Complaint: The Huntington Bank bill pay recorded a payment to our condo association of {$220.00} on XXXX XXXX , XXXX . They tell me they sent a check that was never cashed. Apparently that is the extent of their responsibility to me as they stated they are not responsible for the late fee we have incurred or so I was informed by a CSR supervisor this evening, XXXX . But what really concerns me is that on that date they wash the funds from our checking account into a Huntington Bank account and debit my account that time. It is now nearly 24 days later and the money is gone from my account but still resides in the Huntington bank account where I assume they accrue additional float on the funds not available to me. Prior to Huntington bank purchasing XXXX XXXX , the XXXX bill pay sent checks from our account and did not record the payment until the check was cashed thus providing us the ability to know that a check was not cashed in a timely fashion and to inquire as to why. They tell me I agreed to this process in the transition from XXXX to Huntington as it was likely in the " fine print ''. I am certain what they do is quite legal if not moral. Our monies are our monies until a creditor decides to cash a check we have sent time or that the bank, through its bill pay service, sends them. Shame on you Huntington.

Complaint: I made the payment on XXXX XXXX i handed a check to teller the check was cashed and money was deducted from my account on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX i recieved a call on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX about a missed payment i returned the call XXXX / XXXX / XXXX told huntington national bank that i had made the payment they wanted a fax of check front and back i went to my bank pnc faxed it on XXXX called huntington national to have them verify recieving it they said it would take a day to go through i called again on on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX they was unaware of the fax then found it said it would have to be researched i called again XXXX / XXXX / XXXX and was told that it needed researched i have given huntington natio nal 4 w orking days to repair my credit report and havent had it done yet i would like my credit history mended and account current

How can they charge me NSF fees when it never made it to my account? It 's a returned item, not an NSF and they should n't be allowed to change an NSF fee for a returned item.

Complaint: Ever since my accounts were transferred from XXXX XXXX to Huntington my mortgage account and funds have been severely misused. I knew my payment would be due around the beginning of the month in XXXX , about the same time that the transfer happened. On XXXX I called to be sure my mortgage account would still be paid automatically. the first person I spoke to said it 'might not ' be. The second person I spoke with said it 'should ' be. I spoke to several different people because I had not, and still have not, received any debit card or checking account statements and could not setup an online account. Later that night I was able to login to the online account and while picking around at it I noticed that all of the information including the amortization schedule showed that my next payment was due XXXX so it would seemed the automatic payment had indeed been made. However it also showed that my next payments were going to be going 100 % toward interest- every penny. I questioned this ( again on the evening of XXXX ). On XXXX I received a response stating they were looking into it. On XXXX I again reached out stating that I did not want to make further payments until this was corrected, and a few days later I received a call saying that they were still looking into it and had put a note on my account to not be charged any fees during that time. On XXXX I began receiving calls asking " when I was going to make my payment '', even though there was no actual 'payment due ' as can be seen in my statements. When I responded that I was waiting until the issue was cleared up they reassured me multiple times that it was. I made a payment in the usual amount ( payment plus some extra for principle ). Around XXXX I received a statement showing that not only was 100 % of my regular payment indeed applied to interest only, but my " payment due '' for XXXX was DOUBLED! In other words, they blatantly lied to get me to pay a payment that they completely mishandled and/or have switched my loan type to an interest only loan without any consent or notice whatsoever then DOUBLED my payment! It is beyond frustrating that larger companies can do this with no consequence, and I 'm sure I am not the on ly one they h ave done this to.

Complaint: I had signed up for a gym membership which I had automatic debit payments coming from a debit card linked to a XXXX bank account. XXXX was acquired by Huntington bank and my XXXX card was closed. This resulted in my card being declined for a XXXX bill. I received a debt collection notice from the gym billing company : XXXX. I eventually received a new XXXX debit card from Huntington however I never provided the new Huntington card information to the billing company or authorized them to make payments using that card. However they obtained my information without my knowledge and proceeded to update my account on XXXX XXXX, 2017 and charge {$37.00} to my new debit card on XXXX XXXX, 2017. All without my consent or knowledge. I called them to inquire how they obtained my information they told me they use a program call " Account Updater '' and that my " bank '' sent them the updated information after my first merit card was declined. I proceeded to call my bank, and the billing company on XXXX XXXX 2017 and XXXX XXXX 2017. I contacted Huntington bank on multiple occasions to inquire if they sent my information to any third parties or participated in any programs that would update my card information automatically, including any program called " account updater ''. Googling the term I found this program called " XXXX Automatic Billing Updater '' XXXX Huntington informed me they never give out debit card information under any circumstances. I asked them if they used either general " account updater '' or the specific XXXX program. No one at the bank knew about either program but informed me they do not participate in any programs that would give out my information. Huntington filled a complaint to their internal department to look into it and stated they would provide an answer in 7-10 business days. They however also directed me to XXXX. I called XXXX they told me that the XXXX ( billing company ) and card " Issuer '' ( Huntington ) choose to participate in the program. XXXX claimed that it is impossible for them to send my information to any one because they do not have access to my account information. That they are just a " card network. '' My concern is one of these companies sent my card information to a third party without notice or my consent and that card was then charged without my knowledge or consent. I asked XXXX if I could opt out they informed I had to contact the merchant or my bank. My bank had no idea what I was talking about. I contacted the merchant and they informed me I could not opt our as it was a XXXX program. I am at a loss as to how no one from any of these financial institutions knows anything about programs that bear their companies name. I 'm concerned that a bank that contracts with XXXX does n't know what XXXX does with my information. I 'm concerned for the security of my card information that either Huntington or XXXX can send my account information to third parties without notice. I am concerned that third party companies can charge my card and update my information with out my consent. And I am upset that I can not opt of such a program. I believe people should be aware of programs such as these as they could continue to be charged for re-occurring payments. I think people should have to opt-in to any extra programs or services.

Complaint: I banked @ Huntington. I 've had identity theft. Requested a new card, checking and savings account number. I called 3 days in a row and nothing was done. I went to the branch and the young lady really helped me. While going through her process she noticed a XXXX $ charge trying to come through. She admitted I had serious problems. She opened a new account and debit card. Also disputed the charges against my account. The next day they closed my account and refuse to investigate the charges against me. Everyone in customer service were very rude with attitudes. I ca n't pay my bills. I have nothing. I have to wait for tem to send the XXXX $ back to me. I filed bankrupt, therefore they were willing to open another account. I had identity theft then. Now they are saying I am high risk. My accounts were open when I told them that a representative advised me that it appears to be identity theft. The credit bureau advised me as well. All I am asking is what is owed to me. Customer Service has only given me nasty attitudes. They closed my accounts because of the disputes, although I alerted then when I first recognized them. I have to continue suffering because my direct deposits have to be rerouted as well as my checks bouncing..
