Complaint: I have a loan through caliber home loans and have XXXX as a payment reduction plan.
I have made several attempts to contact caliber due to the fact that they are not paying the funds properly. Caliber pays the payment forward instead of reducing the principal of the loan. This has been going on for several years now. I call them and caliber will comply for a month or two and then go back to the same problem again and again. So I called XXXX to resolve this and have an audit performed as to insure my funds are being applied in the proper manor. Just as with me caliber keeps rotating staff so as to make it impossible to speak to a complaint person and refused to comply with XXXX to provide the nessasary documentation to allow this process to be completed. I called caliber at least 6 times and XXXX has sent repeated letters via email and even had a conference to insure that it was OK to provide this information to a secondary company for security reason. Now I 'm at the end and this is why I contact you. I have nowhere else to turn. I 'm trapped between XXXX large companies that keep placing walls that I can not get through. Caliber will not comply with XXXX even after all the attempted contacts were made and both companies have full documentation of all attempts, calls and emails that have been sent or made.

Complaint: I am beside myself. I have been unemployed for one year, I have worked my entire life, and not once utilized public assistance. In my time of need, I have been met by denials by non profits, HUD Counselors, Caliber Mortgage, and XXXX AZ lawyers. By XXXX/XXXX/2015 I will be on the street with my daughter. She has been traumatized by the mounting stressors of having utilities shut off, minimal food, and increasing detriment to her self esteem. I am a XXXX who is chastised daily XXXX who is reveling at my failure. I have no faith in humanity due to having no assistance, advocate, or thought of my child. I can no longer call people to help as I do not think I can take in any more rejection.

Complaint: Mortgage company has out right lied about numerous issues. They have received modification papers through the USPS 4 times and signed for them, but still say they have not received them. They have told me my home was worth XXXX and I listed it for XXXX last week. They told me that the county told them to tear down XXXX decks and a front entrance covered stoop, but I have an official XXXX document which says they never even spoke with anyone concerning my property. The decks and the stoop have been estimated at over XXXX to be replaced. This non-justified removal of these items have devalued my property extensively. The contractor that was hired called XXXX has no license nor insurance to do work in XXXX and no permits were issued for the work. While on my roof, XXXX of the workers drove a XXXX '' diameter concrete anchor through a roof valley which caused a huge leak. The leak poured so hard into my newly built master suite that it went right through the new Pergo wood floor, the sub-flooring ( XXXX layers ) and poured directly onto a support pier underneath the addition and caused sagging. This roof and flooring issue has since been repaired and many other issues that their hired contractor has caused to be defective has also been corrected. I was on the phone on XXXX with XXXX XXXX of XXXX through Making Home Affordable services when we called Caliber Home Loans and requested a new modification package. Caliber claimed they would send XXXX out within 7-10 business days yet none were received. I went to the mail today on XXXX and received a foreclosure notice to be held on XXXX giving me little time to correct this. We were also told on the same phone call with Caliber that I qualified for a Deed In Lieu along with a short ale option, but as of today XXXX Caliber claims this option is n't open. I was with XXXX XXXX with the XXXX Department XXXX XXXX on XXXX and she listened to an over 40 minute phone call with me asking for documentation carried over from the previous weeks requests from Caliber concerning the company that did the work at my home tearing off the decks and stoop and also replacing the decks with stairs which none would pass any XXXX or state codes by more than XXXX different reasons. While on the phone the representative XXXX XXXX witnessed lies from the Caliber contact when I called out that I was just told XXXX different reasons for me not being able to get my requested information concerning the contractor who destroyed tens of thousands of value off my property. She explained that the XXXX would act upon this situation and is awaiting a full complaint which I am almost complete with now. I called Caliber today XXXX and was told I did not qualify for a Deed In Lieu today. I have been lied to so often it makes my head spin. Caliber is practicing unfair and illegal activities on my home and property and should be held liable for any and all of it 's illegal practices. I have owned my home since the very beginning of it being built XX/XX/XXXX. I built XXXX additions doubling the square footage and also built a custom full electric/plumbing detached shop. It 's on the lake with XXXX ' of lakefront property with a dock for boats. I made insurance claims regarding theft of my personal property with was cosigned by myself under the quote that the funds would be released after I signed the checks. Caliber has since kept the checks saying it was a matter of " symantics '' on whose money that the insurance checks were to be kept. I 'm truly in awe that such crimes can be committed by a business and brushed under the carpet while in front of so many eyes. I do not understand why a hard working XXXX man who has worked hard for over 22 years investing thousands into his home can be taken advantage of like this

Complaint: My wife and I submitted an offer on XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FL, XXXX. We already had financing in place and submitted our pre-approval letter with our offer. However, in order for our offer to even be considered, Caliber Home Loans required that we get pre-approved through them. I was not comfortable with this as I know RESPA strictly forbids mortgage steering even if it is for pre-qualification. We cave to their request because we absolutely love the home and wanted to start our family there.
It went to a highest and best offer scenario, which the listing agent, XXXX XXXX, contacted my agent on XXXX/XXXX/2015 around XXXX and advised her that Caliber Home Loans accepted our offer, contingent on the change of the closing date, reduce inspection period to 7 days, and they wanted us to use Caliber Home Loans financing. I was again uncomfortable with this " mortgage steering '' activity, but we love the home and did n't want to lose it. Caliber Home Loans interest rate was XXXX % while I was pre-approved at XXXX % with my already secured financing. My realtor sent listing agent a text message advising him that we accepted the changes and he replied stating he would update portals so the bank is aware.
On XXXX/XXXX/2015 at XXXX, I received an email from XXXX XXXX at Caliber Home Loans stating, " Congratulations! I understand that you have an accepted contract on the XXXX property. I would like to schedule a time to talk with you about next steps. When will you be available to talk? " I did not hear back from XXXX after informing him I was available to speak at anytime. At approximately around XXXX, I was then informed by my realtor that there was a mix up and XXXX Caliber Home Loans representatives were working on the file and XXXX offers were simultaneously accepted and that the bank decided to accept other offer.
Not only did we lose the home of our dreams, we have received an additional hard credit inquiry on our credit as a result of the listing agent and his client participating in the forbidden act of " mortgage steering. '' If our offer was accepted, we would have instant equity in the home in the area of {$30000.00}.
Further, Caliber Home Loans fees seem to be relatively high and the least sophisticated consumer would not know any better.

Complaint: Caliber Home Loans has misappropriated my mortgage payment and they are claiming that I have not paid my mortgage since XXXX 2015. This is inaccurate and I have my bank records showing that Caliber cashed the checks. I have written a letter to Caliber Home Loans with attachments showing that I am current with my loan payments and they are still threatening to foreclose on my property. It is a simple adding and subtracting issue on their end that they refuse to remedy.

Complaint: Caliber Home loan is delaying payment processing time online to collect late fees or processing fees over the phone. The company grants you a 15 days grace period to pay your mortgage but I logged online to their website at XXXX EST on Friday morning, XXXX/XXXX/2015 and it states that the my check payment will not post today but rather Tuesday, XXXX XXXX which will in turn cause a late fee. I have processed several payments online for loans, like credit cards and car payments and the check payment is posted the same day and will be pulled out 5 days later on average. I do not understand if I make a payment on Friday Morning why would it take 3 business days to be posted to my account. Friday is a business day and what happen to Monday. The company selected Tuesday because a {$34.00} late fee would apply to your account. Late fees are " Extra Income '' for the company and I am sure that this is where the company 's bonus is coming from. To avoid a late fee charge, I called to make a payment over the phone which is a {$15.00} fee. I used the same checking that I was going to use online so why is n't there a delay over the phone? The company is not working for the best interest of their customers or creating a win-win for their customers but rather working in the best interest of their shareholders. I do understand that this is a company that operates off of capital but I do think that they should be fair and ethical. They are working the system and it 's unfair and needs to be stopped or the company needs to be fined!!! I would like my {$15.00} credited back but also for Caliber Home loan to change their payment posting delay online because I know that they could have posted that payment on Monday instead of Tuesday.

Complaint: I had recently put in a complaint via your website because of some injustices that I feel had been going with my loan servicer, Caliber Home Loans. Previously my file was not being reviewed properly or was getting dropped out of review because Caliber claimed that I was not sending in documents, when in fact I had been. In addition, Caliber has been running a duel process of having my file in review along with active foreclosure sale dates, which I have been told in California is not legal to do. I recently was declined again XX/XX/XXXX, due to low income, so I resent a new application showing over a 40 % increase in income ( I am self employed so my income can increase significantly ) XX/XX/XXXX and last week I was told that my sale date was on hold and that my file was in review. Today, XXXX/XXXX/15, I call for another update and have been told that my file was declined on XXXX/XXXX/15, only XXXX days after I emailed my documents and that my sale date is now on for XXXX/XXXX/15. I spoke to the rep and they told me that they used an income of over {$7400.00} against only {$5500.00} in debts. How is it that my debts are excessive if this is the case. I have also expressed that I am willing to take a higher payment than my previous payment because I just want to get back on track. I do not have enough to bring my loan current and I keep getting told that they can not modify my loan because I already have 2 %.
