Complaint: XXXX XXXX , 2017 I had a balance of {$49.00}. XXXX XXXX , 2017 I paid in full to a XXXX balance. XXXX I made a few purchases including on XXXX XXXX , 2017 a bank check for {$1500.00} and a fee of {$47.00}. The {$1500.00} is to be interest free for 12 months. The XXXX XXXX statement had a balance due of {$1700.00}. The difference in the balance of {$1700.00} - {$1500.00} = {$150.00} is all I needed to pay to avoid interest. However, in XXXX I paid {$120.00} XXXX / XXXX / 17 and {$140.00} XXXX / XXXX / 17 my total payments this period was {$260.00}. There should have been no interest charge for XXXX XXXX XXXX th all charge transactions were paid except balance of the {$1500.00}. The new statement has new charges that I just received and not due until XXXX XXXX but there are interest charges on there too in the amount of {$19.00}. If the advance check is occurring interest that needs to be paid monthly I need to know so that I can pay off this card and close this account. I am paying off all charges monthly except the deferred so why am I being charged interest.

Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX , Hunting Bank repeatedly presented me, upon log-in to their website to check the status of my checking and savings accounts with them, with an advertisement offering a {$100.00} bonus added into an existing savings account upon the deposit of {$5000.00} or more in new funds into the account. I have a screenshot of the offer. I am/was abroad, and thus not able to comply with the stipulation to " visit a local branch '', but I called an spoke to a customer service representative ( call initiated at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX , XXXX ) who assured me that this would not be a problem. The funds were directly deposited into my Huntington checking account by my employer on the XXXX of XXXX XXXX prior to the deadline of XXXX XXXX stipulated in the offer ) and I promptly transferred {$7700.00} into my existing Huntington XXXX XXXX Account. In speaking with the customer service representative - identified as XXXX - he assured me that this would be acceptable and would not render me ineligible for the offer. When I pressed him for some proof of this assurance, he informed me that the call was being recorded. The offer stipulated that the deposit of the {$100.00} into my savings account was to take place within 14 days. I called Huntington Bank regarding the non-payment of the money on XXXX XXXX , XXXX , and was told because the money had been deposited first to my checking and then transferred to my savings ( within a matter of hours XXXX , I was not eligible to receive the bonus. In a world of digital banking, this is an absurdity of hair-splitting - the end result to the bank is precisely and exactly the same. The fact that Huntington Bank 's customer service representative had assured me that this would not be an issue, inducing me to transfer the money to my savings account in the belief that I would receive the offered bonus, further leads me to feel that I have not been dealt with in good faith and have in fact been deceived. The bank has received over {$5000.00} of money into my savings account not formerly deposited with Huntington Bank, in timely fashion ; I have not received my bonus. I would warn consumers against having any dealings whatsoever with Huntington Bank, as their dishonesty in this matter strikes me as blatant, inexcusable, and petty ; I 've been given the run-around over the merest of technicalities - XXXX of no practical importance to the bank whatsoever - in order to save them {$100.00}, after repeated assurances on the part of an employee of theirs that I qualified, would receive the bonus, etc.

First rejection letter from Huntington said that they could not verify my address. So I went into the branch to verify my address filled out another application. Letter instructing the bank on how to retrieve my money that was stolen and my financial information was compramised and I filed a dispute with. Huntington bank in the ban k mysteriously and the copy of the email from XXXX and the dispute was lost I still retain my copy of both then I had to refile on a different day then I was told after checking on it that only XXXX dollars would be refunded even though XXXX were stolen and that there was only a 90day windo w from the time it was reported well they never went 80days ba ck because I went through the bank statements with the banker in my branch and sent them a total as well as phone banking reps I feel like this decision was made with prejudice and I am being discriminated against because the process and procedures were not folles as well as being refused and hung up on once I requested to speak with a compliance officer and I have that right several of my rights were violated and this is not faut

Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX has merged w ith Huntington National Bank, all of my accounts were to be transferred to Huntington Bank, after waiting patiently for my new credit card to be sent from Huntington Bank over six weeks later I have not recieved the card. I called Huntington to find out what happened and I was told the account had been closed per my request. I informed them that I had not made any requet to close my account, and that I had no prior communication with them or XXXX XXXX XXXX at all about closing an account. I was told that nothing could be done at this point. I ask them to tell me when was request submitted, and how was it done because it was not me. Huntington responded by telli ng me they were not allowed to give me that information even though they claim it was me who made the request, they could not provide proof or any information to support that statment because they know it is not true.

Huntington Bank bought XXXX XXXX XXXX In a letter dated X/XX/2017 , Huntington Bank reported to me that my hazard insurance expired. It did not. They demanded I provide evidence I obtained new coverage. On X/X/2017 at XXXX I corrected the mortgage information with XXXX . They were to provide the evidence directly to Huntington at XXXX . During a phone call on X/X/2017 at XXXX for XXXX minutes, that evidence was accepted. In a letter dated XXXX , Huntington Bank informed me that they paid, or schedule to pay, an insurance renewal premium and received another billing notice from a different insurance company.contacted me again with the same request. During a phone conversation on XXXX at XXXX for XXXX minutes, Huntington demanded I provide evidence of hazard insurance for the period XXXX to XXXX , a prior period. During the same call, Huntington rescinded the demand and stated I would receive a letter confirming cancellation of lender provided coverage around XXXX . They affirmed I had no other obligations in regards to providing any other evidence. In a letter dated XXXX , Huntington Bank verified receipt of the evidence, but did not verify the period XXXX / XXXX / XXXX to XXXX / XXXX / XXXX , a prior period. They resumed their demand for evidence of insurance and stated I am responsible for the annual premium of {$910.00} without that evidence. On XXXX / XXXX / XXXX at XXXX , I attempted to call them. They announced they were closed, and I left my loan and phone numbers to have them call me back, as they offered. They did not call back. On XXXX / XXXX / XXXX at XXXX , I attempted to call them again. They announced they were closed, and I left my loan and phone numbers to have them call me back, as they offered. They returned my call at XXXX , and in that XXXX minute call, XXXX XXXX informed me that a policy had been bound already. XXXX left a direct fax number. From the XXXX web site, I printed my policy declarations for the period XXXX / XXXX / XXXX to XXXX / XXXX / XXXX . That evidence, and the XXXX letters were faxed from my home phone to XXXX XXXX at XXXX , but has not been accepted at the time of this complaint.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX, XXXX I Register online with hotel in XXXX City for a stay from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX, XXXX. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX - I receive no confirmation email from hotel and I totally forget which hotel I was online with. On XXXX XXXX, I searched my emails and called several hotels to see if I registered, but did not check with the XXXX. I made other room arrangements thinking that my online registration must not have taken given no response, or that they would email me I came to the event time. Early Morning of XXXX XXXX, I see a charge from the XXXX on my Huntington checking account for {$190.00} and get an email talking about my upcoming stay. I immediately call the XXXX that morning and let them know that : 1. I had not gotten any correspondence from them until now. 2. I would not be staying with them for I had to make other arrangements. 3. That they should refund ( or not continue to put through the pending charge ) against my account. The representative said she would see what she could do given that their policy was that they would charge 1 days stay for cancellations occurring within 5 days of a stay. and my cancellation was within that 5 day window ( 2 days away from the stay ). I reiterated that I got absolutely no confirmation from them of that stay until today when they charged and sent the email within the 5 day policy. She assured me she would try her best to credit back the amount. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I watched daily to see if the amount was credited to my account. No credit issued. Around XXXX XXXX, I called the XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX, OK XXXX : Phone : ( XXXX ) XXXX ) and asked to speak with the General Manager, XXXX XXXX. After explaining the circumstances to XXXX, he argued the policy that was set-up for the rooms I was attempting to reserve and stated that there was absolutely no record of me calling in on XXXX XXXX to cancel the room. So they held it open until the XXXX XXXX and charged me that first night accordingly. I insisted that I had called in to get a refund of the initial amount they had charged, and their lack of documentation as well as poor communications systems resulted in this mess. I stated that it unfair to charge me {$190.00} on a hotel, I did not stay in ; I communicated with prior to my stay ( once I knew my reservation was intact and active ) ; and that there should have been numerous communications sent prior to the 5 day policy period instead of just XXXX 2 days prior to my supposed stay. XXXX XXXX insisted that he could not issue a refund but suggested I go to my bank and issue a challenge to the charge. I thought that might be a viable solution. I called and filed a dispute immediately with Huntington Bank. They sent me a form to fill out and I returned the completed form to XXXX, OH branch on XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX a copy should be attached to an email ). Huntington issued a provisional credit of {$190.00} while they investigated the issue! In a letter dated XXXX XXXX, Huntington bank sent a response that they had investigated, and the merchant XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX provided documentation to support their claim to those funds. And thus, Huntington was going to reverse the temporary credit on XXXX XXXX. As soon as I received this letter, on approximately XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I stopped by the XXXX XXXX again, spoke to XXXX, XXXX of the managers, and again refiled the dispute form. On XXXX XXXX, they indicated that they had not received the required documentation from me ( since there was no documentation since everything was done either online initially then over the phone. ) Thus they, have ended their research and reversed the temporary credit.

Complaint: Unbeknownst to me Huntington National Bank closed my account on XXXX XXXX 2017. I did not know about this till XXXX XXXX,2017 after I finally managed to get to some human being after placing numerous calls to the bank. The manner in which the account closer was handled had negative repercussions for me. I had a credit card payment scheduled : # 1. XXXX XXXX 2017 ( to XXXX XXXX XXXX {$810.00} ) and noticed that payment was returned and Returned Payment Fee ( {$25.00} ) was applied to my credit card account on XXXX XXXX 2017. I had no idea what was happening as I had more than enough funds in my Huntington Bank account to cover all my bills. # 2. XXXX XXXX 2017 ( to XXXX XXXX {$190.00} ) - Payment has been returned on XXXX XXXX,2017 I also scheduled a money transfer from XXXX XXXX to Huntington for the amount of {$350.00}, It was returned back to XXXX XXXX and when i inquired what is happening, I was told that Huntington account was " dormant ''. So I thought it was just some kind of a glitch as I used the account regularly and initiated a new transfer fro XXXX XXXX to Huntington for the amount of {$520.00} ( XXXX XXXX2017 ). This transfer has never been credited to my Huntington Bank acct, nor it has not been returned back to XXXX XXXX still. On XXXX XXXX 2017 I was in the branch and made a deposit in amount of {$100.00}. It was accepted and again, no one told me anything. And on XX/XX/XXXX, when I realized that BillPay of my Huntington acct is not working I went to the bank again and withdrew {$810.00} to pay off my XXXX credit card. No issue.. No warnings.. Nothing.. During my visit I was given a phone # ( XXXX ) to call to find out why BillPay is not working. I left a message and nobody called me back. On XXXX XXXX,2017 I finally was able to get a hold of a human and was told that bank decided to close my account. No other clarification was given. So, today on XXXX XXXX,2017 I went to the branch and asked for all money I had in that bank account. It was simply a waste of time. No one at the branch, including the branch manager ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, OH XXXX ) was not able to give me my money. I was told " we have limited responsibilities '', that my account was closed on XXXX XXXX, 2017, it is on hold and basically they can do nothing. And gave me a phone # ( XXXX ). No one has returned my call still.

To w hom it may concern : Huntington b ank registered out Ohio has used an intimidation tactic by unlawfully and erroneously reporting a false statement to the bureaus that made my credit drop by XXXX points. I filed a UCC1 document and submitted it to huntington which they did not want to honor my status fili ng. Huntington b ank then closed my account without proper reason. The only reason they closed it was because I submitted m y UCC1. I have never missed a payment, even after I submitted my UCC1 I was still making payments and waiting for Huntington to accept my filing document. They then closed my account without a noticed nor a reasoning other than they claimed I told them I would not pay, which my no sense because my bank acct spoke for itself that I was still paying even after I submitted my UCC1 ba ck in XXXX . When the bank illegally reported my acct to be delinquent in XXXX I called the bank and they said that was a mistake and was going to correct it but never did. They have been harassing me about paying for a closed account. They are trying to get me to pay for a closed account that never should have been closed. I was making payments every month on time until they lied to the credit companies that I wasnt putting in a negative credit score. Additionally to having a credit card with Huntington bank I also had a saving acct that I was paying Huntington from. I never got a chance to pay with any other negotiable instrument since Huntington never ac cepted m A4V in the mail. I can proved that I was paying after I submitted my UCC1 so they claim that I told them I wouldnt pay is a lied on their end. they can see that on their end that I was paying and yet they still closed my account because they did not want to honor my UCC1. I could have stopped paying after I submitted my UCC1 b ack in XXXX but I paid XXXX and XXXX . I only stopped paying after they illegally and falsely reported acct to be delinquent making my score drop XXXX points. Complaint: I have previously submitted a complaint # XXXX on XXXX that is still ongoing. The complaint is in regards to mishandling/misapplication of my payments among other issues. Since Huntington has taken my mortgage loan over from XXXX XXXX there have been many issues that led to the original complaint. Because of the nature of those issues, I certainly do not want to keep handing money over for them to continue to be mishandled until the issue is corrected. I have since been receiving calls, letters, messages, even though I have stated very clearly that I have the open complaint and explained the nature of it and why I do not want to make further payments until it is corrected. The calls and letters are still continuing, with another call and a letter this morning. I do not find it unacceptable to have their collection department calling and mailing me like I have done something wrong- the reason I have not made recent payments is because the last time I made a payment on XXXX ( after I had told them there was an issue ) I was assured the issue was corrected. Except it wasn't- they said that just to get money then misapplied it as I was promised would not happen. I should not be responsible for or harassed because of the length of time that it is taking them to correct it. On an even more concerning issue- the person I spoke with on XXXX that called to 'collect the payment ' showed that there is a deep issue within the company and/or with my loan. He stated over and over- and over- again that my loan is an interest only loan, except it is not. No matter how many times I said it was not, he repeatedly told me it was and that my complaint is wrong and I just need to pay because that is what I owe and 100 % of my payment will go toward interest. The obvious issues here are ei ther 1 . He is just saying anything to try to get money, including telling customers completely wrong information a bout their loans and even telling them they have a different loan type than they do, and/or 2. Huntington has indeed changed my loan type to an interest only loan, which it is/was not. This is a horrible tactic and one that would certainly confuse or scare many customers that may not be knowledgeable about their loan, particularly in something such as an ARM loan. Whether he was lying to try to get money or Huntington has taken it upon themselves to change the loan type, neither is acceptable.

Complaint: I changed the Account/DDA to withdraw funds and contribute towards my IRA. I informed the Huntington XXXX XXXX of the new account number and routing number, this was completed on XXXX XXXX XXXX by faxing an updated form to them. I informed them the amount will stay the same, the only thing changing is the account. On XXXX XXXX , XXXX Huntington withdrew the money from an old account and claimed since they were not informed of the amount they did not update the withdraw information. On XXXX XXXX , XXXX I sent over the same form to have the account updated. I spoke with my personal banker and was informed this is now set up correctly. Huntington sent me a letter stating they were unable to transfer funds, however this is due to their error of not withdrawing from the correct account.
