Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: I returned a leased vehicle in XXXX 2017. When I returned the vehicle, I informed the dealer that my address was not current, but he told me not to worry about it.
Today, I was contacted by a debt collector on behalf of Nissan Motor Acceptance Company. Because this was the first I had ever heard of any outstanding balance, I requested verification of the debt. The collector told me that they had sent verification but would not tell me to which address they had sent it. She directed me to NMAC.
I called NMAC and, as predicted, they had mailed the invoice for a {$400.00} lease disposition fee to my old address. Despite having my email and phone number, NMAC did not try to reach me by phone or email and did not recognize that their mail was being returned. Instead, the first contact I received about an alleged debt was from a debt collector. I am unsure if this has impacted my credit report, but I should not suffer harm because of NMAC 's incompetence.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, Nissan-Infiniti LT contacted me, via a letter. The letter stated that they could not compete my request because I did not have the full account number. XX/XX/XXXX, Nissan-Infiniti LT again contacted me via a letter. They stated the lease terms can not be altered for me. IFS must administer to the terms of the contact that were agreed to at inception. XX/XX/XXXX, I, XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted Nissan-Infiniti LT via a letter. This letter discussed the reasons for my hardship. I was arrested and taken to jail for resisting arrest. I had to pay for a criminal lawyer to get my case handled. Also, I was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at the time.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX a XXXX year old man went in to Nissan to purchase a car and was talked into a lease. Not quite understanding, he thought he was purchasing the car, therefore, he grossly overpaid the contract. XXXX XXXX was asked to return the car back to the dealership under the guise they could get more money in the sale. Without speaking to XXXX XXXX and providing the amount the car sold for, Nissan turned him over to a collection agency for some outrages amount. This is the second complaint we have made to this company regarding Nissan Acceptance Corp, the first one was rejected by Nissan as they had no authorization. Please be assured one is attached along with the supporting papers of the customer being taken advantage by Elder Abuse. While securing the authorization, we had a chance to research prior complaints which seen to be in abundance and concentrated on the elderly..

Problem with fees charged
Complaint: I Leased an XXXX XXXX in XXXX and as per XXXX tax laws paid the tax upfront for the full term of the lease at the beginning of the lease at the XXXX tax rate. Move forward 2.3 years. I moved to XXXX XXXX and informed Infiniti Finance of my move and new address. Within days my monthly payment went up by nearly {$30.00}. When i called them, they said it was sales tax for XXXX XXXX which had to be paid in accordance with XXXX XXXX taxation law for the remainder of the lease, i informed them that i had paid the tax upfront in XXXX at the beginning of the lease so why am i paying it again? They were very aggressive in outlining that i HAD to pay more tax in XXXX XXXX . I then went to the XXXX XXXX XXXX to register the car and met a XXXX tax assessor as part of the XXXX XXXX process of registration, i gave him all my details outlining the car was a lease taken out in XXXX , he then gave me a tax-exempt certificate stating i had already paid tax on the vehicle in full in XXXX and that no tax was due in XXXX XXXX . I then called Infiniti Finance and explained what the tax assessor in XXXX XXXX had said but i dont think the lady believed me and again gave me the same response that i HAD to pay the tax in accordance with XXXX XXXX tax law and that the XXXX XXXX tax assessor at the XXXX did not know what he is talking about. I then sent a scanned copy of the tax-exempt certificate to Infiniti Finance. No one called me or emailed me. I then noticed when I logged into my account that my payment had been adjusted back to where it was before I moved to XXXX XXXX . When I called Infiniti they said that I did not have to pay tax in XXXX XXXX because it was paid in XXXX and that I was exempt as I had said. Infiniti Financial are a huge finance company, my worry is that they do not understand the tax laws between different states in the USA. They charge not knowing the requirements and the consumer unknowingly is paying a tax to Infiniti Finance twice that is not required and I also suspect that they will never see those tax dollars again. I certainly doubt that Infiniti will refund the money at their own will.

Complaint: In the process of obtaining a 7-figure home mortgage loan, I recently had the opportunity to review a copy of my credit report at the XXXX, XXXX and XXXX consumer reporting agencies. Contained therein was an account for Nissan Motor Acceptance under account number XXXX. <P/><P/>Vehicle purchase in XX/XX/XXXX - it was traded in without a single delinquency in XX/XX/XXXX. With that said, the XXXX, XXXX and XXXX credit reports each contained 1 single 30-day delinquency. This reported delinquency negatively impacted my credit score. <P/><P/>I disputed the erroneous late payment with Nissan Motor Acceptance, in addition to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. It was my contention that this account was never delinquent. <P/><P/>On or about XX/XX/XXXX Nissan caused this account to be " updated '' at the XXXX, XXXX and XXXX to show 31-60 days for the month of XX/XX/XXXX - 5 full years after the account was closed. <P/><P/>My credit score at the XXXX, XXXX and XXXX consumer reporting agencies immediately dropped more than 90 points as a result of a " current '' delinquency being reported. I am now in serious danger of losing my mortgage approval, in addition to a six-figure deposit. <P/><P/>I contacted Nissan, in addition to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX to report the error. Nissan Acceptance advised that the account was reporting correctly and that I should take my complaint directly to the credit bureaus. <P/><P/>I entered a dispute on XX/XX/XXXX with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX but was advised that it would take 30 days to complete the dispute. This is unacceptable. Not only have I never been late on this account, the account is now reporting currently delinquent as if I was late in current time.

Complaint: I submitted complaint # XXXX with the CFPB on XX/XX/XXXX on NMAC regarding an erroneous repossession. That issue is still being resolved. They offered to reduce my payment by extending my loan, make 2 payments to get me current, and waive all late fees due on the account. I received a follow up voicemail on XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX from XXXX ( one of the managers that is trying to help me ). He stated they are still waiting on my updated contract to be processed ( this was offered as a result of the aforementioned complaint # ).

The next evening XX/XX/XXXX, I got a call from NMAC at XXXX, which is in violation of FDCPA laws and protection. " XXXX XXXX '' ( her business name ) called and I asked to speak with her manager. She transferred me to " XXXX XXXX '' ( his business name ). I told him about my situation and he validated in the notes. He confirmed all late fees were gone and that they received my {$410.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, which was n't due untilXX/XX/XXXX. He also stated that they did not have my paperwork ; I advised him of the voicemail I 'd gotten the day before stating they were still processing the new contract. My funds did n't process, since my payment amount has still not been corrected. However, I ca n't speak for why the call was placed after XXXX.

I contacted the CFPB again on XX/XX/XXXX to advise of the late collection call. I was advised to submit a new complaint and that I could n't " add on '' to my existing complaint. I do n't want to have to deal with Nissan 's aggressive collection tactics, especially if I am the one reaching out for help, or in this case I 'm finally current. I do n't like dealing with offshores agents that are allowed to provide fake " business '' names. I only want the manager XXXX or his boss ( I think her name is XXXX ) handling my account. He is the only one that is following up or watching the account.

Complaint: Due to illness I was out of work and missed three car payments, I called Nissan to tel them I would be late and then on XX/XX/XXXX they reposed the car without any notice. I have been trying to make an arrangement with Nissan. THey want me to pay XXXX to recouperate the car. I would like to pay the unpaid balance due of XXXX and all associated fees XXXX in late charges and XXXX in repossession fees totaling XXXX and regain possession of the vehicle and continue to make my monthly payments. I have been a Nissan customer for 3 years and never had late payments until now. I received a letter that stated I have until X/X/2017 to resolve this matter but I believe I have 20 days from the date of repossession. I just want to work this out with Nissan.

Complaint: I have written and called Infiniti Financial about my lease multiple times. They had lost a payment of mine and then cashed it 2 weeks later. I sent a copy of the check that they cashed clearly showing the date I sent it and the date that they cashed it. They put a late fee on my account. I called to discuss it again, They still did not fix it. They sent a report to the credit bureaus over this which ruined my 25 years of perfect credit. PERFECT CREDIT. I then sent letters with proof to Infiniti again and also to XXXX. Infiniti then changed their story stating that it was a different month that I was late. A different month then they reported to XXXX. I then sent proof that I paid that month on time. They still did not fix my credit report. I paid their leases for 6 years on time. I had perfect credit for 25 years. I believe this proves that they should fix their mistake. Losing a customer of 6 years because they are incompetent seems absolutely ridiculous but this is making me end my lease, leave bad reviews, and seek legal action. They have multiple horrible reviews stating that they give false fees and do not fix errors. They seem to lie instead of having to do the work.
