Complaint: I purchased a car with my daughter from Toyota of XXXX on XXXX XXXX, 2016. Around a week after being approved i questioned the finance terms that were in our loan. The next thing i know they are trying to make me pay to be financed at a lower rate thru a different lender than i was already approved for. I declined the offer for several reasons but now 3 weeks later Toyota calls me saying that Toyota motor credit wont allow my original loan to be processed because I 've been offered a better deal. Fair lending laws wouldnt allow it so i had to sign the new contract. Even though we where not even informed about the terms of the new contract until the day that she called saying my loan wasnt approved. She claimed to have offered to lower the sale price of the car as well as lower the price for the warranties and extra coverages that were included in the car loan while we were talking in her office but she never mentioned any of this to me or my daughter when we sat on her office. All she mentioned was lowering the interest rate to 7.5 % upon approval which would save us {$40.00} a month to equal {$3000.00} over the whole term of our loan. The finance company has done nothing but mislead me at this point as well as attempt to charge me unnecessary amounts of money to get financed for a car. When the finance manager kept insisting that i sign the new agreement i began to feel threatend especially when the she said that she would send somebody to me to get the papers signed by me. Thats when i informed her that i was seeking legal advice. I have attached supporting documents. Please help

Complaint: I previously disputed a Toyota Motor Credit charge off account. The account was resolved/updated with the major credit bureaus. Yet Toyota Motor credit refuses to remove the dispute comments that they have placed on the comments/remarks section of the account with the bureaus. I have made multiple phone calls and sent letters stating I was no longer disputing the account and I did n't object to their findings. Only after the refusal of speaking with a supervisor, being hung up on and laughed at I have to file this complaint.

Complaint: I turned in my XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX and leased a XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX. At the time of negotiating I was advised by the salesman that my excessive miles would be waived since I was a loyal customer. In XXXX of XXXX I received a bill for {$1300.00} for excessive wear and tear and mileage. The dealership never informed me of my right to have a pre-inspection completed. I called Toyota and spoke with a person named XXXX at the XXXX XXXX XXXX department and explained my story. She then informed she would get back to me and I never heard from them again. Today I was called by a debt collection company, XXXX XXXX XXXX and I advised I was disputing this. The collector was aggressive and said she would mail me the contract and since I had nothing in writing from the dealer I owed this. contacted Toyota again and they refused to speak to me since my account was in collections

Complaint: I had a lease on a toyota XXXX and paid regularly until the lease was expired. I turned the car in. A few weeks later I received a bill for {$720.00} for over mileage. I paid the bill that day and did not hear another thing until last week when I received a notice from XXXX XXXX XXXX saying I had not paid the bill and failed to respond to previous requests. That was the first and only collection notice i received. After extensive investigation involving going to my bank, callint Toyota Financial Services, lexus Financial services, visiting both XXXX and XXXX dealerships, we finally figured out that I had, in fact, paid that bill but, since the lease had been terminated, there was no further account. Thus, the payment was applied to another lease on XXXX. But I was never told that nor was there any way for me to tell. Subsequently, I rolled that lease into another XXXX but was never told anything about the fact that the {$720.00} was applied to that down payment. So, after several days, many calls and visits and much aggravation, I called the credit bureau back and paid the {$720.00} again, but extracted a promise that I would receive a letter stating that my credit was cleared and the bill was paid. Instead, I received another collection notice from XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$720.00}. Of course, they are not open during non business hours and I have a day job.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX, toyota dealership in XXXX was where i leased my toyota van. when i. returned the van, the manager went over the van with me wide open and checked everything and it went well. the manager never asked or disclosed anything about any accidents. we then went inside to do another lease but ended up with a purchase because of too many complications. at that point i did not complain because i thought i was getting a better deal since it was a purchased transaction ; however, i went home disappointed because i was really determined and adamant in just leasing a van for my business. after a couple of months, i heard from toyota and they were charging me approximately {$3400.00} for repairs and damages. according to them they found out after thoroughly checking the leased van that i had gotten into an accident and they claimed the repairs were not up to " their standards ''. i then asked them why they had n't inquired at the time of the return and inspection about any problems and concern because if it had been disclosed under that condition, i would have purchased and kept the van as the accident was only superficial damage and not the engine. i did not pay what they were demanding because it was unfair, and also because i had already paid for the repairs when the accident happened. they should have disclosed their position and informed me about it while we were going through the physical inspection.of the van. i tried to reason with them and eventually even hired an attorney to deal with them, but they would not change their position at all. they then reported the claim to the XXXX ( XXXX ) major credit reporting services ... and my nightmare began. i was unable to follow up with XXXX XXXX and the personnel involved because the dealership closed. to date, toyota still refuses to remove the negative report even though it was first posted in 2007. please help.

Complaint: I bought Lexus GS 350 car from a Lexus dealership in XXXX MD in XX/XX/XXXX. At the time of the purchase the dealership also sold me GAP insurance policy issued by Toyota Financial Services at a cost of around {$700.00}. This vehicle was involved in an accident on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and as a result it was declared a total loss. XXXX, the insurance company, paid {$40000.00}, a part of which was paid directly to XXXX Bank to settle the outstanding loan against the vehicle. Between XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX I wrote XXXX letters to " Toyota Financial Services XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, IA XXXX '' to cancel the GAP policy and make a prorated refund because the vehicle is no longer in service. Each time they responded that since you have not furnished all the information, your claim can not be settled. This is wrong because they have been given all the information and documentation more than once. I am repeating all the information here for your ready reference : Toyota GAP Agreement Number XXXX VIN # XXXX XXXX Loan Amount {$51000.00} XXXX outstanding loan paid by XXXX {$17000.00} ( The rest was paid by me ) There is no other information needed by XXXX to settle my claim, yet they refuse to take any action. It is my contention that the GAP policy sold to me by Toyota Financial Services was an act of Financial FRAUD. They had no intention of paying anything if the vehicle in question met with an accident. Toyota behavior is in stark contrast to XXXX which processed my claim within days of the accident. I want CFPB 's help in recovering the cost I paid for this GAP insurance coverage. Also I want the bureau to investigate Toyota for selling a fraudulent product to the consumers. Thanks.

Complaint: My complaint is against Toyota Financial Services. We returned a leased vehicle and got another XXXX except it was under my name. The returned leased vehicle was under my wife 's name. Toyota financial sent us a bill for {$350.00} which was the disposition ( return ) fee. However the return fee was waived since we got another toyota vehicle. Per Toyota Financial request, I faxed them a signed letter ( 3 times ) with the the old and new account numbers by both myself and and wife, I also spoke with numrous accoutn representatives at Toyota Financial. I spent a lot of my valuable time to resolve this issue. Yet, we still get payment demand letters from them and the last letter was from a collection agent. I called back and the representaive did not know how to handle the situation. Please help. Thank you

Bill for chargeable damages received 2 months later, including {$400.00}. for " missing '' cargo cover, actually returned with car in its storage slot beneath the cargo area floor, and about {$300.00}. for paint damage which likely occurred after turn in. Contacted dealer, Toyota Financial Services, and collection agency on several occasions to dispute charges, but they failed to contact me as promised and reported the account to credit agencies.

Complaint: Reference Toyota Financial : Loan number XXXX question is, I have been paying extra on my car loan since we purchase the car in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The question I have is my payment is XXXX and my loan payment will be down to approximately XXXX because I have been paying around XXXX per month since about XXXX4 months ago. I talk to Toyota financial today XXXX XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) and ask them the question of where does the extra money over and above what they credit the amount for example in XXXX they will credit XXXX out of a payment of XXXX and the answer is they carry that overpayment forward and I ask why do n't they apply some to the interest, and the CSR stated on we do n't have to so that leaves the question of why is n't the full amount applied and the interest payment credit because soon I will be in a plus stage of over payments on the car and evidently the extra ( my ) money is setting there accuring interest at Toyota Financial for every overpayment I am making. They also informed me that they could not take extra payments on interest, I would have to send them via mail to a XXXX, IA address because they handle the interest payment and I ask them for a print out of my payment history and they stated all we can do is mail a copy of the original loan agreement to me? The question remains, is the way they are doing there books correct or is it incorrect in terms of applying payment and interest, and letting the extra money set in there acct until eventually there will be enough accumulated to pay off the car ahead of time?
