Complaint: I submitted a complaint before. The resolution was not quite what I asked for ; but I compromised and agreed to it. However, Huntington B ank did not do what they stated to both you and I that they would do as part of the dispute resolution. They were to refund me sums of XXXX , XXXX and XXXX . they did not refund the XXXX . I sent a letter to the Huntington " Customer Advocacy Team '' who responded to me and issued the other refunds. I called them five other times ; leaving messages with the person that the response letter was from. I called three other times to the main Huntington office and they stated that they could not find the person or office I was referring to. My number is XXXX The case number is XXXX and the resolution narrative went like this. Acknowledged with customer that we are still in the process of researching and we will be in contact shortly with our response Closed case with letter to customer and resolution comments to the CFPB. Explained to customer that according to our records, he called our Mortgag e Phone Bank c ustomer service in XXXX XXXX , in order to make a loan inquiry. At that time, he spoke with XXXX XXXX ( M ortgage loan Direct Officer ) a nd we determined that our loan officer was unable to provide him with a written estimate at that time, because we had not completed the application at that time. Advised customer on XXXX XXXX XXXX , his inquiry was reassigned to our Mortgage Loan Officer ( MLO ) XXXX XXXX at which time he authorized us to submit his loan application. Consequently, on XXXX XXXX XXXX , we sent him a Loan Estimate ( LE ) which provided him with important information, including the estimated interest rate, projected monthly payment as well as estimated total closing cost for your loan. Explained to customer according to the information we have on file the estimated closing cost at the time was in the amount of {$2600.00} and that this amount included {$2000.00} in loan costs, plus {$640.00} in other costs. Explained to customer that on XXXX XXXX XXXX , we notified him via mail that a change he requested in his loan structure resulted in a change to his LE. Consequently we provided him with updated loan documents and an updated LE. Advised that, on XXXX XXXX XXXX , we provided him with his Pre Closing Disclosure ( PRE CD ) which included an updat ed LE ref lecting Title Fees in the amount of {$490.00} paid to XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX , neither of which are an Affiliate or Preferred Provider o f Huntington, to coordinate your loan closing. Explained that further that, this LE provided to him on XXXX XXXX XXXX also reflected the final amount of the title insurance premium in the amount of {$600.00} which had initially been estimated at {$430.00}. We also determined that the recording fee in the amount of {$35.00} charged on the PRE CD provided to him on XXXX XXXX XXXX was not initially included in the LE provid ed to him on XXXX XXXX XXXX , but was included in his final CD on XXXX XXXX XXXX Based upon our review, we are providing him with a refund totaling {$690.00}, which is intended to reimburse him for the {$490.00} fee, the difference in title insurance premium of {$160.00}, and the {$35.00} recording fee. This amount will be sent to him by check under separate cover. Explained to customer that on XXXX XXXX XXXX we issued the final closing disclosure to him which is a five- p age form that provides final details about his mortgage loan and includes his loan terms, his projected monthly payments as well as how much he will pay in fees and other costs to get his mortgage. We determined total closing cost on his final CD was in the amount of {$3700.00}. Advised customer unfortunately, Huntington is unable to validate the amount of {$170.00} referenced in his correspondence. However, we determined that due to extensions resulting from a change in circumstance on his loan, the initial origination charges increased from {$680.00} to {$940.00}. However on the final closing disclosure instead of paying the increased amount of {$940.00} he paid an amount of {$760.00} in origination fees due to discounts that Huntington applied to his loan to offset some of the cost charged for extensions. Apologized to customer for any inconvenience caused and provided customer with XXXX contact info

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX , XXXX my mother XXXX XXXX XXXX died. At the time of her death her personal assets were held in the XXXX XXXX XXXX Revocable Trust and this trust was managed by her. In the event of her death the XXXX XXXX XXXX Revocable Trust named myself, her son, XXXX XXXX XXXX as successor trustee. As successor trustee of the revocable trust I am authorized to handle all of her assets of that trust including collecting payments and operating her bank account for the benefit of her beneficiaries and creditors. I attempted at the local branch of Huntington National B ank to withdraw the funds presenting them a copy of the trust ; they refused to acknowledge the trust and froze the checking account At the time I had no problem with this decision and busied myself with my mothers affair. At a date approximately 45 days later, I became aware that my mother had a savings account and that the total amounts in both accounts held by Huntington Ban k were in exess of XXXX , I again presented the appropriate documentation and Huntington Bank again refused to acknowledge the lawful exercise of my rights as successor trustee. I was told that only when an executor was appointed by Probate Court would the funds be released. Under Ohio Law I am under no obligation to file in probate court given the existence of the revocable trust. The trust qualifies as an estate and the successor trustee as executor. We opted for the revocable ttrust because a t the time of my father 's demise, predatory financiers attempted to defraud my mother of her property and we embroiled in costly litigation and criminal investigations for 5 years. I then drafted a letter to the Legal Department of Huntington National bank outlying my concerns and requesting that if they did not comply with my request, to give me just cause in writing. When after approximatel y 3 wee ks, I had not heard from them, I resent the second letter and it too was ignored. I contacted the XXXX XXXX of Huntington Bank on XXXX XXXX of XXXX and requested to be put in contact with their legal department. The personnel refused to honor my request and claimed it was the bank 's policy not to give out the phone numbers of their legal department. huntington has unlawfully closed to m e every avenue of acces s to collect the funds. I have a lawful right to have my position as successor trustee of the XXXX XXXX XXXX Revocable Trust acknowledged as executor of the estate created by that trust or be given a response in wr iting why Huntington Bank refuses to do so Any help you can give me I this regard would be appreciated. Enclosed is copy of the letter sent to Huntington.

Complaint: I received a letter from Huntington National bank indicating that I needed to make updates to my insurance policy to reflect my address as : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX MI XXXX . Mind you, the letter was sent to the correct address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX MI XXXX . There are no condo 's with the number XXXX in my development, I LIVE IN XXXX XXXX . Huntington confirms this is the address on my loan, and their insurance department states this is not the address they have and tells me I have to speak with the Mortgage Department. I have tried calling twice to resolve this. The first call, I called the insurance department, who stated I had to talk to the mortgage department. The mortgage department told me I had to speak with the insurance department. I could n't wait for the insurance department and had to end the call ( I was on the call alre ady ~30 minutes ). The second call, I called the mortgage Department, they said I had to speak with the insurance department. I held for quite a long time. After getting to the insurance department, they said again, that I needed to speak with the mortgage department. The property address for my mortgage is as follows : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX MI XXXX I am not calling my insurance carrier to have them update my policy to include XXXX as my unit as that is not my address. Something is clearly wrong here.

They have not submitted updated information to reporting agencies since XXXX 2017 . I transferred the balance of this card to another financial institution on XXXX /17 . I want the balance of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on my credit reports as my reports inaccurately reflect that I have more revolving debt than what I actually do. Complaint: Huntington stopped allowing me access to my bank account because it was in the process of being closed due to an overdrawn balance. I could n't log in, gain access to online banking information, or even access my account number to make a deposit to bring the account current. I received no notification of this happening. No letter, no phone call, no email. On Friday, XXXX XXXX , my employer sent a paycheck via direct deposit that was greater than the overdrawn balance. I contacted Huntington on XXXX XXXX , and they let me know the account was still NOT closed, just in the process of being closed, and that they would hold on to the additional funds for an undisclosed amount of time until they felt like sending the balance back to me via check. No one could tell me how long it would take or when the check would be processed. It is alarming to me that I would not be allowed access to view details about an account that is technically still open, and that no one could tell me when the additional funds would be sent to me. I was told that they could hold the funds as long as they deemed necessary.

Complaint: Huntington Bank advertises publicly a {$300.00} sign up bonus for their Huntington 5 checking account. The public link can be found here : https : //www.huntington.comXXXX I followed all the requirements to get the bonus, and yet Huntington is declining to give out the advertised bonus even though I am not in any violation of the terms and conditions. They claim that since I do n't have a targeted promo code, I am not eligible for the bonus even though no where in the terms and conditions does it say that a promotion code is required. I have attempted to work with Huntington 3 different times over the past couple weeks and they have declined to be helpful in any way.

Complaint: I received a call from Customer Service they are closing my account because I am well known in the XXXX XXXX . I invest in XXXX and buy and sell it. The bank does n't want any customers who have anything to do with XXXX . I 've had this account since it belonged t o XXXX XXXX XXXX . They always treated me well and with no problems. As soon as Huntington Bought XXXX XXXX , they moved to close my accounts. I did nothing out of the ordinary besides deposit and withdraw money and it was n't any large amounts or very often. It is a shame that we in the XXXX XXXX can not have any bank accounts because they close them any time they find out we are XXXX people. They also sent me a letter that says they are closing my account but conveniently omitted the reason because they are afraid to put it in writing.

Complaint: Huntington bank closed two accounts of mine without warning. Money being deposited into the account was not refunded in a timely manner. When my account was closed by the bank, I was not able to receive any information as to why after repeated calls to customer service. Accounts were closed X/XX/17. XXXX is not being returned to me from my business account in a timely manor. Due to these delays I am not going to be able to pay off my credit cards prior to the due date and will be assessed fees. Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX received a personal loan from huntington bank and the loan manager offered me a life protection insurance to protect us if one of us was killed. He asked if I had any diseases and told him had XXXX XXXX and he then gave me the insurance protection for my life for duration of loan as part of the loan. we thought we had life insurance coverage for the loan of XXXX as part of loan. on record date XX/XX/XXXX was sent a notice from huntington with another offer for life insurance/XXXX to cover the loan amount of XXXX we called the loan manager and was told we had the life insurance coverage and no need to complete unless we wanted XXXX insurance as both life insurances would not pay for the loan but each 1/2 if should die. unfortunately end XX/XX/XXXX my husband passed as a result of a XXXX XXXX and an extended delay from XXXX XXXX XXXX. asked for the process of the claim and was told they would not honor the claim as we had misrepresented my husbands health condition 2 years prior to us applying for loan and offered the life coverage. we had not done so. my husband did have XXXX XXXX and we revealed this to loan manager. applied for loan to be covered by the insurance on XX/XX/XXXX case # XXXX now called XXXX XXXX life claim. on XX/XX/XXXX they sent out a denial stating that he was not eligible for the protection when he applied although we had paid almost 3 years in premiums. the denial was because we signed a form saying my husband had none of the following in past 2 years. " during the past 2 years have you been treated for, or been told you have a XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX ; XXXX or XXXX ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX or XXXX XXXX ; XXXX ; XXXX XXXX ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) or XXXX related XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX )? '' as his spouse and do believe his physicians would have answered this question as no on XX/XX/XXXX if it had been read to us which it was n't. he had XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and had a XXXX shut down at time and few follow-up appointments for awhile to make sure no problems and the functions improved and he had no XXXX problems. he had some XXXX problems and they state dr. coded as XXXX but he received no treatment for XXXX before entering XXXX as result of XXXX XXXX and all XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for the injury. the plan analyst was contacted to try and resolve this as my husbands death was result of an accident not disease but they stated di n't matter as he was not eligible for the coverage. the plan say that this is not an insurance product as was filing with insurance department and the plan analyst sort of taunted there was no regulation of this product. this appears to me as a way for the bank to make money off customers with no payout. feel this is wrong.
