Complaint: I purchased a XXXX VW Passat TDI SEL XX/XX/XXXX. I took a 0 % interest 60 month loan with VW Credit. I made every month payment timely and was never late. On XX/XX/XXXX, VW announced that they had used " cheat devices '' in their TDI ( i.e Diesel ) vehicles. The intent of these devices was to violate American environmental standards. In particular, to cheat in meeting NOx emission output. VW immediately imposed a ban on its dealers from selling these effected new and/or used TDI vehicles. As a result, TDI vehicles have certainly lost significant value since VW has n't determined how, or if, the vehicles can be repaired to legally satisfy EPA emission standards. The matter is well know and rather than explain it further, I will instead address my complaint. I made a request to VW Credit to suspend additional loan payments until such time that the EPA accepts the remedy regarding the TDI scandal. I purchased the vehicle based on VW 's claim that the vehicle is a " Clean Diesel '' that provided efficient use of diesel fuel in delivering the rated MPG along with EPA complaint emissions standards. The sale was based on a lie and fraud on the part of VW. VW themselves do not deny the wrongdoing. I do not want to continue paying for this vehicle until I know that the vehicle satisfies all the conditions and expectations made to me when I purchased the car.
I cite " 16 C.F.R. Part 433 : Federal Trade Commission Trade Regulation Rule Concerning the Preservation of Consumers ' Claims and Defenses ( The Holder Rule ). I am presently in a position of having to make continued payments for this vehicle in order to maintain my excellent credit ratings even though the vehicle was sold to me under fraudulent and possibly even criminal intent by the manufacturer VW. In addition, it is unknown if there is a fix for this problem. In effect I am being forced to pay for a what might be a worthless pile of junk to preserve a personal attribute that I 've worked hard to create ( i.e. my credit score ). I request your assistance in getting VW Credit to honor my request to suspend future payments until VW and EPA agree to a fix to this mess. I should not be held hostage, I am a victim of a fraud. VW is the perpetrator and probably even the criminal.

Complaint: I made an early payment to my account with Volkswagen Credit on XXXX/XXXX/2015. They had a wrong address on file and I was n't notified of the payment not being processed. I have also had issues with the telephone payment system previously not posting a payment and not allowing me to repeat confirmation numbers. They would not investigate this after numerous attempts to resolve the issue. They stated that they had no record of me calling on XXXX/XXXX/2015 which in response to I asked to send my phone record of having done so. They would not allow me to do so nor would they investigate the issues I had with the billing system.

Complaint: I began leasing a VW XXXX in XXXX 2015. The XXXX month lease payment for XXXX 2015 of {$350.00} was paid and collected at the dealership. The XXXX payment, which was due in XXXX 2015, was submitted as XXXX Time electronic EFT payment via the VW Credit website with payment being drawn from my checking account. At this time, I also set up auto-payment for the lease payment to be debited from my checking account on a monthly basis.
At the time I submitted the XXXX 2015 payment via VW 's online system, I received an email confirmation that the one-time EFT payment was successfully submitted ( I have copy of the email confirmation ). At this point, I assumed that the XXXX 2015 lease payment was paid, and the Auto Payment would begin with the XXXX or XXXX 2015 payments. And, I never received any further email communication that the XXXX payment was not properly processed on by VW Credit. The only email communication I received was the attached confirmation that the payment request was received and scheduled.
I was out of town for nearly three weeks in late XXXX and early XXXX 2015. When I returned in, there was a letter from VW Credit stating that there was a problem processing the XXXX 2015 EFT payment and that I should XXXX-check the bank account information and try re-submitting online payment -- or send a paper check ASAP. I immediately re-submitted the XXXX and XXXX 2015 payments together via VW 's online system and a few days later I followed up by phone to confirm that the payment was received.
In XXXX 2015, I XXXX checked my credit scores in light of the fact that I was planning to apply for a commercial mortgage, and I noticed that my credit scores had dropped from approximately XXXX to the XXXX 's because VW Credit had reported the XXXX 2015 lease payment as being more than XXXX days late.
My credit report has never shown a delinquent or late payment, and my credit score has been historically in the XXXX range. Due to this reporting by VW Credit, my loan application is being priced at a higher interest rate.
Therefore, I am formally appealing this credit reporting action and submission by VW Credit based on the fact that the XXXX 2015 payment was properly submitted by me via VW 's EFT system, and, at the time I submitted such payment, the payment was not 30 days late. I had assumed by the email confirmation that I received that the EFT was submitted and being processed by VW Credit. I received no further email communication that VW Credit was having problems processing the payment request. I also did not receive the VW letter letter until I has returned home in XXXX.
I am requesting that this 30-day Late Notice be rescinded and that the Credit Reporting agencies be informed of this action. I submitted this information to VW Credit on XXXX XXXX, 2015 and requested a correction. On XXXX XXXX, 2015, I received an email message from VW Credit refusing to acknowledge that VW Credit made an error in processing my EFT payment and failed to notify me in a timely fashion.

Complaint: I leased a vehicle at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX. When the lease was up, I paid Volks Wagen Credit balance in full via wire transfer, I requested a paid in full letter which I received. This all transpired XX/XX/XXXX. I decided to sell the vehicle last week, XX/XX/XXXX. I discovered Volks Wagen Credit had a lien on the title, I contacted Vw credit and the said it was XXXX XXXX XXXX problem. I called XXXX they said it was Volks Wagen Credit mistake. I called VW credit again and they said they sent the release to the DMV and it would be two weeks! I lost my buyer, and now I 'm told I need to go to DMV and request Title. I paid in full {$15000.00} and a year and a half later they still have a lien! How many vehicles to they reposes with a false lien?????? I have to take a day off work to go to DMV and find another buyer.

Complaint: My complaint is against VW Credit. I opened a loan at a VW dealer with them on XX/XX/XXXX. The dealer is another story which has to do with the finance department whose best practices are terrible. They did not even go over the paperwork with me which is why i got, excuse me, screwed. If you think that would be a good complaint, then please let me know. But for now, lets just take VW Credit. I worked in the computer banking service bureau environment for over 25 years starting in the late XX/XX/XXXX, so i know all about banking which includes credit bureau reporting. I worked with XXXX and XXXX in the dark ages and know how reporting is supposed to be done. The credit bureau reporting of VW Credit is horrible. It is not consistent ( monthly ) reporting and some fields are inaccurate and field accuracy is different between what they report to XXXX and XXXX. A big problem has been that they keep reporting my monthly payment wrong and also the date of last payment, and did i mention they have sporadic updates? yes i know i did. I have a very good credit rating ( high XXXX ) and have made a couple of bad financial decisions and under normal circumstances, i would not even report this, but these people need some talkin ' to about their procedures. Their monthly statements do not even have a stmt date on them! As for the monthly payment, originally it was {$320.00}, but when i decided they screwed me on the Extended Warranty and Gap insurance ( this was a 3 year lease that came back that i bought ), that was taken off and it went to {$270.00} and every since it has been reported wrong. It is all wrong and i have the copies of the credit reports to prove it. Like I said, this has been exasperating to me. I am at the point where they told me now I have to send them a letter to be sent to the upper management. A special letter. This was after XXXX or XXXX attempts to have them correct their procedures. I also must say that this has made me go to a credit union and I am in the process of taking the loan away from this probably by next week. I talked to a CFPB agent and she told me that would not matter. This is a HUGE lending company and they are so far out of compliance it is not funny. So I will follow what i am supposed to do next to provide the documentation. Thank you.

Complaint: My daughter wants to return her vehicle 7 months early and payoff the remaining payments on her lease. XXXX is now telling us that we could be responsible for the difference between what they can sell the car for at auction and what the residual value is. Therefore, I will be at their mercy and could wind up with a bill of {$5000.00} or more. We are totally at the their mercy. I have turned in leased cars before and have never experienced anything like this. They have absolutely nothing to lose. Sell the car for {$5000.00} and stick the consumer with the difference. I do not know how this practice is actually legal. I want all consumers to be aware of dealing with VW and what you can possibly be up against.

Complaint: I had a lease through Volkswagen Credit. I was unfortunately in XXXX different car accidents this year ( XX/XX/XXXX ), and the XXXX accident totaled my car. It was declared a total loss. My biggest concern is that I am being charged for things that I am not responsible for ; like excise taxes and payments that were covered by GAP insurance. The town I live in has told me that VW credit handles tax abatements in cases like mine or similar and VW has informed me that I should pay them ( VW ) for taxes and then get an abatement from my town hall in XXXX, MA. I have learned that it is not my responsibility to pay the excise taxes because the car was totaled, I am only responsible for the insurance deductible amount stated in my policy.
Not only have I been billed in excess of these, I have been charged late fees as well. My credit is being reported to incorrectly as though I am late and not paying my lease payments on time.
The car was totaled in XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX, before any payments were due that month. My car insurance and XXXX have already worked out a settlement and my GAP coverage has paid what should have satisfied the lease agreement entirely, leaving me with only a {$500.00} deductible remaining. Instead I am being billed over {$1000.00} ( {$1000.00} ) for supposed past due amounts and late fees as well as excise taxes for XX/XX/XXXX.
As I said earlier, this was the XXXX accident this year, and I also had a payment agreement which deferred the payments from when my car was being repaired to the end of my lease. I did not have my car for over XXXX months, and was unable to make the XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XX/XX/XXXX payments, or it was the XXXX and XXXX payments which were the deferred ones. Never the less, the GAP coverage was responsible for paying these, as it was through my auto insurance and I was current on all payments at the time the car was totaled.
XXXX I have had to pay extra money to make payments through XXXX or XXXX XXXX. And I was still reported as late on my credit reports. I made the payments needed to satisfy the deferment for my account. Also since it was declared a loss before the payment due date the month of the XXXX accident I should not owe a payment for that month. And once again, the town I live in has said it is VW who applies for the tax abatement and not me.
Please help as there are so many issues here and I can not seem to get anywhere with them.
Once again these issues are:1. Excise taxes which I am being told to pay and then apply for an abatement for.
2. GAP coverage that was already settled, yet I am being billed more than my share of it, which should be only my deductible amount, or {$500.00}.
3. Late payments being reported when I have copies of my deferment agreement and have made payments to satisfy that agreement.
4. Late fees that I am being charged, when it was solely between VW Credit and XXXX XXXX XXXX what the negotiated and final payment amount would be. VW has received this payment and are still billing me for more than I am liable for or responsible for.
5. It is my credit being ruined, and not for late or missing payments, only false late fees on payments already made, deferred or never due.

Complaint: I purchased a new Volkswagen on XXXX XXXX, 2015 and financed it through VW Credit. I financed for a long term but knew that I would pay ahead. To date I have made XXXX payments and they are not reflected on their web site. First I was told that the site was unable to show balance due and payments but I could request an email from them for this information. When I told them this was unacceptable and that the information should be available at all times they said it would not be available until I had made XXXX on time payments. I financed my last vehicle through a credit union and this information was available at any time at their web site. Withholding this information is just not acceptable.

Complaint: It all started with inquires!
Excessive -adjectiveMore than is necessary, normal, or desirable ; immoderate.
In 2012 I was in the market to purchases a vehicle. The XXXX XXXX XXXX was the vehicle of choice.
I wo n't bore you with the XXXX shameful hours I spent at the dealership. This practice should be banned. Never the less I purchased my vehicle and I was on my way.
I was a successful XXXX. Highly educated! The go to guy for all things. However I could n't get a handle on credit and what it was doing to the American consumer. So I started a business.
XXXX XXXX and XXXX Literacy!
I want to know everything I could about FICO vs.Fake'O! All the acts protecting consumer 's rights! I had nothing but time on my hands.
I was paying my car note on time. Settling all debts! Restoring my good name and building a business which addressed my credit concerns and issues, as well as others.
In this economy, credit is more important than ever before. Credit scores are a misrepresentation of a true credit history! Good credit may have qualified you for mortgage years ago may not merit an auto loan today. This is a result of industry misleading consumers ; redirecting consumer 's attention to a number ; not the data or information which is used to make a financial product or service available.
All my life I have been the guy who could get it done. If I could n't do it, I found a way or there was no way! So this undertaking was just the task for me.
I became a independent agent for a financial education company, which gave me access to vital resources and tool along with stating my business. Using the internet and a variety of other resources I began to understand the connection between SSN, our economy, the financial system, income inequality and a host of practices which have distorted the hopes and dreams of so many Americans.
Do n't get me wrong! I had my challenges early on in life. Who has n't! We are Americans, we wrote the book on this issue related to credit and debt.
As I mentioned early on, all I need was time, to allow a positive history to emerge before looking for a business loan.
Some XXXX months had passed and I was ready to secure that business loan. Positive payment history, settled debt, XXXX inquires and a credit score in the high XXXX range. I would have to pay a bit more for my loan, which I understood work was still need. The business loan was going to be the additional work needed to propel me over the XXXX mark.
In XXXX I believe it was. I approached XXXX for a business loan to my surprise I was denied. So I requested a copy of my credit report from all XXXX Consumer Reporting Agencies. What I was once I received my credit report was outrageous!
XXXX credits inquire all my credit. Mind you, XXXX different credits inquire an each reports. All do on the same day.
I was beside myself! So I reached out to XXXX XXXX, Volkswagen Credit and to expect they gave me the XXXX. More or less telling me to XXXX! There was nothing they could do about it. Lenders see the inquires as XXXX inquiry.
If that were the case I would have had only XXXX inquires on my credit report because, I had did my due diligence months before looking for a car. Which I had only XXXX inquiry on my credit report!
Life had never been the same because of the excessive inquires! I was left with no other option but to take matters into my own hands. The results have been slow, however worth the time.
I 'm reaching out to you today for your help. The wrongs of XXXX XXXX, Volkswagen Credit and dealerships, are egregious and unlawful. They have nearly ruined my life. However i can weather the storm. The financial lives of the American consumers is what keeps me up at night.
I 'm still unable to obtain a loan, because of their actions and abuse of the credit system.

Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX to get options to trade in my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX lease. I was over mileage so the dealership offered me to put a {$2500.00} down payment on a new lease with {$340.00} a month that we hassled with incessantly but they said I had so much in overage that this was the best I could do. I relented but agreed. Months later I start getting letters from VW credit saying that I did n't satisfy the amount owed on my prior lease. The dealership told me that when I got my new vehicle the reason I was putting so much money down was because I was so much over and it turns out they lied and had not satisfied my lease. I reached out to the finance manager XXXX several times, he asked me to get an invoice from VW I sent it to him via email and tried to call and follow up several times and have not heard back. Not considering my many phone calls that he ignored on email I reached out on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and since then when he did n't respond I have been Corresponding with XXXX XXXX sending her the email on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I have called XXXX several times which I can document at least 9 times and have only received responses 3 times. I am now in collections thanks to their finance team at a time when I 'm looking to purchase a home among many other changes I 'd like to make. I demand that they honor what they told me and satisfy my outstanding balance, that they write a letter to the credit collection agency stating this was an error and I receive a satisfaction letter stating that it is being removed from my credit and it will not affect my credit rating. If both of those conditions are not fully met I will most definitely file a lawsuit, and if lawful, seek out other plaintiffs who must have had this same experience since there is an apparent culture of making false promises to churn over clients hoping that they 'll pay the excesses they lied about covering so they can make bonuses as a high volume dealership.
