Complaint: I received an email from Synchrony Bank that indicated " A Trial Deposit Has Been Successfully Made to Your XXXX XXXX '' I do not have and do not want an XXXX XXXX account. There is no phone number to contact this " bank '' and the email indicates the mailbox is not monitored. I believe ANY company that opens an unauthorized and unrequested account on behalf of a consumer is committing identity theft. I want someone to contact this " bank '' and demand that they stop this practice. A quick XXXX search indicates I am not the only one to receive this phishing email.

Complaint: Received 3 emails today from Synchrony regarding a credit builder card that I never applied for. No text in the emails, the subject lines were A trial deposit has been successfully made to your Amazon Credit Builder, ( twice on that one ) and Action required on your application. I have an Amazon store card from Synchrony, but did not apply for a new one. I don't need credit building. When I called Synchrony, after they finally transferred me to a person, the message came on that they were not able to help at this time and to call back at a later date. Then they hung up.

I took a look at all the companies and it seems they are all credit card companies and have not applied for any credit card companies myself and would like them to be removed because I was in the process of looking into what I needed to do to increase my credit score. Complaint: I received an email on XX/XX/19 at XXXX XXXX from Synchrony bank that " a trial deposit has been successfully made to your ''. I received a second email at XXXX that " A Trial Deposit Has Been Successfully Made to Your AMAZON CREDITBUILDER ''. I attempted to log into my account online but was unable to access the log in screen. I attempted to call several phone numbers, none of which are work expect one that sent me to the Lowes credit cards. That operator tried to send me back to the numbers that I have been calling that do not work. This is a high yield savings account that I do not use at all. there should be no activity. I now received a third email from them at XXXX stating " action required on your application '' the email has no content and I did not apply for anything. there is something going on and the bank is unreachable via phone or website for nearly an hour with unauthorized activity on my account.

Complaint: Synchrony Bank sent me 3 emails indicating I had opened an XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card. A deposit had been made and they needed my application completed. I called 3 different numbers for Synchrony Bank and got through but they just dropped the call. I called XXXX asking how the bank got my email address and they didn't know. I can not reach the bank to get any info about a credit card I did not open.

Complaint: Received 3 emails on Monday, XX/XX/2019, between XXXX to XXXX PST from Synchrony Bank : 1. Action required on your application 2. A trial deposit has been successfully made 3. A trial deposit has been successfully made to your Amazon Creditbuilder. I never applied for any Amazon credit cards. Contacted Amazon and they told me to contact Synchrony Bank. Synchrony Bank is impossible to contact as either none of their phone numbers work or their automated system won't let you talk to a human. This is fraud and I want it dealt with, however, this bank appears to be less than standard since even trying to directly contact their fraud department runs me into the same issue where I can not get a number to work or they throw me off the automated line.
