Complaint: I purchased a vehicle from a small car dealership in XXXX Arizona. I had the vehicle for a little over a year now. I went to go trade the vehicle in at a big dealership and when the sales manager pull the XXXX and XXXX on the vehicle to find the vehicle 's odometer has been rolled back. I signed for a vehicle with XXXX miles. It really has XXXX miles. Earlier last year the dealer filed a restraining order on me because he stole my wifes car and he wanted to keep me away from it while he was ripped everything that we own out of the vehicle along the sums of about {$1500.00} worth of items. The police would not file a stolen items chatge on the dealers owner. I had no way of contacting him and getting to the bottom of the situation through the dealers owner. I contacted the bank and the bank told me that I 'm still responsible to pay for the vehicle which is {$15000.00} more than what is actually worth. I finance the vehicle for {$19000.00} and the owner of the dealership knew that the vehicle 's odometer has been rolled back and still sold it to me for {$19000.00} even though the vehicle is only worth {$5000.00} trade value. I have all documents to show that this vehicle was at XXXX miles when I sign for it. The dmv has documentaion thatvthe vehicle is signed for has almost XXXX miles on it.This dealer has been doing a lot of scamming to the public people of Arizona and the state of Arizona is not doing anything to prosecute him or recover anyone 's damages, I still have to pay for the murchandise that the owner stile out of my famikystuff car. I ca n't afford a lawyer. I know I am part of a struggling working family and I ca n't afford legal representation because they are very expensive. The dealers owner has numerous law suits against him so recovering losses may be out of the question.

Complaint: On Monday ( XXXX ) my opening balance with TCF was over {$300.00} and XXXX transactions from the weekend were already posted to my account. I had XXXX transactions that day, totaling {$390.00} and no other transactions. When I checked my account on XXXX, TCF charged me {$140.00} in overdraft fees for the XXXX transactions that had already posted to my account. When I asked why I got charged overdraft fees for those instead of the pending transactions, the TCF rep said it took money from my account to cover the pending transactions. When I checked my account today ( XXXX ), I found I now have been charged overdraft fees for those XXXX pending transactions as well, bringing my total overdraft fees to {$220.00}. Since none of the XXXX transactions were more than {$200.00}, I do not understand their logic.

Thank you very much and kind regards, XXXX XXXX PS The above was the text in the fax I sent on XX/XX/XXXX. I am not sure why things did not go through ( I do have the fax being successfully sent receipt ) **** end of email ***** Now I have a new charge in XX/XX/XXXX, once again of {$50.00} ( which they draw against my debit card with the threat that if I do not pay, I 'd have my credit score affected ). Complaint: Starting in about XXXX 2015 I started wondering why my account had not gone down in 10 years. It had only gone down {$800.00} in 9 years. I had made extra payment amounts from the beginning. I made {$450.00} payments for almost 2 years. None of the extra {$40.00} made it to my Principal. ( Attached doc ) They were used just for interest. For many years I was under the impression that this loan was like any other loan - it 's a set amount and it does n't matter when you pay it as long as you are not late. I was making XXXX payments at XXXX time sometimes - little did I know that this loan does n't work that way. You have to make a payment every 30 days on the dot - or you will be charged interest since you were over 30 days. So making payments early and then making double payments actually cost me money because the next payment was not due for 45 days. So I would be charged XXXX more days of interest. I have since figured this out. I also noticed that when I would pay extra that the extra amount would be taken off of my next payment amount. ( EX. XXXX would go down to XXXX ) Eventually my monthly payment would be {$0.00} - and they would say I do n't need to make a payment. So I did n't. What they were doing was taking my extra payment amounts and showing I was prepaying interest. ( They should have gone to reduce principal ) Then if I did n't make the payment they would then charge me another 30 days interest.
Most of my concern is that I am trying to pay this loan off in 3 years. I want to make big payments to get my principal down. So since XXXX 2015 - I have been working on this and " testing '' the system to make sure payments are being applied correctly. I would make {$500.00} payments and those payments would all go to interest or just be applied wrong. I have attached information so you can see how they posted the payments. You will see that I had to call back and have them re-do the payment allocations - every month - they were applying my extra payments to prepaid interest. I have a script that I have to say to them each time. ( See below ) I talk to someone different every time. They do not apply the payments correctly. And this week they lost XXXX of my extra payments. I made the payment over the phone on XXXX/XXXX/2015 and the lady said it was good to go. I had to use my script near the bottom of this document to make sure she does it right. Many people have said to me " you need to do this exactly. '' And I have done everything they have said. I got an account with them to make sure the payments were coming out on time. I also say exactly what they want me to say. I then have to go into the account the next day to see if they applied the payments correctly. Why am I working so hard to make sure they do this right? Should n't they have this? I was told multiple times from the people on the phone that they have to '' make these changes all day long. These loans are bad and the system can not handle the loans. '' They also told me to do the payments using the new Online Payment application. That system also takes my payments and then prepays the interest. This is not working either. So I went back to calling the loan servicing number. And that is when they screwed up my payment for {$280.00}. It has now been 8 days and that amount is not showing on my loan. They did take the money out of my account - but I have not seen it. They said it went into another account. Not sure if it was my account or someone else 's. I have talked to multiple people and they could not find the {$280.00}. See below the events by day.
I did involve the XXXX. I am working with XXXXXXXXXXXand he suggested that I contact your office.
XXXX did get me in contact with a XXXX Retail Lending, XXXXXXXXXXX- See attachments for more info that comes after this.

Threatened to sue on too old debt
Complaint: Received phone call from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and told that they were attempting to collect debt from bad check from 2002. Representative had the last XXXX of my SS # and my address. I was told that with fees and all, I owed {$350.00}. I asked if there was an office I could come to and pay and was told there was not. I asked where I could mail in a money order and was told I had to take care of it over the phone and if I did not legal papers would be filed and lawyers would get involved. I stated that I was not comfortable giving any account information over the phone and was told that I could call with a pre-paid credit card and pay that way, and I could settle the debt today for {$200.00}. I was also told that after I settled the debt, I would be mailed a letter stating that the issue had been resolved. When I asked for a case number I was told the system had just crashed and I could call back later for the number.
