Complaint: I have recently moved from Ohio to North Carolina and bank with Huntington. On XX/XX/XXXX I made a mobile deposit of XXXX from a check from XXXX XXXX. The mobile site on Huntington stated my funds would be available next business day. However they were not. I needed to make another check deposit of XXXX. So I mobile deposited XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I called the bank to confim access to my funds but they stated they had to put a hold on my account due to the suspicion of fraud. No one would and could tell me anything else other than I was locked out of my account and wouldnt have access to anything until the following week once everything was cleared. Knowing this I told the representative that I would have to put a stop payment on the second check so that I could have cash available to me since I did not have another bank in my new state. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and my bank still has yet to unlock access to my account I can not see anything online nor use my debit card. I am now being told they are going to close my account due to risk but that is all they will tell me and once it is cleared they will mail me a cashiers check with the money in my account. I attempted to update my address with them over the phone since I did not have access to my account and they are unable to do that as well. My problem is the lack of communication to resolve the problem when me the consumer has done nothing wrong! I need help and I need this to be known that I am putting up a fight because Huntington has not done its job to protect the customer and only penalized me for something that is beyond my control. The check is not fraudulent and the understanding that my friend was putting a stop payment so I would have access to some cash should not be a reason to penalize a customer of 10 years. To top all of this off every day I made a phone call to see the updated status of my account and every rep. was rude and told me a different story of why and when my account would be available.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I opened a Huntington 5 checking account in the XXXX branch in person. I emailed my coupon code to the banker for a {$200.00} checking bonus. XXXX XXXX : XXXX You were required to make cumulative deposit of {$1000.00} w/in the first 60 days. I made the {$1000.00} deposit at opening to satisfy the conditions of the bonus. The {$200.00} was to be deposited within 14 days after the account was open for 90 days ( XXXX XXXX ). XX/XX/XXXX is 104 days after opening and I have not received my bonus. I contacted the customer service line for Huntington and was told to contact the branch. I contacted the branch and have not received a contact back from the banker who opened my account as of the time of writing.

Complaint: my prior complaint with CFPB is XXXX and the Huntington Bank case # is XXXX. I thought they had fixed the errors but it isn't. They have now take the one line of credit that was paid off and reopened it adding around {$3300.00} in debt and now have subtracted that amount from the other line of credit that should have all the debt.
On another note I just had my credit run and now the XXXX who is guarantor on these lines of credit shows they have charged of {$23000.00} in this debt, yet I have never missed a payment to Huntington Bank and I am continuing to make payments to Huntington on a monthly auto pay system. I have frequently called the Huntington reps and am getting blown off again.

Complaint: We began the process to build a new home and through our construction loan company 's ( XXXX XXXX Bank ) suggestion we applied for a Home Equity Line of Credit through Huntington Bank in the amount of XXXX. When we talked to the loan officer at Huntington Bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), he explained that the interest rate was 4.99 % and they were running a promotion for this type of loan that would lock in the rate of 4.99 %. I confirmed this fact via email and he replied that i was correct ( I have the email if you need it ). We closed on this loan on XX/XX/2018 and at no time during the closing did XXXX make the statement that we had to take an immediate withdrawal from the loan to lock it in. This is an interest only loan and he knew it would be closed within 6 months. We had this set to use as our down payment on the construction loan. On XX/XX/2018, we made a withdrawal of XXXX. Our first interest only payment was due the following month. XXXX 's payment was {$230.00}, XXXX 's payment was XXXX XXXX 's payment was XXXX, XXXX 's payment was XXXX, and XXXX payment is XXXX. We noticed the difference in payments when we received the 2nd invoice. We also noticed the interest rate was NOT locked at 4.99 % but the loan had been changed to a revolving line variable rate loan which the interest rate is now over 7 %. We in no way would have ever agreed to this type of loan. We contacted Huntington about this and brought this to the attention of XXXX XXXX. After a few days he responded saying that we were correct about the 4.99 % fixed rate and that he went to his superiors and they were unwilling to do anything about it. He then suggested that we contact XXXX XXXX which we did. She said that she would look into this and get this resolved. XXXX XXXX referred us to XXXX XXXX which we called and left him a voicemail. We have spoken with him a couple of times about this. Each time he told us he was working on it and would get it resolved. On XX/XX/2018, we received an email apologizing for not reaching out to us sooner. He asked that we call him as soon as possible which we did. On XX/XX/2018, he acknowledged that he still needs to get this resolved. He said he would get the approval by end of business on XX/XX/2018 and will call us as soon as it is resolved. We have heard nothing from him since the XX/XX/2018 email. We have attempted to contact him several times via email ( XX/XX/18, XX/XX/18 and XX/XX/2018 ), he has not responded to us since XX/XX/18. We feel that Huntington bank is avoiding us regarding this issue and is not willing to abide by the contract that we signed in good faith at 4.99 %. We also feel that we have been a victim of " bait and switch ''.

Complaint: I recently discovered Huntington Bank was incorrectly reporting my account as being 30 days late for the period from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I contested the incorrect reporting and showed them they were not properly crediting the first payment made in XXXX of XXXX. After my complaint not only did Huntington fail to correct their error they reported me late on six additional occasions. The credit reporting is attached. I have also attached Huntington on payments history which show I was never 30 days late. The initial 4 mistakes was their error but the addition of 6 other months and a claim i was 60 dyas late in XXXX of XXXX was not only wrong it was intentionally damaging to my credit report. Not only have I never been late I have always paid in excess on the monthly payment. At this time I am 2 months ahead.

Complaint: This is NOT a duplicate complaint!!! Any other complaint was submitted without XXXX knowledge. This is in regards to my adult son who is XXXX XXXX. He was taken advantage of by an online company that racked up several thousand dollars in charges. As his guardian, I need to let Huntington National Bank know what has happened. As I said, my son is XXXX XXXX. He is on social security XXXX. He doesnt have the XXXX XXXX to know what he is doing. He was duped by a company called XXXX. They duped him into making debit card charges directly to them and through XXXX. I didnt even know he had a XXXX account until going over his bank records. These charges are on his bank statement as XXXX XXXX and XXXX . It looks like some of these have been refunded but others have not. The ones that werent refunded are ... Complaint: I applied for and closed a HELOC with Huntington Bank. Huntington opened up a checking account with the origination of the loan. I was asked before we closed the loan " would I want proceeds of the HELOC deposited into the newly established checking account? '' I said yes, in the amount of {$200000.00}. Unfortunately the loan processor made an error and issued a cashier 's check instead of funding the account electronically. On Wednesday XX/XX/18, I deposited the cashier 's check ( drawn off of Huntington ) into my new Huntington DDA. On Thursday, I attempted a wire which was rejected because there was a stop payment on the cashier 's check. As a result the my DDA was frozen for suspicious activity and has remained frozen for a week with no end in sight.
In addition, I was led to believe the only freeze was regarding the online account access which I had to inquire a bit more thoroughly about only to find out the account is actually frozen.
By the Bank 's own admission of error ( documented in emails ), I am no longer able access any of the funds in my account.
