Complaint: Huntington Bank accepted via a photo-deposit transaction two Cashier 's Checks, one for {$22000.00} and one for {$7000.00}. Both were written as " Pay to the Order of : XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. Both checks were endorsed improperly, hand-signed by XXXX XXXX XXXX and then photo-deposited into his personal bank account at Huntington. The money was then withdrawn and stolen from the company. Huntington says the checks were " properly endorsed '' and that they did nothing wrong. My research says that Huntington should never have allowed the checks to be processed without a full and complete endorsement by the Company itself, and they arguably also should not have allowed the clearly-worded commercial-payee checks to be deposited into his personal account. Huntington has come up with all kinds of excuses for justifying their actions but the situation remains that the endorsement on both Cashier 's Checks was never completed in the name of the payee, which should have caused both checks to be refused for deposit. The XXXX makes this quite clear. For its error, Huntington owes the construction company the {$29000.00} that it never should have let through the system.

Complaint: OnXX/XX/XXXX I noticed an unrecognized charge of {$9500.00} on my Huntington Bank debit card made at XXXX. I immediately called Huntington Bank customer service that same day and was issued a new debit card and was told they would refund my money back, days later I received the debit card but the money still was not credited back to my account. I then proceeded to contact Huntington Bank on XX/XX/XXXXand was told it would take up to 10 business days to have the money refunded. It is now been more than 10 business days and I have not received the money that was stolen from me.

Complaint: I purchased a XXXX fit at bud email XXXX in XXXX pa on XX/XX/2018. I have a credit score of XXXX. I financed {$9100.00}. I was told that I qualified for a loan with an interest rate of 5.69 %. The business manager ( XXXX ) completed my loan paperwork using my incorrect address. He said that since he had to complete the loan paperwork again, he would increase the amount financed to {$10000.00} because I would be eligible for a lower interest rate if I financed {$10000.00} or more. He completed the lian paperwork and it didn't have any modifications to the original financing amount. I asked him why he didn't adjust the loan so I would qualify for a lower interest rate? He stated that it was only reduced by .25 %, which he stated didn't make much difference. I believe that with my credit score, I would easily qualify for a much better rate. Now, two weeks later, I contacted Huntington Bank to pay off the two week old loan and was told that i owe {$160.00} interest, so my pay off increased to {$9300.00}!!! How can the bank require me to pay {$160.00} for 12 days of financing? I am a female who is being discriminated!

Complaint: I am a borrower of the Huntington National Bank and live in the State of Ohio. This is my second mortgage with Huntington, and I understand that as part of having a mortgage with Huntington I am required to pay interest. In the past, I was able to log onto Huntingtons website and see the accumulated interest on my mortgage since my last payment. On the first day after each payment, I was able to see what the first day of accumulated interest is, then I was able to multiply that amount by the number of days in the monthly cycle. If there are any discrepancies, which has arisen in the past, I will contact Huntington and have it resolved.
Recently, Huntington has hidden this information from its customers. I have made several calls to Huntington as well as sent several emails. In return, I have received the run around and no explanation for why this information is now hidden. In one of the emails I received, I was told the accumulated interest information is available on their site under the mortgage section. I checked the website, and the information is not there. I emailed back saying I did not see the information I was looking for and was told they can email it to me. I explained that emailing me a payoff schedule does not solve the issue. I need to know what the accumulated interest on my Mortgage is. I do not need a payoff schedule for a particular date.
During one of the conversations, I was told that when I receive my mortgage statement in the mail, the accrued interest information will be on it. I received a statement in the mail on XX/XX/XXXX with a statement date of XX/XX/XXXX, but there was no accumulated interest information on it. In fact, what the statement told me was the payment was due in XX/XX/XXXX. Huntington must be able to provide to its customers how much interest has accumulated since the last payment. There was nothing different from what is shown online. What the statement told me was the amount of the monthly payment which I already know. What I need to know is the break down between the interest and principal of that payment. Then I will be able to determine that my payment will be applied accurately.
I asked a question on the Huntington XXXX page on XX/XX/XXXX. I received a comment on my post saying if I send my issue to an email address provided someone will get back to me. I immediately sent an email to the provided email address, and I am yet to receive a response. At first, I thought it might be an oversight, but I am beginning to think this is a attempt to hide this interest information from the customer. If the interest information is not in front of them, they wont know how much they really owe while this interest is accumulating.
I can provide as much detail as is required to demonstrate that Huntington is hiding valuable information about their mortgages from their customers. The bottom-line is that information is available, it was always provided to customers, and now it is being hidden. The solution I am seeking to this issue is for the accumulated interest information be available to customers ( Me in particular ). This allows me to know how much interest is being accumulated on my mortgage and for me to monitor that it is being calculated and applied correctly.

Complaint: I'm 9 days late on my auto loan payment who I have through Huntington Bank. Today I received a call from them on my cell phone, which i sent to voice mail because I'm currently in my office at work. Immediately after that I receive a call on my office line from Huntington Bank.
Here 's the issues : 1. I told them when I gave them my office number that it was not to be contacted at any point in time as it violates company policy.
2. The representative, XXXX made several false statements during the call on my office line : She state that multiple voicemails have been left on my mobile number - not one voicemail has been left She stated that she was allowed to contact me at work to collect the debt - false that violates the FTC regulations She stated that multiple emails were sent - again false because I have not received any She stated that notices were sent - again false I have not receive any communication.
I'm only 9 days late - so there wouldn't be this amount of communications she is therefore lying which is against the FDCPA.
When I informed her of the FTC regulations and the violations that she was doing she started to argue and ask me about my payment history, my finances, all of this on a line that they were not to contact me at about personal matters!!! - which is abusive towards me the consumer

Complaint: I received on XX/XX/XXXX a notice that was included with my monthly statement. This statement notified me of changes to my account. The changes were to be in effect on XX/XX/XXXX. I believe that any changes to my account should be sent to me, in writing, 30 days before the change takes place. Huntington Bank. XXXX XXXX, Ohio. I have talked to a bank rep on the phone today and she was to file a complaint and send me info on all of our accounts. ( My husbands ' and mine ) I am not sure that I can trust this bank to do the right thing, that is, make the changes 30 days from the date of notice. I can not find a date on the notice paper that was sent, but it was included with my monthly statement. I also wonder about how short the actual inactivity fee can go. They changed it from 2 years on a savings account to 12 months. These changes have not affected us at all but I think that down the road things will progress to the point that they will be benefiting from customers naivety.

Complaint: onXX/XX/XXXX i deposited a business check into personal account by mistake with the moble app and huntington locked my account, they wont let me have access to any funds in the account before the check was deposited. i done a chat with a bank rep on the web site and asked if i bring in county business license, state tax id, city business license will that unblock my account and was told yes. i printed out the chat and took it with me to huntington bank location ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, KY XXXX ) and talked to XXXX i was told the paperwork i brought in was no good as the county and city license was not this years, wouldnt take state tax id i been using since XXXX. i went back next day with current county license and a receipt of city license stamped with citys name and stated business use license until original is mailed to me, again refused tax id and city license.
the letter huntington sent me said only a 7 day hold on the check and its past that now i dont see what else they would want to prove its my business check i told them i have tax id , county license, cbi number, ein
