Complaint: I have a loan with HUNTINGTON NATIONAL BA. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and HUNTINGTON NATIONAL BA with no successful resolution. XXXX, XXXX and XXXX only reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late.

Complaint: XXXX, XXXX and XXXX secured a default judgment against me for a debt that I do not actually owe. It did so by going to another jurisdiction, that apparently did not require any proof that this debt was owed by me. XXXX, XXXX and XXXX was retained by Huntington Bank to collect on a home loan that was in foreclosure. I did not owe on the mortgage, rather my husband signed a lease to rent the property. The owner of the property went into bankruptcy, therefore no funds could be collected from him. Therefore, the firm XXXX, XXXX and XXXX sued my husband, and obtained a default judgment against him, as he had entered into an agreement to lease the property, however, I did not enter into any agreement to lease the property. A judgment was entered against my husband, on XX/XX/XXXX. Yet on XX/XX/XXXX a certificate of judgment was entered against both me and my husband, while the initial judgment was not. How did this happen? It seems that the firm XXXX, XXXX and XXXX simply added my name to the judgment, I guess, because the debt was owed by my spouse. Prior to that, the firm had been illegally garnishing my wages, all based on the debt of my husband. In XXXX of XXXX, I entered into a settlement agreement with the firm, agreeing to pay {$3500.00} to settle the debt. I have paid that amount, several times over. I have in fact, paid nearly {$10000.00} toward this debt that I do not owe. When I attempted to make settlement payments, the firm repeatedly breached the settlement agreement by continuing to garnish my wages, and refusing my monthly payments in order to trigger a breach of the settlement agreement and initiate the default judgment in its entirety. This debt collector has acted in bad faith in so manny different ways, beginning with the initial law suit. This is an attempt to collect on a foreclosed property, which neither I nor my husband owned or have any financial liability for, but because the owner of the property filed for bankruptcy, this debt collector has viciously pursued collection against me, who has absolutely no legal or financial connection to the property. I have already paid {$10000.00} on a debt that I did not owe. I want the firm to cease and desist from any further attempts to collect anything on this debt, which, again, I do not owe and never owed.

Complaint: Please read attached documents of the letter I attempted to send to the agency contacting me. The fax number provided was fake. The company trying to collect the debt did not advice the standard " this is an attempt to collect a debt '', in addition, harassed me and refused to provide me business name, address and fax number to send bankruptcy papers to. They also told me that I could not bankrupt the debt. I was repeatedly told I was being sued and could have the address and fax number for my attorney when I received my court papers. They had a woman contact me to tell me she is a process server planning to serve me court papers. I called the following day and they gave me the business name of XXXX XXXX and a false fax number. I have no statements or documents from this company and can not find the company on the internet to reach out to any other person in that agency or to locate an address/fax number. The telephone number I have is XXXX and an incorrect fax number of XXXX. The XXXX people I have spoken to is XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. The process server who called me was XXXX XXXX. Case number is XXXX under the account name of XXXX XXXX. They claim they were collecting a debt from Huntington Bank from 2010 in the amount of XXXX for overdraft fees. I advised that I filed a no asset chapter XXXX.

Complaint: My parents dog recently passed away suddenly and I wanted to get them a new puppy. I had been checking into puppies when my mother notified me she had found one through a friend who had gotten a puppy from this company and they were more reasonably priced. As they were referred by a friend, and we checked all the puppy scam lists, we were not hesitant to move forward on the transaction. We both signed the contract electronically and on XX/XX/2019 XXXX ET I transferred the money to them through XXXX XXXX XXXX. We were to pick the puppy up from the airport on XX/XX/XXXX. They answered all my mother 's phone calls and emails and were very cooperative. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a text message from my mother that she now saw them on the scam list. What we didn't know was that the couple who was referred to us had retired and this company purchased their domain name since they had such a good reputation. I have been told by my bank, Huntington, that since it was a XXXX transfer there wasn't anything they could do. When I called again they said they would open a case but it would take 60-90 days and still probably couldn't do anything. My mother filed a complaint with the XXXX, TX Police Department ( we are still waiting on a case number ). The FTC ( XXXX # XXXX ), the ic3.gov ( Victim # XXXX ), the XXXX, she found their IP address and spoke to the hosting company for their website and got it shut down, to XXXX to get their email addresses closed and to XXXX so they could be put on their list as well. My mother was told that do to the severity of the problem, it is now under the umbrella of Homeland Security. When my mother followed up with the FTC and ic3.gov, they both stated that if we had any problem with the bank to notify them. All I'm asking is that, as with any other fraud claim, the money be returned to my account while its being investigated. We certainly have enough information to proof it was a scam/fraud. My concern is, if they take 60-90 days to investigate, this company will be shut down and there will be no way to make contact with them.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a new checking account at a Huntington Bank branch, with the promotion saying '' {$200.00} bonus ''. After meeting their promotion bonus requirements, I didnot receive the bonus. When arguing in a Huntington Bank branch, they said I should have " direct deposit ''. That's terrible, because they didnot tell me about this in detail when opening the account. SO I just made deposit to the account. ( Sorry, I don't understand what's the difference between " deposits '' and " direct deposits '', you should tell me when opening account. ) And now they also have the promotion ( https : //www.huntington.com/XXXX? XXXX & XXXX & XXXX & XXXX : XXXX : XXXX & XXXX & XXXX & XXXX & XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX & XXXX & XXXX ) The above link says : ) : " Make total deposits of at least {$1000.00} within 60 days of account opening. '' I don't know why they changed the promotion policy time by time. My friend have got the {$200.00} bonus. Why not me? The bank should treat the consumers equally. Thanks.

Complaint: Opened a complaint last month. Company said it was resolved but it wasn't. I have a line of credit with two promo rates. One is fixed for five years, the other promo rate lapsed at the end of last month. I took an additional draw to use to pay down the lapsing rate ( which would be higher than the fixed rate ). The company applied the payment to the lower interest rate ( so they could collect more interest income ). I specifically asked for them to apply it to the higher rate. Initially they said they couldn't so i filed the complaint. After the CFPB complaint the compliance officer said they had applied it to the appropriate note however upon checking, they did not.This has become a pattern of consumer abuse. Luckily I work in the financial sector and am savvy enough to realize their deceptive practices however I fear for other consumers that have less experience in this industry. This treatment is nothing short of predatory

We gave permission for XXXX and/or the local XXXX dealer to provide financing ; but did not authorize any other party or another third party to have access to our information/credit. XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, OH gave these companies permission to run our credit, but we did not authorize that ; nor did we expect that to happen. We were told XXXX would be our lender, but I guess they couldn't match what our bank offered us and they looked and looked for someone that would ; but failed.
