Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent, via certified mail, a debt validation letter to First Federal Credit Control requesting to validate the alleged debt of {$800.00}. The collection agency received the debt validation letter on XX/XX/XXXX and responded with a bill/statement/ invoice which i received on XX/XX/XXXX. However, providing a bill/invoice of the alleged debt is not a form a validation it is a form of verification was not what i requested in the debt validation letter. Also I am allowed under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act to protect my privacy and medical records from third parties. I do not recall giving permission to release my medical information to a third party. I am aware that the HIPAA does allow for limited information about me but anything more is to only be revealed with the patients authorization. Please note that withholding the information you received from any medical provider in an attempt to be HIPAA compliant can be a violation of the FDCPA. Additionally, any reporting of this debt to the credit bureaus prior to allowing me to validate it may be a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which can allow me to seek damages from a collection agent.

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: I have sent a debt validation notices to the creditor and only receive a verification of the debt instead of a validation of the debt. As per the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act ( FDCPA ), a credit is supposed to respond with the original creditors name, address, and account number and not report to the credit bureaus nor attempt to collect until they have responded.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: First Federal Credit Control has listed as of XX/XX/XXXX, 2 accounts totalling {$1400.00} on my XXXX report and 3 accounts on my XXXX report totalling {$1500.00}. I sent a certified Debt Validation letter giving them 30 days to respond. I have since filed a complaint with the XXXX, # XXXX in which First Federal acknowledged reciept of the certified letter on XX/XX/XXXX. The resolution i am seeking is validation of the alleged amounts. They responded to XXXX stating they could not find the accounts, spoke with a " XXXX '' who was rude and said that " My bills '' were in route and my debt validation letter was " Jargon '' that did not matter. I seek to have all listings from First Federal Credit Control removed from all 3 credit reporting agencies. They have not complied with my Debt Validation request giving them until XX/XX/XXXX to respond.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I recently received a copy of my credit report. I noticed several collections accounts reported by First Federal Credit Control for alleged medical debt. I wrote a letter to this collection agency onXX/XX/XXXX and sent it to them certified mail. In my letter, I requested validation of the alleged debt and HIPAA authorization. I advised them I did not recall giving my permission for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to release my medical information to a 3rd party. I requested a breakdown of fees including any collection costs and medical charges. I also requested a copy of my signature with the provider of service to release my medical information to them. Lastly I requested that all reporting to any credit bureau cease until the alleged debt was validated by myself. I did not receive any paperwork showing my signature or authorization to release my personal medical information. I received copies of specific diagnosis codes with personal medical information, service dates and charges. I have also filed a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights due to my strong belief that my health information privacy acts was violated.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: The company has sent me an incorrect form regarding the VOD- per a prior statement on another complaint they indicated the name of the provider is at the top of the sheet- however it is not. Therefore the document provided has nothing to do with the alleged debt and is not applicable to this. You can not send another providers information claiming it is applicable- clear violation. Since the company is unable to provide further documentation this needs to be off my credit report immediately.

Complaint: This correspondence is in lieu of the fact the company has yet to complete a full validation of debt. I requested the following to be completed and to date they are not : 1. The agreement which authorizes the creditor to collect debt on the alleged debt 2. The signed agreement from the debtor conforming to pay the creditor 3. The documents regarding the payments made on this account validating the amount.
4. Documentation showing you are licensed to collect debts in Ohio.
This is still showing up on my credit report although I do not have full validation of debt. The alleged debt needs to be removed immediately and expedited. The company needs to be advised that the billing is questionable, disputed and after reviewing this, it appears to be not owed to the best of my knowledge. In addition, this company has made me feel threatened, using violations and has used threats of calling the cops, therefore it is very difficult to remedy this issue alongside causing severe stress to my health.
cc below my initial concerns and requests : First Federal Credit Control XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX OH XXXX XX/XX/18 Re account : XXXX To whom this may concern, This letter is to inform you that I still do not have any validation of debt, however this still remains on my credit report. This needs to be removed immediately and expedited. This is a clear violation, in addition to this violation, we have at hand the fact that First Federal Credit Control threatened to call the cops on me. This is all due to an alleged debt that still remains on my credit report. This means of intimidation and threats is unacceptable by the FDCPA. Please note these threats are a violation that is remedied by a {$1000.00} payment. You need to rectify and remove this alleged debt from my credit report immediately. CC below my initial complaint with official VOD demand.
I was going through a copy of my credit report and noticed that there was a collection from your agency on my credit report, which I was not notified about. I dont refuse to pay, but this is a notice that your claim is disputed.
In accordance with the FDCPA, I have the right to request for a validation of my debt. This is asking for proof regarding this and verifying the same.
You must be aware that reporting such inaccurate information will result in defamation of character and it would leave a dark patch in my credit report. You are supposed to stop all collection activities, including reporting this information on my credit report. I am sure you are aware of the fact that non-compliance with this request will lead to legal trouble. Please attach copies of the following with the reply : 1. The agreement which authorizes the creditor to collect debt on the alleged debt 2. The signed agreement from the debtor conforming to pay the creditor 3. The documents regarding the payments made on this account validating the amount.
4. Documentation showing you are licensed to collect debts in Ohio.
Because I am writing you within 30 days of becoming aware of this debt, you must cease attempting to collect this alleged debt until after you send the requested information. Any attempt to collect this debt without validating it violates the FDCPA. Also be advised that I am keeping records of all correspondence from you and your company, and I will not hesitate to report violations of the law to my State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the XXXX. I have disputed the debt, therefore until it is validated your information concerning this debt is assumed to be inaccurate. Accordingly, you must inform the Credit Bureau immediately and any other credit reporting agency of my dispute of this debt. Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act 1681 s2. Finally. If you do not own this debt, I demand that you immediately send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor so they are also ware that I dispute this debt. This is an official VOD demand.

Complaint: This concern is regarding First Federal Credit Control. This past month there was a request- formal and written requesting a validation of debt- certified. There has been no validation of debt provided to me and in addition I have received threats from them that they will call the police on me, this is a clear violation. This is all regarding an alleged debt that I do not have any validation of. While I still do not have validation of debt, this still remains on my credit report. It should be off my report as this is another clear violation. Please assist me in rectifying this as I feel threatened First Federal Credit Control.

Complaint: account XXXX I have yet to receive full Validation of Debt regarding this alleged debt. It is to my knowledge that this is not owed. My full request is incomplete below are the requests : 1. The agreement which authorizes the creditor to collect debt on the alleged debt 2. The signed agreement from the debtor conforming to pay the creditor 3. The documents regarding the payments made on this account validating the amount.
4. Documentation showing you are licensed to collect debts in Ohio.
In addition, I was again threatened to have the police called on me. This is all because of an alleged debt that I do not feel I owe. I feel incredibly threatened by First Federal Credit Control. In addition, it was informed to the CFPB that I was confrontational, and called 7 times. Calling my confrontational is slanderous and a violation. The reason I called was due to the fact I was hung up on several times and my inquires were not answered. This is considered entrapment, intimidation and a clear violation. I request this is off my credit report - I ask First Federal Credit Control to cease and desist. In addition, I hope that this is rectified soon as I do plan on escalating these threats/ violations if not rectified timely.
