Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/2016, I rented a car from XXXX XXXX and on XXXX XXXX, 2016 turned in the car at the airport in my city. On XXXX/XXXX/2016, when I made the online reservation, I prepaid for the vehicle for the amount of time needed. On XXXX/XXXX/2016, I was charged an additional fee of ( {$78.00} ) which appeared on my Discover Card statement. I contacted XXXX XXXX but was not given a reason for the extra charge. However, the amount ( {$150.00} ) which I prepaid to use the vehicle was validated. I contacted Discover Card to dispute the ( {$78.00} ) however was unable to get my money back because XXXX XXXX simply provided a copy of the bill for the extra charge. Discover Card did not understand that I had already paid for use of the rental car when I paid ( {$150.00} ) and that no additional charges or fees were necessary or warranted. There was no damage to the vehicle and there was a full tank of gas. When I spoke with the billing department of XXXX, the individual with whom I spoke could not explain the extra ( {$78.00} ) and referred me to the airport location where I rented the car. When I finally reached someone at the airport location of XXXX, I was told to call the billing department with customer service.
I am getting the run around from both XXXX and Discover Card, but need my money back from the double dip that XXXX placed against my credit card account.

Complaint: I asked my credit card provider to reduce my APR ( annual percentage rate ), since I feel it is too high even though I have been a good customer for more than a year. The provider refuses to reduce my APR, for the below reason : " Credit line decrease on your account within the past 4 months '' I have never had a credit line decrease in my lifetime of using credit cards ; in fact my credit line has only increased in the time frame mentioned. I have called the credit analysts who are supposed to be rectifying the problem numerous times, but the problem still persists after two whole months ( my first complaint was made in XXXX ).
I have been told repeatedly that this is a technical issue and should be resolved in a few days, but it has taken a very long time and it still has n't been resolved, even though it is not my fault whatsoever. There is no reason for the bank to deny me an APR decrease even though my credit usage has been excellent ; I have not been given any other reason for the provider 's inaction apart from the one mentioned above, and the provider refuses to take action until this technical issue is resolved, which they neither resolve nor give a concrete timeline for.
I feel that it is unfair of the provider to take advantage of me this way ; I have always made my credit card payments on time in full ( multiple payments a month ) ; I have been a good customer in good times ; I fear that if I fall on bad times, the provider is unwilling to have my back and fleece me in my time of need through ridiculously high APRs ( greater than 20 % ) which it refuses to decrease.

Complaint: I received a balance transfer offer from Discover and before I took advantage of the offer I called Discover customer service to check on how the payment apply because I had some balance on high interest rate. They assured to me that the payment apply to the high interest balance first till it paid off and then apply the payment to the lower interest. I got this confirmation twice from XXXX different persons. I called the third time to transfer the balance and to confirm how the payment is applied to the balance. Based on XXXX confirmation I transferred some balance and signed up for automatic payment draft of {$250.00} per month to pay of the high interest balance in about one year.
I found out later that I was misinformed and lied to and the payment that I have been making for more than 2 or so years applied to the lower interest rate first and any amount above the minimum apply to the higher interest rate to keep my balance of the higher interest rate almost unpaid. I feel that I have been ripped of my hard earning money and I was treated unfairly by Discover after being a loyal customer for almost 16 years.
I spoke with account manager over 7 weeks ago and she promised that she will file my complain with the corporate and get back to me, when I never heard back I called gain and spoke with another account manager/ supervisor her name is XXXX and she told me straight that there is nothing I could do nor there is nothing that the corporate office will change for me, then I really felt that they have been taking my money intentionally and I was misguided by Discover.

Received bad information about my loan
Complaint: I am filing another complaint on behalf of my son. The original complain is Case number : XXXX. We were over 2 months behind on my son 's student loans due to the fact that Discover was asking for over XXXX % of his salary. We were paying what we could but Discover never recoginized it unless it was the full payment. I called and setup a plan with Discover to divide a {$2400.00} dollar payment into three equal payments and with each payment, it would reduce the days late by 30 days until it was paid out. We made our last of the XXXX installments on XX/XX/XXXX. The system still shows 57 days late and they havent sent the appropiate information to the credit bureaus. They say they didnt say it would reduce the days late by 30 days but I know they did. Just ask for the recordings of our calls. I would like an answer and I would like them to do what they agree to.

Complaint: I used the Discover Deals section of the Discover.com website to make a purchase with a 5 % cashback bonus. I used this page ( XXXX ) to buy a XXXX and get 5 % back, but when I asked a Discover representative later for more information they said my purchase was excluded, even though XXXX was not listed under exceptions for the deal at the time. The representative acknowledged that the live site at the time did not exclude the purchase, and said they would investigate further. The next day XXXX was added to the list of exclusions, and I was told I would not receive the 5 % back, so I canceled the charge. Attached is a print out of the original deal before it was changed and a transcript of my correspondence with Discover.

Complaint: Discover credit cards have a rotating 5 % cashback category. The categories are intentionally ambiguous so that consumers do n't know whether they are in category or not. The current category is " department stores ''. I utilized the Discover Card at XXXX stores, only to find that XXXX is not classified as a Department store but rather as a " discount store ''. The definition of " department store '' in the dictionary is a store with many departments, which is clearly what XXXX is. Credit card companies should be required to specifically define what these categories mean. This is not the first time I 've been burned by Discover. I asked Discover to make good on its promise of 5 % and they refuse. I could have received 5 % using my XXXX credit card, but instead used Discover. My net loss is {$75.00}.

Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam, I am filing a complaint about Discover credit card ( account # XXXX ). This account was opened on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and according to the terms and conditions, the card will receive XXXX miles per every dollar spent and the first 12 month 's earned miles will receive a match bonus. Since account opening, I have earned XXXX miles. My account has always been paid timely.
Discover card closed my account for no reason on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, just a few days before the first annual anniversary. After my account closure, they not only denied my last statement miles credit but also told me that I would not receive the annual match credit. They stated that their program policy is if the account is closed, it will not receive the match bonus.
It is apparent that Discover card closed my account just 4 days before the 12-month anniversary just to deny my due credit of {$2300.00}. Discover has been trying to deceive its customers to open and use their credit cards with a promotion that they know they will deny in the end. This type of deceptive practice can not be allowed. I am hereby asking discover card to credit my account XXXX miles in cash format of {$2300.00} as a direct deposit to my linked bank account.

Complaint: Hi, My friend refereed me for Discover Credit Card and me & my wife jointly applied for the credit card. We XXXX in XXXX 2016 & I hold other bank credit card since XXXX 2016 with good history. But my discover credit card was rejected saying " No long Credit History ''.
But the person who refereed me + other person from my company got Discover credit card XXXX within 2/3 months, applied to Credit Card & they got it WITHOUT any history of Credit / Credit card.
It seems either out of discrimination Discover card is not approving my Card OR they are not letting me know the correct reason for not approving my card. I had filled the complain with their call center but not getting any proper answer from them
