Complaint: To Representative of CFPB : I am filing this complaint to request your help in getting restitution for one of my TCF accounts. I have had my checking account with TCF for more than 20 years. My wife also has 2 checking accounts with TCF. We share one account. So we have three accounts all together. All 3 accounts were opted in on the same day, we were both at the bank at that time. She has received restitution for her individual account, and our joint account has received restitution. I have not received any restitution for my individual account. I called the TCF admistrators number on XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and did not get any help to resolve this matter. This account had a lot more overdrafts than both of the other 2 accounts. Can a CFPB representative get back to me please. Q1. Can you help me get restitution for my checking account? Please let me know the answer to this question. Thank you in advance for your help. XXXX

Complaint: I am currently in the stages of disputing 2 ATM transactions- third party ATM. The 1at incident the ATM machine went into collaboration a phase and no monies dispensed i waited and tried it again I received my money. Yet my account showed 2 withdrawals when in actuality I only received money from one transaction. I called TCFs customer service number and was told the transaction should fall of as it is in pending status. The transaction did not fall of and I called back opened a dispute. I received a provisional credit a few days later and a letter from TCF about a week after they which stated TCF is investigating this dispute and you will hear from us by XX/XX/XXXX. A few weeks after opening the dispute I had the same issue. I called TCF and this time even while the transaction was in Pending status the representative opened a dispute. FIRST fact 2 identical issues 2 different processes. On XX/XX/XXXX I called for an update on my 2nd dispute. I have not received any communication nor have I received a credit. I am not rich and depend on my money to survive. On XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX central I spoke to a representative in the customer service department who called the dispute team and told me on a recorded line ( TCF pulled the actual call and confirmed their own representative said that ) you will receive your provisional credit today and if you do not call us back. I have not received the credit and called at around XXXX central time and was told that I will not be receiving anything and the prior representative provided me inaccurate information. Not one team lead would escalate not one had any compassion nor any remorse for the actions of their own wrong doing. I could not find a corporate phone number or a corporate email for an escalation / office of the president. Please tell me which honorable, customer based, loyal, company would not provide this information to the public or have it listed on the web? What made me write this review is that today the initial provisional credit has been deducted making my account negative that exact amount. I called the customer service number and was informed that a letter was mailed on XX/XX/XXXX but wait I was on the phone with several representatives XX/XX/XXXX no one advised me of any such finding. Letter from TCF dated XX/XX/XXXX, envelope stamped XX/XX/XXXX, and received at the USPS XX/XX/XXXX. I have the proof in my hands. I forewarn other hardworking individuals to avoid TCF at all costs- this is not a legit financial institution. This bank discriminates against customers and has no skills to work with the public or be trusted with money. You have been warned- watch out!

Complaint: This company has broke the FCRA and Fair Debt Collection Laws 4 times. They have called me 30 times a day harassing me. They have threatened me with injury and to take my car by force. They threatened to sue and arrest me. They discussed this with my family trying to guilt family to pay to keep me out of jail and not lose a car for the holidays. XXXX XXXX has many complaints about their abusive and fraudulent tactics! They do not respect the FTC Do Not Call List, nor respect being told to be on the Do Not Call List on phone verbally and via email and certified mail!

Complaint: This company abandonment of interest in the car. The lending company still didn't provided no statements since XX/XX/2018 to present. The company lock me out of the account, they stated do to status of account. I mailed a check and they return my check ( XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/2018 ). I sent the money order XX/XX/2018 and they return it. They never accept money orders or checks as stated in there XXXX report. I ( VOLUNTARY SURRENDER ) the car. They still report it as open. They never updated. The balance never was reduce for being surrender.
