Complaint: I was in the beginning stages of applying for a HELOC ( Home equity line of credit ). I was told over the phone on a recorded line by XXXX XXXX at Huntington National Bank ( XXXX # XXXX ) that my credit score would only be hard pulled once. The phone ( XXXX ) conversation took place approximately XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. The next day, when looking at my credit report ( XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) I 'm seeing there were two hard pulls by Hunting National Bank. Fist one on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, then another on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I did not authorize the one on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX nor did I expect to see two hard inquiries pulled back to back within two days. I 've sent numerous emails out to XXXX XXXX concerning this matter, but no responses or reply 's.

Complaint: In XXXX XXXX I found unauthorized transactions to XXXX XXXX from our Huntington Bank checking account that were paid in addition to our authorized payments in XXXX XXXX. The withdrawals appeared to begin in XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX and was informed that they just follow customer 's requests and did not bother to make sure the appropriate account was debited. I then contacted Huntington Bank customer services and was given the same response. So, I created reports from XXXX and Huntington to prove that the second transactions were fraudulent, not paid to our XXXX account and spoke with a branch representative in mid-XXXX. He completed a bank form, I signed it and attached to the bank form. After not receiving information after almost 3 weeks, I contacted the branch and the representative apologized and promised to follow up. He called back a couple days later and explained that the request had not been addressed, and promised to get it to processing. After another 3 weeks I called again, received no response until another 3 weeks later I received a letter that totally ignored the issue and stated that XXXX stated that we had authorized the auto payments upon opening the account. However, our authorization was related to payments for OUR bills, not some thief that stole our account number.

Complaint: I applied for a home equity loan at Huntington National Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Ohio XXXX. I am retired so I paid off my bills and I closed my accounts before I retired. I have less than 10,000. In debt. I pay my accounts as agreed. My income is over XXXX. My property value is over XXXX. I am divorce and my exhusband pays the mortgage which is less than 50,000. When I called and asked why the loan was not approved they stated my FICO score was XXXX and I needed at less a 680. I told them my credit score is based on debt. If I had large debt than I would have a higher credit rating. My credit will go lower because I just paid off two more of my accounts. I feel my loan was disapproved because I am a XXXX female. Complaint: I 've complained to Huntington they closed my local bank to allow the shareholders and CEO 's to profit more by making us stand in long lines. There is no accountability in banking anymore. The CFPB is doing nothing to hold these banks accountable. The tellers make nothing compared to the shareholders and are overworked and underpaid. We still do n't know who owns the notes on our houses. The banks are worse than 2009 in my opinion. It 's a scam.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I contacted XXXX XXXX of Huntington Bank for a mortgage preapproval. After paying of back taxes and presenting additional financial information XXXX stated he contacted the credit agencies to have the tax information removed from credit reports. He sent me a preapproval letter on or about XX/XX/XXXX. On or about XX/XX/XXXX I sent him a purchase agreement for a condo I wanted to purchase. I was waiting for XXXX to send me the loan application so I can begin to close process. I contacted him over and over most of the time with no response. I intended on using down payment assistance from OHFA because I had limited funds, so I asked XXXX if he had submitted the documentation to OHFA, he asked if I could get gift funds from some one because he did not want to deal with OHFA 's grueling paperwork. I told him I needed those funds and I did not hear from him for about a week. When he finally emailed me it was to tell me he could not do the loan. Then responded with counterclaims for his reasons why, which caused him to contact me by phone and state he made an error and would look over my documents again. I called back again asking me if I could get gift funds and I stated no. A couple of days later ( XX/XX/XXXX ) he sent me loan documents not including the down payment assistance funds and over {$6000.00} in closing cost. I sent him an email with questions which he never responded. I was due to close on XX/XX/XXXX and I had not received a response to my calls, texts or emails. Then after calling him about 9 times he answered and said " he was not able to get me approved for the same reasons as before. '' The reasons before were not valid. Now I have losed the opportunity to purchase my dream home and I am homeless.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I applied for a home-equity line of credit with Huntington bank. They did one hard inquiry on my XXXX score which was expected but the next day XXXX XXXX they did another one I asked the guy why and he said he had no idea why it pulled twice and was not helpful at all with trying to figure out why. then again XXXX XXXX they pulled it again without my permission and they did not tell me that they were going to do that. if I knew that they were going to pull my credit three times I wouldve never gotten the credit line in the first place. The loan officer from Huntington did not seem to care. I called XXXX and they said Huntington needed to send over some form stating that they didnt mean to pull it that many times I told Huntington about it and the loan officer said that he doesnt know what Im talking about and never had to do that before and that hard inquiries arent a big deal. This isnt right and I just want the 2 removed. Like I said one was expected but two additional ones without my permission is not right.

Complaint: In XXXX, I Refinanced My 1st Mortgage with a Different Bank! This is One of My Local Banks I Use for My Daily Personal Banking Services! This Bank is The Huntington Bank, XXXX, Ohio. I Asked for the Best 15yr Fixed Rate Mortgage & Best Rate Available!?? My 1st Mortgage at that Time was with XXXX XXXX XXXX and it was a FHA MORTGAGE. I Had & Have Excellent Credit. I Was Never Late on My Mrtg Payments & Never Missed a Payment!! I Was Told By Local Bank Loan Manager, a HARP MORTGAGE Could Only be Approved By The Main -Huntington Bank & by their # 1 Mortgage Loan Manager in XXXX , Ohio Huntington Headquarters & This Process Would Take a Few Months! Refinance With the XXXX Banch Would be a Much Quicker Process & They Could Offer a Comparable Fixed Rate!! They Sold Me a Conventional Mortgage, not a FHA Backed Mortgage & Not a Harp Mortgage. At This Time I Did Not Realize This 1st Mortgage Loan was Not an FHA Backed Mortgage!?! They Charged Me 2 - 3 Points to Get the Fixed Rate Down to 5.75 %. I Was Charged an Appraisal Fee, Points Fees & Closing Costs = all Totaling Appr {$3000.00}. With My Current 1st Mortgage FHA MRTG LOAN With XXXX XXXX XXXX, I QUALIFIED FOR THE HARP MORTGAGE, But was not even Offered the Harp!! I Believe They Did Not Want to Provide or Offer me a HARP MORTGAGE was Because They Would Not Make as Much MONEY / PROFIT AS THE WOULD WITH A CONVENTIONAL LOAN!! I THEN DISCOVERED, I NOW AM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A HARP MORTGAGE From Any Banking Facility Because I No Longer Have a FHA BACKED MORTGAGE!! I HAVE CONTACTED NUMEROUS BANKS & MORTGAGE COMPANYS & ALL SAY THEY CAN GET ME A RATE, AS LOW AS A HARP MRTG!! BUT IN DOING THIS THEY ARE CHARGING ME 2-3-4 POINTS TO GET ME A FIXED RATE CLOSE TO THE HARP RATE, BUT STILL NOT AS LOW & AGAIN I WOULD BE CHARGED FOR AN APPRAISAL & POINTS FEES & CLOSING COSTS!! I WAS REFINANCING TO GET CASH OUT TO PAY OFF CREDIT CARD DEBT & GET A LOWER MORTGAGE RATE, RESULTING IN A LOWER MONTHLY MORTGAGE PAYMENT!! I BELIEVE, THE REASON THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE OR OFFER THE HARP MORTGAGE WAS SIMPLY, THEY MADE A " LOT '' MORE MONEY OFF ME THAN THEY WOULD MAKE PROVIDING ME A HARP MORTGAGE!! I ALSO FEEL & BELIEVE I AM BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BY NOT BEING ELIGIBLE FOR A HARP MORTGAGE, BECAUSE I DO N'T HAVE A FHA MORTGAGE!! OVER MY LIFETIME, I HAVE HAD 4-5 MORTGAGES & ALL WERE FHA MORTGAGES!! I ALSO BELIEVED WITH THIS LAST MORTGAGE WITH HUNTINGTON BANK, IT WOULD ALSO BE A " FHA '' MORTGAGE! I Guess I Was Ignorant to the MORTGAGE BUSINESS & NOW I CAN NOT GET A HARP MORTGAGE TO PAY OFF OTHER DEBTS. WE ARE RETIRED & ON A FIXED LIMITED INCOME!!
