Complaint: I closed an account with TCF in XXXX of this year and recently had a check from XXXX XXXX be deposited in the account in XXXX. If the account is closed and I have no business with TCF how can a check that was deposited into a non existing account be possessed by an institution I have cut ties with. I did still have TCF as a Direct Deposit option for the XXXX XXXX. I contacted the XXXX XXXX and they notified me that if my account is dissolved then the bank should notify the XXXX XXXX the account no longer exists and send me a check. TCF claimed that because I had a direct deposit for the check will associated with the XXXX XXXX they took the check. After I liquidate an account the bank should no longer hold the right to posses my money in any capacity, and they also wanted to charge me for an account maintenance fee. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Complaint: My son, had a loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I am a co-signer. I was making payments on this account. My son, filed bankruptcy, and this company was made aware of the process, however, they did not show up and no one was there to represent this company during the process. I continue, to make payments. They added more money onto the account after the bankruptcy, I filed a complaint informing them that they were overcharging, why is there more fees, being added to this account for the car, the representative, reviewed the account and agreed, that there are extra fees, and stated that she needed to send the account for review. There are fees that should have been written off because of the bankruptcy, was added instead of being subtracted. In XXXX of 2018, we received an letter stating that there was a balance of XXXX still owed, on the car after the review. I contacted XXXX, and the representative, confirmed in order to closed the account, I needed to pay XXXX dollars. I paid the amount and was informed that the account was paid in full, and someone will contact me as to where the title should be mailed. After three weeks, I didn't hear from anyone I contacted them inquiring as to the process of receiving the title for the car. I was informed that I should allow another week. In XXXX, they reported on the credit report that this account was closed, then I received an late on the credit from this same company, I immediately, contacted this company in XXXX, 2018, I was informed that there was a balance left on the account. I explained that I called and also received a letter stating what was needed to pay this account off, I called and paid that amount. They also, reported on the credit this month another late, and the account is still showing closed on the credit. I still have not received the title. Every time I call, I am now getting the run around with this company. but the are placing a negative impact on my credit and my son 's credit. Yet, the car loan is still reported as closed.

Complaint: I went to TCF get an account for my son. I am his rep payee, I informed them that I was his rep payee. They opened a joint account, that was not a rep payee account. Prior to even opening the the account they said we could dept a check however we would not be be able to take any funds out for 7 to 10 business days, how ever thus would not have worked dir us sye to the fact we needed money right away, we opened an account they failed to call me I owed money from an account back in 2003. They ended up taking my sons XXXX check, i tried taking to them and they pretty much said to bad. My son is a vulnerable adult. This is bit ok for them to do this.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX sent a letter starting that my truck was paid in full. It was traded in however all reports are showing it to be charged off. They claimed to my mother, XXXX XXXX, joint buyer that they marked it paid in full. I've worked 15 years in XXXX and know that it is up to the creditor to mark correctly on a credit report. Does this mean if I paid it on my own in full it would be charged off as well? Because that's what happened except the new dealer paid it off. XXXX of XXXX, owned by the XXXX XXXX XXXX issued the check to pay it off. Also. We received a overpayment check as well. Our credit scores have DRASTICALLY took a hit due to the incorrect reporting of XXXX XXXX XXXX. This needs to be fixed asap on on their end. I should not have to jump through hoops with 3 credit agencies due to the errors of this creditor.

Complaint: I am a victim of fraud on the part of XXXX XXXX. I believe they targeted me because of my age. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX eastern time I called XXXX XXXX as a CD had just come due. I relocated to Delaware, and so I can no longer visit a local branch in XXXX. I spoke with a woman in customer service in Illinois. Mail I get from XXXX XXXX has a return address of XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MN XXXX. As my holdings are nearing the limit of FDIC insurance, I asked that {$10000.00} be removed from my CD and forwarded by check to my address of record. I asked for the remainder of funds to be renewed as a CD. I am XXXX years old and my son helped me read my account number, and was witness to the transaction. During the week that followed I received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX thanking me for contacting them and noting that the CD had been renewed for the full amount. My son helped me call at XXXX eastern time on XX/XX/XXXX to notify them of the error and we were told the CD had been renewed and no record of our earlier call existed, and a fine of about {$600.00} would be required to withdraw funds at that time. They noted they had no record of my call on XX/XX/XXXX even though the letter was dated XX/XX/XXXX, thanked me for contacting them, and XX/XX/XXXX ( the date of the letter ), was long before the time limit for altering the account before automatic renewal. I was told that nothing could be done, that the bank would file a complaint on my behalf, but would not necessarily confirm that a complaint had been received. This is fraud - theft through the renewal of an investment instrument contrary to my instructions with a claim that instructions had not been received, when in fact they were acknowledged on the mail I received.
