Took or threatened to take negative or legal action

Debt collection: Auto debt

Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Complaint: I call Toyota Corp and they told me at one point the dept that I owe was XXXX, they will settle my account with me for half the amount that was owed. And when I was able to pay my dept. I had reached out and they told me that the dept has been forwarded to a collection agency. The collection agency then said I owe over 15,000. I told them that the account amount was incorrect and I have proof, which is XXXX a letter from Toyota stating what I owed. they then told me to send them a picture of the letter that I had. ( Which I did ) they then call me back after two days saying that the vehicle has not been sold for the amount that they where looking for that is why the dept went to XXXX I then made arrangements with the collection agency to settle the matter and have it deleted from my credit report. And once they receive the funds. I received a letter from the collection agency, saying the dept was satisfied. But the dept was not deleted from my report.

Billing problem
Complaint: The monthly retail installment payment was made on XX/XX/2019 via Bank E-check as has been done since loan origination date. Payment not credited by TFS and TFS failed to locate any reference to the payment when called. Instead I was told 2 payments made 18 months ago were less than the amount due although no notification was ever sent to me. Due to antiquated Toyota policies, I was treated like a deadbeat customer and had to take off from work, go to the bank to secure a Merchant Transaction report, go to XXXX and fax the documents to TFS @ XXXX to prove payment was made. It is the negligence and rudeness from TFS that caused me decide to not buy a Toyota again and will dump the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ASAP. There are lots of brands that don't screw up the accounting or then force the consumer to jump through hoops to prove payment has been made.. Where did my payment go? Why was the payment not in the system? Is this a SOX violation?

Improper use of your report

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Reporting company used your report improperly
Complaint: In XXXX my husband and I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX to purchase a truck. We have purchased several trucks from them. On XX/XX/XXXX, my husband and I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and agreed on a vehicle we wanted to purchase with our trade in. We made an appointment to go to the dealer on XX/XX/XXXX. We ultimately purchased the vehicle on that Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX. Upon reviewing my credit report, I learned that XXXX XXXX XXXX had made an inquiry into my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX. This was prior to : 1 ) walking into their dealership. Communications were by email and phone ; and 2 ) Signing any documents allowing them to pull my credit report for financing purposes. I believe this practice is illegal. They had our information due to prior purchases at this dealership. However, until documents are signed, I believe that they do not have the right to look into my credit.

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: I have purchased tens of new cars in my life. In XX/XX/XXXX I purchased two new cars from Toyota. One with 0.0 percent interest, another with 1.9 percent interest. I paid both cars off. In XX/XX/XXXX I purchased traded those two cars in on two more, both with 1.9 percent interest. In XX/XX/XXXX, I wanted to trade in one of the XX/XX/XXXXcars on a XXXX XXXX. Prior to going to the dealership, I applied for a vehicle loan on Toyota Financial Services web site. I was approved in about 30 seconds but the approval ( # XXXX ) did not disclose the terms to me. When I went to the dealership and presented the certificate, the dealership made me a deal on the truck. I kept asking for the interest rate and it was never provided to me. No representative has ever called me back to this date. From my calculations given the payment and numbers provided me, the loan presented was about 15 % interest. For this reason, I did not complete the sale. However, I have tried and tried to obtain the interest rate that I was approved by Toyota Financial Services. The dealership has not provided it to me, despite my request, and TFS refuses to provide me any information about the terms of my approval. My approval is still good but I have yet to be disclosed the terms of the approval and can not gauge my financial decisions otherwise. TFS continues to maintain that they only handle post-sale financial accounts. This is incorrect. TFS, not the dealer, performed the inquiry into my credit and also approved the credit. Please assist me.

Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: We received the first letter of payment owed on the disposition fee of a returned lease vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX by mail. They started harassing phone calls on XX/XX/XXXX. So they only allowed 15 days to pay a bill and then started calling work, cell and home, twice a day. I told them I would pay the bill as I always have and that we have NEVER been late. They continued to call everyday, multiple times a day. When I tried to explain that I think they are being a little aggressive for a customer that has 2 leased cars with them, has never been late and who just received the invoice, they didn't care and basically accused me of not wanting to pay. Rest assured the 2nd leased vehicle WILL definitely be turned back in and we WILL NEVER lease with XXXX or Toyota again!!!!

Incorrect information on your report

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account information incorrect
Complaint: I disputed this account with Toyota on XX/XX/2019 via certified mail. In the dispute I called out under the provisions of FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 8 ) ( D ) - stating that the accuracy of the information that Toyota is reporting is inaccurate and does not align across all the 3 credit bureaus. I asked for an investigation and asked for EVIDENTIARY DOCUMENTATION that substantiates the information they are reporting to the credit bureaus on my file. dated XX/XX/2019 I received a response from Toyota stating that the account was being reported correctly. clearly not even looking at the documents and proof that I have submitted with the dispute. Nor did they provide me with the documentation I requested showing that the info being reported in accurate or any documentation bearing my signature there are still multiple discrepancies being reported differently across the 3 credit bureaus ; including date account opened, date of 1st delinquency, date of last payment, repossession reporting and multiple late reportings that I have mentioned in the previous dispute. attached is the copy of my credit reports to prove again. This is my last goodwill attempt to have this matter cleared up by Toyota. The item being reported is entirely inaccurate and incomplete and represents a serious matter in the way this company is reporting. I am formally requesting again, ALL EVIDENTIARY DOCUMENTATION that proves what you are reporting on my credit file. I am requesting validation, made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the FCRA, along with corresponding local state laws. I am requesting validation ; that is competent evidence bearing my signature, showing that I have ( or ever had ) some contractual obligation to pay you.

Problem with fees charged
Complaint: I am a XXXX XXXX employee in XXXX status due to the XXXX. Toyota Financial Services has offered help to those affected that have good standing loans/leases with them. My lease is in good standing. To my surprise, they offered me a 60 day deferral ( moved to end of lease ), for a fee of approximately {$290.00}. I was shocked! They are not helping us, they are helping themselves to additional charges to XXXX XXXX that are vulnerable. I have contacted 3 other financial institutions that I have business with. All agreed to defer one or two months, interest and fee free. This is wrong.

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account status incorrect
Complaint: I am writing to inform you of the illegal actions of Toyota Financial Services in reporting a Charge Off of an account included in a XXXX bankruptcy that was discharged by the courts in XXXX by a judge. I demand that Toyota Financial immediately alert ALL 3 credit bureaus to have this illegal account removed as required by federal law. Most troubling is that this illegal account was only recently reported in XX/XX/XXXX and has severely negatively affected my credit score. Toyota has fraudulently made it appear that this account was a 4 month term and is past due for XXXX with an owed balance that was closed in XXXX by a federal bankruptcy judge. Toyota Finance maliciously and fraudulently reported to the credit bureaus that I have a recent charge off and reported this debt as active as of XX/XX/XXXX which is included in my bankruptcy in XXXX and discharged in XXXX. They have caused my excellent credit score to fall 300 points from nearly 800 to junk credit. I feel that damages should also be paid for Toyotas fraudulent actions that have negatively affected my credit in violation of federal bankruptcy laws. TOYOTA MOTOR CREDIT. Problem with fees charged
Complaint: Back in XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX, I had so many problems with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX losing paperwork and processing my car loan that I decided to cancel the loan. I was told by XXXX XXXX that they would stop the loan on their end. I called for the next two days to confirm the cancellation of the loan with both XXXX and XXXX XXXX. Within a couple of days, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX processed the loan. I had to accept the loan. A week or so later, I was contact by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they stated that they made a mistake processing the loan and that I had to pay additional money for taxes. I submitted a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( complaint # XXXX ), and XXXX XXXX agreed to remedy the situation by paying the taxes. Now XXXX is contacting me to pay the taxes again. My account number with XXXX is XXXX. I called in today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and waited 22 minutes on the phone to speak to a supervisor and then the call was disconnected. XXXX sent me a notice dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that I had to pay {$300.00} within 15 days threatening to send the remaining amount to a collection agency. I received the letter in early XXXX due to the holidays.

Getting a loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Confusing or misleading advertising or marketing
Complaint: I was assured by the dealership salesman verbally that two monthly promotions would be applied to the price of the vehicle. I was lured in by the discount but it was subsequently not applied in the sales documents and when I asked about it before completing all signatures on the loan, I was once more verbally assured that it was applied. Upon looking at my forms AFTER signing, I was told that I had already signed the forms and there was nothing to be done. I bought the vehicle ABOVE the MSRP that even Toyota corporation listed. Toyota listed MSRP at {$41000.00} and the dealership sold it to me at {$45000.00}. ( This before taxes, fees, etc which brought loan to {$56000.00}. ) I have been trying to reach dealership personnel in person, phone and email and they do not respond.
