Trouble during payment process

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: Ditech refuses to remove my PMI, although they say I am eligible if my home appraised differently. I have spent 9 months ask them to remove it based on an appraisal ordered by DITECH in late XX/XX/2017. That appraisal was XXXX. The market is hot & Ive added an additional floor of finished space since then. Finally, very apologetically, XXXX XXXX, a lawyer for them sent out another appraiser. Suddenly, my house is worth 280k. I have NEVER made a late payment, my mortgage balance is around 26Ok. They agreed ( via emails ) I have that the appraisal was strange and reestimated in their PMI Dept ( I think they just guessed ) that it was worth XXXX. Oddly, still not enough to remove PMI. At this point, I have paid 280 $ a month for 8 months of asking for it to be removed. I have all emails and both appraisals in hand. Im very upset. This is like a bunch of bullies robbing me, because they can. I cant refuse to pay. They are taking advantage of someone who cares about their credit. Please help. I dont know where to turn. Thank you.

Complaint: We are trying to get a loan payoff. We requested the payoff on XX/XX/XXXX, and told Ditech customer service that we needed to get the payoff by closing on XX/XX/XXXX. They said it would take 7 to 10 business days because their bankruptcy department would have to respond. As of XX/XX/XXXX, we don't have it. Calls to the customer service number are fruitless. This loan was part of a bankruptcy reorganization that ended in XX/XX/XXXX. The problem is we can't talk to anyone directly in their bankrupcty department about how to resolve the issues. All we can do is end up in call center nightmare being put on hold repeatedly. Trying to talk to supervisors is useless because they never answer their phone and never return their messages. All we want to do is payoff the loan!! Our sale of the property is now in jeopardy, and we have no clue as to who is looking at the issue, no phone number ... .no email ... ..no one to talk to or help get the problem resolved. We have documents that show that the loan was out of bankruptcy in XX/XX/XXXX and that the loan was not impaired or crammed down.

Complaint: Mortgage through Ditech, closed XX/XX/2017, this month received an " escrow shortage '' in the amount of {$3000.00}. Contacted both city officials and mortgage company, it appears mortgage company using wrong tax information but clearly stated on the city website expected amount/assessed value. mortgage company blames city, city saying this is false. In the interim my monthly payments expected to increase {$500.00}, able to negotiate this down to increase of {$300.00} over next 36 months to make up for both shortage and rate increase. Will potentially have to sell, live on very tight, income.

Complaint: Ditech has failed to address my prior three complaints. The response Ditech gives does not align with the action Ditech has taken. Ditech claims to have taken action and has not fulfilled what they stated they will do. Pictures are attached. I am seeking restitution of all late fees due to Ditechs failure to properly and legally apply payments ( instead, they have and continue being held as unapplied funds and are not applied to my loan ). Also, no notice was received regarding change to my payment amount. Ditech claims to have sent this, and it was never received. In previous message, company apologied for handling my account inefficiently.

Complaint: Made XX/XX/XXXX mortgage payment to Ditech mortgage but was {$72.00} short due to escrow changes. Mortgage company is charging {$51.00} late fee ( which is 71.15 % of amount of shortage ) and threatening to report a late payment to the credit bureaus if {$120.00} is not paid by the end of XX/XX/XXXX. Other mortgage companies ( XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX ) have allowed me to make up the escrow shortages in the next month 's payment without a late fee or late payment reported to the credit bureaus. I called Ditech mortgage customer service on XX/XX/18 and spoke to representative ( XXXX ) after receiving mortgage statement in the mail. The statement shows the {$1100.00} payment that I made was " suspended ''. The representative confirmed that the principal and interest payment was made and received on time but was short on the escrow amount. My complaint is a 71.15 % late payment fee is excessive and not consistent with other mortgage companies and my payment is " suspended '' but yet they have my money.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I paid my XX/XX/XXXX mortgage payment in the amount of {$1600.00} to Ditech and my XXXX XXXX XXXX account was debited on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Ditech that my escrow account was short and noticed a late charge in the amount of {$59.00} was assessed to my account. I called Ditech and spoke with a customer service represenative about the late charge. During my conversation with the respresntative, the representative stated that I have until XXXX to make my mortgage payment and my payment was received at XXXX. I explained to the representative the cut off time for making mortgage payment isn't on the bill statement and I asked how would a customer know this information if the information isn't on the billing statement. The representative was unable to answer my question and advised a manager by the name of XXXX will call me back within 24 hours. As a result, the manager never called back and I received the XX/XX/XXXX billing statement stating my mortgage payment had not been received with the late charge assessed to my account. Thank you

Trouble during payment process

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: I had a loan modification done in XX/XX/XXXX. The principle amount as of XX/XX/XXXX was {$350000.00}. Several months into this loan, they transferred it to a new company. This company has changed names, but it's been the same one since early XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received my mortgage statement stating that I owed {$77000.00} for the next payment. I called and asked what that was about. They informed me that it was an error on their side and that they would be taking care of it. I then received several more statements over the next few months with several different amounts " due immediately. '' I kept making my payments as usual and also called several times during this to ensure I wasn't missing anything. They insisted it was their mistake and they were fixing it. I finally received a statement in XX/XX/XXXX that looked like it was back to my normal payment. However, the principle amount had gone all the way up to {$350000.00}. This is more than what it was 3 years prior when the loan was modified. Since then, I have repeatedly tried to contact them ( both in writing and via phone ). Sometimes it takes several attempts to contact them before I receive a notice saying they are investigating. Each time they have been " investigating '', they have come back later and either said they have resolved the issue ( without telling me what it was ), or that they can not continue because I didn't supply the supporting documents that they had requested and so have closed the dispute. In EVERY case of the latter, I never received any kind of communication or request from them. I have seen on the payment history, downloaded from their site, where they have taken the money out of my account starting in XX/XX/XXXX for " reallocation, '' however, there is no record or explanation of where and/or why it was reallocated. I am currently selling my home and today, XX/XX/XXXX, almost 4 years after the modification, my payoff statement is a dollar figure that almost exactly the principle amount from the origination of the loan. XX/XX/XXXX Payoff statement : {$350000.00} XX/XX/XXXX New loan amount : {$350000.00} I have never missed a payment. I have copies of my bank statements that show every single payment since my modification.
