Complaint: My lease XXXX XXXX was in accident on XX/XX/2018. I reported the accident to my XXXX XXXX ( within 2 hours after returning from the hospital ). XXXX followed up from that point dealing with Toyota Financial loss department. They issued a payment check to Toyota for the lease car ( XX/XX/2018 ). Toyota then proceeded with their internal resolution process for loss cars. I was told they would contact me once completed. They competed it in XX/XX/2018. I started receiving phone calls from Toyota around XX/XX/2018 re their resolution result. I never received any letters from Toyota re completion just phone calls. I returned their call and was told that that my lease insurance ( GAP ) was only responsible for a payment of XXXX and I would have to pay them XXXX to complete the entire process and will thus have a XXXX balance. I contested the TOYOTA GAP insurance payout because it was incorrect ( because Toyota had intentionally have the wrong date for the accident which made the Gap insurance less than it should since they had me noted as not making my monthly payment when the car was already written of. Toyota GAP Ins. agreed they had the accident date incorrect and resubmitted the claim for a corrected determination. I was told by two Toyota GAP customer representatives around early XX/XX/2018, to wait for the claim process to complete again for my payment responsibility after GAP re calculated their liability to so I can resolve the balance. During that claim process Toyota prematurely and erroneously sent my account to collection ( XXXX ). Sometime around XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from the collection agency saying that I owed Toyota XXXX. I was extremely angry at which point I told the debt collector I will call Toyota to resolve this because my GAP insurance claim is still being resolve with Toyota and thus I have no idea, why this account would be sent to collections. In fact, there was not a final payment determination for my portion. I called Toyota who then said that they are no longer responsible and did not help me except to say resolve it with the collection agency. By the end of XX/XX/XXXX. ( maybe early XX/XX/XXXX. ), Toyota GAP insurance finally process the corrected claim ( they were now responsible for XXXX dollars instead of their initial XXXX ) and gave me a final corrected payment of XXXX. I promptly resolved that payment with the debt collector on XX/XX/XXXX. Toyota financial has put my credit history in jeopardy for a mistake made on their end, and during the correcting of their mistake they prematurely sent my account to collections despite assurances that I should wait for the completing of my Toyota GAP insurance claim process. This account was paid and finalize in less than 2 weeks from Toyota GAP insurance GAP claim completion.

Complaint: Using Toyota Financing 's automated phone system, I made my monthly payment. I received a confirmation number. 30 days later, I get call from 'toyota collection ' - you are late. There is now a late fee. Pay. I explain I made payment on their system and I provide my confirmation #. I ask, how can i have a late fee? I ask, why no one told me payment did not go through ( I have learned that basically the confirmation # I get/got from Toyota is useless ). Finally -- - the system there is no way i can be notified if a payment fails ... ... only If i pay using their online system ... .then I would get such a notification but If i use their phone system ... ..no notice. and you get a late fee.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I returned a vehicle to Toyota XXXX XXXX dealership after 3 months of not being able to afford the monthly payment of $ XXXX. I was not provided any type of documentation when I returned the vehicle in XXXX. Two months after the incident, XX/XX/XXXX, the Toyota credit is claiming they sent a statement with some due fees I owed from the returned vehicle. Which, I never received a notice in the mail in XXXX. After I began investigating this matter, I found out about it when i was denied a mortgage application, i called Toyota and they provided me with a copy of that statement that was sent out in XX/XX/XXXX. My account was sent to collections in XX/XX/XXXX, but I was never provided with a statement explaining the charges and my rights to dispute this account. I have never heard of this account from Toyota since XXXX, they do have all my contact information since i currently own a vehicle from the same dealership. I contacted a legal adviser and they explained my rights and they suggested me to start a dispute with the Bureaus and also to dispute the account with Toyota itself due to fail to comply with the law, which states I should of been notified as a consumer when they notified all bureaus about a collection and damaged my credit.

Complaint: I had a XXXX XXXX XXXX plugin leasing car which I returned to XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2018 and at the same time I purchased a new XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX there which was the best option offered to me that day. I really enjoyed my leasing car and kept it very well, replaced with new tires before returning it to toyota. The only damage was the windshield crack caused by a flying stone while driving on the freeway. When that happened, I first checked with my car insurance company and was told that it would be fully covered if I want to fix it. Since it was a leasing car, the insurance company suggested me to contact Toyota. When I called Toyota, I was told that I don't need to worry about that at all because it is not personal damage. Then I didnot bother to let the insurance company fix it. On XX/XX/2018, when we shopped around for a new car at XXXX XXXX XXXX, the persons there again confirmed me that should not be an issue at all and they even told us, if we didnot tell them, they even could not notice that. Happily we returned the leasing car there and got home with a new XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. To our surprise, more than two months after we returned the leasing car at Toyota dealer, we finally received the leasing end statement from Toyota Financial Services ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, IL XXXX ) with a {$1000.00} plus tax {$81.00} for excessive wear and use ( just the windshield replacement ) in addition to the {$350.00} plus tax for the disposition fee. Moreover, they put due date of XX/XX/XXXX, only 13 days after we received the final statement, which is really unfair. Toyota kept informing us before our return and at the time of our return that we don't need to worry about and which is not a personal damage at all. Otherwise we could easily get it fixed by our insurance company for free before the lease car was due for return. According to XXXX XXXX that a windshield replacement typically costs between {$100.00} and {$400.00}, including labor with the average cost ranging between $ XXXX {$230.00}. The estimates from my local body shops are all about $ 200- {$250.00}. It is ridiculous that a car maker needs to charge total {$1100.00} for a windshield replacement. It is hard to believe they scam their customers this way, especially we immediately purchased a new XXXX XXXX at the time of returning the leased car. We really hope you can do further investigation and assist us in resolving the issue.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX of 2012, I went to purchase a XXXX vehicle from the dealership. I had saved up {$10000.00} to make a down payment on the car. The cost of the car was XXXX as advertised online at the time, on the XXXX dealerships website. When I went to purchase the vehicle, I was told that I would need a loan in order to complete the purchase. The dealer set me up with the finance department, and they proceeded to check my credit with XXXX. XXXX denied me for the loan, so the next step was XXXX running my credit thru the Toyota Finance department. I was immediately approved, especially after they knew that I had a substantial deposit amount. The dealership then proceeded draft up a contract. I ended up Financing the car from the dealership. I believe that I was mislead in the pricing and over charged on the interest rate. This lead to me paying double the price for a used vehicle. My initial down payment was absorbed by the company, and When interest was factored in, I would be paying the listing price. I believe that my down payment was pocketed and then the dealers calculated a rate that would end up making me pay the listed price through interest even though I had made a down payment.

Complaint: Since XX/XX/2018, my credit score has been wrongfully dropping every single month due to the wrong information on my Toyota loan. Toyota has been filing a delinquent account when I have been paying on time every single month. I have called them numerous times to fix the issue, and they said that there is no reason why my credit score shows that it is delinquent when it is not. I have disputed these incorrect claims every single month, as it is resolved after my dispute, but then incorrectly claimed as delinquent again after a couple of weeks. I have been given the runaround and feel that enough is enough. My wife and I are in the process of purchasing a house, and these incorrect claims have been hindering our chances of attaining a loan, which has become extremely frustrating and unfair. As a military member in the United States XXXX XXXX, this also becomes a huge ordeal because of the effects it has on my credit score that could ultimately jeopardize my security clearance. Please assist me in these incorrect and wrongful claims so that my wife and I could finally give our daughter the house we worked so hard to finally purchase. Complaint: XX/XX/2019 XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I came to the dealership to purchase a vehicle and they told me they would try to find financing so I waited and sent them all my personal information. The finance manager also asked me to remove the fraud alert from my credit report because he couldn't find financing without it removed which I thought was a bit skeptical. I removed it thinking he would find financing they did a total of 6 Hard Inquiries on my credit report until one day the car salesman calls me and told me when I was going to pick up the car that it was ready. So I went over there and then the dealership did not want to release the car because they told me that they needed a XXXX down payment or the bank would not finance the loan. I was thinking I was going to finance it with my own bank but they used high pressure sales tactics and didn't allow me to use my own financing. I was told that they couldn't give me the car knowing that XXXX XXXX had already paid for the car in which I did not find out until 6 days later when XXXX XXXX mailed me the first car payment stub. So here I was thinking that everything was going to be ok because the General Manager told me that he would reverse the transaction and if not then it would just show on my report as paid. I thought to myself this can't be right because the vehicle is still registered and paid under my name and he kept telling me that the car was never paid for. I knew this was a lie but gave him an opportunity to fix the situation. So here we are now XX/XX/2019 and the car starts reporting on my credit file on XXXX. Now I am getting a little more concerned as to what is really going on with the vehicle knowing that I am being billed and I called XXXX XXXX XXXX which is with XXXX XXXX and they stated that the car was paid under my name and they issued a check for the amount of {$26000.00}. So they got paid under my name and then resold the vehicle 2 days later knowing that they were paid they should have released the vehicle the bank stated to me over the phone in which I have the calls recorded and advised them that I would be recording them for legal reasons. So I asked the General Manager what we would do about the situation and he stated he could not get the vehicle back but he could possibly pay the bank back with the companies check in which I thought was also a bit fraudulent. I have hired legal counsel to move forward with the matter so that I can make sure all of this is resolved fairly and I can move forward in purchasing a vehicle elsewhere.

Complaint: The servicing agent for Toyota Financial Services has paid property taxes on my vehicle when they are not due. They assert that they were billed for property taxes ( they were not ) and as a result, I owe them the amount of taxes they paid on my behalf. The vehicle lease originated in XXXX and there are no property taxes for leases in XXXX. In the state of XXXX, they may be required - I'm not aware as I didn't register the vehicle in XXXX. The origination address on the leased vehicle was in XXXX and the vehicle is for a XXXX XXXX - which is a car that runs on hydrogen gas. Currently, there are only hydrogen fueling stations in the state of XXXX and it doesn't make any sense that this vehicle will ever be registered outside of the state of XXXX. I never provided an updated garaging address but they assert that they were " pinged '' an address in XXXX and as a result paid the taxes. The vehicle has always been garaged in XXXX and has never been registered in any other state. I requested a verification of debt on XX/XX/19 for the property taxes owed since I never registered the vehicle in the state of XXXX. I have not received anything showing me documentation that these taxes are owed - which can only be in error since I never had the vehicle registered in the state of XXXX. I informed them both verbally over the phone and in writing ( see attachments ) They assert that the charges will remain on my account unless I provide them documentation. The burden of proof should be on the lender if they are trying to collect the debt, not the consumer. I provided the latest registration as well as the registration history obtained from the XXXX DMV showing original issue date of the plates and registration transactions on the plates. It is the NOT the consumer 's responsibility to take action on behalf of the lender to correct the lender 's error. I was told that the charges will be left on my account until I provide documentation the prior year registration - I no longer have. As named parties on the registration and title, " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, '' they should be able to obtain this information themselves, especially with the information I provided ( plate ). I've attached screenshots of just written communications and payment history. The latest verbal communication occurred today XX/XX/19, where I was told the charges would be left on my account until I provide documentation - which I took as a threat as they have every power for negative credit reporting and collection of fees and interest. I advised that I have not received anything proving I owe this. I was told that these charges will remain until I furnish additional documentation. I advised that this is not an abatement request since the taxes were never due in the first place. It should be the responsibility of XXXX or their appointed servicer to resolve the issue themselves rather than to have the customer resolve the error they created. To obtain this documentation is a burden as I can't currently afford to go to the DMV in XXXX as I work in the state of XXXX.

Toyota of XXXX stole that car through lying & undervalued it stating it had undisclosed frame damage. Then I was stuck with an upside down car. Toyota Financial refused to change the car payments to match my pay dates then repod the car claiming I never contacted them & gave false amount of time I was behind.
