Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I leased a car through Nissan. XX/XX/XXXX my car was stolen and involved in accident. When I called my insurance I was informed that I only had liability and the car was n't fully covered. When getting the car the salesman told me that he called my insurance company to verify my insurance and told me I was good to go. I have a paper where he said he called, but my insurance has no record of him calling. The finance manager then went on to fill out the lease agreement as if I was fully covered and signed the contract. I feel I was mislead and lied to. By North Carolina state requirements the dealership is required to call to verify the purchasers insurance. If in fact he did call then this would n't be an issue. The General Manager told me that they do not have to check customers insurance and that if you show them an insurance card that they assume you are fully covered ( I find that hard to believe ).

Complaint: This is my second time filing with the CFPB. Nissan was supposed to pay off a residual balance when I purchased my new car. They did not pay it off as promised and I received a bill for over 2k. After being threatened by their management staff to call the police and have me arrested for asking them to pay off the bill ( as they promised ) I contacted the CFPB. They then back peddled and stated they would have this bill taken care of. I am not receiving collection calls about this bill, because they have yet to pay it off completely. I settle on a mortgage in 1 week and now this account is placed in collections. I am contacting an attorney and looking for some sort of compensation on this matter. Hours on the phone, credit being affected, threatened my father and myself of being arrested after questioning their management staff and now possibly affecting my upcoming settlement on my new house. This is not the first time Nissan has messed up. A year ago they applied my auto-debit payments to a car that I no longer owned and reported me delinquent to the XXXX. Nissan allowed someone to purchase my old car that I turned it and they broke traffic laws and I received the bill and had to prove it was not me. This is a joke, they are supposed to be a professional reputable company.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX RE : illegal Business Practices at Infinity-Nissan Infinity Acct # XXXX I have a lease contract for 24 months with Infinity Financial for a vehicle that started XX/XX/XXXX and will end XX/XX/XXXX. All monthly payment has been made.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I became aware that infinity was tell us that they are missing A payment. Since XX/XX/XXXX. And that all the payments we were making was Being posted as late. On the phone, we agreed to make a payment including late Charges for {$400.00} and we agreed that I would send the payment to them.
We send the payment to Infinity the same day. ( copy attached ) Also, they advise us that they are missing the XX/XX/XXXX Payment. We faxed them our bank statement showing that in fact a payment for {$300.00} was made on XX/XX/XXXX.
See copy attached and Letter from Bank. It is very strange that if we are missing a payment, they would call us so late on this even after they were reporting us as being late for every month.
On XXXX unknow to us Infinity illegally repossessed the vehicle, this is less Then 30 days that we are to return the Lease vehicle. ( how buzzer is that ).
This is a Clear tactic infinity is using to negligently forced sell the vehicle to us. At this point I have requested over three times to get my payment history with them but they Keep stalling, signaling that there is something they wish to hide.
We are proving clearly that Infinity has received all the payment required on a lease And we have called talked to them several times but they do not wish to admit that they Made a mistake and keep telling us that its over. " We will sell the car at Auction prices and bill you the Balance '' This is not our agreement, we do not wish to purchase the vehicle. This is Clear to me that infinity financial has a vested interest in trying to force sell this vehicle To me a Retail prices. A classic example of a big Bully.
If infinity Financial tries to unfairly pursue this illegal activity. I have no choice but to take Legal action. This is a demand that infinity return the vehicle from where they picked it up from And let the course of our agreement run out on XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: I returned my car on XX/XX/2016 to a Nissan dealership. The early lease termination written quote was for {$1400.00}. I was also informed by their representative that I have a 10 day grace period. Given that I was unable to find a dealership that would take my car before the XX/XX/2016 I was forced to keep it for another 2 days. Up on my return I was informed that it would take about 3 days for the return to register in their system. On XXXX/XXXX/2016 I mailed them a check in the requested amount of {$1400.00}. Based on the document that Nissan provided me, that amount satisfies my obligation to them. XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from Nissan. They stated that I owe them an additional {$350.00} for XX/XX/XXXX, even though they also received a payment of {$360.00} that covers my possession of the vehicle till XX/XX/XXXX and I no longer had possession of the car after XX/XX/XXXX. Since my maturity date was on the XXXX of every month and I was forced to keep the car longer, I do n't feel that I should pay the sum of {$350.00} or any other fees for XX/XX/XXXX. Given that my lease payment is {$360.00} a month, the sum of {$350.00} makes no sense to me. After numerous attempts of speaking with Nissan no one was able to explain to me what the {$350.00} is for.

Complaint: I returned a lease ( XXXX XXXX ) XX/XX/XXXX, the car was sold at auction XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX. The plates were never returned to XXXX by the XXXX XXXX dealership, when the car was sold it appears the plates were still with/on the car. XX/XX/XXXX, I received a parking ticket for the vehicle that I have not owned for 3 years. After contacting the leasing company they issued me a letter stating the above so the court ( XXXX, NJ ) would dismiss the ticket. Separately I contacted XXXX via their Customer Advocacy Office in XXXX, requesting them to mark the plates as lost. They declined indicating I was no longer listed as the owner ( even though the plates are still in my name ) and that request has to come from Infiniti/Nissan. After weeks of back and forth calls with Infiniti/Nissan, they said they will only provide the previous letter issued and advised I should report the plates as stolen. Technically the car was not stolen, but the license plates are being used illegally. I was told Infiniti/Finance checked with their legal department and declined my request, I asked to speak with someone in that department and was told they would not speak with me. I spoke with an attorney and she advised filing a formal complaint as Infiniti is clearly at fault for not returning the plates, or catching that they were still on the vehicle when it was sent for auction. As this was my first lease I did not know that I was responsible for returning the plates since the plates were sent to the dealership upon my purchase of the vehicle. Infiniti finance has closed the door on assisting, when all XXXX is requesting is one sentence be added to their letter. I even checked with the local police department to see if they can assist and they advised it was the responsibility of Infiniti to work this out with XXXX.

My auto insurance company 's payment posted to my account for the date of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX.
