I have been at the bank and spoke with the manager at the branch and she could not give any information. She tried to call to the head quarter, but did not get information. I have called to the phone number which was provided in the letter but was told that account is going to be closed. The reason - it is internal decision and no more explanation. I do not fill any wrong doing to cause any risk to Bank. I would like to know what is the problem. I feel myself as a criminal.

Complaint: I was victim of fraud. Someone used my debit card info and made purchases close to {$10000.00} and I have filled dispute with TCF bank. TCF first gave me money back then they took my money out of my checking account. I asked them what is happening and they reopened the claim. This has been happening since XX/XX/2018 and they just keep asking me for same documents over and over again. Ive sent them 4 times proof that I was in XXXX when this fraud happened, my affidavit and police report. Since then they just keep telling me that my case is under review and not giving me resolutions date or anything. Can you please assist me in getting my founds back.

Complaint: I reported my debit card stolen approx XXXX on XX/XX/2018 over the phone with a TCF customer support agent. Later that evening, I was contacted via automated phone call by TCF fraud protection services, asking for confirmation on purchases and ATM withdrawals that I did not make. There were charges for XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. As well as ATM transfers and withdrawals from both checking and savings accounts at two separate downtown ATMs. The following day I went into a branch location to figure out what happened. I was informed that the thief called and requested the card be re-activated ( pretending to be me ) and that the bank complied with this. It took going to a branch to file fraud reports four times throughout the week until everything was finally accounted for. Staff has been consistently in-comprehensive and the computer system has caused multiple problems, including ; the disappearance of the card in question, not being able to file a fraud claim until days after the offense, and obfuscating account notes. One claim has been refunded, but there are still five pending charge claims that have been rejected multiple times over the course of the last month on the basis that I " was aware that someone had access to my account/PIN and did not notify the bank in a timely manner to prevent the fraud '' I notified them before any fraud occurred, and then again nearly every day for weeks. The bank is at fault for re-opening the card, and my money should have been insured and reimbursed weeks ago. The investigation has not been transparent and they have made it exceedingly difficult to get straight answers or make any attempt at streamlining the process. The outstanding loss is {$2100.00} I have spoken with XXXX XXXX XXXX, Assistant Vice-President and branch manager, branch supervisors XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX, multiple tellers and Customer service operators, Vice President and regional Manager XXXX XXXX, and most recently XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have filed each induvidual fraud claim, and filed appeals for each claim 3-4 times and provided a detailed narrative and financial breakdown of the offenses as well as filing a police report with the XXXX XXXX Precinct. Due to the egregious amount of time and effort to fix this problem on my own with no success, I have filed complaints with the XXXX, OCC, CFPB, Federal Reserve, and At tourney General of Minnesota.

Complaint: TCF Bank without any prior notice to me in writing or any other form of communication debited my account {$160.00} from my checking account. While I was physical at the XXXX branch completing a transaction with a teller. My account was setup as close to debit since no additional information was available Or documented in my account. After filing a fraud complaint form per XXXX branch manger on duty, XX/XX/2018 at appropriate XXXX XXXX, I was instructed to initiating a police report with XXXX Police. I was promised a follow up in a few days from the TCF fraud department. After not receiving any communication I called a number listed on the Fraud complaint form to my surprise the branch never submitted the forms. The representative assured me follow up will be communicated. Days later I was notified the deductible was for a safety deposit box that was open five years prior and the fees was for four years of rental payments. Perplexed I visited the opening branch seeking clarification. The male Teller advises a lot of complaints has been coming in from customers such as mine because there account was debit without knowledge for account setup years prior. I was contacted by XXXX XXXX, TCF supervision of operations responded to my inquiry from the branch visit via a retuned phone call. XXXX explained I should have had a checking account setup for yearly deductions so it wouldnt have been so long before the funds was taken without and communication prior. I explained it was indeed setup with a checking account and wanted a copy of all communication concerning the safety deposit box. She explained there was no form of communication linked to my account that could be resent no record of letters or any other form of communication. Despite all other transactions being documented over the five year period. I explained my frustration with not being noticed of the deduction for a transaction that wasnt even communicated to me by any other means prior to the withdrawal. XXXX explained I can contact XXXX since she had no additional information on the letter that was suppose to be generated over four years and nothing could be done about the refund of my account.

Complaint: This is an update and clarification to Complaint XXXX-XXXX which was closed XXXX, saying, " The company has let us know that it cant respond to this complaint as it lists an unauthorized third party. '' Please understand that this pertains to two CDs my father had. He passed before they matured. In the meantime, I accepted his Power of Attorney, am the sole trustee of his estate, and am his executor. I am not an " unauthorized third party. '' If you need clarification, please call me at XXXX. Here is the original complaint from XXXX : My elderly father ( I am now his executor ) purchased two substantial 18-month CDs from XXXX XXXX, in XXXX XXXX, MI. He received a promotional interest rate of 1.49 %. A few weeks before the CDs matured, he received a letter telling him unless he instructed otherwise, his CDs would automatically renew and they would adjust the interest rate to the current rate. They did not disclose ( or approximate ) what the renewal rate would be. He presumed ( poor choice on his part ) the rate would be similar and competitive. The rate went from 1.49 % to .149 % - ONE-TENTH what he had received. He tried to close the CDs and was quoted a five-figure early withdrawal fee. This rate change cost his heirs {$15000.00}. But, more importantly, this seems to be intentionally deceitful on the part of the bank. They won't know *precise* interest rates three weeks out, but they know *approximately* what the rate will be. It seems they should be required to make that disclosure. Especially when dealing with the elderly.

I FILED A FRAUDULENT COMPLIAINT WITH TCF BANK, THE COMPANY PUT ALL OF MY FUNDS BACK IN MY ACCOUNT, HOWEVER, TCF REFUSE TO WAVE THE OVERDRAFT FEE. I SPOKE WITH A BANK REP. AND A MANAGER, WHO REFUSED TO WAVE THE XXXX FEE. IN FACT THE BANK REP. THAT FILED THE COMPLIAINT ( XXXX ) STATED THAT ONCE XXXX XXXX, REFUNDED MY MONEY BACK INTO MY ACCOUNT, THEY WOULD WAVE THE OVERDRAFT FEE.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I deposited a check of {$4000.00}. After a few hours, TCF took this deposit and turned it into a debit on my account thus turning my available balance far into the negative. I called and they said this is normal in which they need to hold the funds before they can release. I understand holding the incoming funds from being released, but not taking the available funds from my account and doing what with? Earning interest on their end? I was sitting at dinner and couldn't pay because they essentially held my money. Even their employee said that it was ridiculous but sadly outside of her control. Based on her tone, she gets these calls often. How. Is. This. Legal. Tomorrow I am switching banks.
