Complaint: I recently paid off my auto loan Volkswagen Credit. At inception of the loan, I was required to send Volkswagen the Ne York title to my vehicle securing the loan. At pay off, I received a letter from Volkswagen Credit stating that I must go to my local Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain a free and clear title, but they did not send me original title back. I do not believe I need new title under New York law but all I need is the original title and the XXXX Lien release document to prove my title is free and clear if I wish to sell the vehicle. By not providing me with the title, Volkswagen credit is causing me to incur undue expense of taking time of work and cost of a replacement title when this is not necessary. I want my original title back to my vehicle from Volkswagen Credit.

Complaint: I discovered that Volkswagen credit reported a 30 day delinquency on my credit report. I disputed it, and XXXX claims they verified the delinquency. I then contacted VW and they assured me the reporting was in error and would be removed. I notified the credit bureaus, who refused to remove the delinquency, despite the fact I saved the voicemail from the manager at VW verifying the delinquency was being removed. I contacted VW and obtained an email AND a written letter verifying the delinquency was being reported incorrectly and would be removed. I mailed a copy of the email and the formal correspondence from VW to each credit reporting agency. They refuse to remove the delinquency because they previously investigated the matter, DESPITE THE FACT I HAVE WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE LENDER INDICATING THE DELINQUENCY SHOULD BE REMOVED. If this is not resolved, I will be forced to proceed with legal action against the credit reports. I seek to have this matter resolved without undue delay and costs.

Complaint: In XXXX of 2007 I left the United States on a religious trip and before I left I called VW credit to explain that I would be leaving and not be in the US to make my car payment, they were helpful over the phone and suggested I use the one time offer of putting that month on the end of my loan. The representative was polite and explained I would fill out a form of which I did and I was very happy with the out come of my call. When I returned the following month to my surprise I had been sent a late payment notice and I was charged a fee and had a negative mark put on my credit. I attempted for many years for them to remove this error of theirs to no avail. I even paid a company to assist me in handling it which they were not able to do.

Complaint: As there are only XXXX characters permitted to describe the issue, I will try to make this brief : I previously filed a CFPB complaint against Volkswagen Credit in XXXX. They offered no resolution in their response as they said they could not find/identify my account. This complaint XXXX XXXX XXXX was in regards to a deficiency balance XXXX claimed was owed ( and which was being reported on my credit reports ) that I claimed was invalid. After nearly 10 months of fighting and providing documentation, Volkswagen Credit finally ( on XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) sent me a letter acknowledging the account was in fact paid in full as of XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I have attached a copy of that letter. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I sent a follow-up letter ( dispute ) to Volkswagen Credit. I have attached that letter as well. As I pointed out in that letter, while I appreciated the removal of the inaccurate deficiency balance, the payment history and account status being reported to the credit bureaus was inaccurate, impossible ( no way to go from on-time to 90-days late in one month ), and incredibly damaging to me. I provided copies of all the credit reports, explained why the reporting was inaccurate, and asked that Volkswagen Credit either correct the payment history and account status OR verify to me that the account history is correct ( as they have previously done when disputed through the credit reporting agencies ) and provide me with a copy of the ledger/payment history as what is being reported is wildly different than what my records show. I received a written response from Volkswagen Credit dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX. That letter is also attached. In that response, Volkswagen Credit acknowledges receipt of my letter and states that an update has been submitted to the credit reporting agency. I was told these changes could take 30 days. So I waited. As of today, the only change has been to XXXX XXXX. The payment history detail has been deleted entirely, yet the pay status still shows as Pay Status : Account Paid in Full, was a Repossession and the account includes the following Remarks : Dispute Investigation Compete. Reported by Grantor. Transferred to Recovery. Paid Repossession. What was transferred to recovery, as there was never a deficiency balance due? Neither XXXX nor XXXX received any update at all to the payment history, Account Status, nor Remarks. Volkswagen Credit is willfully reporting inaccurate information to the credit reporting agencies. I have disputed this inaccurate information through the channels provided by the credit reporting agencies and Volkswagen Credit has verified the information as accurate and correct. I have disputed the accuracy of this information directly with Volkswagen Credit and was told updates would be sent to the credit reporting agencies. This 'update ' was sent to XXXX of the XXXX credit reporting agencies and even that only fixed a portion of the inaccurate data. At this point, the continued reporting of ( and verification of ) inaccurate information in my credit bureau files constitutes a violation by Volkswagen Credit under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I sent Volkswagen Credit a follow-up letter dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX also attached. I demanded either all inaccurate and negative information be deleted from all XXXX credit bureaus leaving a positive/closed account OR the entire trade-line be deleted. That letter was ignored and no changes occurred. I warned Volkswagen Credit I would file a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau complaint, which I would follow with a XXXX complaint and complaints with the XXXX of Oregon ( where they are located ) and Pennsylvania ( where the original transaction occurred ) and that I would also seek any compensation to which I may be entitled under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I do not want things to have to proceed beyond this first step.

Complaint: The VW company does not provide a set date for payment. They change the date monthly on due date. I thought my payment was due on the XXXX of each month. I paid it 29 days late I thought so it would not affect my credit. I was told later, oh it was XX/XX/XXXX. this is not something people have time to do check monthly payment dates. they dinked my credit, even though they didnt have to. they do this in order to jack up the rate per month on your credit and to stop you from buying a car, making it difficult.

Complaint: I recently received a letter from Volkswagen stating that my XXXX VW Passat has been recalled because of the XXXX airbag danger. I contacted them to set up an appointment to fix the dangerous airbag and they do not have the necessary parts. Apparently it might take from 3 months to up to a year or more to fix my car. In the interim, I can not drive it due to the possibility of scrapnel entering my brain, or injuring my children if the airbag deploys. I have 11 months left on my lease and VW will not release me from it. So I am left paying for a car that I can not drive. I tried to trade it in for a safe car, but the dealership wanted me to pay even more than what I owe. So I ca n't drive it, I ca n't trade it in and if I give it back, I still have to pay for something i ca n't use. XXXX and XXXX are at least being classy and giving people loaner cars. VW wo n't supply drivers with loaner cars. VW corporate claims that even though their airbags have been recalled, their cars are safe to drive. I asked them to send me that in writing and they refused. Can your agency help people in my position. I am one of many in this situation.

Taking out the loan or lease

Consumer Loan: Vehicle lease

Complaint: XXXX XXXX my husband XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX received orders that he was to deploy to XXXX by XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Right after we where notified of the deployment I contacted VWCredit in reference to my lease and to find out steps I need to take since my lease was not to terminate until XXXX XXXX. I spoke to a lease representative and he explained to me the steps I needed to take. I faxed my husband 's orders to them and the next day I received a emailed with a form attached that needed to be filled out by a VW dealership and returned to them 15 days prior to turning the vehicle in. So 15 days prior to us departing we took the form to our local VW dealership and had the form filled out and faxed it to VW credit. On the Friday prior to us leaving for XXXX on our way to visit family for the weekend I received a phone call from VW Credit stating after reviewing the orders they discovered that we did not qualify for the XXXX and would be responsible for the remaining 11 months of payments totaling {$5400.00}. After many phone calls I finally was able to speak to the head of VW Credit leasing department. He sympathized with me but said there was nothing he could do. I explained that I have owned XXXX VW XXXX and have been a valued customer. Also I said if we had been told back in XXXX that we did not qualify for the XXXX we could have sold the car and had no out of pocket expenses since the car was in excellent condition with only XXXX miles on the XXXX lease. Well under the allowed mileage. We ended up turning the car in and it will be sent to auction. We will be responsible for the remaining balance not to exceed the {$5400.00} owed. The head of the leasing department agreed that I had been miss informed and given inaccurate information that ultimately lead to our dilemma. But he could do nothing about it. My brother is part owner of a dealership XXXX and told me that is not true, it is a choice that has been made. I 'm very frustrated by the treatment we received and by the fact that XXXX does not apply to all XXXX XXXX and retired government employees XXXX. My husband gave 21 years to the XXXX and now 11 years XXXX. As a civilian he has XXXX 3 times XXXX.
