Complaint: My loans have been in forbearance due to part-time enrollment at a XXXX college. I finished my last class in XX/XX/2018, and my first payment should not have been until 6 months from that date, which would be XX/XX/2018. However, knowing how sneaky private loan servicing companies ( i.e., Navient, my student loan servicer ) are, I checked my balances monthly. I checked in early XXXX and nothing was due. Then I checked again today, on XX/XX/2018, and saw a payment due on XX/XX/XXXX. Navient failed to notify me ( despite me being enrolled in email notifications ), and did not honor the 6-months timeline for forbearance to end after seizing enrollment. I believe Navient did so on purpose, to unsuspecting customers, forcing them to miss a payment. Please investigate, and I will surely be following up with Navient today as well.

Complaint: I have student loans through Navient from when I attended and graduated from XXXX University. My mother was my co-signer. In XX/XX/XXXX, my mother sadly passed away. My loans are in good standing and I have always paid on time. Navient is trying to take the full amount paid on the loans approximately {$27000.00} from my mothers Estate. I have made every attempt to continue to pay my loans. I am a survivor of XXXX XXXX and a single mom of XXXX young boys. I recently fled my home in XXXX XXXX to come to hide in NJ from my abusive husband on XX/XX/2018. I can not afford to give them all of my mothers estate as I need it to live. I will continue to pay my loans as promised and on time. Please help.

Complaint: I originally took out student loans with Sallie Mae for my 4 years at XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. After graduating sallie mae became Navient. Because I was not able to make payments due to financial hardship they gave my loans to a debt collector, XXXX XXXX. Starting in XX/XX/XXXX, once I had a stable job, I was able to set up a payment plan where I paid XXXX a month until I would be able to come up with a lump sum of XXXX to settle my loans. To date I've made XXXX in payments to XXXX XXXX. Despite this, Navient has reported my account as delinquent every month and I have not been able to raise my credit. I've contacted Navient about this multiple times, most recently XX/XX/XXXX and they keep informing me they no longer have my loan and transfer me to various debt collectors who also say they do not have my loan and transfer me back to Navient. XXXX XXXX has informed me that my account is in good standing with them, and they do not know why Navient keeps reporting me. My credit report says all of my Navient accounts are closed, so I do not understand why they continue to be reported as delinquent. I have filed a dispute with XXXX and I am waiting to hear back. I just want to make sure that this situation is investigated thoroughly because at this point I feel like I throwing away money and any effort made to improve my credit has been futile. I'm sure you understand my frustration in this matter and I'd appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you.

Complaint: I was enrolled in an auto payment plan with Navient and they just stopped taking my payments out with out my knowledge and turned me into the credit bureau for non payments and I just found out. Now my credit score is too low to get assistance in refinancing. They also harass me by calling me at least 10 times a day.

Complaint: I graduated in XX/XX/XXXX and began repayment of my loans. After some challenges, I was no longer able to make the monthly payment. I often communicated my struggles with Navient and kept them up to date on my status. I was informed I was not eligible for a forbearance and even with a lowered monthly plan I could not afford the rate they quoted. In XX/XX/XXXX I inquired with Navient if they reached out to my co-signer to determine if she was able to make the payment. At that time Navient informed me my co-signer was released in XX/XX/XXXX. I why was she released I never applied for a co-signer release and the Navient representative XXXX XXXX told me " We don't have to discuss that with you. '' On XX/XX/XXXX I reviewed the Navient co-signer release application and followed up with Mr. XXXX via email asking him again, why my co-signer was released without my knowledge as the application clearly states " Only you, the borrower, can apply for cosigner release. '' Additionally attached a copy of the co-signer release application from the Navient website and I informed Mr. XXXX " I have NOT EVER completed the attached application, I did not provide any of the required supporting documentation, nor did I meet the specific requirement of " My request will only be considered if I have demonstrated a satisfactory history of making 12 consecutive, scheduled principal and interest payments immediately preceding my cosigner release application submission and in accordance with the requirements of my loan ( s ) '' that is listed on the application. '' Additionally, I asked Mr. XXXX, where can I find a copy of this completed co-signer release application form that was submitted to have my co-signer released? Why was it authorized without me, the borrower 's request, my knowledge of it occurring, and without me meeting all the requirements of eligibility for the co-signer to be released? Mr. XXXX never provided me with a response to my questions. I followed up with him again on XX/XX/XXXX and he still refuses to acknowledge or respond to any questions regarding the release of my co-singer without me being the borrowers request or me meeting the eligibility for my co-signer to be released. There are no documents uploaded on my Navient account regarding the release of my co-signer and I was never sent any information in the mail regarding the release of my co-signer.

Complaint: I attended XXXX XXXX college back in XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. I had a student loan with sale mea that was sold to, two different companies. one XXXX and the other Navient. I never had my GED when I attended XXXX XXXX college and was not able to benefit from degree- I submitted paperwork to both loans ( ability to benefit ) will all required documentation I was told. I submitted application/GED/GED scores/final grads transcripts from XXXX XXXX college. XXXX accepted these quickly and approved the application and is now pending with department of education FASA. Navient on the other had, is the one who told me to attach these documents and now is trying everything in their power to decline my application. first the said I had to correct last name, so I did, then they told me to resubmit application because I did not have a references on it, so I did. Now they stated I need to submit an agreement from school. The college I went to is no longer, has be cut off by government funds so they filed bankruptcy and shut their doors due to corrupt actions. I can not get this paperwork, on the gov department website it stated to show proof of GED and Transcripts and application which I did. when I call them they will not put me on the phone with the correct people, when I ask for supervisor they hang up. I told them I would put in a complaint due to them not wanting to process my paperwork and they hung up on me. I don't know what to do if I loan approved and this loan will not- it is all from the same school. I can not get anyone from that loan to answer my questions, they refuse to process application and eat time I submit what they ask they come back with another and another, information school would have that no longer exists. please help.

Complaint: I co-signed on one of my daughters student loans and this loan is up to date. However, she has three more loans in her name only that are starting to get behind. Since XX/XX/2018, they have called me 16 times but will not leave a message. They have called 11 times from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, ( XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and 5 times from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( XXXX ) so far. My daughter has sent them a certified letter asking that they not to contact her family members, job or her neighbors ( they have her telephone number ).

During that time, I told Navient that I wanted to make payments under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. The representative assured me that I was making qualifying payments. I learned in XXXX that three of my loans did not qualify for the program and had to be refinanced. I also learned that I was paying a significantly higher payment than I needed to.
