Problems at the end of the loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Problem with paying off the loan
Complaint: Hi, I took out a loan for a care with Nissan finance in XXXX. The loan was for roughly {$18000.00}, for a XXXX XXXX. At the time, I was a grad student. I paid off the payments every month for an extended loan period. Over the following six years, I was a teacher and then later applied to law school. I paid the final payment when I was in law school, in the spring of my 2L year. I have an email titled " Payoff success '' from XX/XX/XXXX from Nissan. After that " success email, '' and paying the final payment, Nissan sent me my title to my car, which I received in XX/XX/XXXX. After receiving my title, I did not have any contact with Nissan finance for almost 8 months. I had paid off my loan in full ( I assumed ) without ever making a late payment, and had been given my title by Nissan as proof of that fact. Almost 7 months after receiving my title, I signed up for XXXX. I received a warning " overdue car payment. '' I was concerned, and assumed something fraudulent had occurred. At the time, I was in my 3L year of law school. I logged back into my old Nissan account, which I had not had any reason to log into since receiving my title. Nissan was claiming that a final payment of around {$150.00} had never been paid, and had been dinging my credit score for all the months after it had sent me my title for late car payments. My credit score-perfect before-had tanked. I called Nissan and they told me that my bank had refunded the final payment. They claimed they had called to alert me, but they absolutely never had. I have no emails or calls from Nissan, and I'm sure they can't point to any either. I spoke to at least five different people at Nissan, trying to figure out what to do. I sent in a payment for the roughly {$200.00} in XX/XX/XXXX( I think there had been some late fees, but I'm not sure ), but before my payment could process, Nissan " forgave '' the final {$150.00}. So, after all those months of dinging me for {$150.00} out of almost {$20000.00} total, when I tried to pay it, they in effect would not let me pay it. I called again, trying to figure out who to talk to in order to get black mark off my credit report. A woman gave me an address to mail a letter to. I mailed a letter with all these specifics, my account number, etc. to the address in spring XXXX. Months later, in summer XXXX, I received a letter stating that it was within Nissan 's discretion to remove the overdue payment mark and they were refusing to do so. It's a little funny, because I'm now a barred attorney in New York and I work at a law firm, but I feel completely helpless with this situation. I have no idea where to start or what to do to protect what I know are my rights under the law. I've also been overwhelmed as a first year associate at a law firm, and haven't had time to figure out how to resolve this issue. I know that it was fraudulent to assess these allegations against me after I paid off my entire care payment in full. I know that, even if I had missed the final payment, or somehow my bank refused to pay out the {$150.00}, it seems like Nissan is in the wrong for sending me my title but never contacting me once about this allegedly unpaid payment. But I just don't know what I'm supposed to do about it. I have the letter Nissan sent me in response to my letter, and somewhere I must have a copy of the letter I sent to Nissan. I have my Nissan account number, and Nissan must have a record of six years of timely payments. I recently applied for an apartment in New York, and was denied the apartment despite making a good salary per year because of the " serious delinquencies '' on my credit history because of this Nissan problem. If I have to, I suppose I can hire an attorney for this problem myself. But it just feels WRONG and generally like Nissan should be held accountable. I assume if they are doing this to me, they are doing it to a bunch of people less able to advocate for themselves than I am. Could you please help me to hold Nissan accountable, and point me in the right direction for what I should do? Thank you, XXXX

Complaint: I had a lease taken out with Nissan Motor Acceptance XXXX to which all payments were made in a timely manner. At the end of the lease they sent a separate bill for the over mileage etc. Since this is a different agreement it should be reported separately not as part of the lease.

Problems at the end of the loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Lease

Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finish
Complaint: We returned our XXXX XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX, they took possession of the vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX and we obtained a new lease on the same day, XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX was our sales person, he took the keys to the XXXX XXXX and presented our keys to the XXXX XXXX XXXX that we began a new lease on. In XX/XX/XXXX we received a call from Nissan Finance followed by a letter stating that we owed them {$770.00} for rental and excess wear and tear. XXXX XXXX never communicated to Nissan Finance that they took possession of the vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX. Additionally, after taking possession of the vehicle XXXX never walked over the vehicle with us to let us know that there may be additional fees for wear and tear. By not walking around the vehicle with us and documenting any damage XXXX has prejudiced us as we had no ability to discuss the alleged damages. Also, since XXXX had possession of the vehicle from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX they can not make any allegations of wear and tear against us. XXXX may have caused the alleged damages that Nissan is attempting to collect and has sent to a collections agency. We demand that XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX take care of this bill as it was due to their incompetence that a bill arose from this situation. Additionally, if there is anything against my credit, I demand that XXXX and Nissan remove any of this against my credit immediately.

Getting a loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Fraudulent loan
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I was contacted by a salesman by the name of XXXX, who had previously notified me by phone call. I informed XXXX on the previous phone call I was not comfortable trying to purchase a new vehicle as it had only been one year since my last purchase. On the phone call that took place on XX/XX/XXXX, I informed XXXX that I strongly did not feel comfortable purchasing a new vehicle because my credit had suffered since my last purchase and that I also did not have any money to put down. XXXX was extremely aggressive and assure of himself. He was very overbearing and continued to insist he could get a deal done. I drove down to the dealership and was shown only one vehicle as was allowed to only test drive one vehicle in which I later discovered was one of the most expensive vehicles in the lot. It was an all wheel drive model that offered lower gas efficiency than the vehicle I was currently in at that time. I drive for XXXX and XXXX so this is a big issue for me and XXXX knew that I used my vehicle for that purpose. So there was no attempt to sell me a vehicle that met my needs. Once in the sales office XXXX informed me that I needed a down payment to get into a new vehicle and again I informed him that I had no money to put down on a new vehicle. I told him the only thing I had was my 2007 XXXX XXXX and he said that would be fine. I was also coached by XXXX on how much income to state in order to gain approval as according to the general manager I later spoke with no proof of income was needed. By this point, I had been at the dealership for a long time and sitting which greatly increases the level of pain in my back from a previous motorcycle accident. At this point, XXXX brought me a bottle of water and I took an XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX. After some time, XXXX came back and said he got the deal done with the trade in of my 2017 XXXX XXXX XXXX ( I owed {$26000.00} and it was to be paid off ) and my paid off 2007 XXXX XXXX with no money down. Not long after XXXX approached me and stated they wanted me to sign a different contract that I would like because it offered me a lower APR and a lower monthly payment. I was not told that a {$490.00} UVP would be added and that my extended service contract for the same car would increase from {$1100.00} to {$1800.00} for the same vehicle. Although my APR went from 8.90 % to 6.90 % and my monthly payment went from {$830.00} to {$820.00} the total amount financed went from {$40000.00} to {$41000.00}. By the time of the second contract, I was extremely tired and a little loopy from my medication so I did not notice the changes and other issues with the second contract, such as under number 7a., there is no credit listed for my trade-in sales tax credit which should have shown # XXXX. Additionally, the second contract was done in the form of an e-contract instead of the standard long form. I had never seen an e-contract before and the format is very different. I first contacted my salesman XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX about concerns with the car. He responded once by phone but stopped responding after. As a result, that evening I drove to XXXX XXXX and I met with a manager by the name of XXXX, who was involved in the sale, about the same concerns. There was no attempt to offer a suitable resolution. On XX/XX/XXXX, I met with a gentleman with whom identified himself as a some form of manager and no longer works there that produced no suitable resolution. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation by telephone to discuss the issue and it was stated to me, by not only the customer service representative I originally talked to but after requesting to speak to a manager him as well, that I needed to resolve the issue with XXXX XXXX although NMAC was the lender who approved the loan based on the fraudulent and misrepresented financial information provided by XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX, I sent an e-mail to General Manager XXXX XXXX that resulted in being contacted by XXXX XXXX to come in and meet with Mr. XXXX to discuss my concerns. That meeting occurred on XX/XX/XXXX and ended with him throwing a tantrum and storming out of his office. Then a gentleman by the name of XXXX walked in and introduced himself as the Sales Manager. He provided me with his number and informed me to contact him if I had any concerns. I contacted him on XX/XX/XXXX about the discrepancies in the two contracts, in which I still have both copies. He basically down played them, although stating it was illegal for me to be allowed to keep copies of both contracts I signed and that the first contract should have been returned before I signed the second contract. I then contacted both the General and Sales Manager by e-mail on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX to inform both the contract was intentionally and deliberately inputted with fraudulent financial information. This is shown in the form of a down payment placed into 7b. of the contract in the amount of {$550.00} cash down payment. I never provided XXXX XXXX with any down payment whether cash or any other monetary form. It is my belief that XXXX XXXX placed this fraudulent amount of a cash down payment into the contract to gain contract and loan approval. At no point in time did any representative discuss a {$550.00} down payment with me nor did I ever provide anyone at XXXX XXXX with a down payment of any kind. I made it very clear to XXXX on several occasions that I could not provide any money down because I didn't have it. So during this entire ordeal, I felt extremely pressured with strong hand tactics by XXXX XXXX to purchase a vehicle I could not afford nor had money to put down or credit worthy enough for such a large purchase. XXXX XXXX was so aggressive in the sale of the vehicle that they deliberately misrepresented financial information onto the contract to gain contract and loan approval. Additionally, it should be illegal for a car dealership to approve a contract based on information from a previous purchase ( in my case two years previous ) without verifying an applicants sources of income because peoples ' income and credit changes over time so the income and credit present during the last purchase of a vehicle might not be the same currently, in which both my credit and income had changed greatly. The contact for XXXX XXXX is as follows in case it is needed : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NV XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account status incorrect
Complaint: As of XX/XX/XXXX I called and confirmed with Nissan Infinity regarding the status of an auto loan I had with them. The representative confirmed that the account is paid in full as agreed and no charge-off status should reflect anymore on my credit reports. However, as of XX/XX/XXXX, the status of the Closed Nissan account ( opened on XX/XX/XXXX ) on XXXX shows as charge-off under payment. This is wrong, because it says that dispute is resolved. Either XXXX is not up-to-date or the creditor failed to report the right status of payment.

Managing the loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Problem with additional products or services purchased with the loan
Complaint: /My husband and I went to the XXXX, AZ Nissan dealership because a close friend recommended the owner as an honest businessman. We spent 8hrs at the dealership on XX/XX/XXXX and were assured a loan with 8 % interest and a $ XXXX/mon payment with GAP insurance, a maintenance service contract and extended warranty. We were very upfront about my husband 's situation, including that he had no credit history and was a permanent resident. The owner assured us this was not a problem. We traded in my husband 's car for {$1000.00} reduction of the loan, and paid a {$500.00} cash deposit. We signed the paperwork and left with the new car. Three days later we were called back to the dealership by the finance person, XXXX XXXX, and told there was a problem with the paperwork and we had to come back in. We did go back to the dealership on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX told us that the 8 % deal did not go through and we had to sign a new deal. When I asked why the deal didn't go through he told me it was because my husband had no credit history and was only a resident. I let XXXX know that we had already discussed this a week ago and had been very upfront with them at the time of purchase when were were assured the original deal. XXXX said it didn't matter and this was the circumstance and we had to sign a new transaction. This was my husband 's first new car purchase and after driving the car for a week already he was in love with it and wanted to keep it. So my husband agreed and began signing paperwork again. As my husband was reviewing the final papers with XXXX, I noticed that the interest rate was now 17.55 %, the GA/P insurance was not listed, nor was the extended warranty, and the monthly payments were over $ 450/mon. At that point I was enraged, told my husband to stop signing, as I was not going to allow him to enter into a bad financial deal. I told XXXX we were NOT taking the car, to give us our trade in back and we would be going elsewhere to purchase a vehicle. Then XXXX told me to " hold on '', he would get the owner. The owner came into the room and asked me what the problem was, and I told him that we were promised certain terms, which we signed for and drove away with the car understanding the deal was finalized. That we were NOT okay with the current situation and wanted our car back. The owner told us to leave with the car, he would personally guarantee that the original terms would be met and they would call us back. Another 10 days later, on XX/XX/XXXX we went back to the dealership and signed the " final '' papers, that " guaranteed '' our loan with Nissan Finance at 8 %, $ XXXX/mon, and was only supposed to have GAP insurance coverage, with no service contract or extended warranty. When my husband signed the " final '' deal, there was a line listed as " service contract, {$2100.00} '' and when I asked XXXX if that was the GAP insurance, he assured me it was. I asked for a copy of the " final '' paperwork and XXXX told me not to worry about it, they would mail me a copy. We were never " mailed a copy ''. We made all of our payments to Nissan, often times overpaying to pay down the principal faster. On XX/XX/XXXX my husband was hit by another car on his way to work. The accident was severe and I was fairly certain our auto insurance company was going to total the car out, due to the FMV of the vehicle at the time and what it would cost to fix the damages. It was also as I was starting a new job and training, and my husband and I were and are working opposite schedules. My husband needed to go to the emergency room as a result of the accident, and I began dealing with our insurance company and dealing with finding a rental vehicle so my husband could continue to work. As I tried to get ahold of Nissan Finance, they were not available after XXXX when I was off work or the weekends. The phone number I was given on my voicemail to call did not allow for a message to be left and just hung up on me. My car insurance claims agent also took a week off for vacation a week into the claim and was unable to be reached. When he returned from vacation and communicated that they were indeed totaling the vehicle, I was again go back in touch with the tow lot to give them an update ( it had been 2 weeks now from the time of the accident and tow ) around XXXX, upon which I was informed that Nissan Finance had just repossessed the vehicle that morning, Friday, XX/XX/XXXX. I tried to online chat with a Nissan Finance agent that Friday, XX/XX/XXXX because their department was on CST and already closed, at which time the agent told me he was unable to help me but gave me a phone number that would have a person available to speak with on Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX CST. I thanked him and ended the chat. Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX I called the phone number but was shocked to learn it was an 800 # for XXXX. On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, I finally was able to get through on my 30min lunch break from work to reach a Nissan Finance person, but was told that my husband would have to call in and give permission for Nissan Finance to speak to me. I hung up, called my husband immediately and asked him to call and do so, which he did. By the time this all happened my lunch break was over. I called on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX to try and 1 ) find out where the car was physically located so I could relay that information to my car insurance claims adjuster so they could complete their final valuation of the vehicle, and 2 ) to get our personal items out of the vehicle, and 3 ) stop any auction of the car. The Nissan Finance company bounced me back and forth between their total loss department and collections department for 35mins. I had to hang up and go back to work. On Wednesday, XXXX, I called back again and had the first representative I spoke with make a note in my husband 's record about the circumstances and asked her to please not bounce me between departments. I was finally given the repo lot company 's name and phone number, but was told they were not able to give me the physical location, I would have to call the lot and get that information myself. I hung up, called the lot and obtained the information and scheduled an appointment for my husband to pick up our personal items from the vehicle. Then returned to work. On Thursday, XXXX, I called Nissan again on my lunch break and requested that a GAP claim be initiated because we owed more than what the car insurance company was going to pay for the total loss, and was told that we DID NOT HAVE GAP COVERAGE! The agent sent me an email with an attached file of what they had on record and told me my husband and I would have to go to the dealership and have them update the contract on file to reflect GAP coverage. That night when I got home from work I called the dealership and asked to speak with a person in the finance department. I was given to " XXXX '' ( not sure how to spell his name ). XXXX told me that there was no GAP coverage on record. I told him what happened at the time of purchase and he told me that XXXX no longer worked with them and that the only thing they could do would be to refund the " service contract '' of {$2100.00}, but that my husband had to be the one to do that. So Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, my husband and I went to the XXXX Nissan dealership and asked to speak with the general manager, understanding that we would have to sign some paperwork after requesting the money refunded and be able to leave. We were shown to the GM 's office ( XXXX ). I told him the entire history of the situation, including that his finance person, XXXX, told us to come down to sign papers to request the service contract refund. XXXX told us that he was very sorry, but that XXXX did not work there anymore, he was sympathetic to our situation, but that our records were in physical storage and would have to be pulled for him to look at and verify to see what he could do. I showed him ALL of the original papers that I had kept together from the purchase, including ALL maintenance records on the vehicle since we had only serviced the vehicle at their dealer 's service department. He looked at the papers, but said he would have to look and see what they had in records, even though it was clearly evident that I had all of the carbon copies. He would call me back on Monday and let me know. I told him that my husband and I work opposite schedules and are only able to come together on Saturday mornings to sign papers. Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, I was left a voicemail while at work that we indeed did not have GAP insurance and there was nothing the dealer could do. My husband and I went back to the dealership on Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX and again asked to speak with XXXX. I told him, that it was pretty XXXX that he would not stand up and do the right thing because the finance person was no longer an employee, that excuse was flimsy, and that the documents filed in storage were clearly misleading. He said he would have to speak with the owner and see what he could do because it " was his money ''. We left again waiting for another phone call from XXXX. We did not receive a phone call, and were unable to go to the dealership on Satuday, XX/XX/XXXX due to a prior obligation, but DID return to the dealership on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX because I had the day off due to the XXXX XXXX holiday. XXXX had another finance person join us this time to explain to me that the GAP wasn't included because a document was in the file that showed it was removed. I had a copy of that document and pointed out to the GM, XXXX, that it was from the XX/XX/XXXX deal that we did NOT accept, which was indicated at the bottom of the record through XXXX 's personal handwriting that also stated " finance rate increased '' as to the reason the GAP was removed. I told him that was not the final deal we signed, because IN FACT, the finance rate did NOT increase, but was at 8 %. I told him even if they were not going to honor the GAP coverage, they needed to refund the {$2100.00} service contract that was clearly outlined on the document. After not returning my GAP document, XXXX, the GM, told me he would have to contact our insurance agent to confirm that they had not cancelled the contract, because insurance agents " do that to decrease the amount they have to pay out for the vehicle ''. When I told the GM that there was no way our insurance agent would have done that because they would have had to have had our permission AND that we had already been to the dealership THREE TIMES trying to cancel the contract ourselves to get the money refunded, the GM said that he wouldn't be able to do anything because it was XXXX XXXX, a holiday, and everything was closed. He promised they would call me back on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX with news. Tuesday came and went. I called the dealership yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, but was put through to the GM 's voicemail. I was around XXXX, and I left my phone number and a message asking him to please return my phone call as he promised by the end of the day. He did NOT return my call. Nissan Finance is now charging us {$1200.00} in fees for repossessing the vehicle and late fees for " missing monthly payments '', even though my car insurance company issued them an over {$7600.00} partial payment for loss settlement. Even IF we agree to pay these RIDICULOUS additional charges, the service contract refund and the final payment from my car insurance company should cover the balance owed on the loan, with an actual refund to my husband. ALL I WANT IS THE DEALER TO HONOR THE SERVICE CONTRACT REFUND!!!! I do NOT understand why they are being so dishonest and egregious in this situation. WE WILL NEVER, EVER DO ANOTHER DEAL WITH NISSAN AND WARN EVERYONE TO DO THE SAME. PLEASE HELP US GET OUR MONEY BACK.

Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: Infiniti Finance on XXXX XXXX reported late payment to my wife 's and my credit history. Actually we are not responsible for the late payment. As per the deal the dealer gave they were supposed to pay the first two payment : the one that you pay during the signing of the lease and the second one which is the one that will be officially billed by the finance department. Dealership forgot and I came to know about this when I went online to pay my bill from XXXX XXXX which I am supposed to pay. The dealership owned up the mistake and paid the one they had to pay. Infiniti finance refused to update the incorrect credit reporting and asked me to submit proofs for all this. I called in created a ticket with customer service and submitted the required docs. Processing time is 6-8 weeks and they don't send you an email with decision you have to keep calling and they will just close it after they make a decision. Since XX/XX/XXXX to this date XX/XX/XXXX I have opened multiple tickets with their customer service. Each time they bring up new issue with the documentations. ie lets say there are five things they wanted in the body of the letter they tell one each time they reject. And finally, one of the customer service agent himself dictated the body of the letter to me so that the dealer can print this in their letter pad and then I can submit it. Now they rejected that also. The dealership clearly states that it was their fault etc but they just will find new issues all the time. As I am typing this the customer service agent I am working with is trying to come up with new wording to cater towards the new rejection reasons from infiniti finance. They are just so painful and so irresponsible. I am not sure why they have to do this even when their own customer service agents says they can not figure the reason why they keep rejecting the letter or the plea to correct the incorrect credit reporting. Now latest rejection reason which they didn't tell when they rejected before is that they want the dealership to put in the letter why they made a late payment and why they are agreeing to pay it on my behalf. Similar is my experience with another ticket I have with them. I got a parking ticket and I paid on time. They paid it again after I paid it without consulting me. And now they have not recouped the money from the city for months now and I will have to pay the same amount again to infiniti. Their investigation takes more than 30 days, I am not being notified of the results, there is difficulty submitting or get details of a dispute etc. I need somebody to help me. They make you feel helpless. Because of this incorrect reporting I got rejected for my wife 's student loan refinancing and finally when we got a refinancing we got a lower rate than we should have as because of all this my credit score went down from 800s to lower 700s.

Getting a loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Lease

Credit denial
Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 my husband and I selected and began the lease process for a XXXX XXXXXXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. We were told the lease had been approved, the dealership changed our auto insurance over to the new car, removed all of our property from the vehicle, removed toll stickers etc. I was told they had to simply verify my social security number and then the salesman would come over to put on new tags etc. We were told it was approved many times before and while we removed our belongings. Two days later we received calls that told us they were unable to approve the lease. My husband is devastated! We told our family and friends about the new vehicle. showed pictures etc as we were promised and guaranteed it was approved. We were told by the dealership that it was based on Infiniti Financial services decision and there was nothing they could do about it. We now have to return the car to them and take back our old car, change insurance over, get new toll stickers and security bar codes etc. This is unfair, we have no explanation other than they could not verify my social security number which is ridiculous. It is very easy to verify this and I offered to bring any and all information.

Confusing or misleading advertising or marketing
Complaint: Nissan XXXX GA - XXXX XXXX - I would like to start out by saying, I should have paid more attention to the deal and not trusted the Salesman ( lesson learned ), but I guess I was excited about getting a new car, never will that happen again. I came into your dealership to get an oil change XX/XX/XXXX and was approached by your Salesman ( XXXX ) about getting a new car, he asked what my credit score was and I advised a 700+ ( 1st mistake ), he said we can get you a new car with a low APR, I stated as long as my car note stays the same I'm interested, I paid into the 2015 XXXX for 2years ( Nissan made money off my interest on that car ), but I'm willing to start over if the price is right. We proceeded with the sale and my car note went from $ XXXX/month 5yrs to $ XXXX/month for 6 1/2 years, I'm like ok, it went up {$50.00} for a brand new car, not thinking or doing the math, until XXXX called me to update my car, with the same Sales Pitch lower APR., I went into your dealership and test drove a 2019 XXXX XXXX Sticker Price {$35000.00} and was told my car note will be about $ XXXX/month I said No, you guys are ripping me off. I was told I have {$15000.00} in negative equity and I'm paying almost {$50000.00} for a 2017 XXXX XXXX, which is only worth {$30000.00}. I thought that by me being financed through Nissan that they took care of their customers, I was wrong. Your Employees are a brand of Nissan and I feel like I was robbed, they took advantage of me and my credit. I assumed that by having good credit that I can get what I want at a good price ( wrong again ). I take pride in having good credit and now I'm stuck paying for a car that has no value, I feel this Company took advantage of me. I will never by Nissan again. I paid over {$43000.00} ( without finance charges ) for a 2017 XXXX XXXX that had a sticker price of {$32000.00}. I have been with XXXX XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX and have never been late with a payment. Wow is all I can say.

Complaint: I had a voluntary repo and since then, the full amount of the vehicle was placed on my credit report. I know typically the vehicle is sold at auction, but Nissan is reporting the full balance to my credit reports which is incorrect. I don't recall receiving anything from them in terms of what the vehicle was sold for in the time that's allowed for the state of GA. For that reason, I feel it should be removed from my credit report.

Problems at the end of the loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Lease

Problem when attempting to purchase vehicle at the end of the lease
Complaint: I had a lease for a XXXX XXXX. Near the end of the lease, I went in to XXXX XXXX XXXX, in XXXX XXXX, GA looking to purchase a car to replace the XXXX. The sales person and also general manager told me that if I purchase a car with them, and work with their finance person ( instead of getting a loan on my own ), I would not have to pay the final lease payment of {$280.00}. It shows 'none ' for 'balance owed on trade ' on the purchase agreement for the new vehicle ( attached ). After many calls, texts and exchange of information, they are still billing me for the last payment, and have now sent the 'debt ' to a collection agency ( XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX , XXXX XXXX XXXX GA ). I have a confirmed text from the sales rep, stating that I don't owe any more payments ( attaching a copy of that text ), but he and the XXXX are not standing by it.

Complaint: In XX/XX/2015, I ended my lease early from Nissan Motor acceptance Corp and as part of the deal to get us into another Nissan, the XXXX XXXX agreed to absorb the payments. Upon purchase of the new Nissan I didnt not receive a bill or call from the company. I recently applied for a mortgage learning that this bill is on my credit report as derogatory and I am unable to get a mortgage. I called Nissan and they were able to produce the attached bill but said they were unable to accept payment because the debt was so old and they didnt see an open account to apply a payment to. They did an investigation and determined they wont accept a payment or remove it from my report. Nissan motor acceptance Corp told me that this particular dealership had many customers fall victim to this. Please help!

Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: My contract for my vehicle states I have a 15 day grace period. I have NEVER been 30 days past due on any car loan ever. Nissan called me repeatedly on day 6 and day 7 in an attempt to collect a debt. Nissan has never contacted me before the 15 day period has elapsed, why are they calling? It appears they are trying to change the terms of the contract. Nissan and NMAC are the worst companies to deal with. Nissan dealer damaged my vehicle and did not inform me. I had to make two additional trips to get the damage they caused repaired. Nissan offered two oil changes in compensation for my inconvenience. I complained about Nissan to the State and I believe these calls are in retaliation for filing a complaint.

False statements or representation

Debt collection: Auto debt

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: Nissan Motor Acceptance wrote the final status on a totaled vehicle that I financed through them as " {$7500.00} written off '' after I paid every penny that was not covered by my auto insurance. Now I had a conversation with them in XX/XX/2018 and during the fall of 2018 as well during which they promised me that once I paid the full balance owed they would remove the charge off status. Now " written off '' and " charged off '' mean the same thing. In other words, they deceived me into paying the full balance owed without removing the charge-off status nor indicating that the full balance was paid off, not Charged off. They lied to me. They need to delete that status ASAP. I can prove every single payment I made through my bank statements, including the final payment that reduced the balance on that account to XXXX. I even called to confirm how much I owed. They misreported this account and they need to own up to it and fix their wrongdoing.
