late payment were ever received, but definitely adds to the confusion and challenges in dealing with this company *** ***XX/XX/XXXX Update*** I tried again today to call XXXX XXXX and determine what occurred to the payment I made on XX/XX/XXXX. The Customer Service Representative that I spoke with again misquoted my mailing address. Initially, she stated that she couldn't assist with any details and that the decision was final. I reiterated that the letter I received on XX/XX/XXXX instructed me to call with questions. She put me on hold for 15+ minutes. When she returned she said that her supervisor said there was nothing they could do, but she would transfer me to the team that could. She then placed me on hold for another 20+ minutes. When she returned to line she said again that they couldn't assist and that the decision was final. When I questioned her further and asked for investigation details, she said none could be furnished. Dealing with XXXX XXXX has been a horrible experience. Again, I have been a loyal customer to them for years and never had a problem, but their company values become clear with this interaction.
