Complaint: the XXXX XXXX XXXX was purchased XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXThey first arranged the with XXXX XXXX.When I got the 1st late notice from XXXX I phoned them and told the person I talked to about how I would need a different due date.This was because I only income is from Social Security XXXX.They extended o reasonable grace period so I would avoid any late fees in the the future.This the exact same procedure I took with hunting when I received my 1st late notice from them.At the time I first called they their customer assistant in formed me huntington did not offer grace periods and I would have to make the payment an pay the late fees or I woud never see my title.I have a half a dozen times when Called huntington a discussed the same Social Security issue with them.Same answer huntnigton has no grace time for passed due payments.I have made monthly payment on the principle ever month since XXXX.never missed a payment.I received on XX/XX/XXXX a loan transaction history. With a start date of payment of XX/XX/XXXX.
The conversation I had with a rep from huntington, I asked why they never tried to work with me that rep asked why didn't apply for a distress wavier.Well think that ' because it was never offered.
I have the copies of the Loan history an checks.I don't have ready access to a fax.Wiil happily mail. e-mail or tex and let me know.

Complaint: I was told 2 different bits of information today in regards to 2 involuntary offsets in my accounts, 1 for {$150.00} in my checking and one for {$170.00} in my savings. Huntington says that there were 4 accounts in my name, and I have only ever had my 2 current accounts, and one other account. The customer service rep from financial services advised that they had charged these accounts off, and a lawyer in my family advised that it is illegal to offset an account once it has been charged off. When I called back the 2nd time, I was told the account had been charged off to huntington themselves, and that they had bought it back from themselves. ( yes I know that is strange!! ). I have payments that I have already set up coming out of the account and the need to put the money back. NO ONE ever contacted me from Huntington in regards to any account other than the one that I have already paid off. I am not certain this is not some sort of identity theft, and we would have no way to see, since they failed to even attempt to make sure I had open these accounts they are speaking off. 2 customer service reps did not assist me in any way, and I have been waiting on a supervisor to call me back before the end of the day, and that hasn't happened either. I would like them to PROVE they attempted to contact me in regards to this, they obviously have my phone and address and have sent ZERO notification that this would be taking place. If someone opened an account in my name, would I have any other way of being notified? Especially if there was other contact info used to set the account up. Huntington Bank needs to be held accountable for not banking inside the standards set up by the government.

Complaint: EST contact was around XX/XX/2018, I would be short on money. I had mad arrangements for Huntington Bank to take 3 payment directly out of my checking account, for 3 months. It was from opening a bank account, and I had not put money into the account. So they fined me XXXX Now today I get a letter from a collection agency XXXX XXXX XXXX a collection company. I'm trying to fix my credit due to another company 's negligence, now I've paid this bank and their trying to collect again, worse yet reported to a collection agency further ruining my credit. I want it removed, since their trying to FRAUDULENTLY SCAM ME AND REPORT TO A CREDIT COLLECTION AGENCY, I WANT MONEY TO COMPENSATE THIS DISTRESS, AND I WANT TO PRESS CHARGES ON HUNTINGTON BANK FOR FRAUDULENTLY TRYING TO COLLECT AGAIN WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION, AND REPORTING THIS TO A COLLECTION AGENCY. Complaint: I have been attempting to remove PMI from my mortgage for about 18 months. The mortgage servicer, Huntington Mortgage Group, will not consider the original appraisal of my property ( {$120000.00} ) but only the refinance value of XXXX
The original mortgage was closed on XX/XX/XXXX and this loan was refinanced on XX/XX/XXXX, through the HARP program, which did not require a new appraisal.
I currently owe {$96000.00}, significantly less than 80 %, nevertheless the Company is requiring a current appraisal, at my expense, with a cost of {$380.00} by their referred appraiser and no guarantee of it being a fair and valid one. I am unable to afford this.
According to XXXX XXXX XXXX the current value of my property is {$130000.00}, according to XXXX it is {$150000.00}.
It does seem odd and quite unfair that, for taking advantage of a federal government program ( HARP ), I am being penalized, since, if I had nor refinanced there would be no issue on the cancellation of PMI based on the original purchase price, with no need of an updated appraisal.

Complaint: my mortgage payments are {$78000.00} a month we had a bad few months, so i was paying {$700.00} a month and 4 months, later Huntington bank was trying to foreclose on our home with letters, i could not figure out what was happening, so i called them they had told me i had not been paying my payments, the 3 {$700.00} payments, just sat there, the XXXX, mi branch took my money, and all was good, then when i talked to them oh they had to tall XXXX oh, because they did not take care of that any more, i talked to a XXXX in the XXXX mi branch, he has yet to even call me back and get this straightened out, so i dealt with XXXX oh and finally got back on track, they said because i was not paying my payment in full they could not apply it to our acct,????? really, they actually mailed 2 check from Huntington bank in XXXX and XXXX back to us, instead of applying the, so they finally after my calls canceled them and once i pd {$86.00} on XX/XX/XXXX they applied one payment, then on XX/XX/XXXX i pd another {$170.00} they applied 2 more and then i pd {$780.00} plus {$100.00} late charge and they applied that one, the XX/XX/XXXX payment of {$700.00} they pulley out and reapplied that one, so finally on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX payments got applied .I still owe for XX/XX/XXXX payment, every month because they wrote us up in the credit bureau and have ruined our credit, over not applying that money to our acct.i think they need to be fired for screwing peoples lives up, i will never recommend this bank to anyone, and i feel they need to correct this,. computers are only as good as the person putting in the info., i have never heard of a bank refusing money, because they can not apply to the balance, crazy.

Complaint: Opened a HELOC in XX/XX/XXXX with an initial draw with a fixed rate of 5.49 % over 5 years for {$40000.00}. A month later i took an additional {$20000.00} ( non-amortizing ) under a 6-month promo rate of 4.49 % that reverted to 7.25 % on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to make a payment of {$20000.00} to pay down the {$20000.00} draw that had a higher rate, however by default the payment is applied to the oldest draw, not the draw with the highest interest rate. I believe this would fall under the Card Act ( pursuant to Reg Z ) which requires institutions to apply payments to the highest interest rate segment of a credit extension.
I spoke with the bank and customer service said they were unable to apply the payment in this manner. My personal banker spoke with a rep from XXXX XXXX who can apply it manually however I fear this is a systemic issue that is leading to undue interest income for the institution at the expense of less-informed borrowers. Standard practice should be to apply payments to the draw with the highest interest rate first ( one monthly P & I has been satisfied ). I also wonder if this would additionally fall under UDAAP.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I opened a checking account at Huntington bank online, going through their promotional link XXXX XXXX XXXX ( not available anymore ). The rules of the promotion were as follows : Receive a bonus of {$300.00} when you open a new Huntington 5 checking account and make deposits of at least {$2000.00} into your checking account within 60 days of account opening. I satisfied the requirements but didn't receive the bonus after 90 days as they promised.
Upon contacting the bank, I was told that my account doesn't have any promotion attached. They refuse to pay out the bonus. Even after referring to above link, they wouldn't help.

Complaint: I closed my checking account with Huntington Bank XX/XX/XXXX. After discovering they prevented another payment from going through, causing me to pay another late fee. Also in XX/XX/XXXX, I had gone to the Social Security Office for another matter, when I found that Huntington Bank had told Social Security that I had two checking accounts with them, I never had two checking accounts, Huntington close my checking account then reopened it, why they did that I don't know, I never got the answer. Their actions caused me a problem for me with the Social Security Office, they thought I was deceiving them, that I had extra money I was trying to hide.
