Account status incorrect
Complaint: account paid off on XX/XX/2019. After reaching out to First Federal Credit Control, they assured that they took necessary steps to remove the account and suggested I dispute it with the bureau. After disputing the collection with the credit bureau, the results stated that the information was confirmed by the creditor to be accurately reporting. I reached out again to the creditor who advised it may take up to six months for the reported information to change, which I know to be inaccurate.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Medical debt

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: This month I checked my credit reports and found an opened dispute from First Fed Credit Control from XX/XX/XXXX for {$90.00} as well XX/XX/XXXX for {$56.00}. I was never notified from the original creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX about this owed debt. I did not receive a call or any mail to notify me of this debt. I also did not receive or hear anything from First Fed Credit Control. Therefore, I have had these derogatory marks on my credit report without ANY proper notification. I have still gone to the same XXXX XXXX XXXX to get treatment beyond these open collection dates, and was not told that I have an outstanding balance. It is to my belief that I do not owe any debts for the amounts listed above.

Took or threatened to take negative or legal action

Debt collection: Medical debt

Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Complaint: My complaint is against First Federal Credit Control , INC. They apparently sent me a notice on XX/XX/XXXX about a medical bill that is owed to one of my XXXX. The amount is for {$140.00}. I do not remember receiving the notice, but I do have a notice they sent me on XX/XX/XXXX. Nowhere on that statement does it state that it was a second notice. I called and spoke to XXXX at First Federal Credit on XX/XX/XXXX. I informed her that I got the notice and I was paying the amount that I had on my Hsa card, which was {$62.00}. I payed that amount the same day. I let her know that within the month I would take care of the {$80.00} I still owed. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email that my credit score had gone down because of a medical debt that was reported to one of the credit bureaus. I called FFCC on XX/XX/XXXX to talk about why it was reported to an agency when I had spoke to her a week and a half before and made a payment. She was extremely rude and would not discuss the debt in a normal manner. I tried to explain that I have had multiple XXXX this year and I am juggling many bills to different billing agencies. Her response was, just like everyone else has to do. Although that is true, not everyone has received medical bills totaling thousands of dollars with in a few month time period. I also asked XXXX when I called the second time why no one contacted my by telephone to let me know they were going to send it to a reporting agency or even verify that I was aware of the debt. Her response was that they called early XX/XX/XXXX and I hung up on her, which is not true at all. I find it very strange that she would not try back to see if the call even went through or it was the right number. The second call was very heated and she ended up hanging up on me. Is this standard practice if someone shows good faith with a payment? Are employees of debt collectors allowed to handle these situations however they like??
