Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account information incorrect
Complaint: I leased a vehicle from Hyundai ( USA ) from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX and made all payments on time. During the course of my lease, the car had continues issues which required multiple visits to the dealer for repairs. However, all of these issues were never repaired throughout the period of the lease, in spite of multiple visits to the dealer. I returned the vehicle in XX/XX/XXXX, in total satisfactory condition, having made all payments timely. Two months after returning the car, I received a bill from Hyundai ( USA ) in the amount of {$2100.00} for over mileage. I contacted Hyundai by phone and advised them of the mechanical defects of the car which had never been corrected and requested that they waive this new charge in place of the continuous inconveniences I had dealt with throughout the lease of the vehicle. They never responded to my calls in terms of dealing with this issue. I then wrote a letter to Hyundai Capital on XX/XX/XXXX, detailing my issues with the car and that I felt I was owed some waiver of this new charge in recognition of the problems that I had brought to their attention, were never repaired, and which they were aware of. I then received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX, on behalf of Hyundai, advising me that I owed {$2100.00}. As of that date, I had not received any call or letter in response to my l letter requesting that Hyundai contact me to discuss the issue of the new charges. At the same time, before giving me a chance to respond to the letter from the collection agency, Hyundai placed a negative report with the 3 credit reporting agencies showing my account being in arrears in terms of making payments on this charge. However, I was not even aware that this charge was in place as I was still waiting for a response to my calls and letter to Hyundai, so that, the charge was certainly not late and could in no way being considered not paid. I immediately contacted XXXX who advised that if I did not make an immediate payment towards the charge, this would affect my credit rating negatively as they would file a late payment adverse report to the credit reporting agencies, which they indeed did. Faced with this threat of negatively affecting my credit, I agreed to a payment amount of {$1500.00} which I made with three payments on XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ), XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) and XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) so that the amount agreed to was paid as per the agreed payment schedule made with XXXX XXXX , so that the agreed to amount has been paid, on schedule and as per the agreement. As of yet, I have still not heard from Hyundai in response to my calls and letter. Though Hyundai ignored all of my communications and attempts to reach a fair agreement, and in spite of my conversation with XXXX and forced payment schedule, which I kept, Hyundai filed a negative and adverse report with the 3 credit reporting agencies, severely impacting my credit score. In addition, though this new charge was a completely new charge and not part of my lease agreement, they attached it to the lease agreement as if it was part of it and made it appear as if the lease had been left open and unpaid at the end. This was not true as I had made all of the required payments during the period of the lease completely timely and was never once late. This made it difficult to arrange for another lease and has left my credit score severely damaged. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Vehicle loan or lease: Lease

Account status incorrect
Complaint: Upon termination of my lease in XXXX I was assessed a disposition fee above the contractual obligation. In investigating this fee I had discovered that XXXX XXXX was charging for hail damage to the vehicle. This vehicle never experienced a hail storm while in my possession. The process of contacting XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and disputing the charge took costly time. Once the determination was made by a XXXX representative that I was indeed not responsible for any additional charges, as there was no hail damage, I immediately paid the remaining disposition fee. I had never been late in a vehicle payment to XXXX or any other automotive debtor. Because of the time it took XXXX XXXX to investigate and correct this charge I was outside of my 30 day payment window. They they reported me to the 3 bureaus as having a late payment. I sent my formal request to have the negative marks removed from my credit report at the 3 bureaus ; XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I submit this request on authority from the representatives at XXXX. I included a brief statement on what had happened and a copy of my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from XXXX XXXX saying their reporting was correct. I called on XX/XX/XXXX to take further action. At this point I was informed I could make another formal dispute but could not actually speak with anyone who makes the decisions. A customer service rep by the name of XXXX and his supervisor XXXX were quite unwilling to help. I just want the negative mark removed from my credit. I am currently not obligated with any further debt to XXXX XXXX.

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account status incorrect
Complaint: I recently pulled my credit report from XXXX and XXXX and to my amazement, saw that you recently have decided to report me 30 days late on this account in XX/XX/XXXX. I have previous credit reports from both agencies pulled in XXXX of XXXX, and neither one of these reports show me late in XX/XX/XXXX. Not only was I never late on this account, you are required to notify me of the insertion of negative listings. I never received such a notice. I contacted your company and talked to a supervisor ( XXXX XXXX direct line XXXX XXXX XXXX ), who was unable to find any evidence of my late payment on file. He promised to send me a payment history of my account. I never received such documentation. The results of my XXXX dispute and my XXXX dispute have just come in, and both say verified. How is this possible? You werent able to provide me with anything. In addition, I have had the interest rate on my other credit cards raised due to your error which has caused me additional interest costs, plus I have spent lost work hours trying to straighten this out with the credit bureaus. The FCRA allows for damages of {$1000.00} per violation, and I consider this three violations, two for never notifying me and one for reporting inaccurately.

Incorrect information on your report

Vehicle loan or lease: Lease

Account status incorrect
Complaint: Below is the main body of the letter I sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX to correct their error. Time Line : XX/XX/XXXX o Lease begins and throughout the lease term we made payments through automatic withdrawal from our account. XX/XX/XXXX o Our mortgage company and I called XXXX XXXX XXXX and on a recorded line and I paid off the remaining balance of our lease. XXXX employee confirmed on the recorded line that I had paid off our lease term. Bank statement to show the payment was made attached o Not only that but you reported to the credit bureaus that we had paid it off as there was a {$0.00} balance due. XX/XX/XXXX o We had an automatic payment come out of our account. Bank statement to show the payment was made attached o We called XXXX and spoke w/ another employee who informed us it was an error and credited our account back. o Credit to our account showed up on XXXX Bank statement to show the refund was made attached XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX o We received a notice that another payment was due. o We had called several times during this period and despite XXXX making a clerical error on their end we elected to simply pay the extra payment so that our credit would not be impacted. Please understand the time line above is an approximation. Your records should reflect the actual dates as well as your recordings of my phone calls. I had a good faith dispute about the charge you were saying I owed. Despite not agreeing with the charge I made the payment to avoid a negative impact to my credit. I was reassured several times by your employees that my credit was not going to be negatively impacted which I learned was not true. Credit is tied to everything we do. My car insurance is more expensive because of bad credit reports, loans are more expensive and more. To say I am disappointed in what you have done to my credit is an understatement. I have worked hard to have my credit be over 800 and have never had any kind of late payment on any account. I have also contacted XXXX directly and they have started a dispute electronically with you. I have also contacted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( cfpb ) and filed a formal complaint with them. My hope is that you will do the right thing and correct my credit report and that litigation is not necessary. If you look at my file you will see that the above time line is pretty accurate. If you listen to the recordings that I know your company has you will also hear someone who had a legitimate dispute and that even though I disagreed with the final payment I made it as I was told by your company that it was the only way to avoid a negative impact to my credit, which apparently happened anyway. In the event you do not correct your error I am putting you on notice by this letter that I will file a lawsuit. As such I would expect all of the notes and recordings and anything else tied to my file be preserved in anticipation of that legal action. I appreciate your response to my complaint.

Struggling to pay your loan

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Complaint: I cosigned with my daughter-in-law for a car loan through XXXX XXXX XXXX in Arizona in the summer of XXXX. My now my ex-daughter-in-law will not take financial responsibility or even sign off on a voluntary transfer ( although I know her work address in Michigan where a process server could find her ). XXXX XXXX XXXX informed me that abandonment could be completed to accomplish removing the vehicle from my debt, so I requested to process an abandonment on XX/XX/XXXX. At that time, I reminded XXXX XXXX XXXX that I had already updated the vehicle location with them when I dropped the vehicle off in mid-XXXX at the dealership in XXXX where it was originally purchased. The dealership provided me the courtesy of dropping the car off there, since I explained to them that I was selling my Arizona home in two days and was leaving the state. The dealership is located in XXXX, AZ. I am looking for a document to prove that I have surrendered and or abandoned the XXXX, but when I called XXXX XXXX XXXX today ( XXXX ), they told me that they do not know the whereabouts of the car and the case is closed! XXXX XXXX XXXX provided me with the vendors number ( XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX ) to pick up the vehicle, but XXXX XXXX said that the vehicle was not at the address, and they received a cancellation order. XXXX XXXX XXXX denies knowledge of the whereabouts of the car, although the Hyundai dealership informed the XXXX Police that a repossession tow occurred. The Town of XXXX Police Report is XXXX and the officer in charge can be reached at XXXX. I am also making a report to the AZ Attorney General, because failure of XXXX XXXX XXXX to protect their collateral once informed of the vehicle 's location at the dealership has resulted in a misplaced vehicle. I am unsure if the vehicle is lost due to error fraud, but a misplaced car could be used in criminal activity, especially as close as Arizona is to XXXX. I understood I would receive a XXXX for cancellation of debt income in the full amount of the unpaid loan, but now that the car is lost, XXXX XXXX XXXX has lost the opportunity to sell the car at auction to remedy their ability to collect on the loan which affects consumer finance. Thank you!

Problem with paying off the loan
Complaint: Since XX/XX/XXXX, I have been trying to get a correct payment history from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX because of double bills with different amounts and extra payments made that don't add up to the amounts owed. When the payment history was received in XX/XX/XXXX, it was wrong. Years of extra payments were not on it. I have tried to get a corrected payment history by emailing the XX/XX/XXXX website and calling to no avail. I was promised a corrected payment history by email in early XXXX because I wasn't sure how much of the partial and full payment I owed. The company lied to CFPB when they said they emailed me a corrected payment history in XXXX after I requested the payment history in XXXX. They did not. I check my email and junkmail every day. I have XXXX XXXX receipts for the payments that were not on the payment history. I need to know how much I owe on the payments so that I can pay the car off. I refuse to pay more than I owe. They have lied to me and CFPB, and they have harassed me and my students by calling me while I XXXX 7 times in 3 days when they were told I could answer calls after XXXX XXXX with an explanation as to why ; I have to keep my phone on for work notifications, which I don't get on time now that I turn the phone off. They have lied to me, stolen from me, and now harassed me. I want to know what the last two payments, if indeed there were even two payments left, are. I want to pay off the car. I need an emailed payment history. I was offered that in XXXX when they said the audit had been done and it never arrived in my email.

Problems at the end of the loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Lease

Termination fees or other problem when ending the lease early
Complaint: My lease with XXXX XXXX terminated in XX/XX/2017. I turned the vehicle in on XX/XX/2017. The remaining 2 payments were made. There was to be a termination fee charged if I did not lease another Hyundai within 30 days. We moved to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2017 and my intention was to lease a Hyundai immediately. As you may be aware, hurricane Maria struck XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2017. It was physically IMPOSSIBLE for me to lease another vehicle within 30 days. Dealerships were closed, power was out for months, etc., etc.. XXXX XXXX was notified of the situation and they just did not care. They insisted I pay the fee. I refused based on the circumstances. I filed a formal complaint with XXXX XXXX ( # XXXX ). Hyundai basically said the hurricane was not their fault and they would never waive the fee. My credit score went from being in the 830-850 range all of my life to the low 700 's. I feel at best they should have shown some compassion and waived the fee and at worst they should not have attempted to ruin my perfect credit.

Problem with additional add-on products or services

Payday loan, title loan, or personal loan: Installment loan

Complaint: To whom it may concern. We purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX at the XXXX XXXX XXXX dealership located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Ohio XXXX The phone number is XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I owned a XXXX XXXX before and loved it and we are enjoying our latest purchase. However, the Sales Manager is the one who closed our deal. His first name is XXXX. The Finance Manager is XXXX XXXX XXXX. The deal was we traded in our XXXX XXXX XXXX with only 30,000 miles on it and XXXX and I, ( XXXX ), agreed in addition that we would pay another {$4200.00} and shook hands. He told me that in order to get the best deal, we would have to actually finance {$7000.00} and we would get {$2800.00} back once the loan was funded. Thus, is the agreed upon price of {$4200.00}. According to XXXX, the loan was actually funded on XX/XX/XXXX. We received a check in the mail on XX/XX/XXXX for {$2600.00}. I immediately called XXXX to inform him that the check was {$200.00} short. He acknowledged there was an error on their part and would contact the corporate office who issues the checks of the error and have them issue us another check for the {$200.00}. He told me that if I had not received it by Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX to call him. I actually gave it till Friday, XX/XX/XXXX. He told me there were steps the dealership could take to find out what the problem was and would call me back that afternoon. He did not. I have called him multiple times and so has my husband and have also left messages with XXXX the Sales Manager and to date, neither one of them or anybody else has returned any of my or my husband 's calls. I am attaching the document that they call a " We Owe You Owe '' stating the above information along with the check stub of the amount we actually received. We are incredibly upset what this dealership has failed to do. And I have no other recourse unless I want to file in small claims court. This could cost me more that I am already out. This is totally unacceptable and should be rectified immediately. I am making my payments to XXXX XXXX. If I owed money and did not repay it, I would be turned over to collections and have my credit rating ruined. I am appealing to somebody, anybody to handle this asap. We would both appreciate some intervention. For a dealership as large as XXXX XXXX, I can't imagine that this situation would be tolerated. Thank you for your time and attention in this long over-due matter.

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account status incorrect
Complaint: I purchased a XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and used XXXX XXXX as the servicing finance company. The original balance was roughly {$24000.00} with a 0 percent interest rate. In the spring of XX/XX/XXXX, my wife was involved in an auto accident with the vehicle which resulted in the total loss of the vehicle. We did not have gap insurance and there was roughly a XXXX dollar difference in the amount paid by the insurance company and the outstanding balance on the loan. Our insurance company paid their share, and we continued to make payments as agreed upon in the original contract. My wife was contacted by XXXX XXXX, asking to have the remaining balance paid in XX/XX/XXXX. She responded to them and told them we would continue to make the payment, as agreed. She was told, " This is going to be very negative for your credit ''. She disputed this with the representative on the phone on the basis of never being late, or never missing a payment is a pretty great pattern to have on your credit report. We have continued to pay as agreed in the contract, we have not been late nor have we ever missed a single payment for this account. Upon checking my credit, I have noticed that it is now listed as " Bad Debt/Charge off '' and has lowered my credit score substantially. I called the XXXX finance company today on XX/XX/XXXX whose rep said that I should " dispute with the credit reporting agencies, because this is how we do it ''. He also stated I should " call another day because I didn't want to listen to the XXXX process '' after I had plainly told him they were violating my rights under the Fair Credit reporting act.

Complaint: I am thoroughly annoyed and words can not describe how angry I am. I recently complained about XXXX XXXX XXXX in terms of my 2014 lease. I went to court, contacted a lawyer, and complained to CFPB to have them remove information from my credit report regarding end of lease payments. Everything was resolved and they agreed that they were at fault and removed negative comments and adjusted my amount owed. I paid the amount due ( XXXX reference # XXXX ) and thought that all was well. In complete shock, my credit score has dropped 53 points. Went to check the reason and it was XXXX XXXX XXXX reporting that I have not paid the amount due and that it is now in collections. I filed a previous complaint thinking that they made a mistake and reported that I did not pay my car payment on time, yet it was this same XXXX XXXX XXXX. This nightmare with this lease will not end and I am at my wits head. I need this company to remedy this situation as soon as possible. This is outrageous and I am unclear as to what kind of individuals are working at this company.

Complaint: I had an account with Hyundai motor finance that I paid on time monthly. Once I turned the car in, I submitted the final car payment. ( Final payment in XXXX- paid twice that month ). I was subject to fees ( over mileage and disposition ) which I ultimately paid as well but were not part of the revolving payment. Hyundai reported to credit bureaus that I paid my monthly installment late and that I settled for less than the amount owed- both inaccurate. I can not get someone at Hyundai to speak with me about this.

Billing problem
Complaint: I have been paying a little extra on my XXXX for years. I realized at the end of the loan ( last payment due XX/XX/19) that the payoff amount didn't seem correct. I have been calling and emailing since early XXXX. I was mailed an incorrect payment history. I contacted XXXX and was told to call. The first and supervisory agents appeared to pretend they didn't understand the problem. I think they were trying to frustrate me ( XXXX and XXXX ). Later agent XXXX refused to let me speak to a supervisor. He said he was emailing a corrected payment history. He read off corrected amounts which I verified by my emailed receipts later. I have never received the corrected payment history. I called again and XXXX XXXX said the order was placed for the corrected payment history and that it should come by Monday. I emailed XXXX Sunday when I received a bill, and they say I have to call. It is Tuesday, and I have no corrected payment history in my email box. I need to see a corrected payment history with my amounts applied and interest reduced each month before I know if the payoff amount is correct. This email/phone calling has been going on for over 1 month. They are harassing me at work with phone calls during the work day even though I told them to call after XXXX CST because I was teaching. I have my phone on for alerts or emergencies. They have called 5 times during the work day yesterday and today. They were told I was a teacher and not to call before XXXX.
