Complaint: Jcpenneys approved me for a Jcpenneys Gold Card. My limit was {$500.00}. I paid {$100.00} on my old Jcpenneys card which was the basic red card. The payment was not recorded by the people that was to process my credit card payment. So I was accessed a late fee. I called Jcpenneys after I could not use my Gold Card. and I was told the payment was not recorded. so they decreased my credit limit to under 320.00. all of this happened in less than 20 days.

Complaint: I obtained a loan, which functioned like a credit card ( though I never received a physical credit card ), from Synchrony Bank. Upon paying the full balance of the loan, I asked for my account to be closed and for my personal information to be deleted. I was assured both were handled. Today, I received an email from Synchrony Bank concerning an unrelated matter of no consequence to me, other than the fact that I was emailed means Synchrony still has my personal information in their database. I would like 100 % of my personal information to be deleted, so I called Synchrony and was basically given the run around. The last person I spoke with informed me that Synchrony can't delete my personal information, but would never use it for anything. The email I received leads me to believe Synchrony may have suffered a data breach, meaning my information, along with that of thousands or millions of other people, may have been stolen. This is unacceptable.

You may receive account servicing emails even if you have requested not to receive marketing offers by email for your AMAZON CREDITBUILDER Account. Synchrony Bank is located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Utah, XXXX, USA. This is an unmonitored email box. Please do not reply to this email. Head off identity theft before it happens. I see on social media that this happened to a lot of people and it was sent by Synchrony in error. However, this is not an acceptable error as I didn't open any application. Both companies should be investigated for fraudulent activity.

Complaint: Synchrony Bank sent series of emails that a deposit had been made to an Amazon XXXX account in my name ; I had never applied for one. Then they sent an email that was blank, and the next day they sent an apology that the whole thing was an error. My complaint is that they didnt give any way to contact them if further questions or concerns, and they didnt explain how they got my email address and what their relationship is to Amazon. Consumers should be entitled to both those

Complaint: I got an email from Synchrony Bank that a trial a account was successfully set up. I called the bank and they admitted. I informed them that I did not open any account with them. After 12 hours, they sent me an email that they was a problem with their system and that I should disregard the opened account. They confirmed my information was not breached. Ive the emails to confirm this. But because banks lie all the time, I want to make sure my information was not compromised. Thanks.

Received unsolicited financial product or insurance offers after opting out
Complaint: Received email from Synchrony Bank A Trial Deposit Has Been Successfully Made to Your AMAZON CREDITBUILDER. Unsolicited, called Amazon, who had many complaints, tried calling Synchrony Fraud and New Account and Customer Service. Fraud voicemail said they were closed, others waits 23 and 25 minutes and never reached anyone. Online search found hundreds if not thousands effected with similar emails. Appears not to be fraud, but Synchrony used Mt Lowes Credit Card information to apparently open an Amazon Credit Builder account which was never requested by me. What can be done to stop Synchrony from opening accounts without approval and seemingly without Amazon requesting the accounts. Cant get the truth, but it feels like the XXXX XXXX debacle all over again.

One of the emails stated it was for Amazon CreditBuilder. I attempted to contact Synchrony and they told me I do not have an account so just ignore it. I researched on Amazon forums and this appears to be a larger problem as many received the same identical email today, and most of those affected have recently used Amazon for either purchases or sales.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I receive three email from synchrony Bank those three email with very strange but very familiar to me I knew exactly what the email meant but two hours later synchrony Bank trying to fix the error, no unacceptable. synchrony Bank has send me a email telling me both in my account with XXXX and XXXX was A Trial deposit has successfully make to you ( me ) that was no mistake I know exactly what happened I know my legal right I'm a security party creditor was my trade name copyright ( helder-in-due-course ) I have file my ucc-1 adding ucc-3 I know it is actually my legal standard I know how Bank work but is trying to deny it is something called XXXX XXXX when you give them permission your social security number your name they all ought to go to the XXXX XXXX Bank back window and ask them for money I know that they don't want you to know that I know exactly how it works. I am a secured party creditor, helder-in-due-course. I know how the work they can not tell me that I don't know what what's that email and then later on this day that I apologize this send a email to the wrong person or I don't know. They need a good explanation for that they don't have one they can't give me one because finally they made it a mistake to send email to the account owner.

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 RE : Unsolicited Email from Synchrony Bank that may be an indication that an account in my name has been breached (? ) Today I received 3 emails from Synchrony Bank that make no sense whatever to me. At XXXX XXXX the message was titled, " A trial deposit has been successfully made to your ... '' ( My what??? ) An additional email also at XXXX XXXX. titled, " Action required on your application '' ( I have made NO application ), and at XXXX XXXX " A trial deposit has been successfully made to your AMAZON CREDITBUILDER. '' All of the emails clearly stated, " Please do not reply to this email. '' I tried twice today to reach this bank by phone. Both times I got well into their automated telephone messaging before I was told via an automated voice that they could not handle my call at this time. I then registered a compliant through their online system but the character limitations imposed in the online complaint field made that attempt next to being useless. In a nutshell : I can not reply to their email ; I can not reach a human being by calling their Customer Service number ; and their online complaint system is so limited it is worthless. If Synchrony Bank is taking lessons from XXXX XXXX XXXX on how to FLEECE their customers this needs to be nipped in the bud ASAP. Consumers everywhere may be at risk. If I need to go testify before congress to help resolve this issue I will be happy to. I will also be more than happy to share the 3 above referenced emails with the proper authorities. Disclosure : Synchrony Bank services a Belk credit card that I have but I am not aware of any other business that I do with them. They should NOT be opening Amazon Credit in my name or requesting any action in regard to an Amazon application in my name. I would like to attach the 3 referenced emails to this complaint but my printer ink is low, thus I am unable to print and scan them tonight. If an investigator would like for me to forward the email to them all I need is an email address and they will be on their way to you.

Complaint: I received several e-mails from Synchrony Bank informing me that there had been payments received on an account which I did not make. and that there had been activity on an Amazon credit account which I do not have. I tried to contact them by e-mail and by phone but could only get an automated response which did not address the problem. I tried to contact two of the credit reporting companies which asked for my social security number via automated system. I have no Idea how to handle this problem. If some one Is using my personal information to get credit I don't know how to stop them.
