Complaint: Various documents dropped off with neighbors and relatives that involved personal information pertaining to fraudulent debts due to being a victim of identity theft. Received a letter for a judgement held against me with a hearing of XX/XX/2019 in which was not disclosed in the paperwork dropped off with neighbors. Was not served directly by debt collector and never signed any paperwork pertaining to these filings. These documents were dropped off various times throughout the month of XXXX. In one occasion they were inserted in the United States Postal Service Mailbox where I reside. This is very unprofessional and deceptive with attempts in collecting a fraudulent debt and disclosing personal information containing social security number. The documentation included address, social security number, amount for the debt for the apparent collection. Neighbors stated that they were approached by a female in a dark colored commuter car, in which then handed them a stack of papers. Upon receiving the documents and realizing it does not pertain to anyone to their address, they personally directed the correspondence to me. They advised me that they felt that was very unprofessional and rude for a collector to approach them in that manner. These types of practices should be looked upon and enforced to the local, state and/or federal levels to which they are violated.

Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2019 I paid my Synchrony car care bill online ($28.00) through my Bank of America account. On XX/XX/2019 I received an email from Synchrony indicating that they had not received my payment and my first thought was “XXXX” because I knew that I made the payment online. I went home and logged into my account and discovered that I posted the payment to another one of my Synchrony account and I immediately called Synchrony and spoke to XXXX. She informed me that she was able to transfer the payment to my car care account and that the late fee would automatically be waived because they could tell when the payment was made. On XX/XX/2019 and XX/XX/2019 I received additional emails indicating that my payment was still past due. Today (XX/XX/2019) I logged into mysynchrony online account to find out the amount of my XX/XX/XXXX payment and that is when I noticed that it indicated my payment was showing past due in red and once again I called and spoke to XXXX. XXXX told me that the payment was not transferred even though XXXX told me that my payment was being transferred. I told her that I did not have any faith in Synchrony and had problems with them in the past and was fearful that they would report this information to the credit bureaus erroneously. I also told her that if it was not fixed today that I would file a complaint with the regulatory agencies because Synchrony has received my payment on time and is now playing games and harassing me about making an additional payment for $XXXX. At that point XXXX told me that she was going to transfer my call to a supervisor to get it fixed for me today and placed my call on hold. A gentleman answered and stated that he was from Lowe’s and could not assist me and the call was terminated.

Complaint: I was on the Amazon App shopping. Applied for line of credit to get a credit and the total sum would be {$200.00}. The application said I got denied but then got stuck and later i got emails saying I was approved. I got the credit card in mail XXXX XXXX XXXX account. But the emails was coming from Synchrony. I went to Synchrony email and website to register the card I got in the mail and said it didn't register in the system. XXXX is not showing the transaction from that card that was received. XXXX has bo record of that amount. Amazon has no clue and routes to speak with Synchrony and XXXX to find out issue and both XXXX and Synchrony also dont show the transaction. Transaction is on and or around XX/XX/2019. {$200.00}. Synchrony is charging me for a bill of over {$300.00} and I'm trying to resolve this but the Financial Institutions have no record of the transaction and I dont want this to affect my Credit At ALL if this does not get paid on time or in general.

Complaint: In XX/XX/2018 I signed with Care Credit to help cover the cost of dental work. The cost came to a little over {$7000.00}. Supposedly, I was put into a promotional program that waved the interest for 12 months. However, I do not recall signing up for this program. On XX/XX/2018 it was stated that if I paid the balance of {$1200.00} for the deferred interest per the Promotional Balance my account would not be charged that amount. However, this promotional program is a scam and should be investigated. Out of the {$7000.00} owed I have paid {$3600.00} toward that balance and as of today the balance owed is at {$7000.00}. ( This past XX/XX/XXXX I canceled my card. ) I can understand having to pay interest on this account but nonetheless a portion of these payments should go toward the principal to pay down the balance. As it stands today, this account may never be paid off during my lifetime. After seeing Care Credit advertise on XXXX I became upset and called them to voice my concern. They responded and sent me the contract I signed, However, I did not see the promotion program attached to this contract. I believe they are misleading consumers with false advertising. What has me upset is that I check my credit report every week to stay on top of my accounts. I saw where I was charged interest on this account which caused me to be over the limit thus affecting my credit scores. I called Care Credit again this morning and was told the promotional program is automatically renewed and even though I canceled my Care Credit Card with them, I'm still charged monthly interest on this account! This is absurd! What other company does this? I have paid my payments on time every month and have never been late! I had no inkling that I signed with a company who believe in scamming its consumers.

Complaint: In the past I had a Paypal Credit Account which I had closed. Recently Synchrony Bank Placed a closed remark on my Credit report when I closed this account I had in 2011. Never once prior to now was any credit or acknowledgement of this account or the standing or status of this account reported as being open. I should at least have had a status of satisfactory I was not using the account and owed nothing. It is unfair and illegal I am believing for this company to out of the blue report on something that I cancelled 7 years ago. I called them to ask to have this mark removed or at least fairly report there was never a problem with this account and report the good status it should have. I was met with responses that this could not be removed. Yet I know that to be untrue. I have been careful with my credit and this is definitely an unfair act. If this happened to me I am sure there are others with the same issue.

Complaint: I been a Synchrony bank credit card customer since 2013, when I first obtained a Walmart credit card. From that date forward, I have acquired several other credit cards which I have maintain in good standing and made every single payments on the timely bases. The issue at hand is the fact that several of those credit which are financed by synchrony bank are being locked and in turn I am prompt with messages to contact customer service which I have in order to gain access .Which is a problem since verification and security checks are always done with the phone numbers that are saved on the profile. Furthermore, there is never a need to contact personnel directly nor there is a need to provide their personnel with sensitive information. However, I have experienced such questionable practice with Synchrony bank at least three times on at least two retail credit card account. Now, while the JC penney credit card account was prompt with a number to contact customer service. On the XXXX XXXX account I was completely block from gaining access at all.

Reporting company used your report improperly
Complaint: I had a paypal credit account till XX/XX/XXXX. I then closed the account and started paying down my balance each month. When synchrony bank acquired the service from PayPal I had a notification saying they are going to start reporting to the credit bureau for any active account. Since my account was closed before the acquisition I was very surprised when my credit scores dropped by 30 point after they reported a closed account with a balance on it to the credit bureau. I then proceed to immediately contact then to remove the account, but all I get for them is that they are working on it and it is being escalated with no resolution. In the mean time I was looking to purchase a house and I couldnt get the interest rate I wanted because of this debacle. This isnt the first time this happened to with synchrony bank back in XX/XX/XXXX, I had a car care card and when I reported it lost they decided to close the account and open a new one instead of giving me a replacement card. This obviously affect my credit score as it reduced the age of my credit.

They won't bargain to lower interest rates when prime changes telling consumer the small print states they do not & consumer is stuck. I lost my job and will consider bankruptcy! As I was about to check out, the company offered to connect my Amazon pay account with purple.com to complete the purchase. I authorized the connection and processed to select a credit card to complete the checkout process. I selected the Amazon.com Store card as it listed : " Your purchase with your Amazon.com Store Card may qualify for one of the following offers ( scroll down for important details and to Print/Save ) : EQUAL MONTHLY PAYMENT AND SPECIAL FINANCING INFORMATION If your purchase is less than {$150.00}, your purchase will not qualify for special financing or equal monthly payments. Equal monthly payments - Pay equal monthly payments at 0 % APR : 6 month equal monthly payments on purchases of $ XXXX {$590.00}. 12 month equal monthly payments on purchases of {$600.00} or more. 24 month equal monthly payments on select purchases of {$600.00} or more. Provided you make your equal monthly payments on time and in full, you do not have to pay interest on this type of offer. If you do not make a payment on time or in full, you will be charged a late fee which will be assessed interest until paid. Equal monthly payments required. However, the issuing bank https : //www.synchronycredit.com/ is stating that my purchase is : AMAZON PAYMENTS XXXX WA 12 MONTHS EQUAL PAY 0 % APR AMZ*OnPurple '' - meaning only eligible for 12 monthly payments and not 24. I had contacted the bank which told me to speak to Amazon. So I contacted Amazon and they told me that my purchase is not eligible for 24 monthly payments and that the checkout process on Amazon would make that clear. Since I was not buying the product on Amazon and the product was not a selected purchase, I was not given the 24 monthly equal payments. The " EQUAL MONTHLY PAYMENT AND SPECIAL FINANCING INFORMATION '' stated during the checkout process does not make that eligibility clear and I believe I was misled as a customer of Amazon and client of both Amazon.com Store Card and Synchrony bank.

Complaint: This bank is crazy and not fixing this issues or concerns I have everytime I apply for any credit card their system refuses to process my applications as everyone else how is this fair or legal this is discriminatory they refuse to help me when I complain tell me their is nothing that can be done and keep trying and I do but its the same I get letters in my mail with no credit report being used just internal response high risk source of application Im sick and tired of their stupid system and them not caring to do anything to help me or fix this problem I want a store card I cant have one a credir card with an airline I cant because their system wont process any of my applications this is not fair my credit is not even pulled or checked to see if I qualify this gets me so angry and their executive office does nothing to help horrible bank
