Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX : Paid my lease as agreed. XX/XX/XXXX : Acquired a new car and the dealership took my leased car as part of the transaction. Lost posession of this car. XX/XX/XXXX Lexus Financial services cashed the payoff check. XX/XX/XXXX received statements. On both occassions, I was told by the Lexus Financial representative not to pay the statements and ignore them. I was reported to the Credit Bureau. I have not had a single late payment in 33 years, including XXXX cars I bought from Lexus Financial Services. I spoke with the dispute representative which refuses to admit any wrong doing. My credit score now will affect by business and my partners as I can not take advantage of a good credit score, being Lexus Financial Services the only responsible account which they refuse to correct. I have always paid all my bills on time and responsibly.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2017, I purchased a new car from my local Toyota dealer ( XXXX, XXXX XXXX, PA ). In a moment of weakness I also purchased a Vehicle Service Agreement with the {$1800.00} premium to be included in my auto loan through Toyota Financial Services ( TFS ). After reflection, I returned to the dealership 24 hours later and cancelled the agreement with the premium to be returned as a credit to my loan balance. After more than 4 weeks, with no refund and multiple inquiries to both the dealer and TFS, I was told that the refund process normally takes 6-8 weeks before the credit is applied to the loan balance. In today 's electronically-connected financial environment there is no legitimate reason for a simple refund to take that long to process. Two business days would be much more realistic.

Complaint: Leased car through Toyota financial services. At end of lease, bought the vehicle. During the time between end of lease and processing of purchase, the account kept posting new payments. TFS told me twice on phone that I did n't need to make those payments. Now that account shows as 30-60 days past due on my credit report. TFS never answer phone ; automated system says account associated with my information is closed and for unforeseen reasons, no customer support person is available to answer my call. Need the negative information removed from credit report as I never delayed a payment except when TFS told me to not make one. Disputing with credit reporting agencies has yielded nothing either.

Complaint: My car was repossessed on XX/XX/2017. It was a Sat and all the businesses to get the situation handled were closed, so I had to wait until Monday. That Monday ( XX/XX/2017 ), I called Toyota and the first man that I spoke with told me that the amount would be {$710.00} and some change. I informed him that I could pay that and he said that I needed to wait for a letter that states the rest of my fines and that they had 3-7 days to get the letter. I asked what fines and he stated that of the towing company. With that being said, I called XXXX in XXXX which is where my car is. I asked them what the amount was going to be to be able to get the car after I pay Toyota and they stated that they were waiting for Toyota to send them the letter and without the letter they ca n't tell me anything. We have been struggling and I understand why they took the vehicle but I have been trying to pay Toyota now for 5 days and today marks the 7th day that my car is still in the impound. I have no idea how much money is accruing everyday on their lot, Toyota wo n't even let me pay them and I have no idea what else to do. I am XXXX and just wanted to get the situation handled as quickly as I can and Toyota is making it impossible for me to get my car back. I have been willing and offering since day 1. My husband and I were struggling to make payments and have told Toyota that we understand why they took the car but that we just want to get it back. I have spoken to managers, I have called at least 3 times a day since that Monday and still have gotten nowhere. I have appointments coming up ( I have XXXX ) next week that I have no idea if I will be able to go to because I do n't know when they are going to receive this letter that they keep talking about and not taking a payment. Everyday the cost increases. We are already struggling and the process to get our car back only racks up more charges and makes it more and more expensive. They say that the letter is required by the state but I have not seen anything in my research about this letter but what I have found is that I am not the only one in this position. They have even taken full payments before and still make their consumers wait 10 days before being able to get their cars back. Ridiculous. I am a willing customer who understands why her car was repossessed and have tried and tried to pay to get my car back and am constantly being pushed back. My husband is on the road and I have no other means of transportation and I am XXXX. I do n't know what else to do and need help.

Complaint: I have a auto loan with Toyota Financial services. The loan is in my name exclusively. My soon to be ex wife called them up and removed my phone number as the contact and went paperless. For whatever reason customer service allowed this. I stopped getting notices so I figured the bill was being paid. Unfortunately this is the 2nd time they allow her to do this even after I made it explicitly clear she was not to make changes to the account. I am know being reported for XXXX 30 day latest. This is effecting me and my job. I am a XXXX and I worked hard at keeping my credit clean. My understanding is that no one not a wife or parent can call in or a loan and change contact information. I said to then I could bring it current if they were willing to fix my account information and remove the lates. I of course brought it current any how. But I am afraid my information is not safe at this company since anyone can call in with my Social and change or receive stuff.. To this day they still have her email address on file and have n't updated it back to mine.

Complaint: Last XXXX I purchased a new car. This was a new experience for me. In the past I purchased used cars and paid cash. The following is the letter I sent to Toyota Financial Services Credit Dispute Team in XX/XX/XXXX : To whom it may concern, I XXXX purchased a Toyota XXXX through a broker in XXXX, Ca ( XXXX ). We are in a small town, so the vehicle was delivered from another larger dealership. My car came from XXXX Toyota. When I signed papers, I asked my broker how to make my payment, and he informed me that he is n't part of that, and Toyota would be in touch. After several weeks without any correspondence regarding my loan, I got out the loan agreement and called XXXX Toyota as that is the name on the loan agreement. I left no less than 10 messages over the following several weeks. I even knew the receptionists name, XXXX, from calling so often. I have never purchased a new car, and did n't realize that XXXX Toyota may not be carrying the loan even though they are on the paperwork. I could not understand why they would not get back to me and let me pay them. I finally got in touch with my broker to ask him for advice on how to pay my bill. He gave me a number. After hours of being shuffled between different people, I discovered that someone in the chain had failed to put in my mailing address on the financial paperwork, and instead had put in my physical address. One helpful man told me this was a serious error, because he was able to find my mailing address when he looked into the situation for me. And, my plates and tags arrived without issue to my mailing address, so the information I gave was correct. I also found out at this time that my credit has received a hit from all this. I have never missed a payment on any account prior to this, and find it extremely frustrating that I am the one paying for the address mistake. I asked the person helping me if Toyota could write a letter on my behalf explaining that the late payment was not my fault, but they said no. I would very much appreciate if this mark against my credit could be removed. Please let me know if you need any other information from me. Thank you very much, XXXX, Ca XXXX END LETTER Today is XX/XX/XXXX. My first contact with Toyota Financial was right around the XXXX of the year ( payment hit my account on XXXX ). I paid up my past due amount, and provided my mailing address, even asking her to read it back to me. I also requested automatic payment paperwork to be sent to me. I still have not received one piece of mail, phone call, or email from Toyota Financial since I purchased my car in XX/XX/XXXX. I called Toyota Financial today to discover if they have any information regarding my dispute letter, and to find out why I still have not received any correspondence. My mailing address was again updated. I was respectfully informed that a letter had been sent ( again to my physical address despite the fact that I included my mailing address in the letter ) rejecting my dispute. I then asked to speak to a supervisor in hopes that he or she could help with the dispute. He was extremely nice, but after looking into my situation he told me there was nothing Toyota Financial could do, and that my only option was to write directly to the credit agencies. I understand that had I known more about the ins and outs of purchasing a new car, I would have been able to discover Toyota 's error more quickly, and avoided this credit hit. However, I do not see how an error in paperwork not committed by me is now reflected on my credit report. I had the intention, motivation, means, and impulse to pay my bill. Prior to this incident, I have had XXXX late or missed payments from my mortgage, or credit cards.

Complaint: I am disputing TFS response to CFPB case number : XXXX. Toyota Financial Services XXXX provided an explanation on why TFS was not able to remove the late payment indicator. There remarks exposed a new problem that must be addressed and fixed because TFS credit reporting about this incident is inaccurate. I am disputing TFS response for the following reasons : I believe that TFS inaccurately reported a 30 day late payment for XX/XX/2016. TFS reported to all credit bureaus that there was a 30 late payment associated and listed for the month of XX/XX/2016. This is not correct and according to the deferral agreement provided and attached to this report. TFS granted me a deferment for the months of XX/XX/2016 and XX/XX/2016. TFS also charged me a deferral fee of {$16.00} for which I paid or else the agreement would not go into effect. Background information : I do n't understand why TFS did not offer me the opportunity to apply for a monthly deferment prior to the account going 30 days late. Once the account did go 30 days late, TFS then offered a deferment option for which I did sign up for, paid my fee and was granted a deferment for the month of XX/XX/2016 and XX/XX/2016. I am having a difficult time understanding why after I called TFS repeatedly ( at least 9 days prior to the due date ) to report that I was a victim of fraud and asked for their assistance to help me avoid a negative 30 day credit mark that this payment option was not offered to me in an effort to avoid this serious problem. Fraud is a serious problem that affect customers everyday and no customer is ready or has the knowledge to deal with this problem until it occurs. TFS is the lender and the have the financial expertise to deal with customer payment problems and have different solutions they can offer to their customers to help them due a time of crisis. I would have done anything to avoid a 30 day late payment. My next question is how do I have a 30 day late payment from TFS for XX/XX/2016 as listed on all of my credit reports as provided by the major the credit bureaus. I was granted a deferment from TFS for XX/XX/2016 and for XX/XX/2016. According to TFS response to my original complaint, TFS responded that according to the Fair Credit Report Act, TFS is required to fully research disputes lodged by their customers. Under these regulations, TFS is required to report accurate information. This means that TFS is not able to remove adverse information unless it is inaccurate. I am claiming according to all national credit bureaus reports that all companies report that TFS issued a 30 day negative credit marker for the month of XX/XX/2016. This is not factual and it is incorrect as I was granted a deferment from XXXX for XX/XX/2016 and for XX/XX/2016. Based upon these claims and the facts TFS charged me a fee to enter into a monthly deferment agreement. I am requesting that my credit report be corrected by TFS as it is inaccurate and misrepresents the actual facts. Based upon this new information, I respectfully ask that TFS expunge that 30 negative credit marker because it is false and inaccurate. Once again, I will point out that TFS is not able to remove adverse information UNLESS IT IS INACCURATE and in this case was reported incorrectly.
