Communication tactics

Debt collection: Medical debt

Used obscene, profane, or other abusive language
Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I called First Federal Credit Control Services in regards to medical debt they have from my general practitioners office. My GP notified me that I needed to make a payment arrangement on the bill to continue to be seen. I was not aware of the amount or which one specifically when I called. Apparently there is a few and some are a couple of years old. I have been working to pay them off slowly, I do realize. I spoke to one woman initially who asked what I could pay and I said I could pay {$40.00} bi weekly and she said I was welcome to do so online but this would not resolve the matter as they would only accept 1/3 of the total amount owed today to start a payment arrangement with me. I asked what they would ask for today and she said {$480.00}. I told her I did not have that much to give them right now. She told me that some of my bills were very old, etc. I told her I realize. She reiterated the last time I made a payment was in XXXX. I also said I realize. I asked for a supervisor. She placed me on hold for an extended period. I spoke to a XXXX XXXX who then berated me telling me oh boohoo we all have lives and kids but we pay our bills and told me you better hurry up because you have one minute before I hang up on you she yelled at me and hollered in the phone. XXXX chose to continue to be abusive in her language. I sure hope their calls are recorded. When I asked for her name and if she was even a supervisor she said youre not going to intimidate me I chose to disconnect the call. This is not how business should be conducted. Bill collector or not. I was attempting to set up an arrangement to get this bill in order. I was continually told how much debt there was out there {$1400.00} which in the grand scheme isnt huge. But {$1400.00} when you dont have it might as well be {>= $1,000,000}.

Communication tactics

Debt collection: Medical debt

You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: The debt collector, First Federal Credit Control , XXXX, repeatedly called using different telephone numbers and did not leave a message. When I called back the numbers the party that answered did not identify themselves as a debt collector until I gave them my name, then kept demanding personal information. I received a notice from First Federal Credit Control on XX/XX/19 regarding an alleged debt vaguely identified as University XXXX XXXX XXXX, account # XXXX. On XX/XX/19 I sent a letter to the collection agency requesting information to identify the original creditor, a copy of the last billing statement, and the authority of the collection agency to collect the debt. I also requested that the debt be treated as in dispute until I received the information requested. To date, I have not received a any information. Last week I noticed that the alleged debt had been reported to a credit reporting agency without being reported as in dispute. On XX/XX/19 I sent a letter to the collection agency instructing them to immediately remove the collection notice from any credit reporting agency to which it reported it. I also instructed the collection agency to cease all communication until they provided the information I requested, including any information required under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I have noticed that the collection agency used the same account number for this alleged debt as they did with different alleged debt that is also in dispute. I have filed a complaint with the credit reporting agency.

Incorrect information on your report

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Old information reappears or never goes away
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent certified letters to XXXX for two accounts listed on my credit profile. I mentioned that both the accounts werent mine. I also mentioned that the accounts seemed to be fraudulent erroneous and I sent in documents to present to show and the account was removed but following the next couple days the accounts were listed onto my credit profile. I believe that is completely violating my rights as a consumer and that could place this company or companies in jail for consequences of breaking and violating the law. I can show you how the company violated my rights. The account was placed on my account without my acknowledgment, I wasnt contacted by XXXX, XXXX nor any collections company. I stated and sent in certified verifying documents. You have now violated my rights through the FCRA the debt buyer or CRA have failed to comply with its obligations, I am able to sue for violations of the FCRA. I will be filing a lawsuit looking to get actual damages, punitive damages, and attorneys ' fees and costs of {$1000.00} per item. This is not a threat this is malpractice and violating my rights as a consumer through the FCRA and this matter will be taken up in court. I am only an intern dispute allowing less than 3 days for this matter to be completely and permanently removed and resolved. If you attempt to continue reposting these accounts I will be sure to contact law enforcement authorities, contact my attorney generals office, file more than one lawsuit. The two accounts that were listed and dates incorrectly stating that the account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX and in XX/XX/XXXX and it was recently removed. I pay close attention to my consumer report and I receive alerts on my credit file and keep up to date to assure fools like you guys arent trying to dismantle my life placing erroneous debt on my credit file to make my life a living XXXX. I will be sure to place this online so that consumers are able to view this via online. I will also be filing a complaint as well. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, was changed to XXXX XXXX. It was placed on my credit by the same collections company and that is a violations. Look at the dates it was removed and how quickly this account was placed back onto my credit profile. Well lets put it this way, this seems like a criminal act upon the credit bureaus and collections company. There was never a document sent to me to verify XXXX. I kindly ask for any documents bearing my signature a few months ago. Youre also violating my rights within the HIPPA laws as well.
