An identity thief used my personal information without my permission to open an account several account in my name this debt is not mine. I have enclosed proof of my identity and a copy of my Identity Theft Report. In accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I am asking you to stop collection proceedings against me and stop communicating with me about this debt, except as the Fair Credit Reporting Act allows. Complaint: Discover Bank holds my deposits and transfer-in for unreasonable periods, making it impossible to access funds and earn proper interest. When I deposited my check via the mobile application, I received an email saying my fund will be available 1 business day after deposit day if the deposit occurs on a business day. I deposited {$300.00} on XXXX XXXX, 2016 and they released {$200.00} on XXXX XXXX, 2016 and hold {$100.00} till XXXX XXXX, 2016 while all the fund has been deducted from the withdrawal account on XXXX XXXX. For transfers from external account, they hold the funds for 2-3 days before making it available for use even though my external account has been deducted. I believe this is a malpractice as they hold my money for extended period and I lose interest on these funds.

Complaint: I was looking through my most recent DiscoverCard statement and noticed a {$70.00} charge for Payment Protection. After XXXX it the first few results were " Is P.P. a scam ''. I read this was optional and tracked it back to my very first statement in XXXX. I had never signed up for it. After adding up what I have paid thus far it totals {$3800.00}. I have been charged over {$700.00} in just XX/XX/XXXX alone!! That is almost {$4000.00} I have paid for something I never asked for nor opted into. Mind you this does n't include all of the interest also accrued do to these charges. It currently sits as 46 % of my current statement total. I called DiscoverCard to ask what they could do for me and the representative said the best they could do for me was give me back the last six months of charges. I asked him distinctly and clearly three separate times " So what your saying is I have been charged almost {$4000.00} for something I never signed up for and the only thing you can do for me is refund the last 6 months? '' which his reply was yes all three times. I hung up and decided to come here to use the protections within to help solve this very expensive issue that so many other people have experienced and have been taken advantage of. Its such a problem that the FDIC & CFPB have jointly forced Discover to pay restitution to effected parties.

Complaint: Discover credit card has been ignoring my requests of providing documents to justify the percentage of its reward program. I responded to 10 % XXXX Friday offer on purchase made at XXXX. I purchased XXXX tires totaling in {$370.00}. I was expecting 10 % of the reward, however, it was never given to me.
XXXX of Discover contacted me on XXXX, but he failed to follow up, nor provide any explanation or reward to my account. I contacted Discover card against, they told me that I was credited {$1.00}. How {$1.00} is related to {$370.00} purchase? Discover initially told me that XXXX offered 5 % instead of 10 %, even so, 5 % of {$370.00} is {$18.00}, not {$1.00}.
This company has been cheating me out of my reward money.
In addition, Discover had mis-handled my dispute request. It was {$10.00} dispute, Discover initiated as {$750.00}.

Complaint: XXXX have harassed, threatened me for a fraudulent debt they purchased from XXXX XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX. I requested a copy of the signed contract with Discover, an itemized " bill '' and proof that I opened a credit card, they refused. The judgement expired on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) filed a Writ of Revival on XX/XX/XXXX which is past the XXXX and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Due to similar proven illegal actions, XXXX have recently been fined XXXX for these illegal activities. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX created a new docket number and filed my social security number at the XXXX XXXX courthouse. XXXX never withdrew their " entry of appearance ''. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX sent a request for interrogatories, which I responded in to the attached letter. If a debt is n't paid within 180 days, it 's written off. XX/XX/XXXX personally buy these debts, get away with these illegal action because XXXX XXXX sits on different boards, has family members/friends working in the XXXX court house. XXXX XXXX has been noted in a recent Supreme Case and has been warned to stop threatening and harassing, " The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has fined a XXXX law firm and the debt collection company it worked with and ordered them to stop filing abusive debt-collection lawsuits. '' This is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. They are attempting to sue me for a debt I did not sign for, the debt is too old to be sued on and are attempting to seize property. I have attached all documents, including a letter to XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: I was mailed an offer from Discover for a rate of 15.24 %. I called to verify the offer before I applied for it online and was told it was correct. When I applied with them my credit score was a XXXX. My promotion ended with them and now they have charged me a rate of 23 %. That 's insane. When I spoke with a manager they said they would lower new purchases to 18 %. They said when I opened the account it was 22 %. Why was I offered a lower rate today when my score was higher at time of opening? I want what I was told. I feel like they are trying to rob me XXXX.

Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. My Discover credit card was used without my authorization. I contacted Discover card and submitted a fraud dispute. As per Discover dispute department requests, I submitted a affidavit and filed a police report. Discover is stating they denied my dispute and will transfer the balance to my account. I spoke to XXXX a representative at Discover Dispute and requested to speak to a supervisor. I have not received a response as of yet.

Having problems with customer service
Complaint: The loan was sold by XXXX to Discover, ever since Discover has canceled my autopay eight times, set autopay up to the incorrect checking account three times, input the incorrect addresses ten times, and now has increased my payment amount with no notification and will not change the amount that my autopay is for regardless of four attempts to have it changed. They instead are sending me late notices for {$5.00}, imposing late fees, and reporting late payment to the credit bureaus.
In my opinion they are committing fraud by refusing to change my autopay amount to the correct amount and instead trying to collect fees. There is no way for me to change the amount myself, it is something they need to do.
