Complaint: I have a car loan with Huntington Bank. I filled out paper work with Huntington to initiate auto draft for loan from bank account. Two days prior to the day my payment was due, I called to confirm it was setup correctly and good to go. They confirmed it was setup correctly. Huntington bank drafted the money from my account on the day the payment was due. Few days later, I got a call from Huntington stating that my account was past due. I sent them copy of my bank statement showing that money was taken out of my account by Huntington for the loan. They told me the issue will be resolved in two days and I would get a phone call. Nothing happened and I called back two days later and gave them additional information my bank provided that could help. I was again told they are working through the issue and they would call me in 2 days. Two weeks passed and nothing came out of this. In the meantime, I kept getting letters in the mail stating that my account is past due and they are sending it for collections and charging late fees. I called again this Saturday, they said they don't have any information and can't even tell if my account is even set up for autodraft. They kept me on hold to check for over an hour and then hung up. They never called me back. My account will be autodrafted on this Tuesday for loan payment. This should have been fixed two weeks ago but no one has been able to help me. Instead, I get pushed from one person to another. I called back today and additional {$400.00} has been drafted from my account. Now they are telling me they never called back because they didn't have a proper phone number to call back when I had them update my phone number over two weeks back. In addition to that they are saying that I was never setup for autodraft even though they saw copies of my bank statement. They are asking for copies of checks which I can not provide because I didn't write a check and it was autodrafted. I don't know what to do at this time and I am beyond frustrated.

Complaint: I recognized a few hard inquiries on my credit report I have no idea on how they got on there. I did not give permission to search my credit report because I have a vehicle I am already financing and I did not need any other banks looking at my account. The hard inquiries are messing up my credit score and I am trying to buy a house for my family. So if you can find it in your hearts to remove the inquiries that would really be helpful Thank You!

Complaint: Huntington Bank took over my land mortgage back in XX/XX/XXXX. They were one five banking institutions who have taken over my land mortgage over the past 12 years. Unlike the other mortgage companies before them, I received no notice letting me know they were taking over my account. I pay both my home mortgage and this land mortgage automatically through my XXXX online pay. Over the past 12+ years, I have never been late on either mortgage accounts. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notice that my account was a couple months past due, I called and spoke to Huntington and they explained that my ARM adjusted up in XX/XX/XXXX and that my payments were short approximately {$30.00} each month. During the phone call, I explained that this was the first time I even heard of the Huntington Bank and never received a notification about the payment going up. I made a payment during the call for the difference and requested that any late payments would be forgiven and removed. The agent agreed and stated my account was now up to date. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received another late notice stating my account was a couple months past due. I called and spoke to another agent. After reviewing the account and I providing payment dates from my XXXX automated payment, the agent stated they found the issue and that my account was indeed up to date and that I had actually been paying {$1000.00} dollars versus {$1000.00}, which was the actual payment I owned. I was paying too much! They agreed to fix the false late payment issue and remove any Late Fees charged to my account. They confirmed my account was now up to date in their system. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received another late notice stating I owed for two months. This time I asked to speak to a supervisor. After two hours on the phone, the supervisor stated she found the problem. Due to the rate increase in XX/XX/XXXX, my account was short and now my payments were going into a suspense account, The extra money I paid to take care of this shortage was being misapplied and going towards principal. Each month, I was being charged additional Late Fees, which was further showing my account was not up to date. The remaining partial payments were being applied to Late Fees and principal. She then stated that the bank had sent me a check for the remaining balance of the funds that were being held in a suspense account. So, the system was showing I was 30 days late and owned two payments. The supervisor agreed to stop payment on the check they were sending and then reconciled the payments that went to my principal and removed all the late fees. She admitted this was a system error and that the agents I spoke to in previous months did not take care my issue. She also issued me a check to cover my over-payment of {$9.00} over the past several months, along with Late Fee I paid in XX/XX/XXXX when I tried to reconcile my account. Lastly and most importantly, she agreed to take remove any and all derogatory reporting to the three credit bureaus. All this to say ... I recently applied for a Home Equity Line of Credit and was denied due to Huntington 's mistake and them not removing their inaccurate derogatory late report. I also want to note that I received another late notice this XX/XX/XXXX. I called XXXX to learn that they had added a home inspection fee to my bill for XX/XX/XXXX. Again, no notice was sent! What is more suspicious, I don't have a building on the property, It is a wooded, unimproved lot. They have agreed to remove the charge and remove any late fees. XX/XX/XXXXpayment was being held in a suspense account, so they were asking for two months of payment, when in fact I was current. How can they get away with adding fictitious fees to mortgage invoices without telling the mortgagee prior? Then try to collect an extra month of payment. And damage someone's credit for their billing error and not fix the error. I would very much appreciate your help in getting Huntington Bank to stop adding fees to bills without notification prior and expedite them to remove their false bad credit claim with all three credit bureaus. Also, confirm that in fact the XX/XX/XXXX Late Fee for not paying their inaccurate home inspection fee was removed and my account is up to date.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX received letter from Huntington Bank indicating could no longer make bi-monthly payments on home equity loan (my primary mortgage) effective XX/XX/XXXX; letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, taking 6 days to receive. Have automatic payroll deduction to them every 2 wks, approx 1/2 mortgage payment. Payment to be sent XX/XX/XXXX, fulfilling XX/XX/XXXX obligation. However, won't get paid again until XX/XX/XXXX, 8 days after next full mortgage payment due. Huntington told me they would give 15 day grace period for XX/XX/XXXX; after that, full payments due XX/XX/XXXX of every mo. I have multiple problems with this: received viturally no notice; I live on a budget, unlike your disconnected director, Mick Mulvaney. I have 6 days to re-budget for full payment, even though won't get paid again until 8 days after due date. Asked if I could change due date, Huntington refused. Change not discussed or authorized with me, is nothing short of payment demand, and a change to the loan re-payment plan I originally agreed to. Now I either have to pay extra every mo, or make a principle only payment monthly in order to get previous benefit of bi-monthly payment. This is wrong; makes me think it is a result of Trump admn dropping previous consumer banking protections. Happen to be paid 8 mos ahead on my mortgage because of benefit of bi-monthly payments, and will continue to pay extra, but how many other Huntington customers cannot or will not? This change will discourage them from using the benfit to reduce their mortgages ahead of term. Not currently in a position to change mortgage companies, if I was, would drop Huntington. This activity seems on par with XXXX XXXX changing mortgage terms without customer knowledge. Doubt there will be resolution of this in my favor - return to bi-monthly payments, or that the CFPB even cares.

Complaint: On XX/XX/17 my checking account with Huntington Bank had an unauthorized charge was stolen by XXXX XXXX. I had no agreement, contract, or authorization for him to charge my account. I cancelled the transaction with Huntington Bank and was refunded the amount. XXXX XXXX has come up with a very elaborate story " affidavit '' about way he stole the money. This is not an agreement with me. Huntington Bank has now took the transaction back based off this. And now my checking account is in the negative.

I contacted my Local Courthouse and they informed me that XXXX XXXX was NOT they atty on file and said XXXX XXXX was.The courthouse said it sounded like a good offer and I should contact them an thell them who the Atty on file was. So I contacted the number XXXX ext. XXXX as the letter directed. I gave them the information. They then filed at my local courthouse as the atty on file. Received a settlement letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX Ohio date XX/XX/XXXX, it instructed me to make my check out to XXXX XXXX XXXX Successor to Huntington National bank .XX/XX/XXXX Called XXXX XXXX back because the settlement letter I rcvd said to pay XXXX XXXX XXXX. I read online that XXXX XXXX XXXX closed in XX/XX/XXXX. I asked them how they were going to cash a check to a company that doesnt exist. I was speaking to XXXX XXXX at that time. I asked for a phone number to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX because I wanted to verify that they were in business. She told me that she didn't have their phone number. I told her if they were a client she should have their phone number. I explained to XXXX that I wanted to pay the debt but I needed verification that the Company was in business because I did not feel safe to write a check to XXXX XXXX XXXX. At that point XXXX told me I could just make it out to Atty XXXX XXXX. I stated to XXXX that I did not feel comfortable to do that either as the letter states " To enusre proper credit, all payment must be made to Creditor listed above '' .. which was XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX started talking loudly and implied that I was refusing to pay. I told XXXX that I was not refusing to pay that I just wanted to feel safe about my payment. I asked her how I could find any information on XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX said I could XXXX it. I told XXXX I did that and it said that the business was closed in XX/XX/XXXX. Then XXXX put me on hold. When XXXX came back she stated that XXXX XXXX XXXX was owned by Atty. XXXX XXXX and that I could contact the Tennessee Supreme court if I wanted his contact information. Prior to the conversation she stated that it was being recorded. I can provide copies of the letters that were sent to me stating that XXXX XXXX XXXX is still the creditor if needed. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX, I spoke with XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX phone number listed above. XXXX told me on XX/XX/XXXX that in XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX sold the debt to Atty XXXX XXXX when I questioned her about it. I was also told the conversation was being recorded at that time. Last week I contacted the Original Creditor, Huntington National Bank at XXXX at the number XXXX and spoke to XXXX who told me that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was the current owner of the account. I don't want to be sued in court for the full amount, I would like to pay the settlement offer. Although I can not trust if my money will go to the proper person and clear my debt. There is no guarantee I will receive a satisfied judgement letter. It is possible XXXX XXXX has sent misrepresentation paperwork to my mailbox. Please advise me how to proceed.

Complaint: In 2012 Hurricane Sandy had totaled my truck. I was told that my insurance at the time, XXXX, had paid out the value of the truck and the GAP insurance would cover the rest. In 2012 I also had a XXXX XXXX so I took the information as fact and never followed up to make absolutely sure the balance was gone completely. I just had my credit pulled and it is saying they had charged off a balance on the account. I just called them to try and tell them what the situation was but they just wanted the balance and wouldn't acknowledge the fact that I had GAP insurance at all.

Complaint: I made a electronic rent payment as I have for a year. Ive done this for a year without problem but unusual acts on my account like online account would show funds paid then change when items were paid, including date, account balance, etc. I have overdraft protection so even if I didnt have money in account item would be paid. Also I would be notified by text that hasnt happened. This has been a common problem with someone inside bank clearly manipulating account at Huntington Bank. I want a complete audit and records of who has accessed to my account.
