Complaint: Huntington Bank in XXXX, WV is taking me to court over a checking account that was closed 7 years ago, they are saying the account was closed due to being overdrawn and they were assessing daily interest they are requesting a judgement of over {$1200.00}. I have received no calls, no bills, nothing in 7 years. I am working on student loans and with a consumer credit counseling agency currently as well as have had loans within this 7 year time and have a checking account I have never been told I owe this bank money until Im taken to court. I have not been contacted by the bank or heard anything of this until a process server contacted myself and also my father and scared both he and I. I have not received a call, a letter, nothing! is there not a statue of limitations? This was not a credit card but a checking account? Why havent i received a statement? Or a notice?

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a XXXX XXXX checking account online. On XX/XX/XXXX, I signed up for online banking and was able to deposit {$2000.00} through the app ( mobile check ), from my other account at XXXX XXXX. By XX/XX/XXXX, I was not able to access my account online or on the app because it said that the account was locked. I called back and it was because the check was still being processed and my account was put on hold and that I should contact them by the XXXX. In the physical letter I received, it also said that I should have access to the money by the XXXX. In the meantime, I also deposited XXXX through ACH directly from the other account ; this is in order to meat the XXXX minimum balance for avoiding the monthly fee. I called back on the XXXX, and the representative reported that the holds department is not letting go of my account until after Friday. I called back today ( Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX ), and they now say that I will not be able to access my account until XX/XX/XXXX. I feel as if enough time has passed such that the original {$2000.00} check should have cleared through the bank. Checking my XXXX XXXX account, they sent both {$3700.00} and {$2000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, and 8 business days has passed by since then. I believe a hold on the mobile check is reasonable, but even that given time frame has passed. However, I do not understand the hold on my account such that I can not log in and such that I can not access any of my money at all. Even though I have received my debit card, I have not been able to activate it in order to deposit or withdraw money ( even the amount they said was " available. '' Additionally the customer service agent hung up on me today after I told them I wanted to file a complaint with them.

Complaint: I am a senior citizen now and have a fixed income, social security check and I also work part time and have a pension. I filled out a credit application on XX/XX/18 for an auto loan with XXXX XXXX in XXXX Ma. They sent my application to 3 different banks and all 3 denied me credit because of the following : Proportion of balance to credit lmt too high on revolving accts Amount owed on revolving accounts is too high Too many accounts with balances Too many recent credit checks I have never asked for or applied for any credit in years, so I believe the last statement is not valid. I have had credit cards for over 20 yrs. and have never missed a payment or never been late on any card. I am able to manage my money. My daughter and I own our home together and each pay half of the mortgage, utilities and food. This is how I am able to manage my money. I need a car to get to work, grocery shop errands, etc. and have never been denied credit to get a car. Currently I lease a car and it has worked out great for me. The car is due back by the end of next month. Now, because I've been denied credit, I'm so afraid to go anywhere else to try and get another car. I have to have a car and I don't know where to turn or what to do .... I'm so worried and anxious all the time. My credit score on the letters says it is XXXX and the other 2, XXXX. If I look online, XXXX has it as XXXX. I believe this is a good score. A car is a necessity, and if I've never been late or missed a payment, I feel I should not be denied. Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX and my account number was XXXXxxxx I have disputed inaccurate reporting from Huntington Bank 3 Times. Each of my credit Bureaus have different payment history which changes each time its diaputed. There are current payments followed by 120 days late which makes no sense. I lost a job of 8 years and it appears the only thing they want to do is negatively impact my credit with inaccurate negative reporting. Each bureau report is different even though theyve been disputed 3 times to be updated. As an example on report shows the ending of XX/XX/XXXX 30 days late. The other two show XX/XX/XXXX 90 days late after being 120 days late and paid in full the month prior. Please update my payment history correctly. You cant be 60 days late in XX/XX/XXXX but paid in full the month before. The most recent disputes I have sent were in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX. I have attached images of my report I can also locate the confirmation receipts from mailing them certified. Please correct my payment history or delet the account from the 3 Credit Bureaus.

Complaint: I live overseas and have recently moved from XXXX XXXX to XXXX. I tried to access my account on XX/XX/XXXX in order to change my address and phone number. I was not able to access the account but I was asked to answer a security question : " What is your brother or sister 's middle name? ". I got the question wrong because it is ambiguous ( I have a brother and sister and they both have two middle names ). I have tried contacting the bank many times via phone, online chat, and direct messaging, but they will not let me access the account without visiting a branch. The nearest branch is a five-hour train ride from where I live and I do not have time to go there. I need to know my balance so that I can complete my tax forms by XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: I had an account through XXXX XXXX for a XXXX XXXX XXXX. The loan was in my ex-husbands and my name. We went through a divorce in the fall of XX/XX/XXXX. The bank account the payment came out of was closed. The loan was bought by Huntington national bank-account number XXXX.Called and gave Huntington the new bank account with my name only and told them of the divorce and that I was awarded the XXXX XXXX and would continue the payments no problem. Fast forward, I traded the XXXX in for a new vehicle the first of XX/XX/XXXX the payment comes out automatically the XXXX of every month. I called Huntington on XX/XX/XXXX and told them vehicle had been traded in to cancel the payment was told situation was taken care of. XX/XX/XXXX the {$470.00} payment was taken out of my bank account. Called XX/XX/XXXX and was told they was sorry and a check would be issued to me personally and gave my current address as the mailing address for said check, and that it would be within 2 weeks ( Ref # XXXX ). XX/XX/XXXX called again since check had not been received and was told that a check had been issued the day prior and would arrive within 5-7 days at my current mailing address. As of XX/XX/XXXX still no check, call once again and am told that the check was sent out to my ex-husband and that the check could not be canceled or reissued and the money could not be put back into my bank account from which it has been drafted the last 3 years and that there was nothing they or myself could do to change it or get MY hard earned money back.

Complaint: I established a mortgage with an escrow account with Huntington Bank on XX/XX/XXXX. The first installment of my taxes was due on XX/XX/XXXX. I received the bill, which I faxed to them at their request on XX/XX/XXXX. I have subsequently called to follow up on payment of the taxes ( most notably on XX/XX/XXXX, to inform them the tax bill would be delinquent if not paid, and XX/XX/XXXX, the date they indicated the issue would be resolved ). The tax bill has still not been paid, which they have stated is a system issue on their side. However, the tax bill is accruing interest. When I inquire about who will bear the interest costs due to nonpayment, Huntington has informed me on both the XXXX and the XXXX that this will be " researched '' after the tax bill is paid. This is not acceptable to me. I pride myself on having great credit and on paying my bills timely and I will not accept responsibility for any late charges or penalties that are a result of Huntington 's inability to figure out how to pay the taxes through their system. My escrow is fully funded and had more than enough funds to cover the cost of my tax bill on the day it was due.

Complaint: Hello, I received a call for an unknown number on XX/XX/XXXX. The woman stated she was scheduled to process serve me papers on XX/XX/XXXX in regards to a civil suit. When I pushed for detail, she gave me a telephone number ( XXXX ) XXXX and a File ID # XXXX to call. I call this number and explained what the woman said. The man asked me for my name and case ID number. I asked him who he was with and he said XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. He asked me to hold, so he could reach out to the assigned attorney for a hard copy of my case file. Both he and the woman asked me to confirm the last -four digits of my SSN ( which I did after they repeated it to me ) several times. After waiting for a couple of minutes, the man states their client Huntington Bank is planning to file a civil suit against me for a 2008 overdraft balance of {$660.00} for an account ending in XXXX. I asked for a written documentation, of the alleged balance due, court filings, etc, but he said the client has sent me letters in an attempt to clear up the debt. However, I have received absolutely nothing. I did have an account briefly with Huntington, but I did close it once I moved away from their branches, so I do not believe in good faith that I have outstanding debt. He also said unless I agreed to give him my payment information right now and over the phone, he would mark my account as " in dispute '', and I would be served on XX/XX/XXXXby the woman who initially called me. He said he was a mediator and could help settle this for less than what the suit will cost me. I told him I would not provide credit or bank card information over the phone without some kind of written proof from their office or the client. I had not received any written communication from Huntington Bank or company hired to represent them. He said I would receive written confirmation of the debt owed thru XXXX once I set up a payment plan with him ( as he said he was acting on behalf of the assigned attorney ). I declined to provide my payment information over the phone and without proof. He said I can then expect to be served, and hung up on me. Thank you for your assistance.

Complaint: Huntington Bank Voice MasterCard XXXX XXXX deception. We have a Voice MasterCard issued by Huntington Bank and at the time we signed up for the card we were told it covered any rental car damage not covered by our insurance. We had a minor accident with a rental car charged on our Huntington Voice MasterCard. The total damage was {$360.00} and {$110.00} was paid by our insurance company, leaving a {$250.00} deductible charge that should been covered by our Huntington MasterCard. Our bank Relationship contact told us we were covered and just file a claim. After trying to file the claim it was rejected. We have talked to many people at Huntington including the branch manager and called the manager of the Huntington Voice MasterCard credit card division, none of whom had any knowledge that this card did not cover car rental damage. Attached is a copy of the " XXXX XXXX '' given to customers to file claim. On this XXXX XXXX letter it even specifies to " decline the collision/loss damage waiver offered by the car rental company ''. Attached is a copy of the unpaid {$250.00} deductible bill that I had to pay. I am sure that somewhere buried in the vault of Huntington there is a document that says that there is no coverage, but this is clearly a very deceptive and unfair practice and should be put to an end.

Complaint: Huntington bank closed my account on XX/XX/XXXX shortly after I complained about illegal overdraft fees. When I asked why my account was closed Huntington Banks response was this : " Huntingtons system monitors accounts in a negative status and the system will automatically close accounts that remain in a negative status for a period of time as your account remained in a negative status your checking account ending in XXXX was systematically closed on XX/XX/XXXX and - {$23.00} was owed to Huntington. Huntington gave a partial answer ..for a period of time now everyone knows computers can not think on their own ( at least not yet ) Huntingtons system in programmed to close accounts after a specific amount of time, I want to know how long that period is. Consumer have a right to know and I believe that information MUST be transparent. Therefore, my only question is this : 1. How long must an Huntington Bank account be overdrawn for it to be systematically closed? I will not stop until I get a response to that question. I believe Huntington bank does no provide this information to consumers in any contract disclosures when it is information consumers have a legal right to know.

Complaint: I had an unauthorized charge on my Debit card for {$840.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I filed a dispute with my Bank ( Huntington ) when i saw the transaction on XX/XX/XXXX this is a second account and i manage my funds using a checkbook not online, and in 5 days they declined the dispute saying that the charge was only 12 miles from customers home address. That is the only reason that they gave for declining it. And i am now out XXXX dollars. I have tried to go into a branch and figure out more about the merchant ( XXXX ) but no one can tell me anything. I have tried filing a disupite again in a branch but no one seems willing to help
