Complaint: I refinanced a home loan with Ditech Mortgage. The process was pretty sloppy, I received multiple documents referencing different amounts due @ closing among other discrepancies. They even had to send the notary back out because they missed a document. The most challenging issue was when my first payment was due. I was told by the originator that my existing automatic payment setup would rollover to the new loan and no action was required for my payments to continue to be made automatically. Turns out that wasn't true.
That led to a late payment being made. As soon as I was aware of the problem I brought the account up to date.
I immediately phoned Ditech, attempting to get my despite escalating with Ditech 's customer service organization I was repeatedly told there was simply nothing they could do, despite the refi and my stellar payment history with the firm. They took no responsibility for their actions.

Complaint: i have been going through my payments to Ditech aka Greentree and have noticed a major trend. whether my payments were paid on time or not, Ditech/ greentree did what they wanted with my payments as far as applying to principal, interest, forced insurance or other fees through the years causing overage in actual payments made up till i made my final payment, thank goodness i kept my payment receipts. this needs investigated. why you say, because you fraudulently changed the account prior to your bankruptcy to a new account and then saying that i owed over {$8000.00} more dollars. this has caused damage to myself and family. i paid through the nose dearly when i fell behind in payments in XX/XX/XXXX and even when i wasnt behind with this company by having neighbors called, constant harassment letters stating that your company was going to take my home constantly, representatives of your company coming to my home and giving me a hard time and threatening that your company was going to take action against me, having your representative drive by and take pics of my home.
during all this harassment that i and my family had to endure you got your money, every penny but it wasnt applied like it should have been.due to your harassment i was forced into bankruptcy to keep my home and even after bankruptcy, your company 's harassment didnt stop. you took me to court saying i wasnt making my payments in which i was of {$280.00}, but then i find out that an agreement had been made apparently through my attorney that raised my payment {$33.00} a month to {$320.00} and you made me pay {$2600.00} to keep my house which only a very small amount was applied to principal in which it all should have been, because payments for the time period had actually been made. also, since i had bankruptcy, i had reaffirmed my home so that constituted a new contract, which i had signed blank in my attorneys office being naive that you would be honest with me. that money was paid by me until XXXX to end of contract. when i contacted your company Ditech for final payoff, i was informed that i still owed over {$7000.00} at which time i balked and stated my disagreement and asked for payment information for the last few years, which i never received. so again being naive, i asked for a loan modification with extension to meet your demands of payoff against my belief of being already paid. your company sent me the paperwork, which i filled out and XXXX to your office that was listed and signed off on for delivery. i was told that it wasnt receivied in time so i filed a complaint and suddenly i was given the modification for extension and a lower payment of {$250.00} a month after complaint filed with CFPB. which i paid up until i sent in payoff amount.this modification also constituted a new contract. since XXXX end of contract, my payments were marked late and invoices were also marked late. now we are headed into the fraudulent reporting of my payments.
all my payments from end of original contract XXXX, under a new modification contract stated by your company had been reported as late up until my final payment of $ 1900+. by reporting my payments late when actually were received and cashed, to me, seems like fraud and intent to harm me financially. all these payments since XXXX end of contract had been marked 30, 60, 90 days up to 240 days late even when received on time, there wasnt any payment i sent that was 30 days late during the XXXX end of contract to final payment XX/XX/XXXX. if there was it was because payment was held without cause to create more revenue for your company Ditech/Greentree.
i will be sending a copy of this email and also filing a complaint with the bankruptcy court.

Didn't receive services that were advertised
Complaint: I had a bankruptcy several years ago - only on credit cards. I reaffirmed my home mortgage, but Ditech has never reported to the credit agencies since then that I make my mortgage payments each month for years now - which would help improve my credit score. Please help me. I need to increase my credit score. Ditech has filed bankruptcy themselves and now my mortgage is going to XXXX XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX-XXXX, phone numbers - customer service XXXX and collections XXXX. Every time I had my bankruptcy attorney send a reaffirmation of my home mortgage - they would just say it wasnt the right paper. So now my bankruptcy attorney says he wont help anymore. Please help me - Im a single mom to a XXXX year old boy who is on the spectrum for XXXX, a XXXX XXXX, and I divorced my sons father ( my ex-husband ) because he was so abusive to myself and my son. I still cant seem to financially recover from that horrible time in my life even though I filed for divorce in XX/XX/2011.

Complaint: I was paying property taxes separate from mortgage. I fell behind 3 years @ XXXX per yr totaling XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX paid it and allowed me to pay XXXX over the mortgage of XXXX + current taxes + past due taxes XXXX per month starting in XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX sold my mortgage to XXXX then Green Tree is where the problems began. Green Tree/DiTech started utilizing those funds by forced placed insurance ( when I had insurance ). In XX/XX/XXXX DiTech would have been paid back XXXX for the mortgage back taxes but still claimed we owed them XXXX. On 2 separate occasions I have tried to resolve this issue but was not successful. Each time we filed a complaint GreenTree/DiTech would began harassment with forced placed insurance, sending court documents about suing for the house being lost in bankruptcy XX/XX/XXXX, and returning payments, paid insurance w/o permission and the following year failed to pay do our insurance lapsed. Now that DiTech is in bankruptcy I reached out to XXXX XXXX for assistance but they failed to provide any assistance. We never stopped making the payment Ditech started returning them so they could foreclose on the property. Please help

Complaint: Ditech Financial LLC, servicer of my loan and escrow account disbursed funds from my account with out my knowledge or consent for fruaduent 3rd party life insurance product. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX was disbursed for insurance according to most recent prinouts i recieved from Ditech. On XX/XX/XXXX a disbursement of XXXX was paid out. I was never informed of this. Over time my escrow shortages continued even when i would pay additional .They were continually advancing funds to pay my escrow and then charging me the shortages. I reviewd account and there was insurnace placed on it from 3rd party lief insurance broker of some sort. In XXXX i discovered the payout to the insurance broker. I asked for the document and teh agent at ditech faxed me a frauduent document showing a scribble on a life insurance document to have insurance added to my account at a cost. I immedietly informed thm of the fraud and they took the insurance off yet never informed me of the Large payouts to the company. I requested my documents. The ledger on my paymnets and what they have processed has many disrepancies in addiition to th payouts in XXXX. I have now contacted htem on mutiple occasions with no resolve and continue getting statements of escrow shortage that dont correlate with increases in taxes/ins.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX asked for modification and received note from Greentree showing loan interest rate drop to 6 % and new payment to be {$1500.00} effective XX/XX/XXXX. ( XX/XX/XXXX spouse lost job and we were able to pay until XX/XX/XXXX ) XX/XX/XXXX filed a motion to get a loan modification from Greentree and also filed with Michigan Homeowners Assistance. Got help paying 5 years of taxes and was also told the loan modification we received in XXXX was not a true modification. Housing value was not brought down to value in area.
XX/XX/XXXX tried again to get a loan modification because feferred amount showing {$45000.00} and we were told we didn't have a XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX loan so we did not qualify and investor would not work with us.
XX/XX/XXXX sent letter to Ditech asking why we still owed so much on the loan and trying to find proof of the loan modification and they said everything was done over the phone and they could not show proof.
XX/XX/XXXX met with realtor to put house up for sale, received a payoff of {$230000.00} but on the mortgage statement and credit report it shows {$170000.00}. Called Ditech several times and just keep getting the run around and transferred to different people.
XX/XX/XXXX received a letter from Ditech that our original account was closed and a new account number was given to us. Now we received a new statement and letter stating our payoff is {$270000.00}. The payments were making are going to a deferred account and no one can explain why or where the new amount came from.
Ditech filed bankruptcy and this is when our account number changed and also now our credit report is showing a charge off. WHY we still can't find out.
According the the Michigan Affordable Housing Ditech ( Greentree ) did not do a true modification but just lowered our interest rate and put everything on the end of the loan. Another reason we are questioning and where is documentation.

Complaint: on XX/XX/2019 Ditech Financial increased my Escrow payments based upon revaluation of my property ( ( mortgage increase from {$990.00} to $ 1,048/monthly ).
I had already applied for and been approved for an exclusion on my property taxes, based on my age and income. My property value was decreased by almost half ( {$260000.00} to {$130000.00} )! I spoke with tax department people at Ditech and faxed them copies of revaluation papers received from county assessors office on XX/XX/2019. The purpose of the revaluation was specifically to keep this from occurring.
Their excuse is $ amount of taxes is needed for corrective action. However, No One ( neither they not I ) know the dollar amount ; hasn't been released yet.Yet, you can guesstimate the increase based on original valuation?

Complaint: Many phone calls have been undocumented, but emails, faxes and written letters have.
I noticed XX/XX/XXXX that monthly payments were not coming out by autopay from my XXXX account for 3 mo, but were being paid, according to Ditech ( coming out of someone elses account ). There was an account number mistake. So XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX was unpaid by me from my XXXX account, despite being set up for Autopay. I called and made a lump sum payment on XX/XX/XXXX of {$5500.00} being for XX/XX/XXXX {$1800.00}, XX/XX/XXXX {$1800.00}, XX/XX/XXXX {$1800.00} After that regular payments were made by autopay out of the XXXX account.
XX/XX/XXXX, email from Ditech to me, response to my contact regarding XX/XX/XXXX payment. Ditech says a payment was returned. My bank records show all payments were made and I supplied Ditech with my bank statements to prove this. Ditech said they would respond by mail.
XX/XX/XXXX. Letter from Ditech. Received my question XX/XX/XXXX will respond within 30 days.
XX/XX/XXXX. Tracking Reference # XXXX ( Email ) In response to your phone call XX/XX/XXXX, we have completed our research and have resolved the issue ( s ). Sincerely, Ditech. It was not resolved. Ditech maintained that a payment was returned.
XX/XX/XXXX. Letter from Ditech. XX/XX/XXXX Ditech says they received my payment from XXXX {$2100.00} which was applied to the XX/XX/XXXX payment. XX/XX/XXXX Ditech says they reversed {$1800.00} for the payment received XX/XX/XXXX! They say they were notified XX/XX/XXXX, delayed more than a yr! This payment should have been reversed a yr ago along with 2 others that had been paid by someone else. All 3 pmts that were missed due to an account # mistake were pd in a lump sum XX/XX/XXXX. I have no idea what they did on their end ( Ditech ) with the payments that were received from someone elses account for those 3 months ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ) XX/XX/XXXX Letter from Ditech saying I have a missed payment of {$1800.00} ( amt of XX/XX/XXXX pmt ) along with a late fee of {$89.00} for a total of {$1900.00} past due. There was no indication of when this late lack of payment occurred. Only now am I figuring it out.
Spoke w/ XXXX XXXX Ph XXXX after receiving the letter. Mentioned there was an audit and in XX/XX/XXXX there was a reversal XX/XX/XXXX for {$1800.00} ( the XX/XX/XXXX payment that was paid by someone else from another account ).
XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, Letters from Ditech notifying me of a missed payment, past due amount {$1800.00} Not even sure where this amount comes from. It's not any of the 3 payment amounts from XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX.
XX/XX/XXXX Called Ditech. Spoke to XXXX XXXX XXXX. Told me I needed to submit a written dispute for missed payment from XX/XX/XXXX ( which was wrong, was XX/XX/XXXX ) with supporting documentation of bank statements ( which I did, but I provided what he asked for, which was XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX ) instead of XX/XX/XXXX. I submitted the dispute in writing by certified mail and email to [email protected] XX/XX/XXXX I tried contacting them again and received an email XX/XX/XXXX RE : Written dispute for missed payment. Thank you for your correspondence. Your documents have been forwarded for appropriate processing.
XX/XX/XXXX Another Letter from Ditech notifying me of a missed payment, past due amount of {$1800.00} another random amount that doesn't match anything.
XX/XX/XXXX Letter from Ditech with a packet of papers ( 13 pages ) detailing the payment history for the account starting XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Shows the payments made ( not from my account ) for XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX. Then my lump sum payment of {$5500.00} XX/XX/XXXX which was all applied to principle, which was then reversed ( returned check ) a day later. On the same day XX/XX/XXXX returned check totalling {$1800.00} ( the XX/XX/XXXX payment ). On XX/XX/XXXX payments were made from suspended funds for {$3700.00} however it does not add up to the XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX amounts should have been {$3700.00} Then a returned check on XX/XX/XXXX a year later for {$1800.00} the amount of the XX/XX/XXXX payment.
I've paid every amt each month since XX/XX/XXXX and the slate should be clean.
To resolve this matter 1. the XX/XX/XXXX payment of {$5500.00} needs to be reinstated and applied to the XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX payments for principle, interest and escrow. There was no missing payments ever. I do not owe Ditech anything other than monthly payments which have always been on time and paid by autopay from an account that has always had enough funds to pay. I am willing to provide any documentation necessary to prove I have paid every monthly payment on time to the full amount.
2. Remove any late fees.
3. Apply the unapplied amount to resolve the XX/XX/XXXX payment that should have been paid, not returned.
4. My credit report needs to be restored, remove any evidence of late payments, and restore my credit score history as regards to accounts with Ditech.
