Complaint: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payment on the dates below : 30 days past due as of XX/XX/2014 I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that when I traded my car in, the company did not pay you in time.

Complaint: I was sold a XXXX in XX/XX/2016, told the car dealership I did n't want to run my credit a bunch of times, was told that would not happen but it was hit 12 times and lowered my score from XXXX to a XXXX. I then bought the car and had a payment due XX/XX/XXXX, I never got a statement from the finance company until XX/XX/XXXX, with a late payment and with interest adding up, I still had gotten no tags or tittle and my car went without tags until XX/XX/XXXX or so, meanwhile I had a late payment on a car I could not drive, the dealership did nothing, I was 80 miles from them so I was n't able to go and make a scene. I am extremely upset but feel I have no options, so here I am so hopefully no one else does this.

Incorrect information on credit report

Credit reporting:

Account status
Complaint: This is in addition to my initial investigation with Toyota Motor Credit that is still in process.. THIS IS A SECOND COMPLIANT.. MY FIRST COMPLAINT IS STILL IN PROGRESS..On XX/XX/2016 my account was reported 30 day late to the credit bureau. I contacted Toyota and spoke to a number of representatives in the call center and a manager who indicated my payment was made via the automated phone system prior to XX/XX/XXXX date of the following month. However, due to XXXX holiday and the company being closed, the payment was posted after the 30 day mark. I disputed this information indicating not only was my payment made within the correct time period but it was not 30 day late and there had to be a system error. I escalated this issue and was advised that the internal system indicates when the date posted ( not made ) and therefore the reporting was correct. I have never been marked as 30 day late and certain the payment was n't late. I was also advised by representatives in the phone center and also a manger who indicated the date the payment is made is the date that is used when reporting a payment. I continued to dispute the information with the Toyota and they continued to advised they had no error. Since that time my information has been reported to the credit bureau incorrectly and XXXX major credit bureaus ( XXXX and XXXX displayed the information differently ). Hence, there is a error within Toyota 's system. That occurence has been and should be documented on my account as that issue is has not been fully resolved. I 'm requesting the 30 day late reporting be removed, and someone take the time to due the leg work to investigate the issue. Just because your system is reflectingsomething is not a indicator that there is no error. To simply go into a person 's account and see what is reported is not looking into the issue. Check to see when the payment was actually made, when it was reported, why was it reported late, how was it made..etc ... Again, the issues with credit reporting continues to validate there is a error with Toyota 's internal system. The 30 day marker needs to be removed. My account number is XXXX.

Complaint: We have a leased XXXX from toyota financial services, they reported us 30 days late negative credit reporting. Our lease contract was expiring, we called and had it extended. This change screwed up their billing cycle as proof we have print outs from toyota website showing no billing statements were ever created for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2016. We even made double payments when finally thier system accepted our payments. basically their system was not accepting our payments because of the lease extension changed billing cycle/system. we wrote letters to toyota to correct the reporting but they are saying not their fault. No one is even available to speak with in their credit reporting department, i am the co signer, i had perfect credit in the XXXX, always made payments on time. attatchments are letter to toyota and printscreen of toyota website showing no statements generated for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2016

Taking out the loan or lease

Complaint: My complaint involves having to pay a personal property tax on my leased vehicle each year. I feel that this is unfair since I drive my leased car for pleasure only. I am retired and do not use the car for any business purposes, now or in the past. I 've been leasing since XX/XX/XXXX and on my third lease from Toyota Financial. I have been told that the tax office of XXXX County or the City of XXXX charges Toyota Financial a personal property tax on leased vehicles and Toyota Financial passes the cost on to each customer. At the start of each lease, I signed a notice that stated the vehicle will not be used for the " production of income or activities that involve the production of income. '' I do n't understand why the tax office charges the tax on a vehicle that is not used for the production of income. The most recent bill is for a XXXX Toyota Avalon which I no longer have. I turned this car in for a XXXX Avalon which I 'm now driving and most likely will have to pay another bill for personal property tax this year also. Since TFS paid the tax on my behalf, I suppose I have no choice but to pay them back. I just feel that this is a consumer ripoff. I appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide. Thanks.

Complaint: My Toyota financial payments are made through EFT transaction. On XX/XX/2017 XXXX deducted the wrong amount from my bank account. My correct payment amount is {$380.00}, but Toyota deducted {$310.00} which is an incorrect amount. I was not aware of this until my credit monitoring service notified me on XX/XX/2017 that I had a derogatory mark on my credit report. After investigating I learned that Toyota Financial had reported my XX/XX/XXXX payment 30 days late. After checking my bank statements for the prior three months I noticed that the XX/XX/2017 payment amount that was deducted from my account was not the correct amount. I logged onto my Toyota Financial account and saw that I had an outstanding balance of {$63.00} and a late charge of {$3.00}. Next, I called Toyota Financial and spoke to a customer service representative. I explained what happened as best as I could, but the CSR had a heavy accent. I could not understand her well and she could not understand me - she repeatedly asked me the same questions over and over and could not understand my answers. In the end she told me there was nothing she could do and that I would have to dispute the matter with the XXXX credit reporting agencies. This error on Toyota 's part has cost me XXXX points on my credit score. That 's exactly how much lower my score is now. I spent several hours on the phone this morning with the XXXX credit reporting agencies : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. XXXX told me they would remove the error immediately. XXXX told me they would file a complaint against Toyota Financial and review the dispute and rule on it within 30 days. XXXX and XXXX told me they would review the dispute and rule on it within 30 days. This error has caused an undue amount of hardship. I want Toyota Financial to correct my credit report with all of the agencies they report to and refund the late charge to me.

Complaint: Went to purchase a vehicle at a XXXX dealership. I was approved for a lease with Toyota, and left with the vehicle. The next day I received a call that stated they were not able to secure the loan with Toyota as there had been a negative outcome to my last loan with Toyota. I was told that if you ever default on a loan with Toyota they will NEVER finance you again. To me this is a classic example of overt discrimination, as the default was in 2010. I have a reestablished credit history, to show that I am in a better financial situation.

Complaint: In XX/XX/2016 I traded in a XXXX Toyota Prius for a new XXXX Prius at an APR of 1.9 %. My payments were approximately $ XXXX/month. Today I looked on line at my account. Toyota 's system was down today but there was information available that I had not seen before. There was a schedule that showed my payment broken down by 1-payment, 2-principle, 3-interest. The interest was {$43.00} per month for the payments that I have made. This does not calculate to 1.9 %. This is not seen in the restarted Toyota webpage. I looked at my contract and there is a statement saying that I am paying " simple '' interest. This is defined in the small print. What I discovered was that there is an amortization schedule that shows what the quoted APR of 1.9 % is if the loan is carried out to the end of the 60 months. Most of the interest is front loaded just like a home mortgage. This is not disclosed at the time of sale and no amortization schedule is offered at the sale. In fact the only amortization schedule is a sample one on their webpage. I am concerned that this is a way that Toyota is causing people to unknowingly become underwater on their account when they go to sell/trade in their cars before the end of the contract, especially in the first 3 years of the contract when the actual percentage of the financing can be as high as 10 %. Toyota does not say that the 1.9 % APR is calculated over the lifetime of the loan, not as is implied as a yearly APR. Incidentally XXXX discloses on all their monthly statements the amount of money going towards principle and interest. Toyota does not. These types of loans require disclosure of an amortization schedule at the time of home purchasing and the automobile companies should be held to the same standards. Unfortunately I do not have screen captures of the Toyota webpage when it was not functioning correctly.

Shopping for a loan or lease

Complaint: After leasing a vehicle from Toyota, I traded the leased vehicle for another vehicle again purchased from Toyota. As part of the negotiations, the sales person agreed to handle all costs related to the return of the leased vehicle, and took ownership of the vehicle during the purchase process. I was promised that no further charges would be incurred from the leased vehicle, and had no control of the vehicle after it was traded in for the new vehicle. Almost a year after the purchase, I received a call from a debt collector for additional charges, for approximately {$400.00}, claiming to represent Toyota. After contacting the sales person regarding the agreement we had made, he claims that all charges were completed. He has washed his hands of the matter, suggesting I contact the debt collector. After no contact for nearly a year, suddenly Toyota Financial claims I owe them this debt, and has turned the matter over to a collection agency. I assume they are damaging my credit rating. I have completed my part in the purchase agreement, in fact overpaying for the vehicle I received, but the Toyota dealership and Toyota Financial are colluding to extort additional funds from me with threats to damage my credit rating as they hide behind a third party, who now also seems to claim rights to my property.

I have no late payments and after speaking with them, they said they have no record of it in their system so they ca n't do anything about it. I am in the process of purchasing a home and this error by them caused my credit to drop below the acceptable rate to acquire a home loan. After repeat calls to Toyota they still wont correct their error.
